Drivers for video card ( Windows )

Hi! I need to update my driver for Intel 965 Express Chipset Family on Windows 8, because some games does not run ( like GTA 4 ). Currently I have v8.15, but the newest is v10.*. I contacted Intel, but they have drivers only for PCs. What can I do?

I have only found this for this hardware > http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=20775&lang=eng&OS Version=Windows%208%2C%2064-bit*&DownloadType=Drivers
That's the only driver that supports Windows 8

  • Updating Drivers for video card?

I have a G5 Quad with an Nvidia Geforce 7800 GT video card (installed by Apple at the time of purchase). I wanted to see if there were any new/updated drivers for my card, but when I go to Nvidia's website the card is not listed, nor are any Mac drivers that I can see. I checked Apple's site, CNET Downloads, and Google, but I'm coming up with nothing.
How are the drivers for video cards updated? Are the drivers included in various OS updates? Am I just looking in the wrong places?
    Thanks.

Thanks, maclover. And thanks for the warm welcome
My problem is specific to a piece of software... I'm using Lightwave, and recently added FPrime to Lightwave's functionality. FPrime is a third party plugin, and is widely used in the Lightwave community.
The problem is that if I open FPrime before OpenGL renders the objects in a scene on screen FPrime crashes (hard)... it's like a kernel panic and my only option is to shut down and reboot. However, if I let OpenGL render the objects first then FPrime opens fine.
I'm an active member of the Lightwave community, and I've been in contact with the maker of FPrime regarding this issue. My question about drivers stems from the fact that usually if something like this occurs then it may be related to the need to update card drivers.
    Thanks agian.

    Hello
I have a little bit searched on the Toshiba website and it seems that your model belongs to the PSLJTE series and therefore you can download all drivers for XP and Windows 7 here:
    http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads > Download Drivers
    Notebook > Satellite > Satellite L Series > Satellite L500 > PSLJTE
    Check this!!!

  • Simple Question: My Core2Duo MacBook cannot use DRIVERS for 64-bit Windows?

What I thought was a Windows 7-only problem, I think I may have realized that I simply cannot use the drivers for 64-bit Windows anyway. I may need to reinstall Windows 7 using the 32-bit disc instead if I want to use all the features of my MacBook.
The thing is, my MacBook is perfectly capable of running 64-bit software, is this not correct? It's only a matter of paying more if I want everything to work? At least I'll run 64-bit Snow Leopard, I'm sure that will work at least!

Are you getting an error saying that Boot Camp x64 isn't supported on your system? If so, try this:
Go here: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/507-built-administrator-account-enable-disa ble.html Follow the instructions in option two, its the easiest way. You'll need an external mouse for right clicking.
Once you've enabled that, log out of your account in Windows 7/Vista, log in to the newly appeared "Administrator" account, put in the appropriate disc with the Boot Camp drivers on it, browse the files on the disc. Go into Drivers, then Apple, then right click and run "BootCamp64"as an administrator. Everything installs just fine.
Then follow the instructions on that page I linked to remove the administrator account.
I have Windows 7 Home Premium x64 installed on my original aluminum unibody MacBook. It runs without a problem. I've even installed newer nvidia GPU (not chipset) drivers. Both to get better performance in the games I do play and because the drivers that ship with Boot Camp 3 are ancient.
Everything works! Should work on any non-ATI x1x00 series Core 2 Duo Mac, since ATI/AMD will not be supporting Windows 7 on those GPUs.
I posted it originally in this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2211248&tstart=15

  • HP Pavilion DV2716ca - Reduce the amout of RAM allocated for video card

    Hello,
Is there a way to reduce the amout of RAM allocated for video card?I don't play games so only 16-32Mb should be more than enough
I have 4Gb of RAM and only 2.99 are available. I know that for a 32bit OS only 3.4-3.6Gb are available.
    Thanks,
    Adrian

    Hi @adrian_d ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion dv2716ca Entertainment Notebook and wanted to reduce the amount of Ram allocated to your video card. I do not recommend this as this could cause overheating or overworking the card. Here is a link that might help with performance issues.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

  • External PSU (power supply unit) for Video Card

Hello guys. My 7979 6gb Radeon card arrived, but my Mac Pro only has 6-pin connections for video cards and two molex inputs, when my video card needs two 8-pin ports (or four 4-pin molex ports, 2 for each 8-pin), since I tried running the card simply using one molex for each 8-pin port (the card just turns off when I try to load a graphic intense video game, but otherwise runs) and it fails. To solve this, I am purchasing new psu tomorrow morning at best buy. 2 questions
    1. Since this psu will be external and not a replacement for the Mac pro psu, do I have to connect anything from the psu to the motherboard, or do I simply plug it into the wall outlet, and then plug the video card 8-pin cables into the psu ?
    2. The "requirements" on the video cards website says that I require a 500 watt CPU. But I believe this assumes a 500 watt CPU that is powering the whole computer (fans, ram, hard drives etc), so does that mean that getting a 430 watt psu will be fine since its exclusively for the video card? I read online that at max usage, the card only uses about 370 watts.
    Thanks

The PCI-e bus can provide 75 watts, as can each of the two 6-pin auxiliary power connectors, so you only need a 150 watt supply.  It is possible to mount it internally, below the optical drive.

  • Curious about graphic card drivers for FLASHED cards-

Since Apple only provides video drivers as part of the OS, where do mutant, flashed cards get their driver support from?
I'm not having problems of any kind, the thought suddenly popped in my head, after many years of happily running flashed cards on a DB DP MDD G4 and a G5 Quad.
    Thanks in advance.

where do mutant, flashed cards get their driver support from?
    Those same drivers.
See, that's part of the "magic" of flashing; changing the codes within the ROM of the flashed card to make that card "look" like an Apple OEM. As long as the ROM coded ID is the same as an Apple OEM cousin, an ID that is included in OS X drivers, then OS X allows access to and full use of the drivers.
Knowing this, one can see why only cards that are very similar to Apple OEM, i.e. same GPU families, are the only ones that can be flashed.
You can't just change the ID of a card that has completely different architecture. There are voltages, VRAM timings, pipeline actualizations, scores of functions that are coded in the ROM but must have relevance to the architecture of the card in which the ROM resides.
OS X has drivers for many families of GPUs, but anything outside that will be unuseable, with no way to add driver support via download (like Windows).
I say "no way", but in some cases, actually hacking the drivers of OS X can allow some close 2nd and 3rd cousins to enjoy some driver support......
In your 7800 GTX cards case, there are drivers for both 7800 GT series and 4500FX series cards in OS X. The GTX has similarities to both, but usually derives support from the 4500FX drivers.

  • Can't find drivers for memory card reader

I downgraded my laptop to Windows 7 and now recently i did a clean install again, and i can't find the card reader driver again to read sd cards, i tried using hp site to recognize my hardware and they say " there is no drivers for your product" or something like that, which is weird because i know that there is many drivers for Windows 7 i even downloaded some a long time ago...i think Hp Support Solutions Framework is broken, and Hp Support Assistant software for pc don't return me drivers too...

  • I cannot open any photo in Photoshop CC 2014 after upgrade the application and drivers of video-card.

Since I have made an upgrade of Photoshop CC 2014 I got a lot of problems.
At first, I could not open any pictures in Photoshop. It works only if I disable "Use Graphic processor". I installed a new driver for my video-card, but it did not help. I use AMD FirePro V4800 for 10-bit colour.
I had to return the system to the restore point (before the upgrade), then it worked somehow, but not stable. ACR from time to time had a blue screen with a white cross.
Now I tried to install drivers for my video-card again, but it resulted in the same issue: Photoshop cannot open any photo. (Other converters and editors and also a new Lightroom work well).
I use Win7x64, i7 2600, 16 Gb RAM, two SSD's, AMD FirePro V4800. I have never had any problems before the upgrade. And I do not want to reinstall Photoshop because I would have to reinstall a lot of plug-ins, I have already lost a whole day.

    Glad it's not just me!
Interestingly, when I spoke with Apple, I tried it in a new user account and the problem went away. Apple said to speak to Adobe which I have done and after deleting settings/prefs again the problem remained. Adobe say as it's fine in a new account then it's an Apple issue not Adobe.
I did find a workaround for now though, when using file - open, set it to list view instead of column view - this fixed my problem but sadly I'm used to working in column view so it's not ideal!
I also got the same error message when trying to replace a set of brushes yesterday too. I need to go back to Apple now but just need to schedule some time to sit and troubleshoot!

  • Drivers for network card Extreme 802.11 n

I´m running Mac OS X and windows vista on bootcamp.
Mac OS X is functional, ofcourse, but Vista doesn't recognise the network card.
I need Windows drivers for this.
    Where can I find this?

I know you may have already tried this but have you already installed the boot camp drivers on vista? They can be found on the Leopard install disc. The drivers for all hardware should be on that.

  • No drivers for 64 bit windows,

i cant get the msi 9800 pro drivers to work becuse there is none for windows 64 os   but  ati has drivers for 64 bit os,but the chips on the msi card dont?

F.Y.I., according to microsoft's website, the 64-bit version of Windows XP (which I got a dev. version of) is still Beta, i.e. stripped down of lots of media support and currently really only designed to perform massive number crunching and probability operations for large companies.  What that means to you and me?  Well, any program not specifically coded to run as 64-bit (nearly all consumer programs available) will be run in a 32-bit emulation mode, sort of like back when Windows 95 would run DOS games in an emuation window.  Basically you will be running a 32-bit emulation OS inside of your 64-bit normal OS, not improving your performance any...in a few years it will become mainstream though IMHO.
I only mention this because I was minutes away from installing 64-bit XP myself...then I read the official site, and immediately tossed my copy back in the "to be toyed with" file drawer...
Hope it works out for ya!

  • Netgear Drivers for 64-bit Windows?!?!?

Has anyone else seen this slight problem? Netgear is more than willing to release 64-bit Linux drivers for nearly all of their hardware, although has yet to release a single one of their products. Has anyone been able to find any 64-bit drivers for the netgear NIC's? Preferably, I would like to get my hands on the driver for the WAG311 108MB/ps Wireless Network Card, so that I can use it with my 64-bit system.
    Thank you for your assistance,
    Tyson Edwards

I wouldn't hold your breath.  Their consumer product drivers (e.g. wireless router) won't even load in PAE mode (physical address extension) so I would be inclined to believe the marketting folks have told them it's less important than new stuff.  I had them working just fine in Windows 2003 server 32bit, but flip on the /PAE and they just won't load.
