Hi Mrstenter Sorry HP page is still down.Its been more than 2 weeks since HP is revamping its support site; and its still down.Sad the HP doesnt even have a alternate link. Audio driver doesn't work for my compaq presario r4000 notebook XP system

Hello,
I just reinstall Window XP on my compaq presario r4000 notebook, and I download
all the drivers from HpCompaq offical website. But the audio driver
does't work for my "Conexant AC-Link Audio
(PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4370&SUBSYS_3085103C&REV_01\3&13C0B0C5&0&A5)".
Please help me to figure it out.

Download and install the free 7-Zip utility.

Decompress driver audio Conexant CX20468-31 AC97 and Equalizer with the 7-Zip software.
Once installed, do a right click on the file sp30578.exe, select 7-Zip/extract the files and then click OK.
Force the installation of the driver manually:
In the device manager, right click on the audio controller, and select Update driver.
Select install from a list or specific location Do not search. I will choose the driver to install.
Click on next, Have Disk, and browse.
Select the cpl3085a.inf file in the uncompressed folder sp30578, and then click Open.
Click on OK, next and finish.
Restart the computer.

Driver issue in compaq 15 s008tu

I'v installed win7 professonal 64bit in my compaq 15 s008tu notebook. And downloaded the latest drivers . but when i'm trying to install the drivers... 1st it is showing "extracting "...and then nothings happening... After a few seconds it shows an error "your softwere could'nt be installed correctly" or "this softwere does'nt meet the minimum requirment" ,like these. Not a single driver i was able to install. Please give me a solution ASAP.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your Compaq 15-s008tu Notebook PC and issues with the drivers. Here is a link to your Driver download page from HP.
Sometimes Windows 7 will not allow any changes in drivers here is a fix for that.
First, try to click the Windows icon, type services in the Search box, and then click or tap View Local Services. Scroll down to the Windows Installer. Startup type should be - Automatic, and Service Status should be - started
Restart the computer after this step and try installing again.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system.

There is no W7 32 bit HP graphics driver for the nVidia 820M graphics, so try the one directly from Nvidia.

You will need to install the Intel HD graphics driver first and reboot before installing the nVidia graphics driver.

How to get drivers and download drivers for my HP 2000-261NR notebook?

I need to download all the original drivers for my HP notebook so that they may be reinstalled on a new hard drive. The old hard drive failed. A new harddrive and Windows 7 64 bit OS have already been installed. The HP support website locks up in a continuous loop when it says it is searching for drivers. It's been almost an hour and it is still searching with no results showing. Is there still any hope to have virtualization feature for my compaq 620 energy star notebook?

Dear HP Support,
it looks like that the motherboard of my compaq 620 energy star notebook doesn't support virtualization technology, even though replace the processor with one with virtualization feature, my notebook still can't have virtualization feature. moreover it is said the CPU socket type of notebook is soldiered to the motherboard, so the processor of notebook can't be replaced. if this is the case, it seems that i can't replace the processor of my notebook.
am i correct? is there still any hope to have virtualization feature for my compaq 620 energy star notebook?

The processor can be upgraded; it is socketed. However, virtualization must be implemented in the motherboard and BIOS and without that, upgrading the processor will do no good. Which processor do you have?

See page 120....virtualization is possible on some models but I am going to assume only the models with a Core2 Duo processor. Celeron and Pentium Dual models use a different chipset on the motherboard so even if you put in a Virtualization capable CPU it would not work.

I have a " Compaq Presario C700" notebook.
Recently i have formatted it and after that Audio feature is not working.
I assume i need to install audio driver for the same.
Please tell me from where i can download the driver?

Please make sure MS-UAA has been installed properly
How?
Go to Device Manager under System Devices to see if MS UAA installed properly.
There should be a listing for Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio.
If not, you should have a PCI with yellow!
Right click it and Update Driver,
No to Connect, No to Search and last Install Automatically.
Use driver below and if it fail try to force install it
Conexant High-Definition SmartAudio 221 Driver (C700 series, Vx5xx and dvx5xx and ABOVE models)
Driver modded by silver here
Unzip to a folder..use Device Manager,right click "Audio Device on HD",choose Update driver,
No to connect, Install from a list or specific location,
Select Don't Search, I will choose the driver to install,
For the Hardware Type select 'Show All Devices'
Remove the check from "Show Compatible Hardware" and click on "Have Disk".
Next...browse to the unzipped folder and choose the "WiSVHe5.inf".
Ignore XP when it complains, Reboot.
