Hi,
I've installed all Drivers on XP SP3, but i don't find the last one.
It's Bus Controlleur SM

If you can help me.

8086 is intel (nice joke, isn't it ?)
Probably you need the intel chipset package.
Yu can just grab it from the lenovo or intel site, or simly install the thinkvantage updater and let it work.

knows if it's possible to use 1.5?
Thanks!I can't imagine why not. They most likely have that list so that they can say we don't support 1.1.4 or something.
But I gotta be perfectly honest with you. That driver (from the messages posted here) seems to be a real piece of rubbish. Gee I wonder why that would be? I recommend (based on my personal usage experience) the jtds driver http://jtds.sourceforge.net/ Which is free, open source and also a type 4 driver.

  • New ThinkPad X201 won't connect

The Wi-Fi card in my new X201 is a "Thinkpad b/g/n" mini-pci card II"
I can't discern the manufacturer but someone said it's probably RealTek.
Running System > Administration > Hardware Drivers comes up with nothing.
Any ideas?  No one on the Ubuntu forums is responding, so far.
(Wish I'd gotten the Intel wi-fi card.)  The card works fine in Windows.
Anyone know where or how to get a driver for this?

    Here it is:
"Network controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. Device 8172 (rev 10)"
Know of a driver for this one?
I'm marking this as "Solved" because I just ordered the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200 card from Lenovo through a local authorized Lenovo Service Center.  They will be installing it for me.
I had the 6200 in my T410 (now sold) and I know it will work fine.
    Thanks for your reply.

  • Trying To Create Bootable Diagnostics for ThinkPad X201

I'm working on a ThinkPad X201 that spontaneously shuts down - no warning messages, no blue screens; the system just shuts off. Not only does it happen while using Windows (that's Windows 7 Pro, 32-bit), but it also did it while I was running memtest86, a generic memory diagnostic.
I've also tried SpeedFan to see if the computer is experiencing thermal shutdown, but SpeedFan has yet to register a temperature in excess of 50C, well below the thermal shutdown threshhold on most computers.
That said, SpeedFan isn't the be-all and end-all of thermal diagnostic tools, and irrespective of what it says, the computer did seem to be blowing very hot air the second time I ram memtest86. Before I go to the trouble (and my customer's expense) of taking the computer apart, making sure the fan and cooling channels are clear and replacing the thermal compound on the processor and other chips that the heat sink sits on top of, I'd like to run Lenovo's bootable diagnostics.
I loaned out my external optical drive, so for the sake of expedience, I've been trying to make a bootable diagnostic flash drive. Lenovo provides a utility for this, but I can't get it to work. Per the instructions, I downloaded the ISO file and the bootable flash drive utility to a folder, and named them diag-image.iso and bootable-generator-10.exe, respectively. I put a USB flash drive (a 32GB SanDisk Cruzer, USB 2.0 version) in a USB port, and Windows assigns it drive letter E:. From an elevated command prompt, I change to that folder, and run the command:
    bootable-generator-10.exe --create -l lenodiags -u e -f diag-image.iso
All I get back is the following error message:
    Validate bootable
    Failed to verify flags.
The bootable in E:\ is not valid.
    Can anyone assist with this?

The method for creating a Mountain Lion flash drive only required you to clone the installer disk within the application to the flash drive. Job over. No need for passwords. With Mavericks Apple provided a way to do it because the old method used with Lion and Mountain Lion doesn't work for the Mavericks installer.
Would have been nicer had they provided an easy application to do it, but they did not. So it requires the Terminal, they more or less hid the fact it was even there, and they provide no instructions for its use by less experienced users.

  • Lenovo Thinkpad 8 Wifi driver for Windows 10?

I've installed Windows 10 Technical Preview on my Lenovo Thinkpad 8. It's been working pretty nicely, except for one thing: the Broadcom Wifi card driver (Broadcom BCM4324 Wireless LAN Driver). Since this doesn't work I have to use a USB antenna.
This driver has gotten no update since the release of the Thinkpad 8! I tried running it in "Windows 8 compatibiliy mode" and that still doen't work. Does anŷone know of a possible way to make it work (either with an update, or an older driver in compatibility mode)? Any idea or suggestion (or word from Broadcom) is welcome!

I had the same problem and installed the Win 8.1 version of the driver.
First deinstall the microsoft driver, download the driver from http://support.lenovo.com/<xx>/<xx>/products/tablets/thinkpad-tablet-series/thinkpad-8/?tabName=Down...
replace <xx> by your language code. eg. en (my language code was de)
look for Broadcom BCM4324 Wireless LAN Driver for Windows 8.1 (32-bit) - ThinkPad 8 or (64-bit in case)
Start the installer and you're done.

  • Working Audio Driver for XP SP2 & SP3

I recently aquired a Lenovo converted Thinkpad... it was quite a hastle even getting XP to work considering all of the drivers required for the system required SP2 or higher for the most part to even be recognized.
Even with the automatic update function I have been unable to aquire a working driver for my sound card.  Frustrating to say the least...
The laptop itself is a:  2008-4AA
Everything in the driver menu trees for my system seems pretty generic and I've given all of the laptop drivers a try.  I was curious if anyone else had run into a similar problem when trying to run XP, and what they did to fix it...

    Hello,
please install MS KB 888111 and after that your audio drivers.

  • How Can I get v1.52 of "ThinkPad Power Management driver for Windows"?

The subject says it all: How can I get v1.52 of the "ThinkPad Power Management driver for Windows Vista, XP, 2000, Me, 98 SE - ThinkPad" driver? Since installing v1.53 I've been experiencing screen issues (screen goes dark, and it's very hard to get the screen brightness back to normal) that seem to be tied to my T40p entering sleep mode / turning off the screen.
I want to see if reverting back to v1.52 fixes these problems.

  • NVIDIA Optimus Display Driver for Windows 7 (64-bit) - ThinkPad

The display driver available at http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds029106 is advertised as being version 9.18.13.3302 / 8.15.10.2725, released on 5/20/2014, but what can really be downloaded from the URL (g5de45ww.exe) is actually a two-year old driver from 2012, version 9.17.10.2483 for Intel HD 4000. Does anyone know from where the current, up-to-date display driver for Intel HD 4000 in the T430 can be downloaded?

On lenovo blogs someone asked Russ Compton (lenovo employee) this question, see his reply below:-
"Q: Is this a software/driver update that can be applied to existing switchable graphics T410s models, or is there a hardware change which means it’s a feature of new “Optimus systems” only.
A: Amardeep, that is a good question. All ThinkPads shipping today will be Optimus enabled if running Win 7.. The current T410, T410s and T510 that are in the field will not be able to upgrade. The changes are the following: 1- Graphics Driver, 2- BIOS UPDATE 3- EEPROM Flash. So the hardware is not changing, but the upgrade to Optimus is not supported due to the EEPROM update that is required."

  • X201 multi touch driver for windows 8 x64?

    Hi
    I'm using X201 (3093-96G) and I'm testing Windows 8 Release Preview.
    The most is working fine.
But two things are not working:
    - multi touch
    - finger print reader
    Have anybody better experiences?
Are there driver for windows 8 already?
    thank you for any help

    Solved!

    FIXED IT !
I downloaded (from my backup, driver version 3.1.1.3, driver date 12.01.2011, but I did Win7 fresh re-install and fresh drivers in October 2012) the old win7 driver installation files ( that I used before win 8 upgrade) to C:\DRIVERS\WIN\MTouch, went to Device Manager and selected "unknown device", which I knew was the Wacom Tablet, because all other drivers are just fine and working.
then select - right cklick - update driver software... - browse my computer for updated driver software - and browsed manually to the directory C:\DRIVERS\WIN\MTouch, check Include subfolders and click NEXT !
A warning appeared that the driver is the correct one, but hw device can not be found, after restart multitouch is working !!!
In dev manager there was exclamation mark on wacom tablet but it WORKed and the pen as well !!
Now I tried the "newer" tablet driver from Lenovo (todays download), but Windows 8 REFUSED IT !!! sayin that it estimated that I already have the best driver for my device !!
Now I was able to procced the full install by running setup.exe from used driver install directory and I must restart windows now, lets hope it still works after reboot

  • Where can I find NeoMagic video driver for Thinkpad 600 ?

    Hello,
Can anyone managed to find the video driver for Thinkpad 600 which is NeoMagic NM2160 ?
    Thanks,

Actually the best place is the web site for the printer. You'll also need the model, but there are still some OS9 drivers out there.
You must supply the printer make and model for people here to help further.

  • Can not find driver for Thinkpad T500

I can not find driver for Thinkpad T500? Could you please help me?
Moderator edit: Matched Subject to content.

Thanks to the folks at Kepware. I was able to get this working for CompactLogix L32E.
Step 1: In NI OPC Server Create a new Channel. Channel Name can be whatever you want.
Step 2: Device driver will be ControlLogix Ethernet.  You can also enable diagnostics if you want.
Step 3: Network adapter. I used default setting.
Step 4: Write only latest values.  Duty at 10. ( These are default settings and are recommended.)
Step 5: Finish new Channel setup
Step 6: Click on Icon to create new device
Step 7: Device Name can be whatever you chose.
Step 8: Select Device Model in this case CompactLogix 5300
Step 9: Device ID For me was IP Address XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX,1,0    (Note the 1 directs path to backplane. The 0 to the slot where processor is)
Step 9: Device timing.  Leave at defaults.
Step 10: Auto demotion leave unchecked.
Step 11: Leave at defaults Do not generate on startup Delete on create and allow subgroups
Step 12: Port and watchdogs at default settings
Step 13: Project options leave at default. (In my case I changed to short as that is what most of my tags were)
Step 14: Create tagname from device.
    Step 14: Finish Device setup.
    You now have two options.
Option 1: Start creating tags as you need them. (This is what I did)
Option 2: Right Click newly created device and select properities.  Then select database creation and click auto create.
Go To Lookout  and create new driver.
    Select OPC Client
Server name will be from dropdown menu. National Instruments:NIOPCServers
    Click okay
You should be done and smiling.

  • Need larger capacity Hard Drive for ThinkPad T43 Product: 2668Y4F

Please recommend company web sites that carry compatible 80GB Hard Drive or larger capacity Hard Drives for ThinkPad T43 Product/Model: 2668Y4F. Lenovo apparently does not carry hard drives for older ThinkPad notebooks.
    Please advise. Thank you, Mark

PATA/IDE laptop drives have gone the way of dodo bird, for the most part.
    This would be my pick:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-160GB-2-5-HM160HC-Hard-Drive-Brand-New-PATA-IDE-ATA-for-notebook-lap...
It will throw a "2010 error" on boot, but will work perfectly nevertheless. I've used these drives exclusively prior to converting my fleet T43p units to SATA.
I'm NOT affiliated with the seller in any way. Proceed at your own risk.
    Good luck.

  • Graphics driver for a105-s4334 xp sp3 after reformat?

My laptop is A105-S4334 xp sp3. It ran google earth just fine before I had to get a company to reformat my hard drive and  they reinstalled stuff. They didn't reinstall the stuff from my original toshiba disks. they installed their own whatevers.
my function keys don't work like they used to, and there's probably other stuff that doesnt work now.
I reinstalled google earth, but it was the most recent version and my poor laptop could barely function. so i took it off and found an older version which i installed.
but when it came on it said your graphics card is deficient ( i think it said something about gl )so we must run in direct x mode. I never got a notice like that before my hard drive had a problem. and it is nothing like how it used to perform. it's horrible.
so i have been reading about which drivers should be on here, and there are conflicting info on the driver page here. if i go into my device manager I see mobile intel chipset 945 gm express. the current display software is intel graphics media accelerator driver for mobile.
but it seemed to me that before my hard drive died i had something like an ati radeon thing. I can't make sense of this stuff.
the drivers for ati, the nvidia and the intel all say they apply to my model!!! how can that be?
can anyone help me? do you need any other information?
