Drivers for Presario V2000 Laptop

I recently performed a clean reinstall of XP and having problems finding drivers for the following three:
1. PCMCIA Texas Instruments PCIxx21/x515 Card Bus Controller
2. PCMCIA Texas Instruments Integrated Flash Media PCIxx21Controller (H)
3. SM Bus Controller

need to know exact model and at least whether it is AMD or Intel. I believe these card reader drivers cover Intel and AMD but the SM Bus is part of the main chipset and that is different depending on the make of the processor:

Upgrading Compaq Presario V2000 laptop

hello everyone,
I am planning on upgrading a Compaq presario V2000 laptop i currently own. I heard that it cna can only run on PC2700 RAM with a max of 1gb per slot. Currently, I have 2 X 256mb sticks installed so i plan to remove one of them and install a 1GB stick and i was wondering whether this is compatible with the laptop:

I also wanted to upgrade the hard-drive as 40gbs just doesn't cut it for me. Does anyone know whether the V2000 can hold two hard-drives? Also what hard-drives are supported by the V2000? Will any IDE 2.5" hard-drive fit in or does it only support 5400rpm drives?

Your max memory is 2 gigs or 2 x 1 gb and yes it uses DDR333 SO-DIMM memory. Here is the Crucial.com page for it:

Turn to Page 5-6 for hard drive replacement. Don't forget to save the little connector piece that goes over the hard drive pins and place it on the new drive. There is only room for one (1) drive.
You can use any IDE (PATA) 2.5 inch laptop drive of any size and rotation speed. A 7200 rpm drive will boost performace significantly.
Not sure if you have the Intel or AMD version of the V2000 but the processor is also upgradeable if you happen to have one using the Celeron or Sempron processor.

If Windows 8 drivers are released for your notebook, they will be posted here.
HP is not going to support hardware for Windows 8 on any system purchased before Oct 1st 2011. Most Windows 7 drivers will work in Windows 8.
Check out this page to see if your computer has been tested by HP with Windows 8.
You can run the Upgrade assistant software, which will scan your PC and generate a report on what is currently installed on your PC is compatible with Windows 8. This upgrade guide for Windows 8 provides a lot of information that is needed for anyone considering upgrading.

USB 3.0 drivers for a downgraded laptop?

I've got a 17-e130us laptop that due to work requirements I had to downgrade from win 8.1 to win 7 x64 in order for our software to work properly.
The laptop has 2 USB 3.0 ports on the left side and 1 USB 2.0 port on the right. I went into the UEFI settings and setup all the legacy nonsense needed to get it up and running. I even installed win7 from a bootable flash drive.
But now when I plug in flash drives or anything while win7 is running the OS doesn't detect anything. Is there a driver I'm missing specifically for this? Can I use them as just 2.0 ports?
Or will I be stuck running all of my peripherals out of a single USB hub from the one 2.0 port? All of the other drivers installed fine, the laptop runs 2 external displays just fine using the VGA and HDMI ports, audio ports work fine.

First install the amd chipset driver and reboot. You want the first file listed on the webpage.

No Audio Device Found for Presario R3230US laptop

I had a virus on my R3230US laptop so I restored my computer which has the XP operating system SP3, but have no audio device installed. I downloaded the recommended driver sp28552.exe and when I installed it SoundMax was loaded. Then my computer locked up, and I had to back down to my last good bootup. I have done this a number of times and it always locks up. Is there another audio driver that I should be using? Thanks.

XP normally needs the MS UAA bus driver installed and you have to install that before installing any audio driver.
Uninstall the audio driver, reboot and install the MS UAA driver.

Drivers for presario C 700 with windows 7 home premium

hi there,
I´m having some issues with my notebook sound ( like a weird sound buss i think could be the drivers) I do upgrade the OS to windows 7 home premium; originally this system came with vista, HP does not have drivers for this notebook available for win 7 ?? does any one can help me , or any idea to solve the problem ???? thanks.

No BUS drivers for dv7 4296NR Laptop

I kep getting a message that there are no BUS drivers installed on this unit. I ran the HP Product check and it showed nothing, yet the unit itself tells me otherwise.

Need drivers for Presario SR1510NX

I had to replace my hard drive, I reinstalled Windows XP Professional and now I need the following drivers, Ethernet Controller, Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus, SM Bus controller, and Video Controller (Vga Compatible)
I tried looking all over the net without success.

Drivers for different Operating Systems in one Task Sequence

Hi,
I would like to implement a solution for our deployment process. We are using UDI Wizard, and in this moment in time we are deploying only Windows 7 x64 and Windows 8.1 x64.
Here is how it looks in UDI:
Drivers for our HP laptops are setup and working with Windows 7 x64, but when I choose Windows 8.1 x64 from my dropdown menu in UDI, during the deployment process I get the driver package that is made for Windows 7 x64 version.
What am I missing here? Ofcourse i added all of this conditions to see if it works because I am testing it right now:
If possible we would like to use the same TS for both OS (and in the future Windows 10).

thanks for your reply. As I tried to explain above, I just added many conditions to see if it would work, random throwing of everything, nothing more. Well it didnt.
It worked like this:
1. First you configure the operating systems in UDI wizard, then their name is what counts.
2. Then you implement OS into UDI task sequence, and for that to works you also use OSDImageName variable.
For example Windows 7 x64 Enterprise you Add condition->TS variable->OSDImageName equals "Windows 7 x64 Enterprise", I got that name from UDI wizard. For Windows 8 x64 the same, just make another step including Install Operating system Windows
8 and change the variable according to the name.
3. Then create install driver steps both for different OS and also add the condition like bellow:
You have to specify both conditions in order to work, otherwise it will install both driver packages.

Need WXP MCE drivers for Qosmio F20

Hi everyone.
I recently reloaded the OS on a clients Qosmio F20 (PQF20A-00D00C). They didn't have any recovery disks and I didn't make any recovery disks (as per a KB article I found later - not that I recall any such menu item).
I am looking for the drivers for such a laptop but the Toshiba site only has drivers for LAN, WLAN and bluetooth. I can't see any for audio, vga, chipset etc.
Any idea where I can find such drivers for XP MCE(Pro)?

I don't have time to check all this but I think all drivers for WXP MCE should be available on Toshiba download page under http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/
You can also try to find missing drivers on European Toshiba page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp (Product type > Archive). I presume there is no big difference between Australian and European Qosmio F20.
Try to find drivers you can use with WXP MCE.

Use the button at top of this page titled "Support", then click "Download drivers" from the menu. Enter your Model Number. After entering MN click 'Go". On the next page use the dropdown menu to select Windows 8.1, click Next. A list will populate with drivers/software.
Btw-HP uses different components such as Intel ,Broadcom,Realtek Wireless,etc. Best to take a list from Device Manager now so you know which driver to choose.

Tecra A2 - Need XP drivers for LAN and WLan card

Hey,
I've got a rather old.. second hand Toshiba Tecra A2 laptop and apparently its in need of an ethernet controller and a network controller drive.
I've been using the toshiba website to download many drivers for this model laptop successfully.
I have installed them all - but i apparently still need these drivers. Where can i get them from.
Or where might i be going wrong in finding them?

Sorry - in fact on the toshiba driver downloads page, i downloaded the LAN driver etc, moved the download onto my laptop, extracted all folders and there was no installation device but only an un-installation device, as when i clicked it, it asks " do you want to remove all drivers for all wired intel PRO network connections?"
if i should continue with this what i thought to be un installation program.. let me know :)

That is not the info I requested. I can't help unless you provide the information for the device instance ID:
Please click on your missing audio controller in the device manager. Then click on the details tab.
Post the top string of characters you see there. Those will identify the model of the audio controller you have and I can send you the link to the XP drivers for it.
You shoujld see something that looks like this:
