Drivers for Sun Floppy under Win 2000 on SUN Pci card.

Hi,
I'm running a Sun Blade 150 with Solaris 8. I have a Sun Pci card with Windows 2000 loaded. When Win2k boots, it asks for drivers for a "sun floppy". I've looked around for these drivers but I can't find them. Can anyone point me to them. Thanks.

Take a closer look at the actual card,
particularly at the central Ethernet chip.
If I recall correctly, it is a DEC DC2115x chipset for 10/100Mbit connectivity,
and should be natively recognized by Linux.
The 501-5406 QFE card, as shown on a 3rd party web site.
Install it and boot your system.
You should know in just a few moments whether it'll work,
or whether the Sun firmware is of any concern.

Forms 6i webforms under Win 2000

I was trying to use Forms 6i under win 2000 and I get a message on the install indicating webforms only runs on NT. I understand the problem, but how long will it be before you have a version for win 2000?
Or is their additional docs that would help with this install?

On the install I have a box come up that says
"You have selected Developer 2000 Webforms which is installble only on Windows NT 4.0 only. Press OK to continue to install other modules or press cancel to terminate".
Other modules install. Just the webforms does not.
This was our first install on Win 2000. We had planned 2000 as the operating system for 9iAS also. Are we better off just going back to NT 4.0 for now? Is 9iAS win 2000 ready?

Wifi asks for user name under win 7 ?

I have a unibody MacBook Pro 2.8 GHz, everything is working properly under OS X 10.6. I also have win 7 installed, and everything seems fine there also, except when i try to connect to a wireless network, windows asks me for a user name and a password. I do have the password, but i've never had to insert a user name before. I have no idea what the user name is.
The funny thing is that, a few weeks ago my wifi was working properly under win 7, but since I moved to a new location, i haven't been able to connect to that network anymore. In Snow Leopard same wifi works fine.

You can't differentiate between subdirectories in Firefox, so even if you would edit the URL then it wouldn't work and you might corrupt the file by doing that.

TS3147 I seem to have lost fax capability with Snow Leopard. Does not appear in Print as before. Cant find fax in system Preferences. No drivers for fax found Bob Wines.

No drivers for Compaq IJ600 under Vista

I recently bought a new laptop. I went to my summer home where I have a Compaq IJ600. When I went to print it didn't because there was no assigned printer on my PC for the Compaq IJ600. I inserted the CD containing the drivers only to discover they weren't supported under Windows Vista Home Premium. I then went to the Compaq web site to see if I could get any drivers for this printer to find out not supported under Vista. I'm only here for two months and don't want to buy another printer. I will be doing some printing while here if I can find a solution to this problem. Any help, suggestions, ideas are much appreciated. Thanks, **bleep**

K9N Neo-F v.3: what RAID drivers for the floppy?

I downloaded the drivers that are suppose to be for the floppy install during the windows XP setup (using f6). I found these by using the MSI website and searching for drivers for my motherboard model. It specifically says they are raid drivers for floppy disk. After unzipping this file, it creates a main folder called WinXP. There are two subfolders inside that called "sata_ide" and "sataraid".
now, from my experience windows has to see these drivers on the root of A:\ during installation. Righ off the bat, I can tell this zip file is improperly formated to be used with a floppy for windows XP installation. The files within the two subfolders are named the same, so you cant just place all of these drivers on the root drive without overwriting them.
So, I made 3 floppies. On one floppy I followed the directions given on the site where I downloaded the zip file: Unzip the file and copy all files to the floppy. This meant sub folders and all. I created another floppy with ONLY the sataraid drivers directly in the root of A:. I created a third with only the sata_ide drivers directly on the root of A:
I created my striped array using 2 WD SATA II drives. Status is healthy. Upon installing windows, I hit f6 and inserted my floppy when prompted. None of the floppies I created worked. I even went the extra step and formatted and created partitions on each drive. Still no dice.
I need to know EXACTLY how to create the driver disk for this motherboard. Links to the drivers or any extra information is greatly appreciated. Anyone with experience in this realm on this particular motherboard, Id like to hear from you.
Oddly enough, I was able to build a RAID/0 config using an LSI PCI Raid controller and two Ultra 320 SCSI Seagate Cheetahs. Something I was told prior to that this motherboard would not be able to do. Now here I am struggling using drivers given to me directly from MSI with HDD's the motherboard completely supports

HP does not show any drivers for my P1006 under windows 10

My Laserjet P1006 will not work now that I am using windows 10. HP does not show that they have new drivers for my P1006. Will HP be coming out with new drivers.

Hypothetically speaking, if I were to develop a custom prototyping PCI card interface using addresses 300 to 303, what would be involved in getting LabVIEW to communicate with this prototyping card? What issues may be important in the development of the prototype card itself?

NI-VISA offers you the ability access the hardware directly.
Issues?
Speed, I believe this is not the fastest way to get at the registers.
Determinism, if your device will require the CPU get back to it on a regular basis, Windows could get in the way.

I am keep getting the stop error 0x00000116 failing with a blue screen while im browsing. I have observerd this quite a few times and also I could not find the correct video drivers for my t61 thinkpad in the ibm site. I could see the details as wxp & windows vista but not for win 7. Oracle Apps 11i under Win 2000/NT

I'm having some problems installation 11i with rapid install. I'm trying to install the visions demo but can't seem to get it right. The following are the things that I did.
1. Fresh install of Windows (2000 twice and NT server once, both without IIS install)
2. Using windowsupdate, applied all patches and rebooted
3. created USER ORACLE and USER APPLMGR. Logon as ORACLE user Copied all cd's to STAGE11i directory
4. Ran rapid install wizard and selected single node install
5. Unselected PROD option and selected VIS option
6. Entered password for APPLMGR and complete DNS name for machine and left everything else as default.
7. Rapid install completes with no errors.
Results:
Can bring up oracle install portal but can't log onto apps using logon links. I realized that OracleConcMgrVIS and the webDb listeners (2.2 and 2.5) would not come up under services. Tried starting them manually, OracleConcMgrVIS starts but can't start either WeDB Listener VIS service. What am I doing wrong??? Tried this on both Windows 2000 server and windows NT 4.0 server with similar results!!!

When we close the IE and login back its going in with out issue. Is there any other specific issue on why we are getting "Oracle error &ERRNO: &REASON has been detected in &ROUTINE." apart from the org_id & triggers.I guess not.

Drivers for IDE floppy drive?

Hello!
I have an old 400mhz Sawtooth G4, booting into both 10.4.9 and 9.2.2. I also have some disks I need to access - 3.5" floppy disks! (Phew!) We had a Iomega (Imation?) USB "Superdisk" drive, but when I tried it, I found that the enclosure didn't work - the power plug was damaged.
So, I figured "Well, it's a IDE drive on the inside, so why not put it into the G4's empty ZIP slot? I was able to buy an adapter that converts from the standard 4-pin power cables that are inside the G4 to the kind on the floppy, and was able to get the drive plugged in as a slave drive to the DVD drive. Under OS X, it comes up and reads just fine! Under OS 9, it won't work. It just sits there, reading and reading, waiting for the OS to ask for it... I need to be able to read some of these disks under OS 9, so although OS X supports the drive, it won't work.
So, is it possible to find floppy drives for IDE drives, compatible with OS 9.2.2? I know that the old Beige G3 Mac has a floppy drive, and will run OS 9, so I figure that there has to be a driver somewhere; not to mention that OS 10.4 has a built in driver. All I need is 1.4 MB support, not the "Superdisk's" fancy proprietary 120MB disk support.

You may need to download and install the latest driver for OS 9 for that drive. You can get that here -

Note - that's a direct download link, about 370MB.

For a simple backup, you can just copy the floppy to the hard drive - it will appear there as a folder.
If you need an actual disk image, you can use the Disk Copy utility which is included with all standard OS 9 installs to make a disk image of the floppy.

I guess that this could be avoided by disabling
kernel.grsecurity.harden_ptrace

in /etc/sysctl.d/05-grsecurity-conf. But that's not what I really want. Is there another way how to circumvent this problem?

I'm seeing a similar problem with a Steam game that grsec occasionally causes to crash. Here's cllp from the journal:
