  • Apple 's new drivers for Canon printers

Apple has just released new drivers for Canon printers. I have an i9900 inkjet printer which is not listed in the supported printers. Will the driver work for me or am I out of luck?
    Thanks.

The driver update is supplied to Apple from Canon, who has made the decision to end support for the i9900. They actually ended support several versions previously.
So to print from Mavericks to the i9900 you can download and install Gutenprint v5.2.9 which lists the i9900 as a supported device.

  • Why does the software update say that drivers for my printers are not available? I have the drivers installed from the CD but can't add the printer because it wants to go through software update.

I have the latest operating system, but can't get my printers added. Why does the software update say that drivers for my printers are not available? I have the drivers installed from the CD but can't add the printer because it wants to go through software update.

It's pretty difficult to offer suggestions when you say nothing about your Mac, the version of Mac OS it's running, or the models of printers you have. This forum, however, is intended for questions about old, pre-G3 hardware, so unless you are asking about an very old Mac, this is not the forum where you'll be most likely to get help with your problem. I'd suggest you ask this question in the forum for your model of Mac or version of Mac OS X it's running. You'll be more likely to get assistance there, assuming you provide sufficient detail for anyone to make a diagnosis of the problem.
    Regards.

  • How to get the drivers for Dell PowerEdge M620 in INF format?

How to get the drivers for  Dell PowerEdge M620.
    We tried downloading
http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/poweredge-m620/drivers but they are in exe?
How to get inf files for those?

As Jason pointed out, they can be extracted, I believe this can be done with 7zip also... Or you can just install one M620 from scratch, install the Dell drivers and then use this tool:
http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/ConfigMgr-Driver-Injector-aae7d17d to grab the drivers in .inf format.

  • Can apple provide drivers for older printers?

Can apple provide drivers for older printers?

That is/was my thinking. When I spoke to a Canon printer tech rep before submitting the question to the Apple Support Community he indicated that Canon no longer provided drivers for one of the older Canon printers I own but noted that some computer companies provide "mini drivers" for some of their printers. He may have been blowing smoke. But not all was lost. Additional research introduced me to a software company that provides printer drivers to the Apple/Mac community. The company is PrintFab. I signed up for the 30 day trial and will be paying for the permanent software version before the trial is up. My 15 year old Canon BJC-85 couldn't be happier and I do not need to get a new portable printer. And no, I do not have any relationship with PrintFab. I hope my reply is helpful to others.

  • Drivers for Barcode Printers

    Hi,
I'm currently working on trying to print a barcode from my MI application. Thanks to all posts found here, I was able to develop it. Now, when using the "emulation mode" in NWDS, I can see my barcode printed on the screen.
I'm now trying to print directly to the printer. The printer we have is Zebra QL420+.
I've checked OSS note 761833 which gives all printers drivers, but the ones specified for my printer are only for WinCE, or PPC or PDA... Nothing for "normal" computers...
Has anyone tried to install a PPC printer on a WinXP machine using the WebConsole ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Jonathan Tayar.

Dell printers made by Lexmark but they only support Windows.
Even Lexmark has very little support for Mac mostly for more expensive models only. I had a all in one Lexmark and found this out. You try and go into printer setup and try and force a lexmark driver to work.Worth a Shot

  • Where are the drivers for dell all in one B2375dfw

printer cuts off the wording at the top of each page, i have a mac1 osx system with a dell B2375dfw all in one printer

Note, Mavericks is not a Classic operating system.  Classic refers to Apple's operating systems 13 years ago.    I've asked this thread be moved.  If the new Dell doesn't work, refer to this set of links for compatible printers:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669
Apple provides updates to the printers on that link through these links by vendor:
HP, Ricoh, Canon, Epson, Brother,Lexmark, Samsung, and Fuji/Xerox

  • HP, Win7, and Drivers for Older Printers Of Course

Running  Win7RC 32 Bit just for compatibility testing.  My parents have a 5650 and I have a 5850 at home in the Deskjet printer series that have been great printers.  Maybe some of HP's best compared to my 600, 700, and 800 series of years past My 5850 is using the 5600 family drivers in Vista 32 Bit and works good.  Win7RC is another story BUT it is still considered beta ware.  The vast majority of answers in this forum concerning printer drivers state that everyone should wait til October 22.  I am asking if there is any hope for us older printer owners in receiving compatiable drivers or should we start looking for new printers?  I would imagine that the HP engineers have an idea of what HP products they plan to support and which items will be obsolete.    Windows 7 has a lot of anxious people ready to move up from XP and especially Vista.  I myself would like to be ready for Win7 when my three pre-ordered copies arrive in October just as many people here would.  Would be a shame to load a new OS and not be able to print anything.

By the way, the HP 6MP Laser Jet in my office works with my Win7RC notebook.  It is being shared through a server running XP Pro SP3 and received the driver from the server.  The Win7RC notebook is also able to print to our HP P4014n Laser Jet network printer OK.  I have a 882C Desk Jet on our network running on another XP Pro SP3 PC, but I have not tried connecting to it yet.

  • Drivers for Dell 1320c Color Laser

Can the drivers be downloaded? The Dell download site offers only Windows XP driver downloads for this printer. The Dell guy (sorry I buy Dells for my workplace) said it would work with a Mac if I downloaded the drivers.
    Thanks,
    Steve

To talk to a networked Dell 1320c Color Laser Printer using OS X 10.4 follow these steps.
Download the driver for the DocuPrint C525 from here: http://www.fujixerox.com.au/support/drivers/307
Double click the icon to install after it downloads. When the install is finished you can delete the installer.
From the Apple menu open *System Preferences* and select *Print & Fax*.
Click the + to add a printer.
    Select *IP Printer*.
Select for the Protocol: *Line Printer Daemon - LPD*
Type the IP address: 192.168.1.177 or whatever it happens to be assigned you network. +You may need a Windows machine to configure an IP address OR you can look at your routers DHCP table for where it was assigned. After you know this you can actually log into the printer from your web browser to change any settings.+
Name the printer "*color laser*" or whatever you'd like it to be.
    For *Print Using* select: FX
Next select *FX DocumPrint C525 A-AP v1.2* in the box below.
On the next screen +you must+ select *250 Sheet Feeder* is as an option. *Otherwise it will only manual feed.*
    Click Ok.
    Print something.
*Paper Source is not automatically selected on this printer.* It won't print unless you set it. This is found in the printer options called Printer Features. The paper should menu should be set to Auto or 250 Sheet Feeder.
Do a Save As... for the Printer Profile. So you don't have to check this every time the set that Profile as the Default.
*The steps for OS X 10.5* are nearly the same. The difference is that you don't have to download the driver from the website.

  • Windows 7 USB 3.0 drivers for Dell inspiron 13 7000

When I got this laptop (Model P57g, Inspiron 13 7000 year 2014), I got used to windows 8.1. I frequently went on windows 7 PCs and I realized how much better Windows 7 is. So I installed it on my laptop. I have not regretted it at all.
So far the only problem is; I can't get the USB 3.0 ports to work as 3.0 ports, they work as 2.0 ports.
I have tried the following drivers:
    Can anyone help?
I am not going back to Windows 8.1, but I will go to Windows 10 when it comes out.
    Thanks.

  • Drivers for Canon MF4150 and Epson SPR320 won't load (used to be there)

I recently reinstalled my system software for other reasons. Now, I can not print to the above mentioned printers because there are no drivers associated with them. I have downloaded and installed the drivers for both printers three times but the computer does not recognize them. Any ideas?

With regards to the Canon MF4150, the driver installer will add the files to ./Library/Printers/Canon/UFR2. If the printer is connected to the Mac via USB then the software should automatically select the correct printer model when you select to add it via the Default browser view. If the printer is connected to your Mac via some other means, then the UFR2 driver software can have problems with determining the printer model and will either add a generic UFR2 model or not create a printer queue at all.
Could you explain how you have the printers connected to your Mac?

  • No Drivers for Windows 7

Purchased new computer with Windows 7.  Have Photosmart 1115 and LaserJet 1012 printers.  As best I can tell, there are no updated drivers for these printers.  If I an correct, does that mean that these machines are history?

Go to the Devices and Printers folder in the control panel, select Add a Printer, select the appropriate port and then when the list of printers comes up click on Windows Update in the lower right portion of the page.  It will take several minutes for the list to update, once it does there will be many new choices.  The Deskjet 970cse/cxi and Laserjet 1015 will be listed under HP (not Hewlett Packard) once the list is updated.

  • Dell A920 drivers for Mac?

I have a dell A920 printer from my old PC, and although I have been successful in installing the drivers in my Windows XP partition of my intel bases Mac Book Pro, I haven't been able in installing it in the Mac OS X system. I have looked in the web and I have found that I am not the only one asking this question but it seems no one has a solution. I would be very grateful if I could use my printer with my new Mac OS...
Mac Book Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

If this is a non-postscript printer, you won't be able to print to it without using a PC as the postscript translator (RIP). Dell doesn't make OS X drivers for non-postscript printers, and no other workarounds have been found.
Here's how to use the PC as RIP server:

The drivers didn't load when I installed the OS. Dell does not have the drivers just a web patch avalible, and Creative does not have them ether. Daniel K.'s Audigy support pack 3.6 will recognize your DELL card and you get see the info here:
