Drive E doesn't work

We have tried to get our drive E to work but no matter what I or my daughter does to fix it we can't get the drive to see there is a disc in the drive HELP!!!!

It should ask you to download a small program. New try the following direct link to download file:

You then have to run the downloaded file.

Could be systems logs or some other system file growing.
Use OmniDiskSweeper or DaisyDisk to map what's being used.

Terminal Services - drive redirection doesn't work.

I have got two Terminal servers on Windows 2012 DataCenter(T1 and T2) + AD on Windows 2012 DataCenter.
My problem is, that on a terminal T2 drive redirection doesn't work(also printers and clipboard).
I tried the following things:
- GPO on AD (Computer Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Terminal Services\Terminal Server\Device and Resource Redirection\Do not allow drive redirection=DISABLE).
- local GPO on terminal T2 (Computer Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Terminal Services\Terminal Server\Device and Resource Redirection\Do not allow drive redirection=DISABLE).
- FW is disabled on both terminals.
- Terminal configuration allows to redirect drives and printers.
- I tried to login with domain account and local account, on both account redirection doesn't work.
- System Logs seem to be alright.
- Of course on the client side I mark redirect local drives.
Both terminals are the same, both are VM(T2 is a clone of T1).
Please help...

Thank you for posting in windows Server Forum.
Have you check the firewall rules? Please check that ports/ firewall is not blocking the drive to get redirected. For firewall try to disable the firewall and check. You can use below command on the client.
netsh firewall set opmode mode=disable
This will eliminate the firewall altogether; assuming you are using Windows firewall. Otherwise, disable any other firewall / blocking software and see how it reacts without firewall. Additionally, go back into RDP and manually "set" those options
to allows Disk Drive Mapping and Printer pass-through.

Nokia Drive + beta "Drive to" doesn't work on Lumi...

Seems like Nokia Drive + beta doesn't work on my Lumia 920. I'm currently in Macedonia and trying to get directions from one location in Skopje to another always gives me the message: "Sorry , can't find your route. Navigation is not yet available in your country. Please go back."
I have the Macedonia map downloaded, and I have checked the list of supported countries, where Macedonia does appear. Nokia Maps seems to have no problem finding a route between the same two locations, but Nokia Drive + beta keeps giving me that message.

I wonder if we can get someone in tech support at Nokia to read this. I've tried contacting their support chat but we didn't get far (or anywhere for that matter). I'd like to know whether this issue is known or not, and whether a fix is planned. If it's an isolated case, what can I do to make it right? I'm willing to work with someone in order to get this resolved.

.jar includes jdbc driver but doesn't work

I'm quite new with Java. I've just created my first app in java, it's some kind of CMS. I have to give to my friend who can only install JVM and I can't set up his computer, because he lives in other city. What's the problem then:
I tried to compile (build) complete file with jdbc driver. And actually I've done it (when I open jar with winrar I see that mysql-connector.jar is there) but it's not working. I still have error:
SQLException: com.mysql.jdbc.Driver
No suitable driver

It works fine when I'm running it with NetBeans, but built jar doesn't work at all.
Please help me with this problem. I was searching in many forums for the same problem, but no one had it (I mean EXACTLY the same). I have had many problems already with adding connector to NetBeans project at the beginning, but finally I've done it after 2 days - reinstallation of NB solved the problem. Is it possible that's NB fault again?

Keyboard Driver Filter doesn't work in 6.0.2

We're aware that the NI Keyboard Driver Filter may cause the computer to hang in the middle of shutdown (Windows XP) if a USB keyboard is used, so we substituted a PS-2 keyboard. This worked fine.
Then, when we updated Lookout 6.0.1 to 6.0.2, making sure that the Keyboard Driver Filter was installed, we found that the Keyboard Driver Filter did not work. It was still possible for a user with a lower priority to reach the Task Manager by pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del.
We need to protect Lookout from being accidentally closed by users "playing" with the keyboard.
How do we get this function back?

I got something from R&D. The keyboard filter in Lookout 6.0.2 has some bugs, which cause it not to work and also some other unexpected problems. That means the filter in 6.0.2 doesn't work at all.
You'd better uninstall the whole Lookout 6.0.2 and then install it again without keyboard filter. After that, you need to install the keyboard filter shipped with DSC 8.0.1, which has fixed those bugs. See the attachment.

My hplaserjet 3200 printer won't work. Driver disk doesn't work also. help.

I had viruses on my computer, so I cleaned it out and reloaded windows xp3. But now it's not recognizing my printer, hplaserjet 3200. The driver disk will not work also. I tried downloading it online. I'm getting zip files. Once i unzip it, it's giving me an error message. Help.

New cd drive : itunes doesn't work with it now

I bought an external drive but when I use it in itunes to either play a cd or import a cd, it doesn't play or import them but skips through them then does nothing. Is there a setting I need to change to fix this? the cds work fine in windows media player.

Yeah, you have to do something to let iTunes know the new drive is there. I don't know what, though!
However there are hardware whizzes over on Importing & Burning discussion who will know this backwards and forwards!

Iso to usb drive tool doesn't work

Latest Boot Camp Driver Update doesn't work correctly, how do I roll back?

Hey guys. I am running Windows XP and I just recently updated my Bootcamp drivers through Apple Software Update. Ever since then, the Mac keyboard functions keys (brightness, volume, eject, etc) will not work and the audio drivers are messed up (all audio crackles, just like it did before the boot camp drivers were installed in the first place). Thanks!

In Windows go to the control panel/system/device manager & select each of the affected devices (one at a time) and use the 'rollback to previous driver' option.

Graphic card driver update doesn't work for Windows 8.1 upgrade (Ideapad Y500)

I upgraded my windows 8 to Windows 8.1 today and it probably is a huge mistake. After the upgrade my Ideapad Y500 started to look weird (Firefox stopped working). I searched around for solution and was told that I probably need to upgrade the driver to my graphic card. So I went to the driver download page and downloaded the NVIDIA GeForce GT750M Second VGA BIOS Update for Windows 8.1
I followed the instruction to run the "Winflash_Yx00s.bat" file, but after I seleted "yes" to let it modify the system, there is a very fast flashing a little black window (too fast for me to see what it is), and nothing happens afterwards. I checked to make sure that nothing is running in the background. After waited for half an hour I tried to restart the computer and still nothing happens. The display still looks weird.
Please help me!

so I went into skype both metro and desktop skype and to my horror like you I did not have the option only my logitech webcam was an option
I went into devices and see that ht had FaceTimeHD camera (Built-in) as malfunctioning not working devices there
I went to my bootcamp driver zip and ran the apple AppleCamera64.exe
but little did it help then I googled it

did the uninstall of both of the unknown devices as suggested and ran a scan for new hardware and bam!
the camera was back in action
suppose looking like a gobling shark made it so I never noticed that win8.1 had broken my facetime cam before you brought it up

Update doesn't work; driver installation doesn't work

I'm using Windows 7 on a T500, and I have encountered some strange problems, which seem sort of related:
1. Windows update installation ends with error code 80070670 Windows Update_dt000
2. My Bluetooth mouse (Logitech V470) required driver installation, but the process ended in failure;
3. I tried to use Lenovo System Update, but the process took much longer than usual, and didn't finish
My internet works normally. I scanned the computer for viruses, and there were none. I tried an earlier system restore point, and it didn't make a difference. Does anybody have a suggestion what could be wrong?

Thumb drive install doesn't work

Running OS 10.6.8 on my Mac mini (Intel Core 2 duo.) I just tried to install Lion with the thumb drive. When I get to the point where it ask which drive I want to install it on, all of the drives, including the internal HD which is the one I want to use) are greyed out and can't be selected. Ideas? External Combo Drive doesn't work after installing Snow Leopard

This Mini was bought used with a defective combo drive. I purchased a "No-Brand" external Combo Drive (USB connected and powered) off eBay. Everything worked fine under Leopard. I used the external drive to install Snow leopard but could not eject the DVD at the completion of the installation process. I manually ejected the DVD and discovered the external drive now doesn't work with either DVD's or CD"s.
Any ideas what the problem is?

G510 Windows 7 WLAN driver doesn't work

My G510 came with Windows 8.1 pre-installed. I didn't want that, so I installed Windows 7 instead. After that, I downloaded this driver (WLAN Driver (Atheros, Broadcom, Realtek) for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit) - Lenovo G410, G510) using a different computer. I copied the driver to a USB thumb drive. Then I installed the driver on the G510.
The driver installed without any errors. However, I still can't enable the wireless adapter. Device manager shows missing drivers for several components (as expected) under "Other devices" but I am not sure which one is the wireless adapter:
BCM43142A0 (I believe this is the bluetooth adapter)
Ethernet Controller
Network Controller
PCI Simple Communications Controller
SM Bus Controller
Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller
Unknown device
USB2.0-CRW
Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network Connections shows no network adapters at all, but Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features shows Lenovo_Wireless_Driver is installed.
When the installer runs, it copies the files from the "C:\drivers\WLAN Driver (Atheros, Broadcom, Realtek)\Broadcom\6.30.233.75\Driver\Win8" directory to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Lenovo\Lenovo_Wireless_Driver\Win8" directory. I believe the problem may be that this is in fact a driver for Windows 8 and not for Windows 7 as indicated.
I thought at first I may have just downloaded the wrong driver (I was careful to select the right one), but after downloading it again, I confirmed that I have the correct installer with the file name wlan125w7u1.exe.
I've tried re-installing the driver several times as an administrator, rebooting before and after each install. I've also tried Fn+F5 and Fn+F7, which does nothing.
Edit: I almost forgot the best part. I called Lenovo technical support last night, who told me I must contact premium technical support in the morning (they were closed at the time). But premium technical support refuses to help me with this problem unless I am willing to pay $59, or $170 for a one-year support subscription, as they consider it a software support issue.
