Is there a driver for the PXI-8310 that works with Windows 7?

The only one I can seem to find is for XP.

Unfortunately there is not a Windows 7 driver for the PXI-Cardbus8310, as this is a legacy device which is currently going EOL (End of Life). The XP driver for the 8310 (which you may already have found) can be downloaded here:

If using Win 7 is critical, we recommend the PXI-ExpressCard 8360 as a replacement for the 8310:

In need of a new hard drive for my old G5 computer

Hello there, I'm not as savvy as you are with computers but I am in need of a new hard drive for my old G5 computer that my husband uses. His crashed. If you did it all over again would you buy the same new hard drive? If so, where did you buy it? I don't even know where to start and was SO happy to find this recent post on installing new drives into the G5. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I actually just ran across this hard drive oddity for the first time myself just yesterday. It seems that some older Macs may not be able to use the newest SATA interfaces on some hard drives.
I an attempt to not get overly technical, SATA is the current interface type on computer hard drives. You can get some additional information from Wikipedia at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_ATA. There are currently three revisions, SATA-1 (the oldest), SATA-2 (the current version), & SATA-3 (the latest and greatest).
So what happened was that my G5 could not use the SATA-3 drive I purchased because the computer could not support the SATA-3 standard. It was possible to "slow down" one of the other test SATA-3 drives to make it work like a SATA-2 and so it may be possible to do the same to other hard drives.
To answer your question, I would NOT purchase the saem hard drive for my Mac as it does not work for this older Mac.
My suggestion, if you can find one purchase the same hard drive that was in the computer. That way you know it is compatible. If you would like to upgrade, you will have to do some looking. Although I cannot recommend a specific drive, my two favorite companies are Seagate, www.seagate.com and Western Digitial, www.wdc.com. You most likely have a 3.5" drive, if you have a desktop, 2.5" for a laptop. WD has the Cavier line and Seagate has either Barrcuda or Momentus. What you are looking for is capacity.
So, both Seagate and Western Digital are good. You need a 3.5" drive for a desktop or 2.5" drive for a laptop. Stick with a SATA-2 drive also known as a SATA 3Gb/s drive for compatibility. Get a drive that is 7200 RPM or higher. Finally purchase the largest capacity at you can afford. Amazon is a good general place to been looking.

Plug a NAS into the BT Hub that does TM. Look at Synology.
You just use the wireless of the hub.
But the cheapest solution is still the TC.

Looking for a site that shows problems with windows patches or updates...so I know what not to install.
Plenty of sites list and summarize individual patches, I want one that consolidates problems and complaints so I can better assess the risk. Currently I'm waiting to install patches several days and doing google searches. That works, but I'd rather find a place
that does it with expertise.

Driver for CT4660 digital I/O card - with Soundblaster Live SB0

Hi - I searched the Knowledge Base here and the Support Driver section of the Creative Labs website and nowhere can I find a driver for the Digital I/O card CT4660. I have a Soundblaster Li've SB000 and the digital I/O card together with the connector cable. Can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction? Googled the web too, but just found one other message of someone looking for the same thing with no replies posted to that thread.

A new hard drive for my old 430CDS

Hi all,
though a similar question has already been asked here before several times, I couldn't find any relevant thread for my combination:
laptop: Toshiba 430CDS Satellite Pro (model no: 1230EYV-GRDI)
old HD: Toshiba MK2103MAV (2.1 Gb ATA-3?)
new HD: Toshiba MK4021GAS (40 Gb ATA-5?) - just a spare I have at hand
it fails to boot with new HD, of course! I wonder why, as I was even able to install Win XP (floppy+CD setup) on it, including the stage of copying files to the HD, until a restart was needed by the setup procedure. Rebooting failed with "no system disk or disk error".
I also tried to boot from a Win95 floppy (I have Win 95 on the old HD) but C: isn't accessed because of "invalid drive specification". What does it mean? Oh, and it takes about 5 minutes with a blinking cursor on the screen, no message or screen shown, nor HD activity led lit (apart from a flash as I switch it on), before the BIOS realizes it can't boot.
The incompatible ATA version, I suspect, but I'd like to undersand if a BIOS update could help somehow, and what to look for, if I want to find a working replacement HD.

Sounds like a bios size limitation to me. See here for more information on this. First thing to try is go into the bios and see how the drive is recognized and what size it thinks it is. Unless it sees the drive as it's full capacity you are just wasting your time trying to force it to work on that system.
You can try partitioning the hard drive as a 6gb drive to see if that works better, but that would only work with WIndows 98 or 95 OSR2.0 or later.
XP is NEVER going to run on that system as it doesn't even come close to meeting the minimum rquirements. WIndows 98 would be the best for it. An old orignal Win95 disk will NOT recognize that drive period, although a 95 OSR/2 or later 95 disk might. The orignal 95 can only see partitons up to 2.1gb in size due to only having FAT16.
My advice is to use a Win 98 startup disk to wipe the drive of all partitions then start from scratch with a WIndows 98 installation.
If you don't post your COMPLETE model number it's very difficult to assist you. Please try to post in complete sentences with punctuation, capitals, and correct spelling. Toshiba does NOT provide any direct support in these forums. All support is User to User in their spare time.

I was having this same issue and found a solution. I was thrilled when I upgraded to 7, until I found out that MANY drivers and applications are just not compatible. BUT....here's the loophole: you can set the program to run in Windows Vista compatibility
mode and it WILL work. To do this: 1) Download the driver utility (CS330.exe in this case) to your desktop. Note: I used the CS330 driver for Windows XP and am running 64 bit Windows 7 on my computer. 2) Right click on the icon and select "Restore Previous
Versions" 3) Select the "Compatibility" tab. 4) Check the box for "Compatibility Mode" and select "Windows Vista (Service pack 2) from the drop-down menu. 5) Click "Apply" and then "Ok" 6) Reboot your computer
and click on the icon to install. Follow instructions given on the screen. Hope this helps!

The TWAIN driver is a software.
For example you want to take a picture from built-in web camera by using your application.
Your application accesses to web camera via twain driver.
Just like printer driver. With printer driver you can send your documents to printer via printer driver.
With the TWAIN driver you can access to WEB CAM and capture the picture and save the picture image
yo your application.
Almost all of the external web cameras have TWAIN drivers. Twain driver is become defacto.
I asked the TWAIN driver here because my note book has built-in web camera.
I may access to built-in web camera via TWAIN drivers. Is the any way you know?
I have been using these TWAIN drivers over 20 years in my application.
For getting picture from camera or from scanner.
