Driver Install Failure (Bluetooth Device: Broadcom BCM20702A0/Kinivo 4.0 USB Bluetooth Adapter)
About a week ago I purchased the Kinivo BTD-300 4.0 USB Adapter from Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Kinivo-BTD-400-Bluetooth-4-0-adapter/dp/B007Q45EF4). When I go into the control panel it shows up as a Broadcom device. I have ran the software available on the disk and installed it multiple times and downloaded drivers straight from the Kinivo and Broadcom website and installed both of those to no avail. I have successfully connected my phone with the device, but since then it has shown up with the troubleshooting symbol. I have also ran the Microsoft Fixit and HP Troubleshooter which both came up as a driver error, but when downloaded it would come up as "Driver install failed". I've tried all of these steps multiple time with the error everytime. Any possible fix or advice would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,
JJ H
Hello @leafgreen7,
I understand that you are having issues getting the Kinivo BTD-300 4.0 USB Adapter to work on your HP Pavilion HPE h8-1124 Desktop PC running Windows 7 and having no luck. As it is the driver that will not install I would advise you to contact Kinivo at their Support Site as they will have more specific information on what can interfere with their drivers installing.
I hope this helps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

Pavillion dv6000: "Device driver" install failure for DVD/CD drive
The laptop does not install the DVD/CD drive anymore. Message says the driver for this device failed to install. It is not assigned a drive letter in Win Explorer. Device Manager shows the drive as recognized, but has the yellow triangle/exclamation point...Properties says driver is missing or corrupt. Needless to say, I know of no "driver" for a CD drive (in modern machines, at least), and nothing related shows up in the driver list on HP webstie for this laptop. I did reinstall the chipset drivers as well as some other driver updates; no change. Re-seating the drive didn't help.
I also replaced the original drive with another, and got the same result...driver install failure.
Any solutions?
ThanksYes you need to remove upper and lower filters from the registry. Microsoft has a KnowledgeBase article about it with an autofix, but I have had better luck manually editing the registry:

Bluetooth device is not detected during installation of bluetooth driver
Hi , Initialy bluetooth was working properly, Few day ago I saw that there was no bluetooth icon in system trayas well as in list device manager. So I uninstalled the driver and try to install. But during installation it showthat bluetooth device in not detected and it exit.
Downloads the Windows 7 Hotkey Features. This will enable the wireless console with Fn+F5. Then you can enable bluetooth from there. Windows's built-in bluetooth drivers should work fine, maybe even with an update from WU if you're lucky.

Edit: Don't forget to download the System Interface Driver too. -

VM Server Install Failure - CD Device Driver
Hello,
While installing my bootable VMServer CD on a ASUS CM1831 Win 7 64 bit machine, I get the following error message: "Unable to find any devices fo the type needed for this installation type".
The available selected device drivers do not work either. It appears to be a CD driver issue.
(Note: This same CD successfully installs on a HP Laptop win 7 64 bit machine).
Any suggestions/work-arounds would be appreciated.
Thanks.Thank you for your input. I have spent considerable time with this and I was always suspicious of the hardware for the following reasons:
This dvd installs properly on a HP Laptop with no issues.
This is a new ASUS (CM1831 - 6 core)
After much effort I decided to do the ftp install.
I have verified that my ASUS WIN 7 64 can anonymously log in to my OL6 Linux box and access the CD files copied there
(eg using vsftpd /pub/vm311 directory I added in the anonymous directory) via a ftp command line on the WIN 7 64 box.
I see all the files when I am on the command line. However when I choose this method in the CD setup
and enter the ftp IP address and directory in the 2 fields - the returns to the same screen a couple of minutes later (with no error message - just a blinking cursor at the end of the FTP Server name/IP field - I tried this numerous times with the correct anonymous public directories being used.
There is no error message - just returns to the same FTP Server/directory screen with the cursor flashing at the end of the line.
If there was an error log I could check this would be helpful (I wonder if I used a READ/WRITE DVd would this install program write/log anything to the DVD).
Any different ideas/work- arounds would be appreciated. Thanks again for your input.

HP print driver install failure
I have been using a HP Photosmart 110 printer with my Toshiba Satellite for over 2 years with no problems. I had to do a factory restore to the computer and now the driver will not install. I have all the Microsoft updates installed. The HP disk
will not run and I have downloaded the newest version and the same results. The install dies after you start the setup program it starts to extract. When it reaches 100% it just stops and nothing is done. There is no error message displayed but in the log

Intel display driver install failure
Anyone else get the "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software" error when trying to install the intel display drivers? It's been happening to me for at least the current rev and one rev back of the drivers. I've tried many things, including booting to just integrated and just discrete graphics, etc. Nothing works.
i know some other folks have had issues in the past, but a lenovo moderator asked me to start a new thread on the topic to see if other folks were currently having the same issue.

all updatedAt least some 2764 models have switchable graphics. It might be that you should install the driver for switchable graphics and not the driver for notebooks that merely have the Intel GMA 4500MHD. The Windows 7 x64 driver for switchable graphics is available at:

I'm trying to simply install the Oracle 9 odbc drivers on winxp/win2k boxes.
First, you have to install the Oracle Universal Installer, which is actually called the 'Oracle Software Packager' on the downloads screen.
Next, with the OUI, install the ODBC drivers (9.2.0.4). The OUI throws several errors in a row, and wont install the drivers.
Some of the support documents say that the Oracle Net Client needs to be installed first. All I want is the ODBC drivers, which will be used by Access/Excel/Brio/SQLServer to connect to an Oracle db.
Do I actually need to install this other piece of software to get the ODBC drivers?
If so, where can I find such a thing? There is no such software listed on the software downloads page, but given that the OUI is actually called something completely different on the software downloads page, I figure it may be named something else. Can someone please point me at the correct location?
Thank you,
Andrew

If you go to download the database, there is a client only download option for Windows (the full database download has a client-only install option on all platforms). Be aware that even the client-only install is a rather hefty download.

Using Toshiba Servie Station 2.2.9 to download recommended drivers.
For any driver I get the following error message:
'The download of the following package failed: [package name]
Reason:
The resource loader cache doesn't have loaded MUI entry. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80073B01)"
Any suggestions on how to resolve?
Thanks
JBHi
Please visit the Toshiba driver page and try to download the drivers directly from the website.
I did it yesterday and installed some drivers for my new Satellite notebook.
Every package could be downloaded properly. -
HP Deskjet Driver Install Failure
trying to install drivers etc for new DJ 1510. Keeps failing Tried different ports for USB, tried without USB Not very impressed Any help would be greatfully appreciated W8.1 64bit
Welcome to the community ,
I will certainly do my best to help you with the installation failure, however, I am going to ask that you please let me know some more helpful information to help me research the problem for you.
Please respond to me with the following. If there are any steps here that you have not tried, please try them before responding and include the result in your reply back to me:
Have you tested hardware functionality (made copies) and do they work successfully?Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software? What Firewalls and Anti-virus software are installed?Have you tried disabling or uninstalling them?Run the Print and Scan Doctor and include the results.Did you make any recent changes to your set up (physical move, upgrade, downgrade, new software installed, new router, etc)?Is the printer plugged directly into the wall outlet (avoiding power bars and surge protectors)?Have you completed all Windows Updates?Do you see any error messages or codes, and if so, what are they saying and where do you see them (computer or printer)?

Bluetooth device\drive goes missing
Hi,
I've just bought HP ENVY x2 13 detachable laptop. It was going fine for the first few days, I have a connected bluetooth keyboard that comes as part of the laptop/tablet.
suddenly, the keyboard stopped working and after looking here and there I noticed that the bluetooth is completely gone from the device manager, services, task bar, charm bar and every thing. It's almost like it's not there any more.
I restarted the computer and worked fine, then again stopped. I tried everything from re-installing the bluetooth driver to factory reset, put nothing worked.
I should mention that in the same time that the bluetooth device goes missing, I find "unknown USB device (device descriptor request failed)" i'm not sure but it's like there is a clash between bluetooth and other device/software.
Could you please HELP it so annoying. I'm thinking to return this PC backThanks Hany!
After hours of torubleshooting and reinstalling drivers etc. it's somewhat stable, but only after uninstalling "Intel Bluetooth 4.0" and leaving it uninstalled... Which seems to be related to what you discovered.
I'll keep the "Refresh" in mind in case I need it as a last resort.
I'm still very disappointed that I can't disable the touhpad and use an external Bluetooth/RF Mouse... But I guess I'll address that in another post.
Thanks Again! -
X230 Cannot connect bluetooth device
Hi All,
I know other people have posted similar issues but this one doens't match any other so I'll ask the community for help.
I have an X230 running WinXP, and I cannot find a way to add a Bluetooth device to the computer.
The latest bluetooth driver for XP is installed. The Bluetooth is enabled in the BIOS.
The Bluetooth icon is in the systray. It is Red.
All I can do is right click on it - it says "Bluetooth Device not found".
In My Computer, the My Bluetooth places icon doesn't do anything when I click it other than create a shortcut on my Desktop.
When I click the Desktop shortcut, it only runs a Bluetooth file transfer wizard sugessting Bluetooth is working.
I cannot find an add device bluetooth wizard anywhere. Can anyone help?
Thanks.
Solved!
Go to Solution.Hi,
Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
I’m sorry to hear that you are not able to use Bluetooth in your Lenovo ThinkPad X230.
Make sure that you have turned on the physical switch to turn on the Wireless connections.
Install hotkey drivers and turn on wireless connections using FN+F5.
Hope this helps!
Best regards,
Mithun.

Trying to get data from a bluetooth device using labview. Can anyone help?
I am currently working on a project to monitor pulse rate and need send the reading via bluetooth. My laptop is bluetooth enabled and is using a toshiba stack. I am new to LabView and need some help with this.
Message Edited by Iceberg D4 on 05-05-2009 10:58 AMYou can definitely do this using LabVIEW. Search for labview bluetooth on NIs website to look for articles and documentation with regards to this. One thing I noticed and would like to point out:
On Windows XP - LabVIEW works with Bluetooth devices that use the Microsoft Bluetooth
driver included with Windows XP Service Pack 2 and later. Refer to the
Microsoft Web site for Bluetooth devices that are supported by the
Microsoft Bluetooth driver. Most Bluetooth devices come packaged with a
proprietary Bluetooth driver. To use the device with LabVIEW, the
Bluetooth adapter must be using the Microsoft Bluetooth driver. A
Microsoft Bluetooth driver for Windows XP SP1 was also available. Refer
to Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 323183: Availability of Windows XP Service Pack 1 Support for Bluetooth Wireless Devices for more information about Bluetooth-compatible operating systems.
Have a look at the following:

How to communicate with third party bluetooth device using LAbVIEW
Hi
I am trying to communicate with a third party bluetooth device using LabVIEW, I am using a bluetooth dongle. I am able to discover the device and able to open the connection by specifying the service as serial port. But after that when I am trying to read and write data between LabVIEW and the bluetooth device (using Bluetooth Read & Bluetooth Write functions) its not happening.
Dose anybody faced same kind of issue if so kindly guide me, this is first time I am using Blutooth protocol.
Regards
VisumanHi,
I am able to talk with bluetooth / serial devices by using Labview protocol (not Wii dll). These are steps:
Discover the bluetooth device in range (Bluetooth dicover.vi)
Get the address of the device
Pass device address to Bluetooth RFCOMM Service Discovery.vi to get service list
Pass channel and uuid to Bluetooth open connection
After that do write and read (Bluetooth Write / Bluetooth read).
I hope it works for you.
Take care
