I continue to get the following warning the instant I turn on my computer:
The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device ACPI\HPQ6000\3&21436425&0
Windows 7 64-bit SP 1. How can I fix this?

Could you please let us know the make and model number of your HP Computer? This error message seems to be related to your HP 3D DriveGuard driver.

Please upload a copy of your system information file. Click "start" , type "msinfo32" , Click "file" at the top of the page, select "export" and give the file a name and click "save" .
Navigate to where the file was saved to, and upload the generated text file to a public folder on your OneDrive account and post the link here.

HP ePrint from excel add-in: Error while getting driver name for printer

Trying to use add-in for ePrint from excel/word I get, "error while getting driver name for printer \\...HP DesignJet 800PS 42 by HP," with an option to select "OK" and that same message repeats with each printer in our network, and then it doesn't allow me to print using the add-in. However, I can print normally to HP Go Web, open up Print and Share, then print it from there. This happens with excel and word. I have Office Suite 2007.

Sorry you are having issues with this printer and the ePrint add-on. There are a couple of questions I would like you to answer please.
1. What operating system are you using? (XP,VISTA,7,MAC OS X)
2. What and how much data are you trying to print?
3. Have you tried to copy and paste the data into a different application or tried using the snip it tool?
4. Are you receiving any .dll errors (mscms.dll)

Hard Drive name changed on it's own.

On starting my Mac Mini this morning I noticed that the hard drive name had changed from "Mac HD" to "/" without any input from myself.
does anyone have an idea what may have occured ?

Try using GrandPerspective to see what's taking up all the space.
Also, make sure everything you don't need is turned off under Sharing; it's possible that you left file sharing on without a password and someone is taking advantage of that.
If you have a MobileMe account, do you have iDisk Syncing turned on? Or something similar if you have Dropbox or another similar service?

"revert" deleted hard drive name in disk utility HELP!!

I booted my wifes macbook pro 10.4.11 in target mode and connected it to my computer, macbook pro 10.5.6 and went into my disk utility to create a partition in the other computer. I used my disk utility from 10.5.6 because for some reason it got erased from the 10.4.11
so I started to do 2 partitions. It said there was not enough room so I clicked on "revert" and for some reason the name of the "macintosh hd" disappeared and I ejected the computer in target mode. Then when I tried to start it up, it just kept flashing a folder with a question mark. I booted again in target mode but still no "indented" "macintosh hd". it seems like it came unmounted maybe?
I have tried starting from x key, resetting pram, trying to load from install disc (which gets to the point where it asks where to install the OS and no HD shows up to choose) and even taking it to the apple store where they said the HD is damaged and/or corrupt. Before trying to reclaim the files, if I can, I wanted to see if anyone had this same issue and if it was solvable. I cant believe that I hit "revert" and it erased my hard drive name and it automatically made my HD corrupt or damaged?
PLEASE help anyone!
or if this is a lost cause, is there a good file recovery program where I can get my WIFES files back! Yeah, I am in trouble.

If anything can be recovered at all, you should quit using the computer asap. The more you use it the more OSX will write over those spots where the files were.

appearently every time i insert USB Flash Drive in a computer, windows assign it a different name
once "J:" and sometimes "M:"
Is there anyway to obtain USB Flash Drive name programmatically in Labview ?
Because in my program an user shouldn't be able to access HDD Drives except his USB Flash Drive (for inserting some file ...)

I was able to get the demo.vi to load, but it could not load the other two because there is no block diagram associated with those. I'm not sure why this is. I haven't had any issues with other llbs before.

What is the Acrobat 7 Adobe PDF printer driver name?

I can no longer print to my "Adobe PDF" printer.
I have Acrobat 7.1.0 (as part of Creative Suite 2) on my small travel laptop system running Windows XP Professional, SP3.
Recently, if I try to print to a PDF file from Firefox, I get:
"an unexpected error has occurred" or "an unknown error has occurred while printing".
I went to the Adobe PDF printer itself and if I try to choose the properties, I get "The Adobe PDF Converter' is not installed on this computer. Then it asks me if I want to install the driver now. If I say yes, it wants the driver name, which I don't know and don't see obvious candidates. If I say no, and I see the properties for the PDF printer, it says the driver is "Adobe PDF Converter", but I guess the underlying driver file is missing.
I found a posting for how to manually reinstall the printer on Acrobat 10, but my directory structure is different and I don't have a file called pdf.inf, so I suspect the driver name is different in Acrobat 7.
I can still launch Acrobat 7 just fine, and have tried doing the repair from the help menu twice, and rebooted afterward. No luck.
I didn't delete the Adobe PDF printer before the repair. I was afraid to.
I could go back to the original CS2 disks, but then I'll lose all the updates I've downloaded and installed over the years. I don't know if Adobe even has the updates for CS2 online anymore.
I suspect if I knew the name of the PDF printer driver in Acrobat 7, I may be able to fix it. Even if the file got deleted, I likely have it on an old backup.
Does anyone know the name of the ".inf" driver file for the Adobe PDF printer in Acrobat7 (CS2)?
If not, is there something else I can run from the setup files that will reinstall the PDF converter?

I cannot confirm, but feel confident that Adobe has the updates available for CS2.

I just looked through my XP system running CS2; I cannot see an easy way to reinstall the Adobe PDF Printer, but it is already installed there.

You will need an extra external drive. All moves must be done within iMovie to preserve your links to the projects.
First Move (command-drag) the event to the extra drive. Make sure the project still works.
Then rename, reformat, or repartition your drive as needed. Then, if you want, move the Event back to the newly named drive, again via Command-Drag within iMovie.

I tried the 32bitODBC test on the MSAccess database. Works fine. My loaded java program trying to connect with the database is still not working. NullPointerException runtime error.
Maybe the driver that I've loaded is wrong viz. sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver.
What is the correct drivername to be given in class.forname("driverName")?

what u've given as the driver name is correct. The NullPointerException comes because of problems with passing parameters from the front end to the database. It's receiving null parameter values. Check the parameters u r passing to the database. I think this will solve the problem.

Changed internal shared drive name, but other Macs see it as an old name

Hi evryone,
I have Mac Pro, and 2 Mac minis. Just updated all to 10.9.
This MP has a 2nd drive that sherd on my network. I just cahnged this internal drive name, but other 2 Mac minis still only see the old name.
Am I missing something? I tried many things, but it shows up with the old name.

How did you change its name, if you just changed it on the desktop it may not be enough. I found this article on changing the Macintosh HD name but it will be the same way for other disks.

Capital Drive Name For Boot Camp Disk

I have XP installed via Boot Camp, as a separate partition, so it appears on my desktop, however the name of the Windows drive is always in capital letters.

Not possible, AFIAK. The Windows disk is either probably formatted as FAT (if you can write to it without installing special software, it's FAT) which doesn't support lowercase letters for a drive name.

Well the first step for you is to look through your Windows documentation to see what the library call is to get the information you want. Can you find that and post what you find, and post the full signature of that library call (ie, arguments and return type)?
In other words, here's what you should do: Write a simple C program that gets just the information you are looking for. How that works is outside the scope of JNI, so it's outside the scope of this forum, but once you get that working, post some info about it and I'll explain how to get that linked in with JNI. Time Machine / Time Capsule duplicate drive names

Not sure if this belongs in Time Machine or Time Capsule thread, but here goes.
I have a 500GB Time Capsule providing wireless to a couple of MacBook Pros and an Apple TV.
Have been backing up 1 of the MBPs to the Time Machine internal disk (named TC internal) since January. All has been well.
With no changes to system or setup of any kind, 2 or 3 days ago I noticed the backup taking an endless amount of time "preparing". I stopped the backup and checked my settings. Time Machine Preference showed no oldest or latest backup dates. I clicked on 'change disk' to make sure my TC internal drive was still selected, and there were 2 listings for the same drive, both named TC internal.
I connected my MBP via ethernet to the Time Capsule, and let it run its course. The backup finished in about 45 minutes. Only when it was done, the backup drive was listed as TC internal-1.
Backups have progressed normally since then, but sometimes the drive name in the TM preference panel is listed as TC internal, and sometimes TC internal-1.
How do I get back to having the internal drive listed just once ?

FWIW, after poking around for some time, I found a way to do away with the duplicate drive in the list of available drives for time machine backup.
I turned OFF the ability to access my time capsule via the internet, in Airport Utility.
Lo and behold, the duplicate drive name went away.
