Drivers order for Satellite R630 needed

Hi
I have a Toshiba Satellite R630 and i had some problems installing the drivers. So I would like to know the istallation order of the drivers and if I have too istall all drivers or only the Windows 7 drivers(for example for the common Module only exist a Windows XP version)

I didnt find a full range of Win 7 32bit drivers for Satellite R630 on the Toshiba European driver page as you said, just 64bit drivers are available.
You can try to install 64bit drivers on Win 32bit system. In many cases this should be possible.
In cases where this is not possible, try the drivers from other satellite series
Its worth a try
But why you want to switch to 32bit? 64bit OS is better if your notebook supports 4GB RAM or more

I've got some issue installing Win 7 pro (wlan do not work properly,
freezing few minutes after laptop startup, unabling to run CHKDSK on C:).
Reading this forum it seems to me these aren't new issues for Toshiba users.

Unfortunately it seems that problems are hard to die. The Laptop, in fact, keeps freezing, tipically but not exclusively, after resuming from suspension due to lid closing. System can stucks during windows login or after a while that user is logged on.
During these days i've discovered that SPTD.exe x64 v.1.74 (Daemon Tools) and Nod32 x64 makes impossible launching chkdsk on %SystemDrive% (countdown stucked on 1 and hdd led blinked with very short ON state). However, even without installing those, it seems that one is not able to break the countdown (that windows shows before it starts chkdsk) pressing a key.
But maybe I should open a new topic for talcking about this.

I installed all drivers and apps as above, using latest versions for my particular hardware.
Regarding the Robson Drivers for the Intel AHCI - Advanced Host Controller Interface for the SATA disk:
With AHCI turned on in the BIOS I needed to extract Robson Package v1.5.0.1013 onto a USB key (the only version I could extract from exe), then use this when partitioning at the start of Vista install by clicking 'Load Driver' and browsing to the USB key and then the Driver folder.
NOTE: If you don't do this and AHCI is switched on in the BIOS then the installation will hang at the 'Completing Installation' stage.
Once Vista is installed and SP1 installed, when you install the Robson driver again from the list above you can use the latest version.
The latest TVAP v1.1.9 did not install and came up with a 'GetProfString is Failed' error, so I installed v1.1.4 ok.
Only one issue was the media buttons did not seem to work correctly. The following link fixed the left most 'dimmer' button and the 'media player' button. The rest, control buttons then worked as expected.

I installed Vista Home Premium first and then I had Vista SP1 on disk which I installed. Then rebooted after every driver and application install to make it clean as possible.
The entire process was done without internet connection, wireless was switched on but I never connected to my LAN. All drivers and apps were loaded from a USB key following Vista SP1 installation.
Next stage was to install AntiVirus and then connect to Internet and allow Vista to install all required updates.
There are 3 drivers that Microsoft is offering me. The first time I tried this installation I installed these and I started to get warning messages upon my WLAN connecting, but these disappeared when I disabled my LAN device.
I AM NOT INSTALLING THESE, I shall wait for updates from Toshiba. - If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
All functionality appears to work correctly.
(p.s. My Vista gets a 4.0 average in the Windows Experience Index. I can't remember the exact results but obviously 4.0 was the lowest and there were a few 5.x's in there)

Satellite R630 - need internal camera video capture software

Help!!
I have a Toshiba Satellite R630 laptop with skype installed.
The video side of skype works perfectly well but i can't seem to find any software on my laptop that enables me outside of skype to make and capture video recordings using the built in camcorder in the laptop.
What do I need to do to be able to do this?

As far as I know you should find the software in All Programs -> Toshiba
If its not installed, you can download this from the Toshiba European driver page.
After the installation, the webcam tool control bar should be available in the upper are of the display. Its slides in and out in order to use it
The webcam tool control bar can be moved to different areas (left right bottom upper area)

Need correct Win 7 driver installation order for Satellite P500/01G

Hi,
I have a Toshiba Satellite P500 and had to replace HDD after it was dropped by son.
I dont have the recovery disc so i loaded Win 7 from image on USB.
I down loaded all the drivers but have been frustrated by a few things.
The webcam seems to be impossible to get working despite trying every fix i could find online and some devices unkown in device manager.
The Toshiba site lists multiple audio,display and wireless cards wgich makes it hard to know the correct driver to install.
I needd a correct driver list and the order they should installed in
Model is Satellite P500/01G (PSPGSA-01G003)

I have Satellite P500 too and Im really satisfied with it. I hope you are also happy with your machine.
To be honest I think you should use it with original Win7 64bit version.

first off this notebook is my first contact with toshiba. browsing the site/forum is a pain!
Reminds me of browsing via isdn times...
As you might guess i dont like win 7 very much,maybe because i dont understand why it is that uncomfortable and needs to garbage the hd that much.
Its stable and working but doesnt satisfy me when it comes to customization and transparency.
So im about to replace it with win xp (or archlinux).
Before starting having the needed drivers is essential and that's where im stuck right now.
One could hope the xp internal drivers will budge or make sure the needed packages are already there. definitely i prefer the 2nd.

how shall I know which the drivers and software that I must download?
I don`t know well at which date this computer is manufactured and all the hard and software were installed?

I think you can use also an flash memory stick in order to create an recovery flash memory stick. But you dont need 32GB this would be too much just for a recovery.
I think 4GB or 8GB should be good enough.
But once again: this should be mentioned in user manual. In my user manual this was mentioned too ;)

Can't find drivers WinXP for Satellite 1115-S123

Here my Problem i have a good old Satellite 1115-S123 Notebook
and installed Windows Xp Home Edition SP3 inc. latest Patches.
Windows need the Driver for a PCI-Modem and Display Driver for the ATI-Mobility but i cant find it on Toshiba.
The next i whant is a Software for the Funktions Panel.
My Keyboard on Laptop is in english but my Language is German.
Pls Help if you can.

Go to this driver page and check the option Show Older Models

Incorrect processor drivers updated for Satellite L850-138 (PKSDLE)

Today i'm trying to update my processor drivers (2nd generation Intel i5 processor, i5-2450m), but updated drivers for this model AREN'T CORRECT, they're for 3rd generation Intel processors with Intel HD Graphics devices. It's impossible to update drivers of this model!
Repeat: Incorrect display drivers for intel processor with model Toshiba Satellite L850-138!!
It's very important to be solved soon!

This is exactly what I meant you will not be able to install the driver by executing the exe file!
The driver need to be installed via device manager:
1. Open Control Panel.
2. In the upper left portion of the Control Panel dialog, click on the words "Classic View" to cause Control Panel to switch to Classic View mode.
3. Double-click the Personalization icon, and - after the Personalization dialog appears - double-click the Display Settings option.
4. Click the Advanced Settings button at the Display Settings dialog.
5. At the Adapter tab of the Advanced Settings dialog, write down the exact name of the adapter type that is currently in use. This may be important in case you ever want to switch back to that driver.
6. After jotting down the name of the existing adapter type, click Properties. If Windows asks for permission, click Continue.
7. Click the Driver tab, and click the Update Driver button.
8. Windows will ask whether you want to search automatically or browse for driver software. Choose the "Browse my computer for driver software" option.
9. At the next dialog that appears, click the "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer" option.
10. A list of video drivers will appear, and you should scroll down and select Standard VGA Graphics Adapter. Click Next after making the selection.
11. Once Windows reports that it has successfully updated your driver software, you can click either Close and/or Ok as many times as you need to close all open Control Panel dialogs. If, during this process, Windows asks whether you want to restart your computer for the changes to take effect, click Yes.

Catalyst drivers update for Satellite L850-150

I've bought a Toshiba Satellite L850-150 (AMD Radeon HD 7670M) 3 days ago and I don't know if getting angry with AMD for restricting their drivers or with Toshiba for not updating their own drivers.
Can you give me a technical reason for making your laptops incompatible with the generic AMD drivers?
I thought an AMD Radeon HD 7670M was an AMD Radeon HD 7670M in a Toshiba, in an ASUS, in an Acer, etc. If you do your laptops incompatible with other drivers, at least, mantain your own drivers up to date.

Well, I have an other notebook from and I can update its ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 with AMD drivers.

The graphics card of my ASUS is in perfect state and it has 4 years, always with updated drivers. Come on, are you going to say to me that driver updates are dangerous to the hardware? Does anyone know if there is a colorprofile for the L350 to use within photoshop.

Something like that is not available on the Toshiba European driver page for download.
Maybe you will have to search on some 3rd party pages for any details and infos how to set best profile in Photoshop using L350.

ATI drivers update for Satellite M30X-128

My Ati mobility radeon 9700 drivers are from August 2004. Where can I find an update?

All available Toshiba drivers can be found on the Toshiba European driver page.
If you cannot find a newer driver release as from August 2004 then a newer version is not available.
However, sometimes another Toshiba notebooks are equipped with the same graphic card try to check another series which were equipped with the same graphic chip and check if an newer graphic driver version is available
