Drive Mode no longer works on my LifeDrive

Ever since upgrading to 10.4.9, Drive Mode no longer works on my iMac. Syncing continues to work fine. Lots of other people on the Palm forums are having the same problem since upgrading to 10.4.9. Did something change in the way the OS handles mountable drives that could be causing this problem?

I have same problem with Palm T5 and MacBook since 10.4.9
When I turn Drive Mode On, the Palm hangs after 5 seconds.
On the /var/log/system.log on mac :

Your Seagate update CD is to update the firmware for Seagate hard drives.
Did you try the tips in the post that I referenced above?
Error 31 indicates that the driver is not installing correctly.
Go to Device Manager, locate the CD/DVD drive, open up the CD/DVD drive, double click, click on the Driver tab, then uninstall the driver. Now reboot your PC and Windows will re-install the driver.

ABAP Web Dynpro Application changes in Administation Mode no longer working

Hi Gurus,
To apply customizing to a standard SAP Web Dynpro application we used to simply run the application in administration mode. After we changed a parameter to allow for theme application this adminstration mode no longer works. Right-Click simply acts as if you are running the application normally. We have tried to remove our parameter but this had no effect.
How can we "fix" this error without creating a new custom configuration which will cause the URL to change?

to open in adminstrative mode do as follows:
In se80 ,i.e in the menu bar:
Web Dynpro Application->Test->Test in Administation mode.

I started on the installation CD OS X 10.4.2, I used Disk Utility
to partition the disk according to the document that you have proposed. unfortunately
I have not succeeded. When I partition the disk, even if I called it Macintosh HD, it
does not keep the name and it shows disk0s3 instead. I did an erase on disk.
When I mount the disk it tells me that I must repair. When I tried to repair, I got
the following message:
Volume check failed
The underflying task reported failure on exit
1 HFS volume checked
1 volume could not be repaired because of an error.
I also had a message:
Invalid b-tree node size.
Note: The disc is new, but it has already been formatted on a computer Imac 27 inch 2011 OS X Lion.
I used a USB 2.0 to SATA cable to adjust the formatting.
What to do to fix it?

After upgrading from Win 8 to 8.1 my DVD RAM GT80N SATA Drive is no longer working

After upgrading from Win 8 to 8.1 my DVD RAM GT80N SATA Drive is no longer recognizing discs. When I first put a disc in the drive runs for a bit and then stops. I've tried updating the driver but it says it has the most current driver. Under manage, it does not show any error codes and it says it is working correctly. I've looked at the regedit and it does not have any of upper and lower filters. I've tried disabling, rebooting, and reenabling. What am I missing? Another issue I've had since upgrading is that my network adapter needs reset several times a day in order to remain connected to wifi.

If your CD/DVD Drive Is Not Detected (Windows 8), follow the steps in this document.

Quick mask mode no longer works for Photoshop CC

I have the latest version of Photoshop CC, and the quick-mask-mode no longer functions as it should. When I try to modify an existing mask with the quick-mask-mode the highlighted read only appears on some of the photo being edited. In additions, those highlighted that do appear red only do so very slowly. This problem appeared after a recent update to Photoshop CC.
I have been using this quick-mask-mode for the last 10 years and have never seen this bug before.
I know how to check the options and my opacity is at 50%.
I use quick-mask-mode frequently and I need it to work.
Is there a setting I need to change?
It is hard to believe that I am the only one with this problem.

And the red just along his tricep I had to draw "blind" because it wouldn't populate the brush stroke to cover his arm until after I moved my mouse to the side of the screen. Any changes or movement on the screen is slower than molasses.

Undo close tab in Private Browser mode no longer works!?

I'm using the Aurora build. The restore closed tab shortcut Ctrl-Shift-T no longer works in private browsing mode! This is very annoying since I cannot reopen accidentally closed tabs.

I believe this problem started after they implemented private browsing in a new window instead of closing the existing window.

Landscape mode no longer working in Mail app.

When I'm using the mail app, and turn the Iphone on it's side, it no longer goes into landscape mode. Other than that, the mail app is still working as it should, and landscape mode is still functional in other apps such as messaging.
I'm at a loss. I really want to use the larger keyboard when emailing. Anyone have any suggestions?

Try resetting your iPhone by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

External Hard Drive is no longer working

Hello. I have had a external hard drive for about 4 months now and it had been working fine. I have my iPhoto library on it along with all things related to my films that i make. After seeing some problems with iPhoto i upgraded to Aperture. I had to rebuild the library because something was wrong with it but after i did that, it loaded in Aperture fine and i was able to use it. I then verified and repaired my external disk, in the sake on making sure everything was okay. i then turned my computer off and went to bed. The next day when i tried to open the library, i couldn't open becuase the library was "locked." after i while, i realized that the entire disk had become "read only." after trying to fix it for the past couple of days by looking into forums and using terminal and exerything, nothing has worked. Now, the disk cannot verify on repair at all, and i still can't change it at all. This disk is very important, and I don't use Time Machine or have a backup. I was going to set it up, but that was the day that i found that is was locked. I would love some help so please try and help me find the problem so we can fix it thank you!
PS i have noticed the disk is a NTFS, but it has been that since i started using it. and it is a Seagate Free Agent Go Flex Drive 1.5tb.

Hi,
Apple doesn't supply a read/write driver for NTFS with any of its operating systems. Are you using a third-party NTFS driver, such as the one supplied by Paragon? If so, that's likely the source of the problem. If not, then something strange is going on, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it…

Surface Pro Driver injection no longer working under MDT 2013

Since upgrading to MDT 2013 we are experiencing an issue with deploying Windows 8.1 to our Surface Pros. The deployment seems to be ignoring driver group settings in CS.ini and it basically injects no drivers. We are following the guide Microsoft posed here:

So I'm confused as to where we are going wrong. Here is the section in question from CS.ini:

I'd recommend you go that way as well as you'll most likely have fewer issues. Depending on your situation you may also want to make use of the "ModelAliasExit" script and use Make variables or you can just follow the method above exactly as is.

High Resolution Mode no longer works with new vers...

For years I used Skype in high res mode (1280X720) with auto answer to look at the veiw from may vacation house window. This worked great. The picture quality was terrific and the connection was always stable. However, after I upgraded the Skype version on my home windows 8 PC in May, I could only connect at 640X480. I thought the issue was that the mac mini in my vacation house ran a very old version of Skype (on the tiger OS), so I put in a new 2.5GHz core duo processor and upgraded to snow leopard and the latest version of Skype. But this did not help. The only way I could get Hi-Res back was to install old versions of Skype on all my computers. It seems dumb that I have to run old versions of the software, I would really like to run current the versions. Couldn't you add a feature that allows users to overide the system choices and pick the resolution?

After updating ram and to SSD hard drive bluetooth no longer works

Updated my two sets of hynix 2GB ram to two sets of Crucial 4GB ram (8GB total), and then also installed a Samsung 1TB SSD hard drive.
Now my Bluetooth does not recognize any devices at all.
I'm using a Mid-2010 Macbook Pro 17" 2.53 ghtz on the most recent version of Mavericks.
(In order to update to the SSD drive, I inserted the blank drive, formatted it using my install discs, then did an internet OS install of Mavericks, and used Migration Assistant to import all my old data. Everything else is working perfectly fine.)

I do not know what happened, but try resetting the SMC (might help, cannot hurt).

Continuous mode no longer works in recent update

I'd like to tell you the version but there is no About in the newest Reader. When reading in continuous mode the first or second page is ok but then the pages get unreadable. It looks like a posting capture picture. Unreadable. Please fix as Reader is nearly unusable now.

What is the Android OS version?
Do you see the same problem in the Single Page mode?
Does the same problem occur with all of the PDF documents that you have or just particular ones?
How long does it usually take for pages to become unreadable? As soon as you open it? When you start scrolling? Or does it take a couple of minutes?
When you wait for a couple of seconds, will the unreadable pages become readable again?
Would you send your PDF document (that exhibits the problem) to [email protected] as an email attachment? Please add the link to this forum page to your email for reference.

Target Disk Mode no longer working

I've never had any problems connecting my PB G4 to my desktop G4 in target disk mode until today. The PB simply starts up in the Mac OS and doesn't appear on the host computer.
I haven't changed anything. I checked the firewire cable on another device and it's fine. Only thing that's happened since I last connected was I travelled with the PB and played lots of DVDs on my trip. Can't imagine that would have done anything...but even after repairing permissions on both PB and host computer--it's still not working!
Any ideas? Can the firewire port on the PB be damaged somehow? Many thanks for any suggestions.

Resetting the PMU might light the firewire port back up.
