Drivers for XP Pro

Hi I am new to the mac world so I am sorry if this question is entirely stupid but I have no clue what to do. I was able to set up the dual boot to the point where I have installed the XP program and can boot it. However when I try to set up the drivers as the installation guide suggests with the OSX installation disks I am given an error message with something like bit rate 64 will not be supported. Just wondering if there is anything I can do. For information sake I am running a Macbook Pro 13" with the Snow Leopard 10.6.3 OS and installed XP Professional x64 as the dual boot system.
Thanks

Hi and welocme to Discussions,
no stupid questions round here
Your "problem", so to speak, is that Apple has never supported XP 64-bit with any kind of BootCamp Drivers at all.
XP is only supported in 32-bit and 64-bit is only supported for Windows Vista and Windows 7
So, simply said, there are no drivers for XP 64-bit on the OSX installation disc.
Therefor you can either try and search yourself for the XP 64-bit drivers on the various hardware manufacturer websites (but you won't find any drivers for Apple-specific hardware like the Trackpad for example) or you have to use a compatible Windows version.

  • How to find and back up the utilities and drivers for Satellite Pro M10?

OK so last time I formatted I could not find the recovery disks and installed WXP Pro from a CD, there for removing the OEM on the virtual partition!! Then spent hours finding the correct drivers etc.
Is there an easy way to find and backup the utilities and drivers I need for my system before I format the HD?

    Hi
After the OS installation from the original Microsoft CD you will have to install only the Toshiba drivers and tools. All these applications can be found on the Toshiba driver page!!!
I miss your notebook name in this posting!!! But I think your need drivers for Sat Pro M10! Am I right??? I found this notebook model in your other thread! Please confirm this!
Anyway, choose your notebook model from the driver download form and download all necessary drivers!
    Thats all ;)

  • Vista has no drivers for MacBook Pro DVD drive

When I boot into Vista, everything works well enough but I can't use the DVD drive on my MacBook Pro. Under the device manager it's listed as not having drivers and when you tell it to find them on the internet, it comes up empty handed.
Anyone know where I can find drivers for this drive? It's a Matsushita UJ-857D.

I've been having the same problem. THere was a discussion with a link that no longer exists.

  • Oh my lord, where can I get windows drivers for Macbook Pro?....

Does Apple really not have any place that I can download Windows drivers for the hardware in my August 2010 Macbook Pro?!?  I am trying to use windows through bootcamp, and I am having tons of trouble.  I know there are supposed to be drivers in the OSX DVD that came with my computer, but that is all the way back in Maryland and I go to school in Tennessee.
<rant> Sorry if I seem irritated.  I just got over a total hard drive crash in this computer that isn't even 2 years old.  I have drives that are almost 10 years old in my PC desktop..  The drive that came stock with my Macbook pro was a total piece of crap in comparison to the cheapest notebook drives at Best Buy.  Really Apple?? 5400 RPM 8mb Cache Hitachi drive?? *Pukes in mouth* </rant>

Sorry for the rant.  This is what happens everytime I have tried.  I actually have a booting Windows 7 partition on here already but it is barely running on the stock/generic windows drivers that are just there to get the OS through install.
I have an OSX 10.6 disk, but it is 10.6.0, and I wasn't even able to make that boot into the Mac installer when I installed OSX on the new hard drive.  I had to run my Macbook as a Firewire disk plugged into a Mac Pro and install it from there and update to 10.6.8.  I think this was because the 10.6.0 install disk doesn't have drivers for my 2010 revision of the Macbook Pro.  I doubt that the 10.6.0 disk has the right Windows drivers if it doesn't even have the right Mac drivers.

  • Need latest graphic card drivers for Satellite Pro M70

I've had this PC for only a few months now and i've been disappointed to have heard that my drivers are WAY out of date. The only drivers i can find are on here and they are only v.8 something (although the game reads this as an older version).
The problem comes in when i want to play games like Half Life 2 and CSS, the game crashes because these drivers are out of date. Where can i get the LATEST drivers for the ATI Mobility Radeon x700 card for the Toshiba Pro M70?

    Hi Stephanus
First of all you must not be disappointed about that because you must understand few things. Because of notebook construction it is not recommended to force graphic card to run at the limit. Using latest drivers you do exact something like that. More performance means more warmness and I hope yo know very well what happen when notebook is too hot.
I am not 100% sure but I presume that Toshiba priority is to provide hardware protection. I saw that some other notebook manufacturers offer latest drivers but there is also notice that they are not responsible if something goes wrong.
One more thing: you have mobile computer and not desktop.

  • Need Vista 64-bit drivers for Satellite Pro P100

    Hello,
I have one question about Drivers for Vista 64bit version. I have a notebook Satellite Pro P100 and search in the drivers catalogue and find only a BIOS update for 64-bit systems.
But where can I find the Hardware drivers for 64-bit versions?
    Regards
    Mischa

The 4 GB RAM issue is a known issue at the toshiba helpdesk (yes I had it and called) it's due to a problem programming the BIOS to handle more then 3GB.
As for your drivers I can tell you in advance you can find everything except SD Card driver and the microphone jack in plug support driver.
I'm sorry I forgot where I found those but the rest is out there (you can also try installing 32-bit version for the most).
Ow and the BIOS - update for 64 bit doesn't work for me so don't count on it to much lol

  • Vista drivers for Satellite Pro U400 series

    Hi,
I have a U400-142 (PSU45E) Sat Pro laptop. My IT guy wiped Vista off it (against my wishes) and stuck on XP. He even gave me a XP recovery disc! I've now removed XP and stuck back on Vista. Sadly the drives for Vista Business don't seem to be on the Toshiba Website (only XP). Does anyone know where I can get the drives or can supply them.
    Thanks

    Hi
I think the Vista drivers for the Satellite Pro U400 (PSU45E) will come soon.
So check from time to time the Toshiba European driver page because the drivers can be released in the next couple of days.
Please give me a feedback if you will find the drivers!!!

  • Official release of XP and Vista drivers for Satellite Pro P100-465 PSPAEE

When will the drivers be available for both XP and Vista for the PSPAEE? Currently there are drivers for the PSPA4E some of which work, some not, on either operating system. Yes the laptop is preinstalled with the Vista Ugrade and the drivers work but two of the driver apps are blocked by Defender (NDSTRay / ConfigFree and VolControl). I could get no options to enable these (unclassified as yet from MS so they are locked out) I was told to disable Defender by tech-support!
I have tried a clean install of my own version of Vista Business and had driver problems with that as well.
I would like to run XP until Vista is, shall we say, more efficient but would like to use drivers specifically for it so a time-frame would be very useful.
I'd also like to know why there is a plug where a finger-scanner could go underneath the 0 of the number-pad, and a blocked-off lower PCMCIA (PCI-E?) port when neither of these are available as upgrade options? Did I miss those upgrade options or is this a case recycled from another model where they are available? If the latter then that's pretty cheap for a new machine :)

The Toshiba USA site offers comprehensive information on Vista upgrade and drivers for P100/105 machines which include similar ones to those released in the UK/Europe. If you want to be at the bleading edge of technology/take a chance see

  • Drivers for hp8600 pro and mountain lion

I have iMac with Mountain Lion and just purchased HP8600 Pro printer. Tried to load the disc for drivers and told me that it is not supported. Please help...

Yesterday I received a message that an update was needed for Java and Adobe Flash. Java updated just fine but when I tried to install the Flash update I kept getting an error message. I did a permissions repair and tried to restart the computer but then the computer would only come up into recovery mode.
In recovery mode I ran another permissions repair and a disk verify. The disk verify showed a couple problems with my SSD but it also repaired them. I tried to cut and paste the error messages but there is no way to do that in recovery mode - I wish now I had written them down. I remember one mentioned an anode but it was weird because it was referencing a movie file I created with HandBrake that I KNOW was no longer on my computer. Even then I could only boot into recovery mode.
I recovered to a backup from earlier in the day, but still could only boot to recovery mode. I then recovered to a backup from earlier in the week, but still could only boot to recovery mode.
So finally today I did a clean install of 10.8 and updated all the way to 10.8.5. DiskWarrior reported the SMART status of my SSD was fine. I was able to find on Apple's servers, and install, the HP print and scan driver for my OfficeJet L7650.
I don't know what all was going on with the computer that required a fresh install - and I am annoyed because I was planning a fresh install with Mavericks and now I'll have to do it again - but my HP printing/scanning problem is fixed.

  • Boot Camp 3.0, Win XP and new Audio Drivers for MacBook Pro Core2Duo

I just installed the new drivers in Boot Camp 3.0 on my 2006 Core2Duo MacBook Pro. Before the update, my audio worked perfectly, but after the update, I have a lot of static sound coming from my speakers. I can hear the audio, but it sounds staticy, if that's a word.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Just in the process of trying it myself for audio problems after BC 3.0
    It worked.
My sound problems with BC 3.0 gone.
My problem was that there was no internal speaker sound on my MBP with the BC3 driver...only headphones, and no way to switch.

  • I need sound & wireless drivers for mackBook Pro after insalling windows 7

    Hi
I just bought a Macbook pro 2.56 and installed windows 7. I haven't been able to install driver for Audio, Ethernet controller ( wireless as well) I searched on the web and followed a a few suggestions which was trying to install it from DVD OSX install came with the MBP and as well as installing the driver from HP that some people tried and fixed the problem . I am running Parallel Desktop 4.0 and it seems I can't get to install these driver that shows are missing in device manager. Please advise .
    Thanks

    Hi matchmate,
by installing the Parallels Tools while running Windows inside Parallels usually installs all needed drivers, including sound, ethernet etc.
Parallels currently does not list 64-bit Windows 7 in their list of supported guest OS (operating systems), so it seems that you are, for the moment, out of luck.

Future updates/upgrades of Parallels might include 64-bit WIndows 7 support.

  • Cannot find all XP drivers for Satellite Pro P200-15W

    Hello everybody.
I've just installed XP Professional and now i'm having problems with some drivers. The Notebook is a Satellite Pro P200 15W, and the drivers are:
Graphic Card (The product specification says it is an Ati Mobility Radeon HD2600, and i haven't found the driver)
Wireless Card (The two drivers in toshiba's download page do not work)
Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus (I've installed the audio driver, but after this, appears this "new" device)
Also, it appears an unknown device and i have no idea about what it can be
I've been looking in a lot of pages and forums, and everithing i've tried has failed.
    Can anybody help me?
    Regards, and thank you

I've just installed all the drivers excepting 2. These drivers are:
1.- Autdio Device on High Definition Bus
    2.- PCI Memory Controller
I have not found any driver for these devices.
Also, i have som problems with Toshiba Hotkey Utility and FN Key, cause hotkey utility is installed but dont works, and the FN Key only controls keys Esc, F1, F2, F3 and F4, but not F5 (Monitor device selction), F6 and F7 (Brightness control), F8 (Wireless on-off) and F9 (Touchpad On-Off)
Finally, i have a problem with toshiba Power saver. Being Administrator, when i try to open it from Control Panel it says that i have no rights to use toshiba power saver.
