Drivers "865XP55.exe" question
hi:)
two days ago i went from my mobo (845E Max rev 1.0 - MS-6566) page on msi.com.tw to drivers section and found that there was file called "865XP55.exe" to download, and MS-6566 was on the list of supported mobo. An hour ago i wanted to install it - when the install prog greeted me with words "intel extreme graphics driver". What is that?!?!? The name of file suggests that its written for 865 series, so why my mainboard was on the list? Any clues?
Thx for answer in advance
Can't help. This is very strange. What version of Windows did you install?
The only thing I can say with any confidence is that your original install DVDs (Tiger, I assume) will not help at all, since Tiger disks do not have any Windows drivers. In fact, Windows will most likely complain that the Tiger disks are unreadable.

CT4760 drivers and firmware questions. PLEASE HE
I've searched the board and read the FAQ, but if the answer to my question is there, I
didn't recognize it. I have SoundBlaster Li've! Platinum installed in a Windows 98
machine. I am going to do a clean install of Windows XP Pro and have looked for the
drivers in SoundBlaster support. As near as I can tell, every package there for
Windows XP requires that a PREVIOUS package be installed; I can't seem to find a
starting point. I want a bundle for the driver and the accompanying Li'veWare. Any
help would be much appreciated. The download for the SBLi've! family under Widows XP includes everything necessary, it is stansalone. Li'veDrvUni-Pack English.
It includes the Surround Mixer and AudioHQ I believe. The rest of the software that was available under Windows 9x is not available under Windows XP. -
Drivers for g700 questions.
So, last time I tried getting updates for my graphics cards for my g700 laptop from sights other than lenovo, NVidia and Intel respectivly, it crashed my computer and I had to do a fresh install of Windows 8.1 after talking to support. I ddint have a problem with it for a while as the Drivers on the Lenovo websight were fine, but I can tell that they are getting out of date now when attempting to play games. I will have capablities that should be able to run the game on medium, but I have to run it on low and still get <20 frams a second and often dip into <1 a second.
I was wondering if getting updates from Nvidia would kill my laptop again?Hi,
Welcome to Lenovo Community!
I’m sorry to hear about your situation and let me inform you that the best option is to install the graphic drivers available in our support website to avoid conflicts as it is tested on the specific model and the released on the website.
Do post us back for further queries.
Best Regards
Shiva Kumar

T42 Windows XP Pro - ucgather.exe Question
I boot my T42 (1.2 GB) 2 to 3 times per day. About once every week or two during the startup sequence the processor is driven to 100% for a minute or two. According to the Task Manager the offender is python.exe. In looking further it seems that ucgather.exe (which runs during each boot) uses a python routine called pdtcomp.pyc (developed by Paul Plaskonos of IBM) that claims to be a byte compiled version of pdtcomp.py. I kill python.exe when this occurs; but it is annoying. My questions are: is Lenovo using the information gathered on each boot by the IBM ucgather program and is there an elegant method of discontinuing the startup run of this program if no one is using it? ... or alternatively is pdtcomp.py availble?
Tom D.HI Sou,
The product key on the bottom of your notebook is specific to the OEM version of VISTA that was supplied with your noteook. If you have installed a different OS then you will need to use the product key that came with the OS that you have installed. This will normally be supplied either in the CD itself or on the packaging.

Chipset drivers and dxdiag question
I have an athlon xp 3200+ on an MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR with one meg of Mushkin PC3200 ddr running in dual channel, and a Radeon 9800XT. After installing the newest chipset drivers after downloading them from the nvidia website (nforce2), I noticed that under the System Devices heading in my dxdiag file some of the components show n/a. Does this mean the driver for each of these components showing n/a did not get installed? If so, how do I correct this?
Sorry. It was late and I should have been in bed.

CM 13 / Infomaker / generatepdf.exe question
Hey All,
We're moving the database location of our CM13 app and we're having a problem with printing/print preview. It's my understanding that parameters are sent to the generatepdf.exe program when previewing and I can see these parameters in the .xml file it creates. But where do these parameters come from? I've redeployed the jdbc datasources and the rest of the app works fine. I've changes the settings of the ODBC connection originally used by Infomaker when designing the reports (keeping the same source name but pointing to the new SID), I've re-imported the forms and reports but for some reason or another the report still tries to use the old parameters pointing to the previous database location.
Any suggestions on how I can tell generatepdf.exe to use the new database location?
Thanks,

If you make changes, restart the CM service and try again. -
Yo, does any1 know if is any open source/developer software that's objective is to open .exe files on a Mac. The only one I could find was Darwine, but the software is still in its very early stages and doesn't do the job...
TIAAn .exe is a windoze program. It won't run on a Mac. Well, actually, if you had an Intel Mac you could install boot camp and windoze expee, boot into expee and run the program. Since you have a PPC Mac, your only real option if you want to run windoze programs is to install VPC.

MSI graphic card, 71.89 drivers and DOT - question
Hello,
I'd like to ask you about something. I've got a MSI GF 6600 DIAMOND card and installed 71.89 drivers right from NVIDIA, but I'd also like to use D.O.T, which AFAIK only works on MSI drivers.
So, is there any possibility to force using DOT with 71.89 drivers?
Thx for help!
TomaszJust put this files included in the MSI drivers in the windows system (c:\Windows\System32\ or c:\Windows\System\) directory
msicpl.dll

RAID drivers (SATA48.EXE)
Hi today I tried to install a fresh copy of Windows ME and Windows XP on my KT4 Ultra BR system and it seems the latest drivers 1.0.0.19 do NOT work when installing Win XP: it simply does not recognize your raid controller Fasttrak376, instead the driver disk comes up with something like FasrtrakLite 133 and therefore it won't be recognized (Fastrak 376 should show up). Tried it both in XP and ME .. ME is unable to find a suitable driver in the win9x-me folder. Good news is the older drivers supplied on disk DO work in my situation
Looks Like somebody made a mistake when packaging the files. The packed the drivers for the FastTrak133 Lite, which comes on the KT3 Ultra ARU. Hopefully somebody at MSI corrects this quickly.. I would highly appreciate it.

Make sure you have your PATH set. See my last reply in this thread for information on how to:
http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp?forum=54&thread=297555
Use javac to create a helloWorld.class file
Then, from the DOS prompt in the directory that contains helloWorld.class, enter "java -classpath . helloWorld" with the spaces and the period. Should run.
My other post will lead you to information on how to set the classpath, if you so desire. -
Windows Update installed the drivers for the wrong sound card?
I need serious help with this one.
It all started October 31st when I find that Windows Update lists an update for my sound card - a Sound Blaster Li've! 24bit internal card. I install it, reboot, and realize that my sound is not coming through the speakers (Note, sound was working before I installed this update. I'm not even sure if the sound card is processing to it). I realized that Windows Update seemed to have installed the drivers for the wrong sound card. It installed drivers for "SB Audigy" (it was originally SB Li've!), why they chose to be so generic - I don't know. I later find out that not even Creative's website has this updated driver, but apparently, only Windows Update is issuing this out.
But wait, it gets even more frustrating.
So I don't have System Restore enabled (big resource hog), and I need to go back to the older drivers. I originally do a driver rollback using the Device Manager, which made the drivers go back to what they were before - but still wasn't outputting sound. I think even though the older drivers were being used by Windows, the software that Creative issued wasn't picking up this fact and thought I still using the newer ones for Audigy. So I decided to uninstall everything and start with an actual driver installation executable from Creative's website (SB24_PCDRV_LB__04_0090.exe). What I found out was that if new drivers are detected, I can't actually install over them.
However, if I uninstall the drivers using the Device Manager, it'll automatically install everything - the control panel, the preferences, drivers, etc for the new "SB Audigy" drivers that were issued Oct 3st once I scan for hardware changes. The reason I need to scan for hardware changes is because if I uninstall the drivers from the Device Manager, it'll remove the instance of "SB Audigy" from the list. This causes problems for the installer for the older drivers (SB24_PCDRV_LB__04_0090.exe) because now it thinks there isn't any hardware to install the drivers for (all because I haven't made the Device Manager actually discover my actual sound card, yet unless I press "Scan for Hardware changes" which as a result, will install the newer drivers from Oct 3st automatically. I hope this makes sense so far).
So now I can't uninstall the newer incorrect drivers so I can install the older ones for the actual sound card. Normally I heard that you can change something in the new driver's installation executable to properly uninstall everything. Only problem is, Windows Update doesn't exactly tell you where it's downloading the driver/hardware installation files. I know in the Software Distribution you can find Windows Update stuff downloading there - but I couldn't find the SB Audigy driver update it keeps installing while "scanning for hardware changes" in the Device Manager.
This was incredibly hard to put into detail, so I hope that it makes a little bit of sense. If you need clarification on anything please let me know and I'll do anything to help eliminate the problem. Just remember I have:
Windows 7 x64
Sound Blaster Li've! 24bit
I think the only problem I'd like to solve is - how could I install older drivers if Windows keeps installing the newer ones even after I uninstall them? Because right now, I can't do much unless I know how to get rid of the installation files for the Oct 3st update so it won't have anything to use. Another way to rephrase the question is, how could I get the Device Manager in Windows to display my soundcard as "Multimedia Audio Controller" for as long as I need so I can run SB24_PCDRV_LB__04_0090.exe which will then detect that there is a sound card that can use the drivers and install them properly?
Thanks for your help guys, I hope we can solve this. Because I've done everything I could. Hopefully I don't need to reinstall the operating system just so I can have sound working.Click on Start> ALL Programs > Creative > Creative Audio Console.
Make sure speakers are set to 5. if that's what you're using. I like to Synchronize with Windows Control Panel. Turn EAX to No effects, and/or turn effects to 0%. On the CMSS 3D Tab, turn the Mode to OFF. -
Hp HD 2200 Webcam lagging, can't find drivers for it
Hi, I have a Hp HD 2200 webcam and it lags really badly and doesn't seem to be outputting full 720p (as advertised). Thanks in advanced
This question was solved.
View Solution. When the camera is purchased, a driver cd is in the package.
You should install the drivers from this disc.
I've looked online but cannot locate any official drivers.
Many questionable websites ofer drivers in .exe files that I do not want to go near my computer and that I do not suggest you do either.
So unfortunately the only solution is getting the CD's from HP.

How did I get these drivers during OSD task?
Hi,
On my OSD task deployment, I have Drive Packages for each model that we support. I also have a WMI condition query for each driver package. For example, install HPDC7900 driver package only if the machine model is 7900%.
Now, I have a machine model, say DC7800 that's no where in my driver package, but when I image this model, it gets 90% of good drivers.
My question is, where am I getting the drivers applied to this machine if my driver packages are pretty much set to only apply on certain models?
Here's some portion of my smsts.log

Missing Drivers - Downgraded from Vista Home to Windows XP Pro SP3 - Lenovo 3000 N100 Notebook
Hey,
I have a lenovo 3000 N100 as well and recently downgraded to Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3.
However, I have a lot of hardware drivers missing (yellow question mark) -
1) Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus
2) Base System Device (listed thrice so I'm guessing there are three separate drivers needed)
3)Network Controller
4) Video Controller
5) Video Controller (VGA Compatible)
I have no audio or wireless either. Lastly, I have spoken to lenovo and they asked me to download some drivers from lenovo.com. I did and also downloaded every possible driver for XP on the lenovo site but still had no luck.
I would really appreciate any help/guidance you can offer. I have exausted all resources at this point.
My email is xxxxxxxxxxxxx so feel free to reach out to me there as well.
Thanks a ton.
Kabir

2.08.0002 Beta Drivers will not install on Audigy 2 Platinum
I am attempting to install the new beta drivers (SBA2_PCDrvBeta_LB_2_08_0002.exe) to gain OpenAL support and better Battlefield 2 performance but I have not been able to. Upon installing the drivers, the system will freeze. I have left it for over an hour, and it remains frozen. On occasion, the installation would work, but then would freeze after I log in again after the reboot. Only way to recover is to reboot in safemode and remove the drivers.
I have tried removing the old drivers entirely (and cleaned the system with Driver Cleaner Pro). I have also tried extracting the driver set and letting windows do the installation, and I have also tried running the secondary setup.exe installer in the driver directory. I also tried changing my video driver, in case that was causing a conflict. Each installtion instance began with all of the Creative-related drivers cleaned by Driver Cleaner Pro.
I checked my msinfo32 and there are no IRQ conflicts or sharing related to the Audigy 2. Overall, I think I have attempted this installation about 5 times.*bump*
Any ideas guys?
