Driver not installe

My V Plus is detected under device manager/other devices but is not detected when i open window media player 0 or window explorer. I had read some threads here asking me to uninstall and re-install, but the wizard was unable to find the software for installation despite i using the installation CD provided by CREATIVE.
When i looking at my Device Manager/Other Devices/CREATIVE Zen V Plus, Properties tab, the device status reads
"The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver."
When i click reinstall driver, it goes back to the same problem the wizard is unable to find any software for installation.
pls advise.

Makes sense:
Windows XP Home, fully updated (auto updates)
Windows Media Player
Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra firmware 2.0.03
Driver: JB3MV2_PCWDRV_US__30_03.EXE downloaded from here.
When I run the driver at two points it says skipping file looks like dll but too fast to read. It keeps running and gives an "installation Complete" and tells me to reconnect the device for the driver to take effect.
I hook up the Zen and get new hardware found for both Zen and MTP device. The new hardware wizard runs asking for the software CD (I don't have it) . I pick install automatically, it searches, starts installing then fails:
"Cannot install this hardware/There was a problem installing this hardware/nomad jukebox zen xtra/an error occurred during the installation of this device/ A SERVICE INSTALLATION SECTION IN THIS INF IS INVALID"
then Finish.
Device manager shows nomad jukebox zen xtra under portable devices with a yellow backgrounded exclamation point. Double click and get:
"device: portable
manufacturer: standard MTP
Location: location 0 nomad jukebox zen xtra
Drivers for this device not installed (code 28)"
I reinstall, pointing first at "windows/inf" and then another try at "creative/jukebox3 drivers" folders both with the same problem of "cannot install this hardware".
I'm at a loss.
Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Bootcamp, ATI 4850 driver not installs on windows 7 x64.

Hi all, I need some help with ATI driver installation.
I followed Windows x64 installation instructions available
    on Apple page.
Here is how I installed Windows 7 x64:
    1. Partitioning - went fine.
    2. Windows 7 x64 Installation - black screen issue encountered.
    3. I prepared usb drive as described on apple page - didn't work
Black screen again - I rebooted several times with no success.
    4. I removed atikmdag.sys- according to description found on the internet.
    5. Then I was able to complete installation.
    6. Installed Bootcamp 3.0 from MaxOS CD
    7. I was asked for reboot - I confirmed.
    8. Black screen again!
    9. I repeated point 4 (atikmdag.sys removal) and then
was able to login to Win7
    10. I installed Bootcamp 3.1 for windows 64 update.
    11. I was asked for reboot - I confirmed.
    12. Black screen AGAIN!
    13. I repeated point 4 AGAIN (atikmdag.sys removal) and then
was able to login to Win7
    14. I tried to repeat unistall/install of Bootcamp 3.0/3.1
several times with the same result:
    A). Install Bootcamp
    B). Bootcamp asks for reboot
    C). Black screen issue
    D). manual atikmdag.sys removal
    E). go to A.
I also tried ATI Catalyst drivers installation but there is still Black screen issue and driver is not really installed.
Also I executed Windows Update and tried to install ATI driver
from there, but its installation fails!
I have iMac i7 8GB RAM - just got it two days ago and can't it really use with Win7
    I'll appreciate any help.

Plug in another monitor this will fix the problem. windows/apple (one of the two) turns the mini port in the back into the main output. once you plug in a new monitor the install will continue and the drivers are updated of the apple disc will will be able to unplug the monitor and everything should be ok.

  • Satellite L750: WLan LED is OFF / Bluetooth driver not installable

Hi, can anyone tell if this is known issue or not.
    This is "Out-of-the-box" condition.
    1) the rightmost wireless communication indicator lamp is always off regardless the status of internet connection. Typically, wireless internet connection is not detected upon boot-up, therefore FN+F8 and "All-on" step is required till I get internet connection be established.
    2) In this situation, if I try to switch on Bluetooth (for me to be able to use Bluetooth mouse), it starts installing Bluetooth driver but is terminated in the half way saying that "Bluetooth can not be powered on, turn on button on the side of the unit"- obviously there is no physical button or switch on my laptop corresponding to this statement.
To make matters worse, if I try to update BIOS to the latest version, the file contains trojan horse virus (as of 3 Dec 2012, 10pm, New Zealand time) and I was unable to update.
I updated the third party wireless lan driver (64 bit) but it doesn't seem to fix the problems.
    Thank you
    Please can anyone help me?

    Hi
What system are you using? Win 7 or Win 8?
Using Fn + F8 switches the Wlan and BT on and off.
Using Win 7 you can enable and disable WLan or BT but using Win 8 the FN + F8 would disable Wlan and BT at the one and the same time.
I have no idea what WLan card you have but I think that one module contains WLan and BT functionality. So if you want to install BT stack you have to install firstly the Bluetooth filter (i.e if you have Atheros Wlan card you have to install Atheros BT filter BEFORE BT stack).
It looks like the unit is from Australian so I recommend checking the Toshiba AU driver page to get all the drivers

    Hello,
I am trying to connect Crystal 2008 to Data Federator however I am getting the Error
    Failed to open connection.
    Details: JDBC Driver not found.
The JDBC Drivers are installed and working for the Universe Designer, however I am unable to get it working for Crystal. I am using the following connection parameters on Crystal:
    Connection URL: jdbc:datafederator://<<servername>>:3055/<<catalog>>

Any Advice on what I may have missed?

The issue was solved, thanks to Patric Wan:

  • How to deal with the "driver not installed" message?

My issue, and it seems many others here have it too, is how to install a printer driver in the face of the "driver not installed" message.
In my case, it's an HP4160 Rendevous printer. I've deleted the com.apple.print files in the Library, reinstalled the software, made sure that BDC package, or whatever it's called is installed, even downloaded and run the printer fix software from Fixamac.
    Nothing works.
I have the feeling this isn't a printer or driver-specific issue, but is an OS problem. Does anyone have a suggestion?

It appears the Deskjet 4160 will not work with an Airport. Connected via USB, the driver installs normally and the the printer appears to run just fine, although I haven't done much with it yet.
It simply will not work on a wireless network through an Airport. Frustrating, but workable by bringing the laptop to the printer.

  • Advanced Format Hard Drive not recognized by HP DV6000 Controller

    Hello,
I have an HP DV 6000 laptop (6276 I think, I'm at work can't check) that came preinstalled with a Western Digital 160gb 1.5gb/s 5400 RPM drive (Vista) that failed a couple of weeks ago.  So i bought a Western Digital 750 GB WD Black SATA III 7200 RPM 16 MB drive to replace it. I read about people having some problems with Advanced Drive Format hard drives not being recognized by their controller, but also read that depending on the controller and specific Dv6000 model laptop they had-one wouldn't run into problems.
Well sure enough, when attempting to install Windows 7 I received the error that the hard drive was not detected. After researching online I came across an article on WD's site that noted
"Our SATA II hard drives use autospeed negotiation. This enables our SATA II drives to automatically detect the motherboard data transfer rate, making it backward compatible with SATA I data transfer rates. However, some older SATA I controllers are unable to support autospeed negotiation and cannot recognize the drive. This “drive not detected” condition occurs when a chipset is incapable of correctly negotiating the data transfer speed with a SATA II hard drive."
my drive is a SATA ||| but I'm pretty sure it's the same problem.  The site goes on to say a fix would be to  "purchase and install a third party PCI or PCI-Express Second Generation Serial ATA controller card for your Serial ATA hard drive(s)."
    My question(s) are.
1)Is the problem that I am trying to install a Sata ||| hard drive on a laptop with a controller that will only recognize SATA | hard drive?
    2) Or is the problem that the hard drive is an Advanced Drive Formatted hard drive and I need to buy a hard drive with out that specification?
    3) Or Should I buy a SATA controller card as WD suggests on their website and if so will this definitely allow my laptop's controller to recognize the new hard drive and proceed with the installation?
4)Or Should I just return the hard drive and buy a SATA | non Advanced Drive Format hard drive? (question 2 basically)
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi @jasmine00
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.
I certainly understand your issue with the drive upgrade. Unfortunately it is a bit of the nature of notebooks, the sacrifice of a large amount of upgradeability, in exchange for compactness and portability. Whenever a new technology comes out, older notebooks are never really going to be easy to upgrade, it at all. Normally the unit as a whole is tested with a set list of hardware, and only those items are supported.
That being said there is this document that could be helpful with your problem.

You either have a mechanically or electronically failed disk drive or else your Operating System (I an presuming it is Solaris on that SPARC system) is completely mucked up.
If it is the OS at issue, you will need to install everything fresh.
If it is the 18GB disk drive, you will need to replace it and install everything fresh.
Either way, at some point you will have to go get your OS installation media and install everything fresh. The solution is not that difficult to understand.

  • Solaris10 x86 lot of  "driver not attached"

I downloaded and installed Solaris10 on my x86 system. Installation process occured without any error. But my ethernet adapter does not work.
After prtconf there was a lot of devices without driver attached to it. In fact, there was attached driver only to display adapter, IDEcontroller, FDcontroller, USB UHCI controller(I use USB keyboard and mouse).
How can I attach driver to device and how/where can I found proper one? All my hardware I found in HCL, some of it only in part "reported to work"
I have no experience with Solaris.
    Any suggestions? Thank You!

    Hello,
Thanks for the very helpful suggestions. But I need to know why I see os error 49 as below.
    SQL> ORA-01034: ORACLE not available

       A) SVR4 error 12: not enough space
       B) SVR4 error 22: Invalid argument (you are trying to increase SGA and

What does potentially cause shmat() to be failed with os error 49, "Protocol driver not attached"?

  • Reader 9 Acrobat PDF Printer Driver Continuously Installs

Since I have installed Reader 9, the Acrobat PDF Printer Driver Continuously Installs in the background degrading system performance. Does anyone else have this problem? It auto created a System Restore point, so check that. I am running XP with all patches applies.

    Hi Mike,
I have exactly the same problem that you describe. At first I thought it might be malicious software that was installing a fake driver, but after running Malware, Spybot and some other programs, I'm still left with the problem. I have a lot of Adobe software installed (Adobe Premiere Elements 7, Adobe Acrobat Pro 8, Adobe Audition 3, Adobe PhotoShop 7 and of course Adobe Reader 9, plus as you indicate Adobe Air and Acrobat.com I'm not sure when my problem started, since I only recognized it when I went to do a system restore. It appears to install the driver about once a minute. This leaves me with about 3 days worth of useless restore points.
The only advice that I have received is to un-install all my Adobe stuff, then check the System Restore, then one by one re-install the packages checking each time what happens in the system restore.
Have you found any solution since your original post?

I had the same or similar problem after installin iTunes 11 on my Acer Laptop with Vista. The new iTunes ran but I
completely lost access to my CdRom/DVD drive. Error Code 19 was displayed in Windows Device Manager. Found out
this is more widespread of a problem than expected.  After trying several forum recommended fixes, the Only thing that gave me back my CdRom drive was doing a Windows Restore to a date prior to iTunes 11 install.  I got my drive back but it also restored me to the prior 10.0.7.21 vers of iTunes which no longer worked due to missing files. iTunes help
recommended a Reinstall.  I am reluctant to do that for several reason.  That's where I am at for now until I find out if there are any other risks for using iTunes 11 vs. Registry Errors vs. Losing access to my CdRom drive.  Brad

  • How to setup x2 sata W/D Raptor drives not using raid

    Hi all,
I am new to this forum so please be kind.
I have just got myself this NE02 board along with 2 W/D Raptor SATA Hard Drives.
I have seem many instructions in these groups about how to configure sata drives using a raid configuration.
What I am looking to do is basically install 2 Raptor SATA drives not using raid,
And also have 2 ide cdrom drives.
Can someone please come back with a nice simple if that can be done! configuration on how i can best achive this.
Many thanks for all your help.

In bios under Integrated Peripherals, On Chip ATA Operating Mode set
    Native Mode
    ATA Configuration - SATA only
    SATA Keep enabled - yes
    PATA Keep enabled - yes
    PATA channel selection - both
Configure SATA as Raid - no
Read the raid thread at the top anyway, as you may want to install the drivers during the XP install in case you change your mind later.
Also, during your Windows installation, just connect a single SATA drive untill you are up and running.

  • Urgent - No 64bit Promise SATA driver (not RAID)

I'd already installed XP64 on an old PATA drive without problems, so today I decided to use the new VIA SATA drive to dual-boot it off my SATA drive, along with my main XP32 installation. Unfortunately, although it found the VIA driver at F6 and got to the GUI install it locked solid at Devices. Worse than that it's totally screwed all the boot files so I now can't get to anything on either the SATA or PATA drives, and blue screen on any attempt to boot either drive. That's 4 OS installs gone.
I moved the SATA over to the Promise controller thinking I'd seen 64bit Promise drivers for weeks, but it seems these are only RAID drivers and are called "Promise FastTrak 378 (tm) Controller". Needless to say they don't find a single SATA drive. What I need would be the driver called "Promise SATA378 (tm) Controller" but I can't find it. Have Promise really released a RAID driver but no single SATA driver for the same controller???
If I don't find it I guess I'm looking at 4 days spent formatting and reinstalling.

    Hi Jocko
OK, I'll try explain (and remember!)
First I installed XP32 on the lone SATA drive. No problem as it was the only drive.
Then I added an old PATA drive, which BIOS and Windows Setup always sees as Disk 0 and the SATA as Disk 1.
I then installed XP32 onto the PATA drive. No problem, I think it was because Windows saw it as Disk 0 as it put the MBR in the right place.
I then put Server64 and XP64 on the PATA drive to test them (leaving by day-to-day install safe on the SATA drive. Again, no problems, it updated the MBR correctly to let me multiboot between the 3 OSes on the PATA drive.
I then tried to add an install of XP64 to the SATA drive, but because I left the PATA drive connected, Windows setup updated the MBR of the PATA drive instead. On subsequent reboot it failed because it was pointing to the wrong drive (I think). So I had half an install on the SATA drive, and a boot.ini on the PATA which pointed to a non-existent half installation. Even with BIOS listing the SATA drive as the boot device, each time the PC restarted it tried to carry on the installation and of course failed.
That's when I had to refer to my book on Recovery Console...
So it seems that if multiple drives are installed, it will update the MBR on the lowest ID drive, which is not necessarily the drive the installation is actually going on to! I think!

  • Boot device ....my cdrom....... Ffile and args:  Drive not ready

    Hi,
I have a problem: I try to install Solaris10 on a sparc 250 and if I type boot cdrom an err "Drive not ready".
    What does this err means?
    Thx.
