  • HP LaserJet 1005 driver for Windows 8.1 x64

    Hello,
I'm unable to install the HP LaserJet 1005 series driver on my Windows 8.1 x64. Here is what I've done so far:
    - downloaded ljP1000_P1500-HB-pnp-win64-en.exe
    - started the installer program
    - it successfully extracted installation data into C:\Program Files\HP\HP LaserJet P1000_P1500 Series
    - (the printer's USB cable is not yet connected)
    - A pop up window appears: "Waiting for user to connect the device."
    - I connect the USB cable to the computer. The printer is turned on. (The USB cable is OK - verified on a different PC)
    - However, the installer is unable to detect the connected printer. The following messages are reapeatedly written into the installer's log file:

    - note that after connecting the printer's USB, the printer appeared in the Devices and Printers Windows view. However, when I click on Properties and Driver -> Hardware I get that no drivers have been loaded for it.
It looks like the program cannot find the connected printer it this is causing the failure. Here is a download link to the full log file: log.
I've also checked the following two threads which adress similar problems, but there is no workaround in there for my specific problem:
    - HP LaserJet p1005 windows 8 driver ?
    - Windows 8 driver for LaserJet P1005 printer?
Please advice on how to proceed in this situation. Please let me know if you need further information.

  • Hp laserjet 1005 series printer drivers

hp laserjet 1005 series printer drivers

This worked for me in windows 7 professional 32bit SP1. Fresh install. I like my printer, I have used it for many years under both linux and windows and I had no intention of throwing it away. I am pleased I have found a way to make it work, I would have surely never bought HP again otherwise.
How to make a HP LaserJet 1005 series work in windows 7 32bit
    1. download the printer driver HP LaserJet 1005 Host Based Driver v 5.51.2103.0 released 6 Oct 2003
Right now it can be found here: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?cc=us&prodNameId=214539&prodSerie...
    It is named  lj1005hostbased-en.exe - md5sum 428274e8060e830aeaf1acf06f10a398
    2. Extract the printer driver to a folder. (It is a winzip self-extract executable)
    3. Go to the printers page and "Add a new printer". It will ask you to select a port, but not an USB because USB devices are automatically detected. Scroll down and select "Virtual USB port" (not sure about the naming but you'll find it)
    4. In the installation of this virtual-usb connected printer you can say "I have the driver". Click on the button, point the printer dialog to the driver folder and select the .INF file in the directory (there are two, I used the first one). You will successfully install a second printer named "HP Laserjet 1005 series"
    5. Now right click the real printer, which has the same name but has the warning triangle because it needs "troubleshooting" - it has no associated driver. Select Troubleshoot. It will look for drivers. Skip looking online it is just a waste of time. NOW IT WILL FIND THE DRIVER YOU INSTALLED FOR THE VIRTUAL PRINTER. CLick OK.
    6. The danger triangle disappears, the virtual-usb printer with the same name disappears and you are lef with a printer named HP Laserjet 1005 series which... works!
    Cheers.

  • Printer driver for an HP LaserJet 1000 series for use with Windows 7

The CD ROM HP LaserJet 1000 series printer driver is not recognized by my new Windows 7 PC. So the printer does not work. I've looked on the HP web site for compatible drives and get the hint that a Vista driver would work. Can someone please confirm if this possible and how this is accomplished? Thanks.

Where did you find a hint that Vista drivers would work?  This page says:
Your LaserJet model is not supported in Windows 7.
For more information regarding upgrade programs and new product information, please visit the HP Trade-In/Trade Up website at www.hp.com/united-states/tradein/home_flash.html or directly from HP at www.hp.com .
Additionally, this page says the Laserjet 1000 is not supported in Vista.
If you are using the 32 bit version of Windows 7 it may be possible to download the XP drivers here and install them.

  • Hp laserjet 1000 series for windows 7

friend, I had a question for you, I have an HP LaserJet 1000 printer series but now I get a new computer with Windows 7, but do I not found hp 1000 printer drivers, pls send me the link or drivers ready

Yes - you can use the Laserjet 1000 with Windows 7. (I have two Windows 7 PCs printing to my LJ 1000).
Case 1 - (Easiest case)   If your Windows 7 installation is  32-bit  (How to check this)
Solution:  Provided by user jriv9 in this discussion
use HP LJ1000 XP HostBased Driver
Just installed it and it works perfectly.
    1. exe extracts to a directory of your choice.
    2. right click on printer -> properties -> update driver
    3. select to search in a specific location and select dir from step one.
Case 2 - If your Windows 7  is 64-bit and you have another PC on your network running Windows 32-bit (XP, Vista or 7)
Solution provided by user Los15 on this forum page.  I have tried this and it works.  I had to make one change - the port name had to be \\Computer Name\hp Laserjet 1000 DOS
Case 3 - If your Windows 7 is 64-bit and you have no other PC.
You can install the XP driver in XP Mode, and then install the XP driver as for a 32-bit machine.
Solution given by user erpp on this forum page.
    Alternative
On  same forum page as the XP Mode solution, another solution is given, using another piece of software called PDF Creator.
I'd just like to add my thanks to everyone who has contributed those solutions above. The LJ 1000 is a marvellous workhorse of a printer - the engineers who built it did a good job.  It's too bad HP didn't follow their lead and produce 64-bit drivers.

  • Install Failed for HP Laserjet 1200 Series in new Laptop with Windows 8, 64 Bit

Product Name - HP Laserjet 1200 Series, PCL 6 Driver
Operating System: Windows 8 Home Edition, 64 bit
Error Message : Can't find the 1200 Series on the Network. To locate manually click ok ....
Changes Made - This is an installation on new laptop, running Windows 8, 64 bit
    Description:
    1. Installing to an existing network, that consistedof a desktop and two wireless laptops.
    2. Both Laptops have Windows 7, 64 bit. Above named printer is successfully accessed from the laptops.
    3. Am replacing one of the laptops with the Windows 8 64 bit.
    4. The Series 1200 path is: Wireless Printer to Router, Router to Desktop via ethernet, Desktop to Printer via cable.
    5. The wireless printer configuration is
Name:  HP Laserjet 1200 Series PCL 5
            Port:     \\Central\HPLaserj
Printer: HP Laserjet 1200 Series PCL 5
          Driver: HPMCPM25.GPD   5.8.2008
    Problem
Unable to recreate this path with the Windows 8, 64 bit configuration.
    a. When I attempt to download a current driver always wind up with a file entitled UPD-pcl6-x64-5.6.0.14430
This appears to be a universal PCL 6 printer driver, Can successfully unzip the file and create a folder
    b. During installation I can see the the desktop printer ICON (name:\\central\HPLaserj); so far, so good
    c. Process fails to locate a driver and instructs to manually locate.
    d. Browsing to the HP Universal Driver Folders fails because a driver cannot be found .
    e. Attempting to manuall enter fails because you cannot input the above address (\\central\HPlaserj). Can only enter HPLaserj for the address, which obviously does not work.
    f. When the installation did show a list of drivers, the only one I found was a universal PCL 6, which is what I thought I was trying to download originally.
This set up worked successfully with the Windows 7 64 bit. It appears I need help from a lot more expertise than I have to walk me through this set up.

  • HELP! Problem using HPSCAN.exe or TWAIN driver for HP Laserjet Pro cm1415fnw using Windows 7

I have been using the HP Laserjet Pro cm1415fnw for over a year without a problem.  At the time when I first purchased the unit, I was using a Dell desktop with Windows XP and connected the printer via USB port.  I was able to print and scan from my computer, including from within applications that use TWAIN scanning driver such as Word, Acrobat, etc.
I have since upgraded to an HP slimline s5-1160 computer using Windows 7.  I installed the Laserjet software from my installation CD's without a problem.  The printer is connected to the computer by USB port.  I can continue to print without a problem.  However, I no longer am able to scan using the HP software (HPscan.exe) nor from within applications that use TWAIN scanning driver such as Word, Acrobat, etc.  When I attempt to do so, it takes a long time before it asks me what TWAIN scan driver to select.  When I select the HP cm1410 MFP series, the program either crashes or reverts to the state it was before I attempted to scan an image into a document from within the program.
I can however scan successfully using the Windows Scan and Fax wizard or if I choose "Devices and Printers" from the Start Menu and select "Start scan" from the menu after right-clicking the HP printer icon.  However this option limits my use of the scanner -- I cannot scan to a PDF nor can I scan multiple pages into an OCR application.  I'm forced to scan to either a JPG or TIF or PNG.
As for attempting to resolve this problem I have done the following with no success:
Uninstall and reinstall the full software and drivers (and using the most recent version on the HP website)
    Change USB ports and/or cables
Run the HP scan diagnostic utility, which seems to show an error at the WIA scanning step and then recommends that I uuninstall and reinstall the full software.  When I skip that and allow it to check for TWAIN scanning, it gives me a similar error, suggesting that I use the most recent version of the drivers (the driver that I am using is v 3.0 dated 11/12/2009)  Therefore in this case the HP scan diagnostic utility does NOT provide a fix for this problem other than uninstall and reinstall, which I have done several times to no avail
Contact HP support both for the computer and the multifunction printer (which as I understand are different support staff).  The printer staff claims it's a software problem and that the computer staff should be able to resolve it (something about not having "launchpad" installed properly.  When I contact the computer staff, they claim it's a printer driver issue.  So I am at a standstill
I researched the HP support forums only to find from this link - http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02661093&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=4089468&tmp... - that if you cannot scan from HP software that you can use the programs that rely on WIA drivers (Windows Fax and Scan) which I already know I can do but implies that HP does NOT have a solution for how to scan using their own software!
My gut tells me that this is one of those problems that many others may have but for which there is no workable solution.  It's possible that during the course of uninstalling and reinstalling the software, remnants may remain behind that prevent proper functioning of the drivers, but without knowing how to specifically "clean" those remnants before reinstalling the software, I am at a loss.  Oh and by the way, I've also tried using CCleaner and Norton Registry Cleaner in an attempt to clean those remnants, but that effort didn't help.
My question is basically this... does anyone know of a fix around this problem or must I resign myself to using the Windows Fax and Scan wizard to scan in documents and images and forget about using TWAIN programs as HP seems to be suggesting?  I would think that given that I am using an HP printer/scanner along with an HP computer with Windows 7 that this problem should NOT be a problem!
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

Before attempting to install the printer on my computer (HP slimline s5-1160), I had been able to successfully install the printer previously on two other computers: a Lenovo T-410 laptop (work computer using Windows XP) and an HP Pavilion Elite HPE (wife's computer using Windows 7).
On those computers, I can use the TWAIN driver from within applications without a problem, and the HPSCAN.exe file works as well.  Both computers connect to the printer wirelessly.
It is while trying to install the printer on my home computer via USB that I am having all sorts of difficulty. I have also tried to connect my s5-1160 to the printer wirelessly from my computer. I also checked the Windows Services, and all seems fine there.  I also tried switching USB ports and cables.   Again, no luck with the scanning using TWAIN driver.
One other point: when I use the original installation CD that came with the printer to install on the s5-1160, the installation seems to stop when it says "Checking requirements for installation"  That didn't happen with the two other computers.   However, that problem doesn't happen the s5-1160 when I used the more recent version of the full software from the HP website.
Let me reiterate.  I have never had any problems with printing from any computer.  The scanner works fine from my s5-1160 if I resort to using the scanner and fax wizard using the WIA drivers.  What I am unable to do is to get the scanner to work from within an application using the TWAIN driver or if I use the native HP application (hpscan.exe).  Nothing seems to happen.   Because of that I cannot scan directly into a PDF.
And the only fix that the HP scan diagnostic utility continues to recommend is that I uninstall and reinstall the software.  It shows errors in the WIA scanning step and TWAIN step.
Is it possible that because of behind-the-scenes Windows updates that my s5-1160 is receiving that a software conflict is created that prevents the TWAIN driver from functioning properly?  Other than that I am at a loss to figure out why this is happening.

  • Support for JDeveloper 10.1.3 on Windows Server 2008 64 bit OS

    Hello,
We are using JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0 (patch # 9879989) for R12.
Would like to know support for Jdeveloper on windows server 2008 - 64 bit.
    Thanks,
    Swati.

    Hi Swati,
Currently I am using Jdeveloper Patch#9172975 for R12.1.2 on windows server 2008 X64 and it works fine.
As Jdeveloper Patch#9172975 is lower version then Jdeveloper Patch#9879989, Patch#9879989 should work on Windows Server 2008 64bit.
Still I am not confirm about Jdeveloper Patch#9879989 on Windows Server 2008 64bit.

Yes, those are excellent materials. A lot of the material is covered in the DBA 1 & 2 courses, but not as focused and not as 'in depth'. I encourage that you write directly to Oracle University and ask them to upgrade the seminar. (Tell them I'd be happy to update/deliver it. ;-))

Not very good advise at all.  Very few, if any, XP drivers will work properly in Windows 7 because there is too much difference in the kernels!
