Drivers for ThinkVision USB Soundbar (40Y7616)

After installation of new ThinkVision USB Soundbar (40Y7616) on Windows XP the device is not recognized by OS, it shows as "USB Audio Device" in device manager, but Windows can not find a driver, and no driver was shipped with the speakers.  Search of IBM/Lenovo download and could not find the drivers.
If somebody can point how to download drivers it will be much appreciatied.

That soundbar uses the standard Windows USB audio drivers, so there are no drivers to download. If it shows up as "USB Audio Device" then it is correctly installed.
Have you checked the Sound Control Panel to make sure it is selected as the default output?
The soundbar also has a power button and volume controls...
I don't work for Lenovo. I'm a crazy volunteer!

Since no one else has replied, I'll take a stab at this even though I don't have this soundbar.
From what I can see on Lenovo's website, there are no drivers specifically for this device. When you plug it into a USB port, Windows should recognize it and you should be able to get sound out of the speakers. Is that not the case?
You might try to delete the  "USB Audio Device" in device manager, power down, then reboot with the soundbarplugged in. Windows should then recognize the device and install whatever drivers it needs.

  • How to install drivers for Ni USb 6009

    Hi
I am trying to use an NI-USB 6009 and was wondering if its possible to install just the drivers for this hardware. I know that I can install the NI-Daq base but I would really like to install the minimum amount of software onto my computer that has linux. However, I did try to install the NI daq base and the installation is failing because of an input/output error, (I am not really sure why).
I would really like to be able to just install the drivers for the USB-6009. I was just wondering if that was possible and where I could find them.
    Thanks

    Hi Cannonball,
You'll know pretty quickly after installing DAQmx Base and running the lsdaq utility as to if you need different firmware. The 6008 and 6009 must have a different firmware loaded to be able to run DAQmx Base 3.x. This is not a problem though as there is a firmware updating utility that comes with DAQmx Base and it's fairly straigh forward. For more information, see the link below.
KB 491FPHB9: Firmware Incompatibility With Different Versions of DAQmx Base.

  • Help needed by Good Samaritans for info on Drivers for RS232 / USB ports.

    Dear all,
I would first like to thank you for taking the time to read my message.
I would like to ask all you proffesional LV developer how difficult it
might be to write the drivers for a bluetooth-RS232(or for a Wireless
LAN ethernet/USB access point) device using LV. Would it be better to
    write the drivers in C++?
I have finished the LV Basics 1&2, though we did not learn something helpfull for my case.
Are there any usefull examples i should look at?
The signal transmitted would have a data rate of about 0.5MBbs and the LV program would just display and store the data.
    Thanks for your help

    Bogiasac
Couple of quick points then I will allow the LV Community to reply to the specifics.  From NI's point of view we would recommend that you use the development language that you feel most confident in, so if you are a C++ guru then use C++.  Another point, you mention that you attended the LV Basic training classes.  I conclude from your comments that you were looking for specific training (while attending did you raise this with instructor at the time?), these training classes are an introduction to the LV environment and set out the ground rules how to best develop a LV application.  Our intermediate courses go into greater detail into advanced LV features - though for some this is still not deep enough (future developments in that for LV 8.0 users soon).  If you are looking for specific training please contact our Training Co-ordinator in the UK and she will be happy to advice.
On the Bluetooth question, LV has Bluetooth tools built in.  These can be found in the Communication palate under Bluetooth (this depends on which version of LV you have, Base or FDS). Please use these VIs to develop you Bluetooth application.  There are 9 Bluetooth examples shipped with LV, these can be found by using the “find examples” in the help menu.

There seems to be a web site here http://www.eduscho.at/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/at/-/EUR/TdAtBrowseCat alog-Start?CategoryName=phase_1&Entry=nlpopup
I am not sure, as it seems to be in German, to follow any links to other items that are not groceries or Coffee.
The same with this link http://www.germandeli.com/eduschocoffee.html
I was hoping it would list a name like this bit does
    Hub in Apple Pro Keyboard:
    Version: 1.22
    Bus Power (mA): 500
    Speed: Up to 12 Mb/sec
    Manufacturer: Mitsumi Electric
    Product ID: 0x1002
Vendor ID: 0x05ac (Apple Computer, Inc.)
Yours does not seem to list the name which means we can not use that method for finding out what make it actually is.
There was a post in this thread from EZ Jim about using a macam driver.
These I understand are more camera Specific than other drivers which is why we needed a name.
The one from IOXperts may be of more help

  • Toshiba, make Linux - Ubuntu drivers for bluetooth USB sticks

Toshiba, please make proper Linux - Ubuntu drivers to your bluetooth USB sticks. I was surprised unpleasantly noting that there are no drivers available for Ubuntu. Please could someone explain THE reason to this kind of abortive policy towards Ubuntu users?

The problem is Ubuntu here. The Bluetooth adapter is directly connected to the USB bus so it should work without any problems if the OS comes along with the suitable Bluez software. Try to update your Ubuntu installation (apt-get update). Check if bluez is properly installed.

  • Windows 7 no longer recognizes or allows ASIO drivers for my usb audio interfaces

Hello All, last year I purchased a new version of Propellerheads Reason and the  Balance digital audio interface that came with the bundle.
Everything was fine it all worked well, especially when I added asio4all drivers. (The Balance comes with its own asio driver).
Super low latency on my keyboard and midi guitar.  I was using my midi guitar and set up at jams for several months last year and it was great!
One day I was getting ready for the jam session and I noticed that the latency on my midi guitar became so bad that I could not play in time with the other musicians.
I checked out the preference/audio page in Reason and saw that my asio drivers were missing! I immediately went and down loaded asio4all again and installed it. It would show up in any of my music software. I have tried removing and re-installing
the stock ASIO driver that came with Balance and no luck.
I suspect that shortly before this  huge problem ( my music software is basically useless without asio drivers) I allowed a windows update to my system.
I think that somehow during one of these "updates" something changed and windows 7 no longer allows asio drivers on my computer. This really sucks!
Is there some way to get rid of the offending "update" that ruined my music system?
    Thanks in advance!
    Don

Thank you for your response  FangZhou Chen, unfortunately this problem started last fast, possible early November so I can't do a restore that far back.

  • Drivers for ThinkPad USB Port Replicator with Digital Video

I have a X220 P/N: 4291Gw9 with the port replicator P/N: 51J0246 running Windows 8 Enterprise. I tried installing the Windows 7 drivers with no luck. I can use replicator with keyboard and mouse but i dont see external monitor Sync Master 214T.
Any workaround to this issue? I have 2 external monitors I use for work plus the laptop one as third.
I realy need this second monitor.
    Details about my drivers versions:
Windows 8 Enterprise + all updates
    Graphic card drivers: 9.17.10.2875
    Replicator drivers: tp_usb_prdigvid_v20620

I have the exact same problem on my W510. Everything but the screen Works. I cannot however do duplicate screens. That would help a Little bit, so I could use the big monitor instead of just the laptop.
    Please fix this Lenovo!

  • I Need USB Controller Drivers For My HP Pavillion g6 2235ca Notebook Running Windows 7 Pro 64bit?

So it has been at least a couple of months that I've been using my laptop with only ONE working USB port.
The other two do NOT work. If I go to Computer on the Start menu, and right-click on Computer, then Manage, then i go to Device Manager, there is a yellow exclamation mark next to Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller.
When I try to update them, Windows 7 tells me that an update could not be found blah blah blah...
This problem happened ever since I installed Windows 7 64bit over Windows 8 64bit.
So, can someone help me find drivers for this USB Controller? Or is this some kind of hardware failure or issue?
    Please help? Anyone...!

    Hi Hemlock,
Are you talking about this driver if you are running 64bit.
Edit: I am not sure if you are running Win XP 32 or 64 bit so I included both.

  • USB drivers for Win XP K7T266 Pro

    Hello,
i was wondering if someone could direct me to the Windows XP professional drivers for my USB ports. I am using a MSI mainboard with the VIA K7T266 Pro chipset. Whenever windows restarts it attempts to install the drivers. It says that the "data" was "invalid". I have tried downloading the service pack and it did not recognise the USB drivers and i cannot download these drivers from the MSI site manually. I have also tried using the live update function on the MSI site.
Can i get another round of applause for windows XP! what a great product!!!  :(
Please help....i need to install my new USB modem and its driving me crazy.
    Thanks

    Hi,
It depends on the type of board you have.
If it's the K7T266pro V1 then you better buy a PCI USB card as the ports give problems at 133FSB anyway.
If it's the K7T266pro2 V2 then you need indeed SP1 for XP and let the ports redetect.
The V1 board has a serious USB problem at FSB133 and can't be solved by BIOS or drivers.
Only a PCI card or lowering the CPU-FSB can solve it.
The V1 board is very old and only a few have been sold a long time ago and was quickly replaced when the problem was discovered.

  • Problem USB soundbar thinkvision (40Y7616) in combination with Vista + latest version Skype

I use the soundbar for skype calls. I never had problems.
I have upgraded skype from 4.0.0.150 to 4.1 (newest version). As soon as the soundbar is activated by Skype, a nasty montone sound is produced. I can only solve it when installing the old Skype version back agian.
A friend has the same soundbar but he has XP. He does not have any problem with the new Skype version.
I assume the problem is with Skype, but because of lack of urgency en lack of service from Skype, I hope somebody can help me here.
    What can be the reason?
    What is the solution?

Hi, I have exactly the same problem on Windows 7 home. Skype only works when using the internal Loudspeakers on my M57p Desktop (or via headset connected directly to the tower). When using the USB Soundbar I only hear a shrill sound out of the loudspeakers. My assumption is that the driver is crap.
By the way: In the Win7 control panel (under System -> Device manager) the Soundbar appears as "b-flex audio device" from iLab. It seams that the driver integrated in Win7 is a 3rd party product.

  • 64 Bit Windows7/8/8.1 USB drivers for Palm Desktop

Thanks to the great folks over at Aceeca.com (makers of NEW PalmOS Garnet devices), USB drivers for 64bit Vista, Windows 7, and Win 8 operating systems are available.  There are many users reporting Palm Desktop 4.x is also working.
I have synced my TX to my Vista64 bit laptop, and Windows 8.1 HP Spectre X2 hybrid successfully via my USB cable.
    The drivers are located here:
    Aceeca Driver Downloads
Installation instructions (from Aceeca) for Windows 7 are included in the download.
    Basic instructions:
    1. Download the drivers and Extract them to the same folder.  Remember the folder you extracted them to.
    2. Try to HotSync your device.  It will fail.
    3. Open the Device Manager, and look for the Yellow Triangle next to either "Acceca" or "Palm Device" under "Other devices".
    4. Right-click on the device, and choose "Update Driver Software".
    5. Choose "Browse My Computer for Software" and direct it to the folder you extracted the Aceeca drivers to.
    6. Choose "Next" at the driver file location window, and then tell it to "Always trust software from Aceeca Ltd." then click the "Install" button.
    7. I received an error message (Vista64) that told me "The drivers were installed but the device couldn't be opened." I saw that my TX had timed out and went to sleep.  I tried a HotSync and it worked!!!
    Good luck!
NOTE:  Palm Desktop 6.22 may only show Media and Install.  Here's how to fix that:
If Palm Desktop 6.2.2 only shows Media and Install, try this:  Right-click on the shortcut for Palm Desktop, then choose "Run as Administrator".  The ther modules should appear.
To make Palm Desktop Run as Administrator every time in Windows 8/8.1:
Close Palm Desktop, if open.  (This is a very important thing to always do when using 6.2.2 - it has been known to lose data when a computer is shut down without closing the program!)
Right Click on the Palm Desktop Icon in the Metro screen, then choose "Open File Location".  You will now see the actual file for the shortcut.
Right-click on the "Palm Desktop" shortcut file, then Properties.  Now pick the Compatibility Tab at the top.
At the bottom of the Compatibility Tab is a checkbox:  "Run this Program as Administrator", Click OK .
Try opening Palm Desktop, all the parts should appear.  You may see a box open when you close the program asking "Did the program run correctly?"   I picked "Yes", and it's been working fine since then!
If you are using a much older PalmOS device and want to try using Palm Desktop 4.x, you will need this additional patch from Pimlico Software:

"After attempting your first HotSync and failing (as expected) you may be unable to find any trace of the device in Device Manager, making the next step quite difficult. This happened to me, and after some investigation I discovered the following tip that allows Device Manager to show hidden and non-present devices.
Open up Notepad and paste the following two lines into it:
    set DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES=1
    start devmgmt.msc
Save it as SetDev.bat into My Documents.
Open My Documents in Windows Explorer and double click on SetDev.bat. Device Manager should open.
In the View menu select Show Hidden Devices.
You may now see under the Other heading the failed device with a yellow triangle against it.
You can now proceed to install the drivers per the instructions.
Note that the driver supports most Palm OS versions. I'm actually using an Aceeca Meazura 1000 ruggedized PDA running OS 4.1  --- bobboffin"
    Hope this helps!
