Drivers for HP Officejet 150 (mobile) will not install

I've been attempting to install a HP officejet 150 on a Mac air laptop that is running windows 7 (64 bit). Every time I try to run the installation program for either the full software and driver set OR the basic drivers it tells me that the computer has neither USB drivers nor USB ports, so it cannot install. Obviously the computer has these things. This happens even if I am trying to set up a bluetooth connection through the software as well as the USB connection.
Also, when I try to go through the bluetooth menu to install the device without a driver, it finds the device but cannot find appropriate drivers.
Has anyone heard of a similar issue? This is a real problem for me as I purchased this machine specifically for use with this computer.
This question was solved.

Hi,
Try following these steps and let me know if that may help:
1 )From Windows 7, type %temp% into the search bar and open the litsted Temp folder.
2) Locate and open the HP installation folder, it will begin with the 7z characters (e.g. 7zs1234)
Note: if  there are several folders locate the latest one.
3) From that folder fo open the Setup folder
4) Delete the usbready.exe file
5) Navigate back 1 level up to the 7z folder and launch the Setup.exe file to install the HP software.
Hope that may help,
Shlomi

MultiMedia Center for Think Offerings for Windows XP and 2000 -- will not install on Windows 7  in compatibility mode or any other way. I receive error " can not open \device\memory" and then " This program can not run on his hardware.
Thinkcenter E series 8291-ETU --- upgraded from XP to Windows 7 yesterday.
Any ideas on how to get this product installed in Windows 7 ?

I recently did a clean install of Win7 Ult on my X61 7676A24, and this is the only Lenovo software that I could not find a Win 7 solution for. However,
    1. I was able to load WinDVD8 upgrade (from Lenovo's Win7 information page) after first loading the WinDVD5 version that was the last good release for Vista.
    2. The Multimedia Center for Think Offerings is basically Roxio's suite for writing cd/dvd's, drag to disc and so on.
Since I could not load this anyway, I was forced to try out Win7's inbuilt cd/dvd writing - it works perfectly well.  Even better, Win7 natively supports an excellent ISO burning tool. So, I think if you explore these inbuilt tools, you can probably live without the Mul Cent for Think Off.

Follow the onscreen instructions, making sure to proceed all the way through the installation without canceling or exiting any screen.
    Note
Do not connect the USB cable until you are prompted, or an install error may occur. Also, if your software is still not finding your printer over the USB connection, review the following USB tips.
    + USB tips
Ensure that your USB cable is no more than 5 meters (16.4 feet) in length. (For best results, use a cable that is less than 2 meters (6 feet) in length.)
Try connecting the USB cable to a different USB connector on the computer. (For example, if you plugged the cable into a front USB port, try plugging it into a port in the back.)
If the USB cable is connected to a USB hub or a docking station for a laptop, it could cause the installation to fail. Even if you believe that your USB hub works fine, try connecting the USB cable directly to the computer during the device installation (when prompted). You can always move it back to the USB hub later.
If you need to use a USB hub, use one that is externally powered instead of using a non-powered hub.
When the installation completes, try using your printer.
    Turn your printer on.
If you are using a USB connection, disconnect the USB cable from both your printer and computer (if it is currently connected).
Reinstall the software using the CD that came with the printer, or download and install the latest version of the software for your printer from the HP web site (recommended):
Click here to go to the HP Support & Drivers web page.
Select the option to download drivers and software, and then type the name of your printer in the search box.
For example, type HP Photosmart B211.
Follow the prompts and make selections to display the software and drivers for your printer.
When prompted, select the appropriate version of Windows, to view the driver download and CD ordering options.
    Tip
If you're not sure whether your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit, click the Is the Windows version on my computer 32-bit or 64-bit? link on the page for help.
If given a choice, select the full feature software and drivers link.
This option may appear in an area labeled Drivers.
When prompted, click Save, and download the software to your desktop or a folder where you can easily find it.
Start the HP software installation by running the install program that you downloaded.
Follow the onscreen instructions, making sure to proceed all the way through the installation without canceling or exiting any screen.
    Note
Some printer models require a USB connection during the install. If you are prompted by the software, connect the USB cable. Hi jngs & amyjo - have u sorted problem? I'm having exactly the same problem with my nano.During first installation of software, would not recognise new hardware when connecting ipod to the pc for formatting. I've uninstalled and reinstalled using both CD that come with nano and also latest software update available on itunes...but still will not recognise hardware when nano connected to pc. Have tried with several 2.0 ports - these r all ok cause i've connected other devices to them and they work fine. I've tried connecting nano to a friend's pc - he all ready uses a ipod (not nano) - same problem "does not recognise new hardware". The usb lead is fine as the nano charges when connected to port. Am planning to take nano back to Apple store in Blue Water (outside London) nxt wk. Why is it that things don't work even when you follow instructions to the letter!!!

Adding to sarbin's instructions, you should probably run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor from MS .  That will show you what is compatible and what is not.

Let me know your OS. Reader X does not work on OS 10.4.11 even if it is Intel Processor.
    Requirements for Reader X are:
    1) OS 10.5.x or OS 10.6.x (Will not work on OS 10.4 series)
    2) Intel Processors (will not work on powerPC based architecture)
Does your system qualify these two requirements? If not I suggest you download Reader 9.4.1 to work with pdf files.
    Thanks,
    Karan

  • Printer officejet pro 8600 will not install

I have done everything but start drinking and that might be next!!! I cannot get this printer to work. Every since I download McAfee (which I uninstalled it) it will not work correctly. Now I got this pop up.
This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please installl a program; if one already installed create association in the default program controls.
How do you do that? And yes I have installed the software a million times.

    Hello @glendaguichard ,
    Welcome to the HP forums.
I understand you are getting an error message, despite a million software installs.
I would like to help you.
    3/4 oz Malibu® coconut rum
3/4 oz white creme de cacao
    1/4 oz Frangelico® hazelnut liqueur
    1 splash half-and-half
Combine ingredients in a mixing glass. Shake and strain over ice in an old-fashioned glass.
    Sorry.
On a more serious note, What is the operating system of the computer?

  • Software update in mountain lion offers updates for iPhoto and iMovie that will not install

Updated my iMac 2011 to Mountain Lion. Software Update now operates through the App Store. Third Party apps are OK but Apple's native Mac apps eg iPhoto, iMovie offer updates for installation that do not install.
Get this error eg for iMovie but similar for iPhoto and maybe others:
"We could not complete your update.  iMovie is already installed on this computer. Choose Software Update from the Apple menu to check for available updates."
If you do as suggested, it reloads App Store software update and goes round again...
If I go to "Check for updates" in the iMovie menu it tells me it's the current version.
"This version of iMovie (9.0.8) is the current version."
The badge showing the count of apps requrining an update is also wrong.

Hi, just wondering, were any of Apple's Apps moved from there default location?

  • Extension for Motif Flash Ad Kit will not install

I followed the directions given on this page:
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/rich_media_ads/articles/flash_ad_kit03.html
I downloaded the extension from Doubleclick. I installed the
extension successfully. The templates are not available in the
Flash UI. What did I do wrong? See this screenshot -
    http://plutonomy.org/no_motif_install.jpg
    - It shows the Flash UI, my Configuration folder with the Motif
components installed, the Extension Manager with Flash Ad Kit
installed. But no way to use the templates... Very confused.

I'd like to add that there are several errors with this
Double-click extension. It would not install on a Windows XP
machine with CS3, stating "This extension requires Macromedia Flash
MX or greater. Quitting." Oh, CS3 isn't greater??
Also, I found the Window > Other Panels on my Mac version
(where the extension did install but doesn't show up on the welcome
screen) and when I try to open the Motif Panel, I get several
Javascript errors and the panel opens up with blank content.
I will be sending a note to the author of the tutorial. Users
trying to develop Flash ads with the Flash Ad Kit be warned - it
    doesn't work!!
