LabVIEW only comes with drivers for NI gpib cards. You'll have to contact the manufacturer of the card for drivers. If this is a ComputerBoards product, they are now called Measurement Computing.

  • Need documentation for writing GPIB drivers for RTOS-32 using Borland C 5.51

    Greetings,
I need to develop GPIB drivers (using the NI GPIB card) for the RTOS-32 operating system (by On-Time). I am using Borland C 5.51 as the compiler. I am looking for info/examples on writing/porting low level drivers for the GPIB. The examples I have found come with the low levels drivers in an object file which you link in, but nothing on how to write the low level drivers.
Any pointers on what documentation/examples that I should look at would be greatly appreciated.

  • GPIB-PCMCIA drivers for windows ce?

May i ask if there are any drivers for windows ce or pocket pc 2003? i want to connect my pocket pc using gpib-pcmcia connection.

    Hello,
At this point in time, National Instruments does not make available a GPIB-PCMCIA driver for any Pocket-PC device. If you have a need for this driver, I would encourage you to let our developers know by going to www.ni.com, clicking on Contact NI, and submitting a product suggestion.

  • Are drivers for LabView 5.1 only supported by the later models, 6.x and 7.x?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm confused by your question. Are you talking about hardware drivers (NI-DQ, NI-GPIB) or instrument drivers? You should be able to use current hardware drivers with older version of LabVIEW and you can (in most cases) use older hardware drivers with new versions of LabVIEW. For instrument drivers, NI only maintains LabVIEW 6 and 7 versions on it's Instrument Driver Network but I'm pretty sure maintains an archive of older versions if they exist. If you have a specific instrument driver that you need, make a request on this forum. NI might be able to provide an older version or someone can save it to a previous version. One or two probably won't be a problem but numerous requests might be a little out of line. At some point, you might want to consider a
n upgrade. There have been numerous improvements since 5.1 and upgrading is usually not a major problem.

  • Looking for LabVIEW drivers for Aritsu MS462XX VNA?

I'm looking for LabVIEW drivers for the Anritsu model MS4623D Vector Network Analyzer?  Have gone to Aritsu's site and downloaded their tools but no LabVIEW source found.   The other thing is whether anyone's developed LabVIEW interfaces to theirTools (Navigator or Power Tools or SCE)???

    Hi,
Unfortunately, we do not have an instrument specific driver for this Anritsu model MS4623D. Here is a link to the drivers we do have for Anritsu. We may be able to get communication to your device threw another means. How does your device communicate? For example is it GPIB or Serial. We may be able to use an NI driver and a programming manual for your device and communicate with it in LabVIEW threw this.

  • Is there any labview drivers for Spirent 5500 wireless channel emulator

Spirent 5500 currently doesn't have GPIB capability despite the connector on the rear panel. It is controlled via .net from a laptop. Labview drivers needed.

    Clarification:
National Instruments would like to receive driver requests for all instruments that do not have drivers available on ni.com/idnet. Each request is being added to our instrument driver request database and considered for development. We try to develop instrument drivers according to popularity. Unfortunately, we cannot develop instrument drivers for all the requests we receive.
If a customer would like to try developing his/her own instrument driver, we have documentation, model instrument drivers, and driver templates to help him/her in development. This information can be found on our web site: http://www.ni.com/devzone/idnet/development.htm

  • Drivers for Analog Devices RTI-815

    Hi,
Does anyone know where I can find Labview drivers for an Analog
Devices RTI-815 card, if they exist?
The card came out of a Haake Rheocord System 90. The old
controller for it is a 286; we'd like to replace it with a newer computer
and software written in Labview. Thanks for your help.
    -Nathan

Hi, thanks for the responses.  I did a search on the 815 and 802, but I must admit, I neglected to search the forums for the AC28.  All 3 cards are still available (although AD has discontinued their cards UEI manufactures replacement units)  The company I work for has these cards in several test rigs, and I'm looking at options of modernising the PC & control software without incurring the cost of a complete control system retrofit (the current control software is DOS based).  In view of performance & accuracy it probably makes sense to upgrade the cards and signal conditioning, but In the short term that would be a difficult proposition.
We also have other test machines which use labview, AD 5B signal conditioning, and Siemens profi connected I/O.  Ideally if we were to look at a complete retro I would be keen to commonise as much equipment as possible.  However, while the current hardware remains available, and performs adequately It will be quite difficult to justify.
SSK: Also, I would be interested in the code that was you utilised, if you could dig it up that would be a great starting point.
Mark:  Thanks also for your post.  I'll look into the driver kit, and most likely ask NI if they would consider writing some drivers at some stage.

  • LabVIEW Drivers for Norma 5155 power analyzer

I have several questions concerning a GPIB LabVIEW driver for the power analyzer NORMA 5155 (NORMA is now part of LEM company):
1- Has anybody programmed a driver specially for this device so far ?
2- Is it possible to use other similar drivers (LEM/NORMA 4000..6000) for it?
3- How would you approach building a suitable driver? (Instrument I-O Assistent ...,)?
    Any answer could be helpful.
    Andreas, Germany

    1) There are no drivers for the 5155 at http://zone.ni.com/idnet97.nsf/browse/
(but perhaps someone beside NI has programmed a driver)
    2) The same type of instrument from the same company will likely have a similar command set. The drivers for the 4000 and 6000 are Plug and play driver and not IVI drivers, so modifying them would be easy.
    3) I would first call LEM tech support and ask what the difference between the commands sets of the the 5155 and 4000/6000 are. If LEM tech support is unable to give a good answer, then I'd try to get the manuals for the 5155, 4000, and 6000 to just compare the command sets myself. If they are very similar I'd just modify the old driver. If they are very different, I'd just make I/O assistant VI for each function in th
e manual, and I would have a low-level driver. Once you have this low level driver you can just combine functions to make higher level VIs.
    Hope this helps!

  • ISA GPIB card FS

Anyone have use for a brand new ISA GPIB card, at a sensible price?

How much is a "sensible" price? $100.00? $200.00? $300.00 U.S. Dlls?...Or something not so "sensible" as the price of a new one ($500.00)?

  • Labview drivers for Keithley 181 nanovoltmeter and Lakeshore DR-91C temp controller

    Hi,
I am looking for labview GPIB drivers for the following instruments.
    1. Keithley 181 nanovoltmeter
    2. Lakeshore DR-91C temperature controller
I will greatly appreciate information about the above.
    Sincerely,
    A.V. Mahajan

    Hello,
I just searched the web for both of these and was unable to find anything...I found a CVI driver for the Keithley 181 on the NI website, but I doubt it would be a simple conversion with the "Convert CVI Instrument Driver" utility in LabVIEW...it certainly wouldn't hurt to try, however. Anyway, I guess about the only option you have at this point is to contact the manufacturers of those devices and see if they have any un-published drivers...perhaps they're not supported, but it's better than nothing.
Good luck in your search. Have a good day.

  • "I am looking for LabVIEW instrument drivers for a PTS 160 Frequency Synthesizer

looking for instrument driver for PTS 160 Frequency Synthesizer

"Unfortunately I was unable to find a driver for this instrument at http://ni.com/idnet. This leaves you with one of a couple options. It may be possible to modify an existing driver to work with this instrument. Otherwise, http://www.ni.com/devzone/idnet/other. htm states a few options to obtaining a driver. NI only writes drivers for standalone instruments in the eight IVI classes(DMMs, Scopes, Function Generators, Switches, Power Supplies, Power Meters, RF Signal Generators, and Spectral analyzers) that communicate via GPIB, Serial, or TCP/IP, so a driver cannot be written for your instrument. It would also be beneficial to notify the instrument manufacturer, they often have drivers for multiple programming languages. If they do not, you may want to hire an
Alliance Member to write an driver for you.

  • Can't find drivers for ipod nano 8GB for windows vista HELP

I am trying to find the drivers for my ipod nano 8GB. I am running Windows Vista on my laptop. I have tried absolutely everything listed on this webpage and others. I have removed itunes and reinstalled it and still nothing. I downloaded usbstor.sys and usbstor.inf. I have gone into my computer and clicked on the ! next to my ipod in file manager and have gotten nowhere! This has been 5 days of frustration. I don't understand why apple would not just SUPPLY the software for the nano. I am beyond frustrated now. Can someone please help...

Something is going on with your Nano if Vista doesn't see it anymore. Did you use device manager and try to uninstall your Nano? Perhaps this will work. Once uninstalled, the next time you plug it in, Vista will see the Nano as a new device and install the proper USB drivers.
I'm not on my Vista computer right now...but here's an article to help you find device manager in Vista: http://kb.wisc.edu/page.php?id=5183

  • HP LaserJet P2035n Drivers for 64bit XP

So I tried to use the HP email and live chat support but neither worked because they said my p/n or s/n were invalid and I am pulling them off the printer itself.  The issue I am having is with a HP LaserJet P2035N.  It is hooked to the network and the driver for xp work the PLC5 ones.  I have one computer that is running XP 64 bit and when I go to download the drivers for it there are no network driver for the printer only local drivers.  I called the 1800 number and they gave me a website to go to that just redirected back to where I was.  Any advice?

The model number HP LaserJet P2035N.
    Method 1:
You may refer to the below links and use the troubleshooters. Check if it lists and helps resolve any issues: Open the Printer troubleshooter:

  • Anybody found Vista x64 drivers for nVidia GeForce 8600M GT (Macbook Pro)?

These guys at Apple are launching 64-bit Leopard and I still cannot find 64-bit graphics drivers for my laptop under Vista. It makes me sick. Their Boot Camp 1.4 vesion contains only 32-bit drivers.
It's the laptop manufacturer (Apple company) who are responsible for providing me with drivers, not the graphics card manufacturer (nVidia).
I have been waiting for 5 months already and will wait for another 1-2 months and if the drivers don't appear I'm going to sell the laptop because I simply cannot watch DVDs, I cannot play games without properly installed grahics card.
If you have the drivers, please let me know.
    Best regards.

first of all, I think apple will never really "support" windows 64bit...
    anyway
    try -> http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/
my vista 32bit works with the drivers from this page.
but u need to read the "Quickstart Guide" before you try installing the drivers
