Drive App on N9

The N9 Navigation is very limited.
I did find the following limitations;
1. There is no Favourite Tab/option
2. There is no Save location option.
3. There is no Fastest/Smallest Route option.
4. Once you select a destination, the Navigation Mode keeps on taking you to the same route which it initially selects, even if you on online mode. It wont show you the alternate route..
THIS IS WHAT i HAVE FOUND TILL NOW. IS THERE ANY OPTION OR SUGGESTIONS OR HIDDEN MENU SOMEWHERE.

WHILE IN DRIVE:
1.  there is no favorite, but it does remember all the addresses you searched.
while drive is open- menu/set destination/last destinations
2.  this is the same as 1.   while in drive.
3.  YES,  this is true.  although, that option has never been correct and given me bad information since the e90 anyway...so i never used/trusted it.
4.  not sure why it is not recalculating route.  i have tried this just last night and it recacluated.  i do not remember it doing that on pr1.0, but it is working on pr1.1
WHILE IN MAPS
1.  if you search an address and tap the blue bubble, the address appears, then tap the (star) to favorite the location in the bottom of the screen.  after that, if you tap-menu/favourites you should now see the favorite there.
2.  this is the same as 1.
3.  again, it is not here either.
4.  this  isnt really an option in the maps, only the Drive application.
hope that helps.

  • How do I install Adobe Acrobat as a Google Drive App?

    Does Anyone Use Google Drive?
I started using Google Drive when I bought my Acer Chromebook last year... why?  I wanted thought a free 100GB Google Drive account sounded nice for just trying a Chromebook.  Ok... I can do a lot with my Google Drive, but why can't I edit PDF's?
Someone else out there has probably run into the same problem as me...
Google Docs doesn't seem to do what I need.  It allows me to import and convert my PDFs into docx format.  Why can't I just edit my PDFs and save in pdf format?
Can Someone Tell me How to Install Acrobat as a Google Drive App?

  • Where is the iCloud Drive app icon (folder) in iOS 8? Like the one the show on their website.

I am running Yosemite on my Macs and updated to ios8 on all of my iPads and iPhone. Yet, I have found no way to access my iCloud Drive folder on the mobile devices. The Apple website for iCloud clearly shows iOS devices viewing an iCloud drive folder with end user customized sub-folders. I called tech support and they agreed that that's what the website was showing but informed me that as iCloud Drive and ios8 are so new they did not know yet how to set them up. I arrange my files by project not program and I need to view PDFs and other non iWork's files. Does anyone out there have a clue? Thank you.

I'm not using it, but my understanding is that you can only access iCloud Drive documents on an iOS device from within an app that is iCloud Drive compatible.  At least at the present time, there isn't an iCloud Drive app for an iOS device that provides general access to documents.  See http://www.imore.com/icloud-drive-clearing-up-confusion.

  • Is there an iCloud Drive app for the iPhone?

Is there an iCloud Drive app for the iPhone?  I have a 5c that's running 8.0.2.
I was able to install iCloud Drive on my pc.  I placed some files out there and would like to view them on my iPhone but I can't seem to find the iCloud Drive app in the app store.
There appears to be an iCloud Drive app according to the pictures here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/icloud-drive/.
Is the app not available yet?

I've had an android phone since they first came out.  Verizon took forever to get the iphone and by the time they did, I was so used to having a phone with a big screen and was already on a 4g device and I didn't want to take a step back to 3g and a smaller screen so I never gave apple a try.  I recently sold my android phone in preparation for the next android phone release and I broke my temporary phone trying to it's replace it's cracked glass (something that's much easier to do on an iphone btw) so I had to find another temp phone.  With the release of the iphone 6/6+ and everyone going so crazy about it, I decided to borrow a friend's old 5c for a month to see what all the hype was about when it comes to iphones while I wait for my android phone to come in.  So far I can honestly say aside from a few things here and there, I haven't really felt like there's much of a difference to warrant the flame wars that I see on android vs apple.  Some things work better on iOS for sure but there are some things I'm used to doing on android that I can't do on iOS. I really like it's overall simplistic feeling.  The people on the far left and far right in terms of apple over android or android over apple and their arguments are pretty comical to me now that I've had some exposure to both.
Anyway in terms of the iCloud drive, from everything I've read it looks like it'll be identical to Google Drive which I've been using for years but without an app, it's definitely confusing on how I get to my documents and photos that I've stored on my iCloud Drive.  With android, before the app I could go to the desktop site for google drive and access my documents.  When I try to go to icloud drive from safari on my phone, it automatically takes me to "set up icloud tutorial" even though it's already set up on my phone.  I'm happy to find that I'm not the only one that's confused by apple's description of the implementation and what's actually implemented.
I still have a few weeks before I get my android, but I'd be lying if said I haven't considered cancelling my preorder of the note 4 and grabbing a 6+ to give an iphone more than a months trial.  I mean in the end, people buy iphone's like candy so it's not like I'd be stuck if I end up ultimately not liking it.
Thanks for your responses, hopefully they implement it's full functionality while I still have time to decide one way or another.

  • TS1702 There is nowhere to type in the text n' drive app.

Cannot type a text or say a text in the text n' drive app?
    Do not like the app.

So give it a poor rating in the iTunes store. What do you expect us to do about it? We're all just users. You are not talking to Apple.

  • N8 and Drive App Problems

    So heres my problem
    Downloaded maps - Great!
Created Route and added to favorite - Great
    Sync and transfer - Great
Set up to Drive Offline - Great
Get in car select drive app and route, wait a couple of minites for it to settle down and then it all starts to go wrong.
Instantly trys to send me the wrong way out of my road and carries on like this for a few miles until finally picks up the route. Okay you say! Not on your life. On motorways trys to take me off and on slip roads, A roads sends me in circles?
Luckily only tried it on routes I know , and yes the route is the same as saved to favorites, wouldn't trust it to get me to somewhere I didn't know.
So why is it doing this? Surely the whole point of putting a route in YOU want to follow is just that!!!!!!!

    @discobandit
Not clear whether you are trying to use N8 without Assisted GPS being able to access data connection or not here. Whilst GPS antenna size/position compromise is not brilliant upon N8, there can be like with any GPS device problems using within vehicles with Athermic, or UV Coated windscreens.

  • MotionX Drive App

My iPhone App Store won't recognize my "MotionX Drive" app as the most current version...recurrently tells me to update...in the Update screen, however, the app is updated/purchased and the "Open" button is visible...anyone else seen this problem, and, know a fix?

Were you able to find XLCamera on your device or devices? If so, did you delete it from just the device or from your iTunes? If you only deleted from your device, try deleting it from your iTunes library as well and then sync your device.
Also, I see that you posted that you marked that my last comment fixed your issue, but your last reply mentions that you still get the update in your app store. I am a bit confused if it worked or not, but if you could clear that up for me that would be great.

  • ICloud Drive Apps Freeze

Since I have installed iOS 8 on my iPhone and activated iCloud drive, apps that use iCloud freeze immediately upon opening the app.  This includes Pages, Numbers, and other Apple apps and 3rd party apps such as Notability and Scanner Pro. Since all of these apps used iCloud drive, I'm assuming that this is the issue.

Bump.  I see this using Scannable.  Same crash in Scanner Pro and Documents.  Even if only one is running, it still happens.  Reboot, kill apps, nothing helps.

  • Drive app

I have a Droid Maxx with Kit Kat 4.4 OS. It comes with a app called Drive for storage to save pictures etc.it offers 50GB of storage for free for 2 years.I cannot move pictures from Gallery on the phone. To a folder on Drive that it ask you to create. Does anyone know how this is done? I want to move 10 pictures from Gallery to the new folder in Drive. Or recommend another storage app or program. I have pretty much lost patients with Drive.

  • C6-01 - gps drive app kicks me out after a few sec...

    Hi,
I got this phone about 2 weeks ago and updated it to the latest of everything via Ovi.  A few days ago I used the GPS for the first time and the maps themselves and map location apps work fine but when I click on Drive, it may or may not start to say where to go and then it kicks me back to the main menu.  I was on maps v 3.06, figured there was an issue so I updated to v 3.07, same thing.  Any ideas?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

If you would like to go back to 3.06 version, you will first need to un-install these applications from the Application Manager then re-install 3.06.
First, un-install these from the Application Manager:
    Check In
    Check In Agent
    Check In Data
    Check In Widget
    Create a Place
    Drive
    Map and Navigation
    Maps Settings Plugin
    ODML Commons Repository
    Ovi Maps
    OviMapsEngine
    Ovi Maps Installer
    Ovi Maps ODML
(Helpful Hint: Unistallation process is faster if you uninstall “Ovi Maps” and “Ovi Maps ODML” first.)
Next, re-install 3.06 from Ovi Store.

  • Installing OS/user folder on one drive, apps on another

I have two Velociraptor drive that are RAID striped as my startup disk. It's caused some some problems. (like Boot Camp won't work on RAIDs, Each drive shows up separately when Option key booting, etc)
So I'm thinking of splitting them up into two normal drives. But at 300GB each, they aren't big enough to store all my big apps, the OS and my huge user folder.
I heard there's some problems keeping/linking your user folder to a non-startup drive.
But is it possible to install apps on a non-startup drive? Do they all expect to be on the startup drive? Do I need to remap the HD/Applications folder? Many apps (esp. Adobe's) install lots of files in HD/Library/Application Support. Is that going to confuse things?
    Love to hear some tips/warnings/suggestions.

There are basically two kinds of program installation methods for the Mac - those that are dragged and those that use an installer. Any program that is installed by dragging can safely be placed on a secondary drive. Those that use an installer are a bit more iffy. Some installers let you specify the installation location and these too can safely be placed on a secondary drive.
Those that automatically install in the Application folder of the boot drive - I'd hesitate to move them. The problem isn't that they won't run properly; what I'm concerned about is updates. If a programmer/vender expects the program to be placed in the boot drive Applications folder then its updater will probably expect it to be there too and the update will fail. To reduce confusion I'd keep these programs on the drive where they were installed and make an alias of them to the secondary drive.

  • Access my Mac's hard drive app

I am looking for an iPhone app that works in a similar way to Apple's iDisk iPhone app but instead of connecting to my iDisk it connects to my Mac's hard drive.
I don't need any remote desktop stuff.
    Any suggestions?

Use something such as OmniDiskSweeper (my favorite) or Grand Perspective to find out where large files may be. iCloud isn't going to help much if you've so much data that it won't fit on a 1TB drive. Sounds as if it's time to either buy another drive or at least an external with more space.
