Drilldown with Open Document API

Hi
I am having a problem in BI. Please anyone help of solving this. The problem is like that:
I have a report with drilldown capabilities. Report is like that KPI Vs YEAR. Now after drilldown the report change to KPI Vs Month. Now Month has a hyperlink that switch the report to the another report (details record of that particular month). Now i want a add a feature something like this: from details records Is there any way to back to my master report with last status(KPI Vs Month). I have made a solution, from details report using Open document API i can switch to the master report but it has an initial stage like KPI Vs YEAR. But when i switched to the details report from master report, the master report has the stage like KPI Vs Month.

Hi Arif,
I usually add the parameter sWindow=New to the URL that drills from the master to the detail report (i.e. in your example from Month and KPI to the new report). This makes the detail report open in a new window. The user gets back to his starting point (the monthly view) by simply closing the browser window of the detailed report.

Problem with Open document SSO using websphere.

Hi All,
I have a issue,
We configured AD SSO using websphere and its working fine but when we try to login to the open document SSO using websphere it prompting for login credentials.
Is there any steps needed for configure open document SSO using websphere.
We made all the changes in web.xml file for the Open Document ,same as in Infoview web.xml file.
When we launch the Open Document, it prompts for the login screen, we get username and passwd fields we do not get the authentication drop down,if we give the AD credentials , we get "Enterprise Authentication error" .We feel the default authentication mode is taken as "Enterprise".
We have made changes in the web.xml for open document to have authentication.dafault as "secWinAD", also ,for test purpose we made the authentication. visible as "true" but the changes were not taken, we have redeployed the war files.
Any one please help on this.
Environment Details-
BOBJ XI R3.1 SP2
Web Sphere 6.1.0.25 .

The same settings in the infoviewapp web.xml must be applied on the opendocument web.xml. Also you must be on XI 3.1 FP1 or higher. There is currently an Edge issue being investigated.

Proplem with opening documents with Reader 9.1

Hello Together.
I hope someone can help me.
I have a interesting problem. When i want open a PDF Document with a doubleclick, then the Reader hangs most time. This will happen on different documents. If i open this document over Acrobat Reader menu, the document will open correctly.
The next crazy point is, if i want rename the folder which contains the pdf files, the explorer will hang also.
Our configuration.
Windows Vista SP1 and SP2
Profile Path local
Adobe Reader 9.1.2
Domain Logon.
What i have tested:
- Same installation with a local user account. = Works.
- Reinstall = problem exists
I have found a small thing. If i delete the UserCache.bin file int the APPDATA, then it works until the files is recreated.
Other PDF reader from other companies works without any problem.
I hope somebody can give me some hints or a solution for this problem.

I am experiencing a similar problem as well with Reader 9.1.
I am unable to open a PDF file by double clicking. The file is displayed with a PDF/Adobe icon so the file is associated with Adobe Reader. However when you double click a dialogue box appears saying that it was unable to open the file as Adobe Acrobat Reader needs to be installed first, which it is. I have tried un-installing, then re-installing but still it happens.
If I open Adobe Reader and then drag the file in to the Adobe Reader window it will open the document OK.
Any ideas why this is happening?

Fold/UnFold XI 3.1 with Open Document

Hi guys,
I'm with the following issue,
When I open my report(Web Intelligence) from infoview the report is opened with the fold functionality pressed. My problem is when I open the report from my dashboard (XCelsius) calling an openDocument URL. The fold/unfold functionality is display however the fold isn't pressed. I'd like that when the user opened the report the fold functionality would be pressed.

I tried to replicate the scenario but i am not facing this issue.
I have followed below steps.
1) Created a sample report using Island Resort Marketing Universe using Country, resort and revenue objects.
2) Created a section on Country
3) Clicked the Fold button
4) Save the report.
In Infoview, report is viewed and i am able to see the Folds at sections and Fold button as pressed.
Now I go to Xcelsius and drag a URL button to canvas, and specify the below URL
http://BOservername:8080/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sType=wid&iDocID=29879
and export this to Infoview.
When I viewed the Flash file in Infoview and clicked the URL button, i am able to see the Folds as well as Fold button is in clicked state.
Please try the above steps and let me know if you have any issues.

DDE Poke to WinWord 2010 with open Document (Format Docx)

We have a DDE Client in a big old software and use Winword 2010 as DDE Server. Execute and request commands works as expected. There is only trouble with sending data via poke and that only if the Word document has the new file format (docx or docm).
Sometimes Word crash, sometimes nothing is happen and sometime not displayable chars appear. It depends on what was sent. If the document format changed to 2003 everything is fine. It's seems Word changes its interpretation of the ASCII text which was send
via DDE poke.
Do we have a chance to use DDE with Winword 2010 and the new document format without rewrite the whole software?

Open document issue using Xcelsius WIH 00013

All,
I have Open Document that behaves correctly when I copy and paste it into address bar of a browser. It also works fine when I try to connect from one Webi report to another (so far so good). But when I use the link in Xcelsius, via a URL component, I get the following message:
Invalid Session: Please close your browser and logon again. (WIH 00013)
Previous posts on forumtopics.com suggests that this is a Tomcat time out issue. However, other open document calls from other Xcelsius dashboards with open document work without issue. Has anyone seen this before? I have included the hyperlink text. Please note long prompt text is courtesy of a BEx query in BW .

XI 3.0, Open Document and scheduling

All,
We've noticed an issue with open document function when using strings with more than one word (eg San Diego). Only the first word (San) gets passed. Report scheduling also fails when we enter in strings with two words. Single word strings work fine with scheduling.
Our back end is SAP BEx query.

Hello,
we have a Problem with opening Documents in SharePoint 2013 with Office Web Apps.
By clicking the Document in SharePoint, Internet Explorer will we open and asked: "Show all content"
By clicking the Button, the Document will be shown by Office Web Apps.
By opening the Document in Firefox-Browser, the following Message appears:
Although this page is encrypted, the
information you have entered via an unencrypted connection
will be transmitted and can be easily read by third parties.
If this information is actually sent? By clicking "continue" - nothing happens!!!!!
Is there a Problem with the Certificate?

Open Documents in transaction CV04N

Dear Experts
During opening Documents in DMS in transaction CV04N occured this message:
The file C:\DOCUME1\dir\LOCALS1\Temp\file.t cannot be created.
At the beginning of work with open Documents everything is ok, but after open few documents occured this problem.
I have never met before with this problem.
Have you any solution or hint with this?

How do you place an image on 'new background" when open documents in tabs is unchecked

I am trying to use "mirror technique" (watching videos to learn)
I opened image in PS 2014....with "open documents as tabs is Unchecked..
made a new document the size that will hold the doubled image...
duplicated the image
flipped horizontal...
but when I place on "new document"...nothing happens....just separate windows..

On image 1, CTRL+A to select all.
CTRL+C to copy.
Switch to image 2, CTRL+V to paste.

We want to know how to integrate open document Management API thru java.

I did a Google search for "ODMA Java". The first two hits I got were two of your posts here. That tells you how much useful information there is on the topic. The third hit was an FAQ; in August 2000 somebody asked "What is the Java support for ODMA?" and nobody has answered yet. The fifth hit is an article that suggests you don't waste your time with ODMA.
This may not seem helpful but it really is. It tells you that you should be trying something else.

Problem Saving or Opening Documents with Office 2013 Home & Business

as the title says, I'm running into a problem when trying to save or open Documents in Word,Excel,etc. (all Office Programs)
I get the message "Microsoft Word stopped working". Or Excel, Powerpoint...
I already tried to deinstall and used the Office-FixIt-Tool to clean the PC.
I also updated the driver for my Graphic-Card, installed the newest Windows-Updates and checked if it is caused by an Add-In.
None of this helped. The Problem still exists when starting in Safe-Mode.

Hello George,
No, it has never worked.
For testing I installed Office 2010 and this worked fine.
But as I said, all versions had been deinstalled before reinstalling Office 2013 (even cleaned up with the FixIt-Tool).

When I open a pdf document from my dropbox to view it, the document shows up blank, even though it is filled out. This also happened with pdf documents that have been e-mailed to me.

When I open a pdf document from my dropbox to view it, the document appears blank, even though I know the information is actually there. This also has happened with pdf documents that have been e-mailed to me, then opened to view and they are blank?? Why are they showing up blank?

When I open emails with PDFs I click on the attachment (doing this all on my iPad) it gives me the option to "open in iBooks", I accept then after that the document is sucked into my iPad but I can't do anything with the PDF after that. Where is the actual file on my iPad? Why can't I email or send these PDFs to my cloud (Dropbox)?
It's like once they go into iBooks they're stuck forever.
