Driver for VM3608A: DIGITAL-TO-ANALOG CONVERTER

Hello,
can someone help me to find a driver for the VXI-Card VM3608A? Im using
Labview 6.02 and the VXI-Cards are running in a firewire-controlled frame.
On which sites can i search for a driver?
Thanks for your help.
Martin

Dear Martin,
Many instrument drivers can be downloaded from NI by going to http://www.ni.com/devzone/idnet/ and selecting "Search for a Driver." In this case, the driver for the VM3608A is not available on the NI web site. This driver is available from VXI Technologies, the manufacturer of the VM3608A. You can download the driver by going to http://www.vxitech.com/download.asp and selecting the appropriate instrument driver.

  • Using Air Port for music...do I need a digital to analog converter

I want to play my iTunes library on my old stereo using my iPod Touch as a remote control (that works well with my Bose Wave Radio).  My old stereo is an analog system. When I plug the output of my Air Port Express into my stereo though RCA cable, do I need to use a Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) or is there a DAC as part of the Air Port Express???
    Many thanks,
    Twinz

After doing a little more digging, I find that using a Toslink cable out of the AirPort Express and into a quality external DAC, and then using RCAs to connect to my pre-amp will get much better results out of my stereo. Evidently the DAC in the AirtPort is not great quality.  So, what I'm going to do is hook up the stereo through the AirPort and listen.  If it sounds bad, I'll spring for a decent external DAC.  Many thanks!

  • Do we have Digital to Analog converter with high current output?

Do we have Digital to Analog converter with high current output? I need 8 channels and each channel has at least 100mA current output. Thanks!

I have never heard of such a device. You will probably need to follow the D/A with an amplifer for each channel.
What is the voltage range and speed required? Any special protection requirements (such as current limiting)?

  • Driver for CT4660 digital I/O card - with Soundblaster Live SB0

Hi - I searched the Knowledge Base here and the Support Driver section of the Creative Labs website and nowhere can I find a driver for the Digital I/O card CT4660. I have a Soundblaster Li've SB000 and the digital I/O card together with the connector cable. Can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction? Googled the web too, but just found one other message of someone looking for the same thing with no replies posted to that thread.
    Thanks and happy New Year.

  • Windows 7 64-bit driver for Canon Digital Rebel XT

How do I interface my Canon Digital Rebel XT with a computer running Windows 7 64-bit?

You are correct.  Canon does not provide a driver for Windows 7 64-bit.  You have to change the communication mode in your camera and then use Windows Photo Gallery or other software to transfer the photos.  Here is the response that I received from Canon tech support (it works):
"To connect your camera to a Windows Vista or Windows 7 computer, you'll need to change the communication mode.
To set your camera up for this, please do the following:
With the camera disconnected from the computer, turn the camera on.  Press the "Menu" button.  Now select the [Wrench, Hammer, 2] tab.  Scroll down to "Communication" and press the "Set" button.
Select the [Print/PTP] and press "Set".  This process is more completely described (and illustrated too!) on page 121 of your Digital Rebel XT Instruction Manual.
Now connect your camera to your computer and turn the camera on.  Your computer should now recognize and have access to your Digital Rebel XT.
Unfortunately, Canon software cannot communicate with the Rebel XT when operating in this mode.
You may download your pictures using Windows Photo Gallery, or you may use a card reader to download images.  If you haven't already done so, you may retrieve and install this program from Microsoft's download.live.com."

  • Fast multi-channel digital to analog converter

    Hello,
I’m a PhD student working in a mechanics laboratory in France (LMT Cachan) and one of the goals of my thesis is to control a hydraulic testing machine using digital image correlation techniques. In order to do this, I need to take a photo of a sample, process it, extract 4 parameters and send them to the testing machine. This process needs to be repeated at a frequency of approximately 80Hz. We need a device to send these values from a Linux computer to the 4 analog entries of the machine (0-10V, 0.5 mA) by coaxial BNC cable. We managed to do this for one channel using an USB connected oscilloscope by sending a continuous current by changing the offset using C++. The problem is that this solution is too slow and has only one channel.
For this we would need a device that has a viable and fast connection (Ethernet, PCI, even USB if recommended) that can send data from a Linux computer (ideally using C++) with a latency of around 1ms, frequency of at least 100Hz, precision of 0.1% and on 4 synchronized analog outputs. Given that I am not particularly specialized in the field of electronics, researching such a device among the large quantity of items produced by your firm proves to be a difficult task.
I would like to know if you have a product that fits our needs and if similar purpose programming has already been done (or could easily be done) to send data from a linux computer to analog outputs (using C++ ideally).
    Best regards,
    Ionut Prisacari

  • Driver for USB digital speaker?

Last time I bought a set of digital USB speaker (...Pleomax PSP-7000W/Christal Edition). The description on the packing up was clear: Compatible with Microsoft Windows,..... and Mac 10.1 or later, driver disc included. When I wanted to install the driver, I found out, that there is only software for windows on the CD!!!
The support of Pleomax/Samsung does not answer me. Is there anyone with an idea, if there are drivers for Mac - and how I can get them?
    Greetings from Thailand,

    G4   Mac OS X (10.3)   450 MHz PowerPC G4, 576 MB SDRAM

Just plug them in, and make them the default output source in system preferences, I doubt you need any drivers. Windows needs drivers for every little thing, OSX does not.

  • Digital to analog converter

I think this question will be for a tech.  I am trying to hook up a converter to a TV that will then be used to transmit the audio from the TV to a device that will send it to a pair of hearing aids.  I am using a Gefen TV GTV-DIGAUD-2-AAUD converter.  I have hooked this up to my Toshiba at home and it works fine. However, I am trying to use it with a Toshiba DVD/TV combo model # 19SLV411U and it will not send the audio signal to the converter. It is set up the same way as when I used it at home. The only difference is that I'm using a DVD instead of just watching TV.  I've tried changing the audio setup in different ways but it still will not work. It says it supports audio sampling frequencies 32, 44.1, 48 and 96khz.  Is there another converter that will work? I am trying to use this to demonstrate this hearing aid feature in my office. Will it work with a TV signal rather than a DVD?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

Yes, that TV will need one.

  • Is there a driver for NI Digital I/O cards for Venturcom RTX without LabView?

I'm looking for Digital I/O cards (PCI) for use with Venturcom RTX app (without LabView) and, since LabView RTX is based on Venturcom's RTX, I was hoping that NI might provide RTX drivers for their cards.

    Dear Martin,
I have looked for information for PCI DIO drivers for use with the Venturcom RTX application without LabVIEW, unfortunately NI does not produce any RTX drivers for NI cards.
I would advise you to use register level programming, below is a link (even though it is for a PCI 6036):

    Unfortunatley this is limited information.

  • I am designing successive approximation ADC designed using LabVIEW I need DAC digital to analog converter block please give me DAC code

    help me

    Hi,
To send your boolean array bit by bit you'll have to enter your array in a For Loop to unindex it.
You could use your counter output, if there's any, to generate the clock for the D/A, if not, you'll have to make it programatically.

  • Audio Digital Analog Converter bit resolution

Hello ! i´m looking if I can use IPHONE to make my investigation project. Someone of you know which is the audio Digital Analog Converter bit resolution for a normal audio conversation? 13bits? thank you very much

MonoPrice.com has a digital to analog converter for around $25 although it looks like it is on back order. I would give them a call anyways. Don't get fooled by their prices, they are fast and cheap but good and the place to buy all your audio and video cables. I wired up my sisters entire home theater for less than a quarter of what I payed for my first HDMI cable which I didn't pay much for either.

  • Apple TV great on older DVI TV w/ simple digital to analog audio converter

I bought a Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) for $59.95 to convert optical audio (via Toslink) to RCA analog stereo jacks.
Device I purchased was a DAC-2016 S/PDIF to Analog RCA cnvt.
    Very compact!
Also, bought a Belkin Toslink cable for $19.95 at the local Apple Store.
Works perfectly with my HDTV that only has DVI and Component inputs (plus coax, component, etc.)
I just bought it last month.
Googled it a minute ago. Price seems to have gone back up to $89.95. (List price is $99.95.) Not available right now. Maybe Apple TV caused it to sell out.
Let me know if any of you can find this item in stock anywhere or have another solution. I have a friend who has an older HDTV with DVI inputs.
    Thanks,
    Alan

Finally realized that it was the Gefen box not working!?!?!?  I went to the store and asked them to try it out and they had trouble too. Another Gefen was tried and it worked. They all said they had never seen a defective one before. Thanks anyway for your help. It was appreciated!

  • Macbook Pro as optical to analog converter

I've noticed that my Macbook Pro has an optical/analog audio in and an optical/analog audio out. My HDTV has only an optical out, and my home audio system has only an analog (stereo) input. Can I use my Macbook Pro as a digital to analog converter? That is, if I connect my TV to the Macbook Pro using an optical cable, and connect the computer to the home theater system via RCA cable, will I get sound? If so, will the Dolby output from the TV also be converted?
    Thanks for your input.

I'm pretty sure that the only way to do this would be by hacking something together with VNC, which sends a desktop frame-by-frame across a network connection. Because it goes over the network, it's not even in the same league speed-wise as DVI. In fact, even when I connect my PowerBook to my MacBook Pro over gigabit ethernet, a VNC connection is too slow to play even a modest video.

  • Set values for the Lock-In Amplifier's Digital Analog Converter Channel?

If I let my user have the freedom to select whatever values they want to select in order for it to show up as the output value for the Digital Analog Channel then I cannot understand why use ibwrt(...) and ibrd(...). Because ibwrt is going to write a specific voltage at the specified channel since the manual for the Amplifier states you must input the string for writing output voltage as DAC2 3000 (the 2 signifying the channel and 3000 - the millivolts). If this hard coding occurs by using ibwrt then how can I write my code so that the user has the capability to change the voltage value and the channel to the one they want? Thanks in advance.

Do I need a Fmt and ibwrt for both DOutput and VOutput? Because DOutput is indicative of the channels 1, 2, 3, 4 in the Lock in Amplifier and the VOutput is for the amount of volts the user can set (i.e. write to the instrument). Also I found this on the following NI website regarding filling in the value of the write buffer: Write Buffer Value. This website signifies that one must use \002 and end with 003\ which I am not sure I even need for this instance of initializing the writeBuffer[8]. Also I used [7] for the writeBuffer because I thought arrays went 0, 1, 2, 3...so on therefore writeBuffer[7] will give me space for 8 bytes? Is that an incorrect assumption? Lastly, here is my modified code according to the changes you mentioned and it still is giving me Non-Fatal Run Time Errors and not communicating. Is there anything else I am missing out on which I can't find. Seemed like I may be making this code much harder than it needs to be. Thank you for your time.
    Sincerly,

  • 32" Toshiba Regza - can i used digital to analog optical audio converter?

    32AV700A - 32" Toshiba Regza
Can I use digital to analog optical audio converter?
My objective is not to use LCD TV internal speakers as it's really bad since the the speakers are on the back. If i use the digital optical cable and plug in to the converter, can all my DVD and other devices connected to the LCD TV play to 1 external audio source instead internal speakers?

    Thanks for the suggestion.
I got a bit more noise but still no coherent sound.
