i'm searching for this driver because the device manager is telling me that the driver isn't installed.
I have already installed the WLAN driver and the LAN (Ethernet) driver.

As per the query we understood that you facing issue with network driver for both Wifi & Lan on your ThinkPad T540p.
Below is the link for both the driver, uninstall the current installed drivers first and then install the latest downloaded driver.
Intel LAN adapter, Intel Wifi adapter
If the system is taken any of the drivers and if you find that the internet connection is working then you can use Think vantage system update tool to update all the required drivers and application for your system.
If possible can you send the screenshot of device manager and along with system MTM (Machine Type Model)?
How to post the images in forum.

Driver for GTX970 win7 x64?

I just install a win7 system instead of the win8.1 that comes with the desktop. But the drivers published from Nvidia does not fit my GTX970. No idea what happens... Does anybody know any solution for this problem? Or maybe I have to go back to Win8. BTW, win8 really doesn't fit me...

L2440X Driver for Windows 7 x64

Hello all together, how do I get a driver for Windows 7 x64 ago for this monitor?
Windows detects the monitor is only as PNP monitor.
The monitor is connected to an XFX 5850 by DP.
I had already downloaded the driver from Lenovo, but this can not be installed. there is only the message --
It was found driver software for the device but to install an error has occurred.
Lenovo L2440xwC (DP), the system can not find the file specified.
But this is me in the system folder.
Where is the problem?

I wonder if the problem here is that HDCP (built-in DRM) is not supported though the Display Port interface (or the VGA interface). It is only supported through the DVI interface. Win7 x64 considers your use of your computer to be the business of Hollywood and Redmond, and if you want to enjoy HD content, then Win7 will *protect* that content at all costs, including disabling your computer hardware. This means refusing to allow unsigned drivers or 32-bit drivers into 64-bit systems that are under DRM-lockdown.
But this is conjecture on my part. Maybe the problem lies elsewhere. Or maybe Lenovo has no responsibility to past customers, and so leaves them hanging out there with hardware incompatibilities that will NEVER be fixed (because the L2440x has been discontinued, and Lenovo isn't going to sink another single penny into something--like updating the device driver--that can no longer make them any money).

I want to install Win7 on my new iMac using bootcamp. I got a USB drive for the win7 install-disc, but I don't own a cd for the Mac OS (since it was preinstalled when I got it). I read somewhere that I need a mac OS disc as well?

you don't need OS X install-disk, but I strongly recomend to burn a Win 7 disk. You may have some problems with installing it from a USB Flash :)

X201 multi touch driver for windows 8 x64?

Hi
I'm using X201 (3093-96G) and I'm testing Windows 8 Release Preview.
The most is working fine.
But two things are not working:
- multi touch
- finger print reader
Have anybody better experiences?
Are there driver for windows 8 already?

FIXED IT !
I downloaded (from my backup, driver version 3.1.1.3, driver date 12.01.2011, but I did Win7 fresh re-install and fresh drivers in October 2012) the old win7 driver installation files ( that I used before win 8 upgrade) to C:\DRIVERS\WIN\MTouch, went to Device Manager and selected "unknown device", which I knew was the Wacom Tablet, because all other drivers are just fine and working.
then select - right cklick - update driver software... - browse my computer for updated driver software - and browsed manually to the directory C:\DRIVERS\WIN\MTouch, check Include subfolders and click NEXT !
A warning appeared that the driver is the correct one, but hw device can not be found, after restart multitouch is working !!!
In dev manager there was exclamation mark on wacom tablet but it WORKed and the pen as well !!
Now I tried the "newer" tablet driver from Lenovo (todays download), but Windows 8 REFUSED IT !!! sayin that it estimated that I already have the best driver for my device !!
Now I was able to procced the full install by running setup.exe from used driver install directory and I must restart windows now, lets hope it still works after reboot

Hi I updated my Hp Pavillion dv6701au 32bit from Vista to Win7 Ultimate/ SP1. Since then, the audio driver,LAN and webcam driver is dead. i have tried finding everyhting on net i am unable to do anything. Device manager also has not helped, nor has automatic updating helped. On HP Website also the drivers are of Win Vista n not Win7 32 bit. Please for Gods sake help me.

I understand that you updated your system to Windows 7 ultimate sp1. If HP has not tested an operating system on a model of computer, they do not post drivers. With that being said, I will be happy to look for some updated drivers for you.
Would you provide me the hardware Id for the audio and the network.

[GeForce 6] nx6600gt-vtd128 vivo driver for windows xp x64 edition?

Are there any (beta or release) wdm driver for this msi's nx6600gt-vtd128 for windows xp x64 edition? If not, are there plans to make an x64 driver in the near future?

I have the same card, and i can't find ANY capture driver for it. Not even the WindowsXP 32-Bit.
Could you enlighten me on where exactly did you see the 32bit capture drivers? (Other than the MSI CD)

Now I noticed you said NVDIA's Website, they're even older than the ones MSI provided on the CD. Older by like 2 years.
What I'm looking for, is a place where I can find fresh new WDM drivers. Or at least an online package of what's on the CD
Drivers should not be availiable only on a CD.

i reinstalled my Windows, because my old hard-drive was damaged. Now I have Windows 7 x64.
By installing the hardware drivers from the Toshiba homepage I had a problem with the W-Lan driver.
It has an Atheros W-Lan Adapter, but the driver doesn't works. After extracting it the window closes and the installation doesn't begins.
What can I do?

What notebook do you have exactly?
Are you sure that the notebook supports Atheros Wlan card?

DO NOT USE ANY BIOS OR FIRMWARE FILES FROM THIS MODEL

Recommended order of installation for the first 4:
1. Intel chipset installation utility and reboot.
2. AMD graphics driver and reboot. Note: This installs the drivers for both the AMD and Intel GPU's.
3. IDT Audio driver and reboot.
4. Realtek ethernet driver and reboot.
Then you can install whatever else you need in any order you want.

I want to install windows7 on my 27in iMAC. I have an OEM version of Win7 which is win pro 7, 64 bit english. I will use boot camp to partion the hard drive for a win7 install. Can I use this version for the installation ??

My iMAC is a 2011 3.4 GHz intel i7 based with a 27in display. A year ago, I bought a Microsoft win pro 7 64-bit english OEM OS to install over a newly assembled AMD PC. I never installed it. Now, I want to put it on my iMAC using either Apple Bootcamp or Parallels. The win 7 OEM package has a lot of verbage about using an OEM preinstallation kit (OPK) and that it must be preinstalled on the hard drive. Is it OK to install this win7 version following the Bootcamp instructions.?

What Fixed IE8/9 No Flash For Me [Win7 x64]

Read a lot of posts about people having issues with Flash not working in IE8 (or IE9) after a recent virus cleanup on a client's machine.
The basics that I tried didn't work;
-Kill bit didn't exist in the location people outlined in this forum HKLM/Software/microsoft/etc. etc.
-Uninstall/Reinstall (using both activex install and stand alone, and using uninstaller with or without wiping files in C:\windows\wowsys64\flash)
-Upgrade IE8 to IE9
-Malware was already cleaned, all scans kept coming up clean
-Reset IE settings
-Probably a few other things!
What ended up fixing it for me, on a Win7 64-bit machine was deleting this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\ActiveX Compatibility\{D27CDB6E-AE6D-11CF-96B8-444553540000}
I didn't see this documented here as a kill bit location, possily because it would only exist on a 64 bit machine, but it indeed solved my issue completely! Just deleted that key (of course backed it up first) and immediately opened up a page in IE and flash worked flawlessly.
Hoping this helps save someone the frustration I know these kind of issues can cause.

Hi, I think you misunderstood my concern. I was not saying that what you found that fixed your client's issue was wrong or not correct. It is something to consider as any Kill-bit is.
I read the article and commented on it and pointed out it was for FP vs 6 and also the instructions that Microsoft have for setting the Kill-bit. Also how Kill-bits can be set.
The only reason I even replied to your thread was my concern for users going into the Registry which is risky, especially those that are newbies. That is one of the reasons that Pat has the REG file to remove that Kill-bit, as a safe guard to the user. We stress for anyone to "look" only for that Key and not to DO anything.
My first reply to your thread was not even to you, it was to another user that asked how to delete that key.
Concern for the users that come here has always been a priority for me. I've seen many suggestions such as using System Restore for everything except what it is for. Also reformat your HD to fix Flash Player and worse.
That you found that Key and deleted it is great. Perhaps that Kill-bit Key is being created now for the 64bit OS and if so, that's good to know. I'm glad you posted the info, in spite of my concern for inexperienced users.

Save for web win7 x64 CS4 x64

...is Rubbish!
crashes everytime. I have to do my save for web in 32bit photoshop. it was flaky on XP 32bit as well but not as consistantly wobbly.
Can anyone report whether its better on CS5?

Can you be more specific about what size image you're starting with, what color depth, what color space? Are you saving .gif, .jpg, what?
I just saved this animated .gif image, for example, using that combination on Windows 7 x64. Notably it continued to work, but when I finally shut Photoshop down Windows reported "Photoshop Has Stopped Working", so... I think your problem is confirmed.
In my case, it was a fresh start of Photoshop, 2 opens via Camera Raw, some minor editing to overlay one image over the other, sizing, Make Frames from Layers, Save For Web. Images were 8 bit, sRGB when saved.
P.S., the image below doesn't seem to animate except when it's expanded to full size.

Hi, I just registered here because I want to request to Lenovo, to release new updated Intel HD 4000 video driver for Windows 7 x64 system. Lenovo just offers last year driver. I want to install the generic Intel driver bu I afraid hotkey OSD won't work because I know Lenovo made some customization on its drivers. So please, release X230 new video driver update for Windows 7 x64.
