How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
If the drivers are not listed then the OS is not supported. This would mean it has not been tested on your model and the outcome is unknown. That is not to say it will not work only that it is unknown.

Sure it is not even very difficult. Do you just need a BR reader or a burner/reader? The replacement disk drive will be $80-120 or so, maybe a bit less. You can find them on eBay. You can use a generic one but that may require some reworking of the faceplate or just get an original dv6-6000 BR drive on eBay. Swaps out with a couple screws on the bottom; slide out and slide in the replacement. You will need new software to play BR movies, of course.

Hard drive is failing on my Pavilion dv5t-1000. Do I have to use an hp replacement hard disk because of a partition that hp adds to their hard disks for recovery? Can I use my HP Recovery Disks and recovery backups on a store-bought hard drive? No longer under warranty.

Hi:
You should be able to do that with no problem.
Just make sure the disk drive you purchase is the same specification (SATA II, 2.5") and size in GB (or larger size) then the original one.

Need to update my Intel HD Graphic driver.
Tried HP and Intel and both are stating that the driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer manufacture. Set up will exit.

Audio driver for HP Pavilion dv2700

I have installed Win XP in my Pavilion dv2700 which came with Vista 64 bit. But I could not manage to get the proper driver for audio device on High Definition Audio Bus (tried some dv 2000 drivers from HP website). Could anybody help me to find a proper driver? Thanks/

From Device Manager,right click "Audio Device on High Def Bus",choose Update driver,
No to connect,
Install from a list or specific location,
Select Don't Search, I will choose the driver to install,
For the Hardware Type select 'Show All Devices'
Remove the check from "Show Compatible Hardware" and click on "Have Disk".
Next...browse to the unzipped folder and choose the "WiSVHe5.inf".
Ignore XP when it complains.
Reboot.

2nd HDD caddy replacing optical drive for HP Pavilion 15-e073ca Notebook PC & Windows 10

Hello ! I am planning to add a SSD to my two-years-old HP Pavilion 15-e073ca Notebook PC. I found on some sites that I can remove the optical drive and put a second drive using a caddy adapter into the optical drive bay. I found that some people on the forum have done it successfully, but nothing about my PC model. I want to know if it could work with my product. In other words, there is my plan:1-Remove the actual HDD from the hard drive bay and replace it with the new SSD.2-Remove the optical drive and replace it with the caddy adapter containing my old HDD.3-Do a clean install of Windows 10 on the SSD, using a USB recovery flash drive made with my actual Windows 10 system (which was updated from Windows 8.1). I am planning to buy the following parts:1- a HDD / SSD caddy adapter for HP Pavilion 15 (model OBHD9-SATA-SATA-BU9), from NewmodeUS (http://www.newmodeus.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_5&products_id=583)2- a 128 GB SSD drive (item SDSSDHP-128G), from SanDisk (http://www.sandisk.com/products/ssd/sata/ultra-plus/?capacity=128gb) I have some questions before buying the parts:1- Will the two drives (my old HDD and the new SSD) be recognized by the motherboard / BIOS and the operating system (Windows 10)? What hard drive enclosure to purchase for HP Pavilion dv6000?

I am trying to find a hard drive case/enclosure for my 2005 HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop. I want to retrieve all of the data from my hard drive because I can no longer charge the laptop. I have tried two different types of hard drive enclosure, but neither worked. Can you tell me the proper model to order?

One of them will work.
You need to remove the hard drive connector interface that connects the hard drive to the motherboard.
This thing pulls off the drive. You should be using a SATA to usb notebook hard drive enclosure.
