HeHe,?Cl is rather hilarious, if you go to download drivers and select vista 32 bit for soundblaster X-fi Fatality, the drivers that were released on the 8th are no longer available for download, they have been removed from the webpage.....Hmmmmm? wonder why that is huh CL ? Hope this is the right forum since this is Services related I believe. Anyway, I thought my ATI HD 2400 could do with a Catalyst Control Centre update since the current version I have installed is from 07. My computer is an A200-2BO a Tesco exclusive, I searched high and low for ATI HD 2400 Mobility drivers but they were nowhere to be found, when I finally found them on my computers Toshiba support page I was so happy : ) But then the link didn't work!

I do have one question, why can't ATI support the Mobility HD 2400 drivers, since I can see in the future than ATI will update the Catalyst Control Centre and I'll be a couple months behind : /

Just wondering if there was a direct download link for Officejet 4500 g510n-z? I've been trying all morning and haven't been able to from the HP site. Keeps getting stuck at .......compiling your results. Thanks in advance.

I noticed that you are having trouble installing your HP Officejet 4500 G510n-z on your Windows 8.1 computer. I am happy to help with this installation issue!
I would recommend the following:
Uninstall the software. Uninstalling the Printer Software. (In case any old software is still present or partially installed, otherwise carry on to the next step).
Clean boot the computer. How to perform a clean boot in Windows.
Re-install using the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.

Driver download link not working

Greetings,
I am trying to download a driver for the HP Designet 800 (42inch) printer series for Windows XP 32-bit. I am on the download page, which is: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=18...
However, I just cannot download the driver. It simply won't launch. I am on IE8 and I have tried Firefox but it does the same (I get to a connection problem page after a while).
The name of the file is hpdj510wumglen.exe.
Could anyone assist me with this?

Thanks for your response to my question, I see your point and will do that, however, I have another folder that was created before I had a Mac, which has all sorts of lovely titles and labels and some of those pictures I brought over to my ibook when I first started. So there are some duplicates in my iphoto library that I already have backed up in that other folder. I guess I shouldn't really obsess about those. I guess I am just nervous about deleting all my prior iphoto library, but I should have faith that it will all be there in my pictures library. Just trying to clean up the virtual mess.
I'll hold my breath and take the plunge.

1) "Care Pack" product registration page error 2) Driver download page error - links don't work

I cannot register my printer because the page has "Care Pack" product registration page has errors:

I fill in all the information and click the blue "Submit Query" button, and nothing happens except 3 silver "Submit Query" buttons appear below where it says, "Search results" "Select the product that you want to register." But there are no results! And why 3 buttons if no results?
Cookies and scripts are enabled. I did that and refreshed the page before I entered anything, so nothing is getting rejected.
It seems the website has a lot of problems...the download links on the driver page wouldn't work either, so I had to get them from a 3rd party. I am lucky to find a reliable site! (The driver was official and the printer finally installed correctly, which it couldn't even find if I let Windows search online!)

Where's the download link for X230 Windows 8 beta driver?

I am trying to download the Media Card Reader Driver for Windows 8 Beta for my new X230i, but there is no download link on the driver details page as below:

You can download the trial from the Adobe site https://www.adobe.com/products/cs6.html and activate it with your serial number.
Alternatively you can download it directly (without any download manager) from http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs6-direct-download-links.html - make sure you follow the Very Important Instructions before proceeding to the download.

Even using just the CD drivers, shouldn't the applications still work?
right now when I try to open creative speaker settings I get the error:

When using my Linux PC to try and locate drivers for another PC, the website just keeps sending me in circles and never displays the drivers to download. Seems like in the past this has been a problem too. This occures with latest version of Firefox-37.0.1 and the current version of Chromium-37.0.2062.120 Built on Debian 7.6, running on Debian 7.8 (281580) (64-bit).
Navigate to hp.com
Select: Support | Download Drivers
Under 'Drivers and Downloads' tab
- enter product id: officejet pro 8500 A909a
- Select 'Go'
Expand the '+' that lists one link and select it.
None of the following links give a driver download!
- Troubleshooting
- How To
- Product Info.
- Users Guide
- Video Tutorials
- More Options
Maybe one of the options should be 'Driver Downloads'.

Unable to load driver download page.

I was called by my dad who needed some assistance to get a printer installed he bought fresh from a second hand store.
Anyway, I tried getting to the HP download page. The page however remains blank and does not load. I found some similar threads that availability to the driver pages is sometimes inaccesible. I don't want to get ahead of things (like assuming it's the fault of HP), and I also don't want to be a jerk (I love HP seriously)
But I have had very frequent issues in the past with multiple machines on different networks while accessing HP webpages. Either because of extreme long loading times through any hp web service. And in this case unable to access pages completely. Just a reminder that it might be a area of business to improve upon albeit a minor focus point for the people that run this company.
I read similar threads on this board through google searches that the same webpage (driver) page could be accesible through different international domains. I tried the german and spanish ones with the same results.
I tried accessing the driver download page for over 4 hours now.
Maybe it's just a issue with the driver page of my printer type. Especially since it is a older model.
Personally I don't know about safe alternative download methods to get the drivers.
Please post-
1:If you consider the fault to be at my end and how to fix it.
2:If there is any other way to get my hands on the printer software.

Yes, I agree with you that there have been too many times in the last year that the support pages are down.
There should be a performance metric that is part of whoever's job it is that is in charge of the webpages (webmaster?), and there should be measurements of accessibility which should be part of the person's performance evaluations.
For example overall: Webpages never go out more than 1% of the time each year, etc.
I have found it quite unacceptible lately, and if this person worked for me, they would be on the carpet.

Anything short of that, and you better have a darn good reason why the station went off air.
You go off air too many times, how do ships and planes find their position?
I can tell you this, if my station had gone off air as many times as these web pages have been down lately, I would have been relieved of command.

How do I remove download links/button redirect to accurate download

When I go to some sites that have a download link underscored in blue or a button next to text or any other part of the page, I was able to click and download the file. When you point at the link or button you would see the path it will take to download the file. It would have the website name your visiting plus other codes.
But on returning to these sites, when I choose what I want to download, the link or button wants to go to accuratedownload.com. It presents the name of the item I want and with a .EXE extension. My main browser is Firefox version 26.0 on my XP PC. I test Internet Explorer and it produces the same results. Something has changed. I go to the site on my mobile phone, I am able to download the file from the same site and the links/buttons are not embedded with codes to go to accuratedownload.com. I do not know what to call this problem since I had no luck in finding solutions to redirection being embedded in a link or button on a web page that worked fine.
I've tried a reset Firefox, my profile, running Symantec Anti-Virus, Malwarebytes Anit-Malware, Clearing history and so on. The problem still occurs. Need Help.
Note: It would be nice if when the Download Screen pops-up, that we could rename the download file to a name we want (Saves time). Even if you rename the file, the history should record where it came from with the original name if it needs to be downloaded again.

To let you know, When I did a reset and restarted Fire Fox without the Add on's. I tested each user account on my PC. Each user account that used Fire Fox or Windows Explorer showed the same symtoms.
Back to troubleshooting, I've completed a scan using Sothos Free Virus Removal Tool. After a lengthy scan of every drive, partition, USB Thumb Drive and so on that it found, in about 5.5 hours it found Mal/FakeAvCn-C, Mal/JavDlEx-A and CXmal/BadLnk-A and continued by clicking the Clean Up button and that took about 15 minutes for some reason. Then it asked to send the log to Sophos. I clicked send and it failed to get to them.
I tried going on the internet to test the cleanup by clicking on some links and buttons. I could not get on the internet. I found that the NIC card was not working. Don't know why now but probably was affected by the scan. I found myself troubleshooting and reinstalling NIC drivers several times before the NIC card started to run correctly.
I read you post and tried to change the proxy settings in Fire Fox to "No Proxy." The scan, clean up and proxy settings change did not remove the embedded paths in links or buttons that allow you to download or be sent to the intended location. It still had paths to accuratedownload.com and eachdownload.com.
Question: By default is the proxy setting suppose to be "Use system proxy settings"? Should I put this back to this setting.
Windows Explorer has the same problem. Is Fire Fox a stand alone product or does it build parts of itself using Windows Explorer?

Besides the scans and removal done to the registry, the scans it did on the files and folders, the Sophos log shows the virus attached to files in Documents and Folders, All Users (and other user accounts), Application and data folders, Java and Cache, including any shortcuts and long cryptic files like (pg42l784fcuo452hsb6cfbkoke045p75f2e02887m).

just joined the forum. i confess to being a techno-klutz and am on a slow continuous learning curve...aarrgghh!! there is a tremendous wealth of knowledge here - if i just knew how to put it to use - and alot of knowledgeable and helpful folks here. please bear with my lack of technical
knowledge...
so here's my query:
just bought a sprint katana - not too sure if i'm liking it just yet - and am in need of the software/driver download for my ibook g3 power pc750. before i purchased the 'phone i called smith micro (the quicklink moblie people) and they assured me they DID support it for windows as well as mac. they said they would send it to my email address with payment info...well, the next day i opened their message and was stunned to see a message that refuted what i had been told in my initial contact.
so here i am with a 'phone i mostly like, but cannot find a way to establish a link to my ibook (which is not set up for bluetooth & required the pruchase of the motorola pc850 bt adapter)
been wandering around and around using "search" her and on the 'net and i am not having any luck.
i would appreciate hearing from someone else recently purchased the same phone & bluetooth device. i would like to learn how to get the 'phone, the bluetooth device & laptop to work together.

Unfortunately, no Sanyo phones are iSync compatible so you will not be able to synchronize your Contacts and Calendars with the phone.
Also, you may have problems with the Bluetooth adapter you purchased, as the only one officially supported by Apple for use with Macs is the D-Link DBT-120.

It's always a good idea to check this list before purchasing a new phone.
Other phones are supported by third party plugins from here and here. But still no Samsung, Sanyo, LG etc. who all use thier own proprietary syncing protocols rather than the industry standard SyncML. These manufacturers also don't provide Mac software with their phones like the do for Windows users.
I'm afraid you're not going to have much luck if you stick with the Sanyo. I would seriously consider taking it back and swapping it for one of the handsets on the above linked pages. Personally I would recommend a Sony Ericsson model. I've always had excellent Mac compatibility with those.

Windows 7 Download Link?

Just bought a new U350 and I'm eligible for a Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade from Vista Home premium..
I have registered for the upgrade and Lenovo have confirmed the upgrade and are sending out the DVD, the problem is, I don't have an optical drive and would like to download the upgrade instead, anybody know whether this is possible and where the download link is?
Any information much appreicated..

You will need your upgrade media product number, and possibly the vista double install technique to do a clean install though. But you can install immediately, play around with it, and then double install when you receive your media.
