Driver for windows 8.1 scanjet 8250

Intermittent freezing on behalf of the scanner, I have to go to task manager and end photoshop and another program "twunk" and restart photoshop to get the scanner to "wake up". The photoshop I was using was version 5, I upgraded to 13, it didn't recognize the scanner. So I deleted the scanner from my computer, and now it is gone. Is there a driver for the hp 8250, I saw where (after the damage was done) there is a firmware update. What do you suggest, I am not getting rid of my 8250 because it has the automatic paper feed, and I love it.

According to the available drivers for your computer, there are no supported drivers for your notebook's wireless adapter on Windows 8.1.
I can attempt to find compatible drivers for your system on Windows 8.1, but first I will need the Hardware ID for the chipset drivers. This can be done by following the steps below.
Please post the Windows Device Manager's "Hardware Ids" for all remaining missing or unknown devices as shown in the example below and we can direct you to the proper drivers:

I afraid you will not be able to use the scanner with Windows 8.1, it is not compatible with the OS.
Regarding VueScan, I afraid it would not be an option as well, the application only support your scanners if there are drivers for the OS:
If there isn't an HP scanner driver at www.hp.com for your operating system, then unfortunately VueScan won't work with this scanner.
You may try using the Vista drivers by running the drivers using the Program Compatibility Troubleshooter as listed below.. select Not Listed from the programs list and browse to the installation file for Vista:

HP Officejet 4255 driver for Windows 7, 32 bit.
Driver is not in pull up list and not in OS(can't update OS basic). Almost all series are listed but 4200 series is missing.
After upgrade to Windows 7, it has become a problem. Some solution should be given.

Ok, I found in the Net the drive 7uw706ww.zip, which is Version 6.1.4.2, while the updated version is 6.1.10.5 (7UW708WW).
I tried again the GPS, and it wasn't working.
Anyway, before downgrading, I tried to reinstall the new driver, downloading and installing the .exe instead going through System Update.
Result: now GPS is working (same place, same conditions, just 5 minutes later)!
Don't know where the difference is...

Lenovo Thinkpad 8 Wifi driver for Windows 10?

I've installed Windows 10 Technical Preview on my Lenovo Thinkpad 8. It's been working pretty nicely, except for one thing: the Broadcom Wifi card driver (Broadcom BCM4324 Wireless LAN Driver). Since this doesn't work I have to use a USB antenna.
This driver has gotten no update since the release of the Thinkpad 8! I tried running it in "Windows 8 compatibiliy mode" and that still doen't work. Does anŷone know of a possible way to make it work (either with an update, or an older driver in compatibility mode)? Any idea or suggestion (or word from Broadcom) is welcome!

I had the same problem and installed the Win 8.1 version of the driver.
First deinstall the microsoft driver, download the driver from http://support.lenovo.com/<xx>/<xx>/products/tablets/thinkpad-tablet-series/thinkpad-8/?tabName=Down...
replace <xx> by your language code. eg. en (my language code was de)
look for Broadcom BCM4324 Wireless LAN Driver for Windows 8.1 (32-bit) - ThinkPad 8 or (64-bit in case)
Start the installer and you're done.

You may download the Universal Print Driver PCL5 below, it is compatible with both Windows 7 or 8 64-bit.
For USB select Plug n Play, for network select Tradiotional Mode and follow the steps by setting a TCP/IP Port with the IP Address of the printer:

I understand that you need the driver for Windows 8.1. I would be happy to help you.
I checked the website and unfortunately there isn't any drivers to be able to download for Windows 8.1 for the HP Deskjet 1280 Printer. But you should be able to install the printer with a Windows generic driver. Plug the printer into the computer to see if Windows will automatically install a OS. driver.
You might have to add the driver manually, here are the steps:
Go to the start up screen. (tiles menu)
Type in "Devices and Printers", select settings, click on Devices and Printers.
Click on Add Printer and follow the steps.
Select the HP Deskjet PCL3 Class Driver from the list.

There are two ways to download and install the ful featured software for Deskjet F370..
1> Please download and run the HP Printer Install Wizard from www.hp.com/go/tools
2> Or click HERE to go to driver page, select your PC OS , click next and then click on Driver and download full featured software.

I cannot find a driver for Windows 7, 64 bit to run the Photosmart 325 printer. Does one exist? Is there a work around? (The driver for Windows 7, 32 bit does not work)

Use the Photosmart 320 series driver available through Windows Update.

Installing HP Laser Jet 5 driver for Windows 7 64-bit or 32-bit

I had an issue with installing an HP LaserJet 5 printer to a WIndows 7 64-bit box. I thought I would post my experience and solution to this problem so that others can quickly resolve similar issues.
If you connect as I did with a Parallel Printer-to-USB cable, then Win-7 searches for drivers automatically. But none werre found. However, using "Add Printer" via Control Panel/View Devices and Printers/Printers and Faxes, then left click starts the process for finding and installing the HP driver needed.
No need as others have suggested to go to HP Support Center to install their Universal Printing PCL 5 driver found here:

CORRECT DRIVER FOR WINDOWS 7 AND HP COLOR LASER JET 4600dn

I'm having a problem with our IT department. My old 4600dn worked great until they started downloading new drivers for Windows 7, which they installed just recently. Now the one he INSISTS I use has only one tray selection.... Auto. I'm trying to print business cards..(absolutely no problem till now).... but he INSISTS that this is the only driver. Then he wants me to choose Pg.....select 1, then MANUAL DUPLEX. That's almost impossible for the printer. I'm almost POSITIVE you have a print driver that will allow me the tray selections I had before he installed Windows 7 and this particular driver. I always used "Tray 1," CURRENT PAGE, it zoomed through the perforated cardstock like a streak!!!! Now, the poor printer is trying to run perforated cardstock through the duplexing unit. Out of 10 pages of cards, I ended up with 1 front printed and 9 pieces of cardstock that stuck in the tray and jammed in the duplexing unit. Is there a CORRECT print driver for this particular printer that will allow all my normal functions to be visible and viable? I don't have the model, nor serial #, as it is work printer and I'm at home now, so I can't get on chat. He is hard to get along with and has been playing games this whole time. I found one driver he inadvertantly left a day and a half ago and printed the cards like lightening, as it used to....7 minutes and I had 200 cards for two different staff members. PLEASE HELP! I think he's leading me down a merry path. It also has to be able to duplex fairly heavy graphic pages...and even the driver he accidently left as an option, won't print the graphics. I just KNOW you have a driver with all the options that will allow it to print to Windows 7 Operating System with all the former options. HELLLLLLLP!

I just bought a external 320Gb Western Digital Drive. I would like to use
the drive for windows and mac.I will not like to make partation on the drive
to use it on both operating systems. Is there any formating system with which i can use in both operating systems? I would like to use time machine feature on that drive also.

If you want to use a disk for both PC/Mac file storage and Time Machine, you will have to create two partitions. Partitioning is sort of like creating multiple virtual disks on the same physical disk. One partition should be formatted for PC (which the Mac can also use) and the other should be formatted for HFS+ (Mac only) which is what Time Machine requires. The Disk Utility application makes partitioning and formatting very easy.

X301 and Vodafone and AT&T Wireless WAN (HSPA) Driver for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit)

Ok, I (Lenovo) did it again.
System Update showed me this update: "Vodafone and AT&T Wireless WAN (HSPA) Driver for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit)".
As I'm using Vodafone and I had a AT&T driver, I decided to update.
The result is, that now the GPS doesn't work.
Yes, I'm in a place where the GPS signal is present (my house, with the previous driver I was able to get 6/7 satellites).
What happens? Lenovo TV GPS stays there trying to fix the satellites, but nothing happens. I can't recover the system to a previous state, as I updated Flash player too, and Windows only show me the possibility to roll back this update.
So, apart advicing everyone not to update, I kindky ask:
- where can I found the previous driver? I searched the web without success...
- why does Lenovo deploy driver which can cause problems (I just had one updating the BT driver last week! .msi installer problem, error 1935...)?

I've read in the past and toady some topics about the x-fi drivers and windows 7.
Due to the fact, that I want to install win7 64bit in the next few days, i just want to know which drivers I should use for my Elite Pro.
Currently I'm using XP and got no problems with the drivers yet, everything could be installed with the cd from my elite pro package.
So as far as I understood the topics correct, there are 3 option which drivers i could use:
. Orignal Creative windows 7 driver
2. Daniel_k support pack
3. Pax drivers
Can anyone tell me the advantages or disadvantages of these drivers? Important for me are the "gaming" utilities and THX for my 7. Teufel system.
Which dirvers should i use and work without problems?

Hello. I have a problem with my printer P1006. It works fine before with windows vista but when I upgrade it windows 7 professional last month. The printer doesn't work. I chat with HP customer service several times and they give me the same link and its not working and i didn't get any help at all. They told me to try it the next day and so on.... I've been trying to download since driver was released until today but its still lot working. I don't think there's a problem with my computer (HP dv5-1000us) because i'm using the same laptop on vista and it works before. I also tried to download the file on my desktop still didn't work. I hope somebody could help me fix this issue. Thank you.

Try this link, it replaces the ftp:// with http://. Some systems have settings that preclude using ftp links.
While calling HP costs $$'s when out of warranty, there are other support methods that are free. For some products support is available by email or chat. And of course there is always this forum, where other users may have an answer.
