And I have noticed a very annoying problem. every time I put the computer to sleep and I "wake" it up, it gets a bluescreen and states the message: "DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE" What do I do? I really need som help, since this is a great pc but this is just too annoying when you are going in highschool.
Operating system: Windows 8

hi emilosterby12,
Can try to:
1. Download and install BlueScreenView and post a screenshot of the results here.
2. Run Windows Update to get the latest patch and bug fixes.
Let me know your findings
Cheers

I got a Lenovo Ideapad S510p Touch in December of 2013 and it worked completely fine up until last month. I'm starting to get more and more DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE errors, and I've looked up countless ways to fix it but none of them work. I've tried not putting my computer in sleep mode, and that worked, until today. I haven't put it into sleep mode at all, and anhour after starting it up it gave me that error. I made sure that my headphones were unplugged before I started the machine as well (I heard that sometimes it doesn't like headphones for some reason). I'm honestly getting frustrated with all these "solutions" not working and how everyone just says "Update your BIOS!" because this laptop doesn't require a BIOS update, according to the Lenovo website. I'm confused as to what my problem is. Please let me know if you have a fix for it. Thanks

Use this to view your past bluescreens. If you can export the log, and then upload it here or somewhere else in attachment (in zip file).

  • Re: ideapad U410 DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE

    Hi Guys,
Just got my U410 Touch and I am having frequent BSODs. I am no expert when it come to reading error logs, so I am hoping some people here can lend a hand. I have linked my 3 most recent minidump files which hopefully will lend a hand to working out the problem.

I recently installed Win 8 Pro not realising all I had to do was copy the activation key to gain access to features. Even since I have had 101 problems re installing drivers that were installed. Bluetooth drivers being one of them. Hope that gives you enough information to help!
    Thanks in advance!

    ****EDIT****
These problems started to appear after I installed Kaspersky which I have no uninstalled, then used the Kaspersky uninstall tool to finish the job, could Kaspersky still be the problem? I have just run sfc /scannow which seems to completed with no errors.

This sounds like a problem resuming from sleep.  Try updating the latest version of the power management drivers from the Lenovo support site.
Did this always occur since you had the system, or only starting after something else?
If you try hibernate instead of suspend, do you get he same result?

  • Disk Utility Accident & Weird Symbol In Owner Name In Get Info

Recently, I was trying to troubleshoot some error messages I was getting with Carbon Copy Cloner, the source of which revolved around a mysterious file in my Shared folder. This file wouldn't delete no matter what I tried, so while searching for answers I heard that repairing permissions might help. Well, I forgot to read the message at the top of Disk Utility when I opened it. You know, the one that tells you that Disk Utility cannot repair permissions on a disk with open files or an on your current startup disk. Well, I ran disk utility without booting from the OS X install disk first. That probably explains why it made a bunch of changes to permissions.
Well, as I was about to close Disk Utility, I realized what I'd done, and I figured that it was no big deal. All I had to do was boot from the install disk and then run Disk Utility again, and it would repair the permissions the correct way. At least, that's what I thought. Then, when I did so, Disk Utility didn't make near as many changes as it did the first time. And, because I didn't realize until too late that I might need the output from the first time I ran Disk Utility in case something went wrong (i.e. I needed to undo any of the changes it made) I didn't even try to save it, if that is even possible.
Of course, this all didn't seem so bad. I thought that maybe the reason Disk Utility didn't make so many changes the second time was because some of the changes it made the first time really did need to be made, and thus that's why they weren't undone when I ran it again. However, I knew some thing was wrong when I tried to get info on a random file on my desktop just to verify that the owner was correct and everything. As soon as I either clicked or hovered over get info, I got the little rainbow spinning wheel for a second or two, which never happened before. Then, when I clicked the Ownership and Permissions triangle in the Get Info panel, I noticed something amiss. In the slot where the file's owner was supposed to be displayed, which should read "myusername(me)" the slot instead displayed some east asian character where my username should have been. So far, that, and a longer delay for the Get Info panel's appearance are my only symptoms, but I'm worried there may be further reaching repercussions to my system that I haven't discovered yet.
So, I guess what I'm asking is, based on my symptoms, can someone figure out what they think is wrong, and then possibly help me fix it. I don't know technical terms, but is it a corruption in the file that holds all the names of the users on my system? Is there a cache or preference file somewhere I can trash or edit to fix this. Or can I run fsck to fix this? Or, if it is a corrupted file like that I may have copy of it. I didn't mention it above, but Carbon Copy Cloner did manage to clone pretty much all of the folders on my hard drive in alphabetical order on an external firewire drive except for a few of the last few hidden folders and my Users folder.
Anyway, thanks in advance to everyone who takes the time to read this post.

    Hi ailurous,
I run repair permissions all the time without first booting from the install disk. It works fine. On the other hand, attempting to Repair Disk without booting from the install disk will not work.
I'm thinking something other than faulty permissions is causing your problems..
That being said, I'd suggest booting off your install disk, running Disk Utility, and selecting First Aid>Repair Disk.
If it says that it couldn't repair the disk, just keep running it until it gives you the Disk Successfully Repaired message.
Let us know if this helps or if you get some error messages.
    Bob

  • Filename problem while invoking process (com.adobe.idp.dsc.RequiredParameterException)

    Hello,
We have a working process that's being triggered by an email endpoint.
For every PDF attachment that is being sent to a specific address, 1 instance of the process is being started.
    This works fine.
However, when the filename of the PDF attachment contains "special" characters like é, è, ù, á, ü, ... the process fails.
The server.log contains several errors saying that a required input parameter (the pdf) is missing...
I tested with "éa.pdf". In the server.log I see that "éa.pdf" has been changed to "éa.pdf".
    All help is very welcome...

    UPDATE
We have installed a new UTF-8 database (Oracle) because the original database was not a unicode database.
Now the process starts, we no longer get the errors in the server.log
But now the parameter that contains the mail attachment (pdf) is empty.
For a normal pdf (no special characters) the parameter is not empty.
When we change the endpoint by changing the input parameter mapping from *.pdf to * we are able to
receive the attachment in the input parameter.
The reason is that the filename (ex. éa.pdf) is being changed to something like "=?ISO-8859-1?Q?=E9a=2Epdf?=".
Hereby *.pdf does not match and the parameter is empty.
By changing the endpoint we are now allowing all types of attachments. (ex. xls, doc,..)
    We only want pdf documents.
In the proces we can get the documentname by using getDocAttribute(/process_data/@inPdfDoc, "wsfilename").
Since this returns "=?ISO-8859-1?Q?=E9a=2Epdf?=" it's not clear what kind of document this is.
For é.pdf, "=?iso-8859-1?B?6S5wZGY=?=" is begin returned (not even the letters "pdf").
Does anyone know a way to solve this?
Does anyone know a way to get the type of the attachment since the documentname is not a solution...

  • Error setting up OSB tutorial

    Hi,

  • No "purchased by" or "account name" in Get Info display

The first song I purchased from the iTunes
store works fine. When I use "Get Info" to
see the details there appears to be corrent
information for the "Purchased By" and "Account
    Name" fields.
Every other song I have purchased since then
does not display anything for "Purchased By"
or "Account Name" in the "Get Info" display.
The header appears to be missing or corrupt
in all of these files. None of them will play
when I click them and press play, I get no
error or sign in prompt, nothing...
I have about had it with the lack of response
I'm gotten from my emails to tech. support.
After 3 days I got a message that said I should
look for the files on the hard disk. Its clear
that they did not read my email and they have
not replied since, that was about 3 days ago...

  • Task-flow ADF security on Standalone WLS

    Hi,
    Jdev 11g
I have into the main adfc-config.xml 3 links one to a jspx and 2 links to 2 different bounded task flows.
I applied ADF security depends on Roles to the three links, one on the jspx itself (on the pagedef) and 2 to the Task-flow.
All is working perfectly on the embedded WLS.
When deploying the application to a standalone WLS and applying the security migration as explained (system-jazn-data.xml verified and security is migrated) I have only the jspx working and for the 2 task-flows I have an Authorization check failed exception.
I always think that it is a migration problem but seems not because the jspx is working depends on the right Role.
Any idea what can cause this and why the ADF security is working only on jspx page and not on the task-flow after deploying to a standalone WLS?
    Thanks

  • DIO Pass or Fail Tests: LabVIEW would have to determine the expected result or results (1 or 2 of a possible 25) based on the output pattern send out (1 of 65K).

I am trying to come up with a plan to write a LabVIEW VI to do the following test. Can you give me a few ideas how to do this in LabVIEW. I am a new to LabView. I think I how to read and write I/O ports and do comparisons. I need a little guidance on the error checking. In simple terms the test will go like this:
I have 16 digital inputs and 16 outputs.
The 16 outputs are turned on in a specific pattern (i.e. 1001000101011101) and then the 16 inputs (i.e. 1000101111111111) are read in after a time delay. The inputs are checked to see if they match the expected results. If they do it's a pass if not it's a f
ailure. This seems pretty straightforward. And I think I have an idea how to do it. Here's the problem. The inputs are changed sequentially so that all possible combinations are tried. The test needs to determine if the resulting input pattern is correct based on the outputs that were sent out. 16 outputs give 65K possible tests. For each tests there would be 1 or 2 possible results with a total of 25 results for the entire 65K possible tests. LabVIEW would have to determine the expected result or results (1 or 2 of the 25) based on the output pattern send out (1 of 65K). Then it would have to compare the actual input pattern received to see if it's a pass or fail?
Any ideas how I can approach this?

The 16 outputs are simulating inputs to the device under test, (simulating remote switches and contacts). The object of the test is to test every possible combination to ensure that nothing unexpected happens at the output. The device under test is a logic motor control system and we want to make sure (among other things) that we don’t start or stop the motor when its not suppose to. How can only two tests do that?
I think you are describing how to create an array with the results. But I still don’t know how to determine what the result should be and if it is correct.
I’ve identified 25 possible valid states the motor controller can be in.
I’ve also identified the correct outputs that determine each of the 25 states.
    I’ve also
identified the possible valid states you can go to from each (previous) state, You can only get to a valid new state from a previous state if the right combination of inputs is applied (we hope).
If you know what state you are in when start and you know the valid states you can go to and the inputs required to get there, you should be able test the system against that. You verify this by checking the outputs against what they should be. With 65K possible inputs combination, checking them all manually would be quite is a task. Putting this into LabView is my task.

  • Configuring Watch Folder Problem - LiveCycle Reader Extensions ES

    Hi all,
I am totally new to this process.
We bought the LiveCycle licensed version 8.2 installed in Linux machine.
LiveCycle PDF Generator ES and LiveCycle Reader Extension ES alone.

    1. Configure the LiveCycle Reader Extension ES.
    2. Create Watch folder concents for comment enabling purpose.
I have created an watch folder using the Services-->Applications and services-->Archive Management-->Samples - Reader Extensions - ReviewAndCommenting 1.0--> Configure.
The the configuring ReviewAndCommenting, "Security" tab "INVOKE_PERM" --> "allows Invocation of all operations on the Service", was checked.
    Setting-->Trust Store Management-->Local Credentials-->update Credentials--> Reader Extensions Credential

  • Oracle BPEL Designer - Javascript Error ?

    Hi,
I'm just beginning with BPEL, so I installed on my Windows XP SP2/Eclipse 3.0.1 platform the Oracle BPEL Process Manager, as well as the BPEL Designer. My problem is when I try to edit a file using BPEL designer, I get two errors:
    - first one : onError: Objet attendu (=Object required)
    - second one : util.log4js.error : bpelz trapped at 434: Objet attendu (=Objet attendu)
I think it has to do with the editor BPEL Designer tab, on this one I can only see the "Loading ..." picture, and not the diagram I see on the Oracle tutorial, but I can see the xml in the BPEL source tab.
Can you help me with this ?
    Herve

    Hello Edwin, Michael,
I had been trying to get the pm designer working also and infact i have tried it on 2 different machines (both xp home sp2 and xp prof sp2), i get the same errors as described by other people in this topic, i have tried with eclipse 3.0 and also 3.0.1 and i have tried all the combinations with the pm designger and manager...i get the same errors...bpelz.html trapped...and then the ailure to log the error as log4j is not configured properly(this is complained about in the pm debug console...looks like eclipse plugin has the jar as org.jakarta.log4j..jar while the name the one looked for is org.apache.log4j..jar, i might be totally off though as these are exactly the same except for the name and putting the required one manually in eclipse plugins doesn't help.
Anyway...it would be great if u can help with getting the process designer working on xp pro sp2, the process manager seems to work fine and seems to support all bpel constructs

  • Power on Plug Support - Mac Mini

    Hello all.
I was wondering if anyone knows how to implement a power on plug feature with the intel based Mac minis. More specifically, I am trying to get the Mac to automatically turn on after a power outage when power is restored. Many LCD TVs and monitors have such a function.
Is there a way to do this with the Mac?

Thank for the help and nice find!
If anyone is trying to get this functionality using solely Windows, you will need a program call WPCRSET to set the appropriate register on the Intel 82801GB ICH7 controller hub. Mac OS automaticaly sets the register during boot, but Windows does not. WPCRSET install a system service that sets registers during Windows startup. I have tested it and it works on Vista.

  • Stateless Vs Stateful - Codegen Just Like Ghost

    Hi all,
    Does anyone encounter such error?
Every time we have this error, we got no idea at all.
Sometimes it disappaer itself, sometimes it comes.
The solution just finally repack everything from the bottom up using
    deploytool.
This time, I have one old EAR running well.
I put an updated an EJB class in /APPS/ and then restart server.
It works well. (Note : No EJB method signature change)
But if I pack the class into the old EAR using deploytool, the error
ocurrs when running the application. Everything others keep the same.
I have tried using ANT to pack the EAR from the bottom up.
The error still exists. Modifying the GUID of the EJB
    doesn't make any better result.
We have report the "Stateless vs. Stateful - Codegen vs. Propertie"
to iPlanet support very earlier. The answer is official,
"Try to cleanup the application in the registry or repack"
ps. Every deployment I will use kregedit to check whether the registry
    deleted
    or not first.
    Any ideas greatly appreciated.

  • Alternate Conversion Channel

On a previous post, It was recomended that I use
the "Alternate Conversion Channel" setup as per
    http://ims.balius.com/downloads/AlternateConversion.pdf
I just seem to have trouble getting it to work. After applying
the settings, The IMS does not change its
behavior at all. Did I miss something?
No messages are going to the tcp_scan channel.
    I am using 5.2 Patch 1.
    Thanks

We did that, and the config dat file seems
