Driver and software not found. Please help
Hello,
I recently updates my iTunes too the latest version now my disc burner isnt working. I get an error saying disc burner and software not found. I tried to run diagnostics and have scoured the internet and forms for answer. I have read this and it says i am not an administrator but on my computer i checked and i am. Unless i am doing it wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am at the most current version of itunes, but when i try to burn a cd i get an error stating disc burner or software not found - any help?
Could you post your diagnostics for us please?
In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:
... and click "Next".
When you get through to the final screen:
... click the "Copy to Clipboard" button and paste the diagnostics into a reply here. -
I backed up my Iphone to itunes so i can do the new Update to IOs 7 and so now that i updated it i want to backup and restore and its not working, Please help!
An iPhone backup to a computer via iTunes stores the photos in a backup file that is only meant to be be used if needed to restore back to the phone. There is 3rd party "extractor" software available but otherwise the photos are not directly viewable.
The backup via iTunes was a good idea and your Camera Roll photos should be there and should be able to be restored to your new phone. However if it was me I wouldn't rely on that alone. I would also import the photos to a computer where you can see and verify that you have a copy. That is a good idea at any time (not just when you know you might need it). Any phone can be lost, broken, suffer hardware issues, etc at any time and lose all data on it. I am having the same problem - "Disc burner or software not found" and I can't create a new CD from iTunes "burn playlist to disc". I see many others asking the same question and I don't see answers. I have spent all day uninstalling and reloading iTunes, testing, etc. Even iTunes support said they couldn't help me.
I have Windows 7, and I can't really use iTunes without having the CD burner working. I have wasted hours and will gladly pay for help, but iTunes support said "no". -
I can't sync the songs from my computer to my ipod touch. I have gone through the directions on the iPond help page and have not found them helpful. For example, I can't find the autofill button. Can you help?
I have already tried following those steps. I went back and tried to follow them again but they did not work. Some of my songs have synced, some have not. And I am still not seeing the Autofill icon on the bottom of the menu or anywhere else. I fear something has been corrupted here and I need to start afresh.

Have you tried to restart the Mac?
Another program may be blocking the drive.

All the people in Saudi Arabia they had been waiting for BB10 since a long time, also me I have been waiting for it since TORCH-9800, and we had been so happy when blackberry company announced for BB10
BUT.....
The bad things we found in BBM and made a lot of people didn't buy BB10 and I am one of them, that in BBM when we need to send a broadcast to contacts, we have to select each one, we can't select all of them in one checkbox, and this is not good at all,, for me I won't get BB10 because my contacts in BBM over 200, and a lot of people they had the same thing as me.
So,,, to blackberry company please listen to your fans in Saudi Arabia and fix this problems with one small software update. PLEASE we looking for it AND YOUR SUPPORT.
A lot of people will buy BB10 just if blackberry fix this.Personally I'm glad Broadcast BBM messages has been made more difficult to send... but, to each their own.

Dv9000 laptop dvd drive and webcam not found. drive initializes on boot but does not show up.
The DVD/CD-Rom drive will initialize and will read a CD when inserted but it does not show up in the BIOS or in Windows. It's a Lighscribe drive. The webcam was not found either. I recently reloaded this machine for a friend back to the factory setup. Installed all additional software and everything is working but the drive and the camera. Is there any way to actually test these devices for failure? Or is there a patch or a software package I may be missing? It's a dv9000 but it has dv9007 on the bottom. And an AMD processor. If anybody has any ideas I would greatly appreciate the help.

It does not show up in either one. The camera or the DVD drive. No X's or error Triangles. I guess they could have gone bad at the same time but that's not likely. It would be one heck of a coiencidence. I am wondering if there is an alternate chipset driver or patch. Maybe a controller driver? The system has dv9000 on the display and dv9700 on the model # tag. I believe 1 is Inter and the other NVidia. But the Factory image installed the NVidia drivers. -
Moved my files to external hard drive, now files not found. Help?
My Itunes folder having outgrown my memory, I moved all the files to my external hard drive, following the directions in Itunes. I was able to play the songs as long as the hard drive was connected. However, I opened Itunes mistakenly without the E: Drive connected, and it opened blank, with no files in place. I closed, hooked up the hard drive, and opened Itunes again, holding down the shift key and choosing the library on E: (the xmp file). The files now show up, but when I try to play them, I get a message indicating that the file isn't found, do I want to find it? I can, but I don't want to go through 5000 files and add each one individually. If I try adding or importing the folder again, the file is simply in itunes twice. I can always import everything again, but I don't want to lose all my ratings, last-played, etc. It took a lot of time to listen to and rate all those songs. Any help would certainly be appreciated. I am having the same problem. I moved my itunes library to an external drive to free up the space on my notebook and now I "get files not found do you want to search" If I search I can find the song in Windows but have to find each song individually, I have 2600 songs I burned from my CD collection, it would take way too long. I have tried copying the file to the same drive, I have reintalled itunes multiple times. I have checked Apple and my computer is "authorized". Is there any way out of this? Otherwise I will be limited to just having the music I already have on my ipod and being unable to add any more, and if that ever bocomes compromised I would be unable to restore it. None of my music is purchased from itunes, it is all burned from my CD's.

Let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you? If so, does iTunes launch properly now?

1.Did this error occur on a single update or multiple updates? please also post the update name in issue.
2.Please also post the steps you have followed to fix this issue.
In addition, please try to use the general steps to troubleshoot the windows update issue, and refer to the steps below:
The following outlines how to stop services pertaining to Windows Update, rename system folders, register related DLL files, and then restart the previously mentioned services. This troubleshooting generally applies to all Windows Update related issues.
Stopping services pertaining to Windows Update
1. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and select Run as Administrator.
2. If you receive a notification from User Account Control simply click Continue.
3. At the command prompt, type the following, commands and then press ENTER after each command.
net stop wuauserv
net stop bits
net stop cryptsvc
Please do not close the Command Prompt window.
Renaming folders pertaining to Windows Update
1. At the command prompt, type the following commands, and then press Enter after each command:

Original files not found, please help.
I am running iTunes 8.0.1.11, and I have about 11.5 gigs or so of music. Today I fired up iTunes and started skimming through songs like I often do, only to start playing a song and have the "original file not found" message pop up. I took a deeper look, and the majority of my 3200 songs show this message. There is no common factor between these songs, some are from the iTunes Store, some are from CD's, and some are from various mp3 services. In some cases, a few of the songs from a CD are missing, while others are present. Under "iTunes Music" in "My Music", the music folders (ie "Linkin Park") are present, but it appears that all the music has been deleted from in them.
I am a little miffed at this, because I had quite a few rare albums and EPs in my collection, and none of them were backed up.
Is there any way to get them back? Perhaps the file paths were changed? I hope that the music is still on the HD somewhere, and that I don't have to hunt down all these albums again. Any help would be great.Sadly, I've been looking around for around an hour for an answer to this problem, yet to just waste time.
I have the same problem and can't find an obvious way to fix it. Nothing works without asking me to locate the file in my music folders. On my iPhone I have roughly 35-40 artists listed, on iTunes I have 9 that are listed in the music folder, only about 15 of my 349 songs work. Sadly, I can't update my iPhone until this is fixed, thank goodness for the wall charger! I've noticed that it made the songs that were "Un-checked" go missing and the "Checked" songs are perfectly fine!
This problem has been around for ages, this happened to me like a year ago on a different version of iTunes. Yet, I haven't seen APPLE mention anything about it, at least acknowledge it! If I find an answer I won't waste anytime and will post it immediately, but as for now APPLE <insert phrase>(I'm going to use the phrase 'is lazy')!

Also I would like to add that it seems like my songs have disappeared from my HDD, amazingly! That or they have been moved somewhere else. I originally had the songs on my old dell, copied the songs to my new HDD for my new PC. Then that HDD went bad, so I moved it to my other HDD, so I have back-ups.
