  • EVDRE error after adding new member - AFTER installing SQL 2008 R2 SP1 CU2

    Hi guys.
    We're seeing the same error as detailed in Link:[Re: EVDRE error AFTER expanding on a newly added member, sometimes....;
Basically, any new members that are added appear in the SQL tables, but throw out "EVDRE has encountered a problem..." when trying to use them.
Generally, this problem clear up if we leave the member overnight (although why this should be, I have no idea - the system does nothing extra overnight).
We have tried processing the cube, full processing of the application and even a server reboot, all to no avail.
However, the generally accepted fix for this is to upgrade SQL 2008 R2 to SP1 CU2 (SQL 10.50.2772)
This system was patched to that level before BPC was ever installed, precisely to avoid this problem.
This is not the first time that we have seen this behaviour.
I have experienced it in one other environment, which I keep meaning to rebuild.
These installations are in completely different environments.  The only similarities are that they both use Windows Server 2008 R2 and SQL 2008 R2.
The issue only started to appear in this second environment today (we have 3 other environments with the same software version that do not have the problem).
It had been assumed before today that the first problematic environment might need a rebuild due to this issue being caused by some other factor.
However, this is now far too coincidental to be the case.
Has anyone seen similar issues even after patching to v10.50.2772, or does anyone have any suggestions at all.
I could really do with a quick win on this one.
    Thanks

    Hi,
i've had the same issue in the same days. I confirm that the issue appear after adding any member and it's clear overnight.
    My system is different:
Windows Server 2008 NT 6.0 <X64> (Build 6002: Service Pack 2) Enterprise Edition
    and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Edition (SP1) - 10.0.2841.0 (X64)
The issue appears in the last months.
It's occurs only on specific machine (always the same client), in the same moment other machines can open the same input schedule and expand without problem.
I've noted also that when I cancel the added member the issue disappear, the same behaviour with APShell.
I have the same configuration on development and test environment, same version of O.S. and SQL server, but there I don't have problem. The only difference is that these two environments are single server (application and DB server on the same machine) Instead, the production environment is multiserver (2 application server + DB server).
Maybe there is a service that take a long time for sincronization (it's triggered in the night?).
Could you verify if on some machine the evdre works fine and and that when you delete the  added member evdre starts to work?
    Kind regards
    Roberto

  • Error adding new users from local server

    Hello, BPC Gurus,
We use BPC 7.0 MS SP4, MS SQL 2008 (Server name - BPCP01)
In Administration Console we're trying to add user from local server (server with SQL Database), and warning window is appeared with message "The Server Is Not Operational [BPBCP01]"
I checked Logging folder and found message:

    Any ideas?

The installation was done with a local user or with a domain user?
You know that BPC server can not be in the same time also domain controler.
Are you using Windows authentication or CMS authentication.
If you are using CMS authentication then again you can not add local users.
If you are using Windows authentication then you have to go into server Manager
Options - Define System User Groups
    Domain Type - Local Windows
System User Group Name - Local Users.
If you are using Windows 2008 make sure you addrole to have compatibility with IIS 6.because using this module bpc is adding new users.

  • Photo stream- adding new member on iPad Mini

The display for albums is not the same as on the iPhone.  I can't seem to figure out how to add a new member to my personal photo stream on the mini, only have an edit button.

While in my current photo stream, if I click edit, the only options I have on the task bar are : share-(which
Is gray'd out unless I select photos), Delete or Add.  There is no + sign.
Is there some other place I can goto to see current members on my existing stream to add another member?
While viewing all the streams, which appear as small deck cards, there is a + sign there but it's only to add a new stream.

  • Error adding new function in order template

    Hi,
When i am trying to add a new function to order Template under /contolData/Functions/ form data dictonary
    I am getting error :
Element with same name exist. The following nodes can not be added to the order.
    (no namespace):/ControlData/Functions/MyNewFunction
    (no namespace):/ControlData/Functions/MyNewFunction/componentKey
    Thanks
    Harman

    Hi Harman,
You might need to be more specific before I can help you. What have you done, and which step you run into the error? I supopse you have created a new "function" Order Component, and created the required Control Data nodes in Data Dictionary (what have you added?), right? So, when you go into the Order Template tab of the new Order Component (which would be empty since it was newly created), and you try to "select from Dictionary" the corresponding ControlData for the function (e.g. /ControlData/Functions/MyNewFunction), that such an error occurs?
Have you assigned a process for this Order Component? Studio does not allow adding control data to it unless a process is assigned.
Btw, you should define a namespace for your Order Components (and other orchestration entities). The OSM server uses namespace to locate these entities among cartridges.
    Cheers,

  • Error adding new itemWarehouseInfo

I am trying to add a new warehouse to selected items via DTW.
The error I am getting is "Update Failed-Feld cannot be updated [ODBC-1029] Application-defined or object-defined error"
Also on some items I am getting "Microsoft SQL Native Client - Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint 'OITW_PRIMARY_KEY: cannot insert duplicate keys into OITW"
The warehouse is brand new and it DOES NOT EXIST in any of the items ("Auto-Add" is unchecked!)
These are the steps I am performing in DTW:
    1. I created 2 files items.csv and itemwarehouseInfo.csv (using templates)
    2. In items.csv I added sequential recordKey field (1,2,3,....) and put item codes in the ItemCode column. Overall, I have around 600 items
    3. In itemWarehouseInfo.csv I have REcordsKey set to the same numbers as in items.csv (1,2,3...), LineNum is 0 for all lines and WarehouseCode is 113 (the name of the new warehouse I have added in SAP).
    4. In DTW, I choose to import oItems, I add items.csv on an item level (header) and itemWarehouseInfo.csv on itemWarehouseInfo level
    5. Next, I check to make sure Target Data is correct, then i choose "Update Existing Object" in the Test Mode
i also tried doing an Insert in the test mode, but it also failed. Any ideas?
    thanks

I don't think the problem is in the way it's formatted. Like I said, when I view the "Target Data" tab, it is correct, so data is pulled accurately from the files.
The problem is what happens afterwards. I am indeed trying it in test environment.
    here's what I am importing
    in items.csv
    recordKey itemcode
    1        10001
    (all other fields are blank)
    in itemWArehouseInfo I have
    REcordKey LineNUm  WarehouseCode
    1                0               113

  • Error adding new node to treetable automatically

We implemented a page with a treetable. We don't use a ViewObject/Query to build the tree but a pojo method, because we have a complex data model to display on the tree (dynamic tree level, multiple object types on one tree level, etc.). So we created a pojo method to build the tree -> created a data control for this method/class and dragged the method onto the tree component.
In a second step we impemented several buttons on the page to delete nodes, set values, change style, etc. which works fine.
We got stuck extending the page for a function to add a new node. When the tree is displayed for the first time we can add new nodes on every existing node. Adding a node to a new node only works if we decollapse the new node first. We get an error if we create a new node A and then try to add another node on the new node A without decollapsing node A in advance.
As follows the code and the error stack. Any ideas?

  • Network Errors Adding New Router

    Hello,
I posted this in the iChat forum earlier today but I think this would a better forum to ask this question. We were using a D-Link DI-604 Wired Router for about 5 years until yesterday when we purchased a new D-Link EBR-2310 Wired Router. Ever since connecting the new router, about every 15 to 30 minutes in the console log on my iMac 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, I get the following errors now:
    Jun 12 17:31:57 <computer name> kernel[0]: AppleYukon2: 00000001,00000000 sk98nif - deadmanCheck - nothing received, resetting chip
    Jun 12 17:31:57 <computer name> configd[14]: AppleTalk shutdown
    Jun 12 17:31:59 <computer name> configd[14]: AppleTalk shutdown complete
    Jun 12 17:32:01 <computer name> kernel[0]: AppleYukon2: error - Link Partner not Auto-Neg. able
    Jun 12 17:32:01 <computer name> configd[14]: AppleTalk startup
    Jun 12 17:32:01 <computer name> kernel[0]: AppleYukon2: 00000000,00000000 skgehw - cppSkDrvEvent - SKDRV_LIPA_NOT_ANABLE: link partner not auto-negotiate capable, port, phy r6
    Jun 12 17:32:01 <computer name> kernel[0]: Ethernet [AppleYukon2]: Link up on en0, 10-Megabit, Half-duplex, No flow-control, Debug [796d,0c08,0de1,0200,0021,0000]
    Jun 12 17:32:07 <computer name> configd[14]: AppleTalk startup complete
This never happened with the old router and I can't figure out what is causing this (I keep a close watch on my console log and I know for sure that this problem just started since connecting the new router). The new router is cascaded to an older Farallon 10Mbps ethernet hub (exactly the same way the old router was set up) so at first, I thought the errors may have been due to the fact that I had the WAN Port Speed of the new router set to "Auto 10/100Mbps" causing my iMac to (unsuccessfully) try to negotiate a faster port speed. On the old router, we had the WAN Port Speed set to 10Mbps and I never noticed any of these errors so I changed the WAN Port Speed on the new router to 10Mbps instead of "Auto 10/100Mbps" and we're still getting the same thing happening.
I've tried connecting my iMac directly to the router and directly to the cascaded Farallon 10Mbps ethernet hub and either way, it makes no difference. Our internet connection works fine but we get the odd error when sending a print job to our networked HP LaserJet with the new router. Does anyone with any networking experience have any idea what can be causing this? Is there a way to change the 10/100Mbps speed on the iMac itself rather than on the router?
    Thanks so much,
    Gerard

Is there a way to change the 10/100Mbps speed on the iMac itself rather than on the router?
    System Preferences/Network/Advanced/Ethernet - Configure manually
The book on this router at Newegg is that it works for some people, but others using Vista notice the router can't handle multiple users very well. Disconnects, slow throughput, resets. It's not a very costly router, and hasn't had a firmware update since 2007. Maybe Vista pushes it too hard?
I'm just guessing that the deadmanCheck reference in the error is some sort of test to see if anybody is there and when the router doesn't respond, the Mac reset's it's ethernet chips.
Since you've had so many problems with the programs, firewall and port routing, and incomprehensible tech support, you might look at one of the competitors products that can keep up with your equipment.

  • Error adding new business partners

    Hi all,
When we try to add new business partners, we get the system error message stating "Accounts receivable/payable is missing [Business Partner - Accounts Receivable/Payable]  [Message 3502-14].   This is a bit of a worry as it does note happen in the test database, and this occurs with every account that tries to carry the action out. Anyone got any ideas?
    Cheers,
    Nick Reese

    Hi Nick,
the application is telling you that one of the mandatory control accounts is not pre-defined under Administration -> Set-up -> Financial -> GL account deteremination -> Purchasing -> General tab.
Not all localisations come with all default GL accounts pre-determined & the company accountant should either enter their preferred default accounts in the GL account determination or manually enter it/them in the individual BP master record. The system will not allow addition of a BP is the mandatory accounts are not defined & return with the error message you experience.
Therefore, either enter all accounts in the GL account determination, or, while you're creating the new BP, go to the tab 'accounting' -> tab 'general' & enter the accounts payable account. Click on the button with the 3 dots toalso  define the DP receivables & open debts accounts if necessary.
It happens quite often that an accountant pre-defines the most common control accounts, but leaves the more rarely used ones blank, such as the EU Accounts payable, for example. So if you create an EU vendor & don't enter the account manually, the error message is triggered.
    All the best,
    Kerstin

  • Error adding new users in Portal 9ias Release 2

We have just built a new OracleIAS Server using 9.0.2 with Portal installed. Everything works just fine with Portal until I try to add a new user. When I go into the administration section and click on "Create New Users" it returns a page cannot be displayed error.
The URL it is trying to access is: pls/orasso/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_login
I cannot find anything in the error_log files for the IAS Server.
    1) Where would I find the errors logged by this process?
    2) Anyone ever seen this before?
    3) Any fixes?

    Richard Richard,
I'm having the exact problem. I opened a TAR with Oracle, but do not have a resolution for it. Please let me know when you have a solution. I tried starting and restarting the OC4J_DAS service but still have the same problem.
    Thank,

  • Error adding new records in an user table

    Hi
I'm trying to add a new record in an user table, and after calling the add method I get the next error message:
"Generating this document requieres numbering to be determined for the document".
I've defined my user table as Master Data, and the source code is as follows:
    dim m_UserTable as SAPbobsCOM.UserTable
    m_UserTable = SboCompany.UserTables.Item(UserTable)
    m_usertable.Code = NewValue
    m_usertable.UserFields.Fields.Item("U_FIELD1").Value = NewValue
    if m_userTable.add() <> 0 then
      SboCompany.GetLastError(lngError, strerror)
      SboApplication.MessageBox(strerror)
    end if
    Thanks and Best Regards
    Dani

    Hi Dani,
when you create a user Table as "Master Data", this table becomes a part of a UDO (User Data Object) that you have to create too.
In the version 2004A, you don't have the possibility to enter information in these kind of table using the DI. You can only do it thru the application.
You can look at a post called "Access to UDO via DI" posted 16th December 2004
