One day back I have brought HP 15-r249 tu laptop but I couldn't get any drivers for this..I searched the support in which the driver download but it shows that drivers are not available..pls help me..

That's a nice Pioneer DVD±RW drive - and an upgraded replacement for the original optical drive that shipped with that G5. For a finished look, you'd want to install it in an external enclosure for 5.25" IDE/ATAPI drives that converts it to USB connectivity. Because SATA optical drives have replaced ATAPI drives in recent years, the selection is getting more limited for a new enclosure, although used ones can undoubtedly be found at ebay. Here's an example of one, although it only features USB connectivity. You can also find enclosures that have both FireWire and USB connectivity, which for Mac users is beneficial. Booting the computer (if needed) by a FireWire-connected device is generally more reliable than USB booting. If this isn't important to you, then a USB-only enclosure would be adequate. The enclosure will have directions, but essentially all you need to do is plug in the power cable and data ribbon cable and then secure the drive to the bottom plate of the enclosure with the included machine screws.

Replacement drive for dv6-6140us laptop

Currenly dying in place in my laptop is a 640gb 5400rpm sata 3gb/sec drive with an 8mb buffer. I was wondering if it would be wise to improve performance a bit and perhaps go to a 7200rpm drive or a 16mb buffer.

As Paul_Tikkanen pointed out, it is a good idea to upgrade to 7,200 rpm with more cache. The heat shouldn't be a problem at all. WD Black is a great drive for high performance and should be a big upgrade over your current drive.
Again, as Paul_Tikkanen stated, you should get similar or larger drive if you are planning to move everything from your old drive to the new one. One way is to clone your old disk and thus have the exact same copy on the new one. A great program to do this is Acronis True Image (I've put a link at the bottom). Another way is to make an image of your current disk and transfer it to your new one.
If you would like to further upgrade your laptop, I'd say you should check out also WD Black2 which is a dual drive with 120G SSD and 1TB HDD in one and, unlike the hybrid drives, you have the freedom to choose what to install on the SSD and what to put on the HDD (the OS and most important games and programs for example). There's a link to that too at the bottom.
SATA 3 is backwards compatible with SATA 2 and should work just fine, with the speed of SATA 2.
Do make sure to have a backup of all your important information before you move your data from your old drive to your new one.

Clone hard drive for HP DV4T laptop with windows 7. Did not boot up after cloning.

I just bought Dv4t laptop with windows 7. I cloned the hard drive and installed the cloned HD to test to make sure it worked. It didn't boot up. I used Acronis 2010 to clone via HD using USB adapter. I installed Acronis to laptop and ran the Acronis program then selected clone disk utilities and follow the directions. May be I'm not doing it correctly. Do I need to create Acronis boot disk first?

I've got it working. I had to make boot disk with Acronis. After that stuck that disk in cd drive and restart the laptop then clone the HD.
Now I've got it kept in safe place. Since the laptop is for my kid for her college.

I have bought G62-B53se laptop. Core-I5, 4GB RAM. Windows 7 installed. On device manager shows Display Adapeter is Standard VGA Graphics Adapter, but It should be ATI Graphics 5470. I couldn't find the driver on website. How can I get this?

Windows 7 sound driver for p105 s6134 laptop?

I installed windows 7 64bits ultimate to my old p105 s6134 laptop today. everything is fine except the sound. the device can't start that is the message I got. so anyone have any luck get this to work? I need the driver!

Windows 7 has some drivers disable sound options. Try the drivers from the sound card mfgs web site.

I made some experience with Vista drivers on Win 7 and many Vista drivers worked using Win 7 but didnt notice that any Win XP drivers would work using Win 7.

Thats odd unless its a Windows 9x system lol. You shouldn't need drivers for USB storage devices. They are designed to identify themselves as Mass Storage class devices which will run with the built in drivers after Windows 98. Occasionally you will get a device that have deliberately been designed to not meet the standards (for extra features) but you saying this happens with other USB devices says this isn't the case.
Does it only happen with storage devices? Like hard drives, flash drives etc?
The model and windows version shouldn't make much of a difference in this case but it doesn't hurt to know what kind of system you are using.
Look up the USB controller in your system, if there are drivers for that, download them. If it's an already Windows supported device there is no need to download anything for it (have your Windows disc handy if you use XP) then uninstall the USB controller from the Windows Device Manager using the option to remove the drivers as well if the option is there. Restart and let Windows find the USB controller and install it (and any other devices attached to the USB bus). You may find your keyboard, mouse and any other USB devices won't work until Windows has finished installing them. Just give it some time, Windows will get there.

Here's my problem: I am trying to build the latest wacom driver for my tablet laptop so I can use touch sensitivity in gimp and other applications. I seem to missing some libraries or some thing, this is the relevant part of ./configure:

and:

What is the Xorg SDK (software development kit?) and does anyone know where I can get it? Will I have to build Xorg from source? I have done a search in pacman and on the website and can't seem to find anything.
Note in other distros (ubuntu & gentoo) the package is called linuxwacom.

I've looked at the link to the wiki that Wain posted, there were not much instructions but guess that its just to C&P the package build and run it? So I did but got errors.
First this.

My primary DVDRW drive for my Dell Laptop is not working right. I connected an external DVDRW drive via USB to my computer but I can't get ITUNES to use it when I try to burn a CD. it keeps trying to use the primary DVDRW drive (E:.

Once the info is downloaded to yoru computer, it won't recheck it unless you tell it to.
Resubmit the info, wait a bit then menu Advanced -> Get CD track info.
Gracenote database is all user submitted info so if anyone else submits incorrect data, it may show up worng.

Remove the check from "Show Compatible Hardware" and click on "Have Disk".
Next...browse to the unzipped folder and choose the "WiSVHe5.inf".
Ignore XP when it complains.
Reboot.

How to find audio driver for HP sleekbook

Cannot find audio driver for my HP laptop......... I purchased new HP sleek book, model no. pavillion sleek book 15e-b001
after 2 to 3 months, I found my laptop's speaker were not working and the sound got very slow. I could not do anything so I kept using headphone.
recently i run the driverpack, and accidently some audio driver updated and my laptop's voice got increased amazingly i was surprised, it was quite good,
but now I updated my windows 8 to 10, and all previous driver removed, and voice became too slow as previously it was.,
now i run the driverpack 15 wich is most updated version but they did not update that driver, and still my laptop's voice is too slow.
I don't know the exact name of that drivers , how to know the name of that drivers???
on the internet I have tried too many audio drivers, high definition etc, but the result is zero,
