DRM ERROR I CAN'T READ MY E-BOOKS

I have the following error when I tried to read my e-books bought from Amazon in years 2003 and 2004

Somebody knows the solution? It's very frustrating pay for them and can not read them for software problems. Adobe Latinamerica support conclude that these books are not compatible with Digital Editions!!! it's incredible why not?
Their solution was to re-install Adober Reader 6, but it doesn't work either. Amazon said they discontinued their e-book library.
HELP PLEASE!! How can get a real solution and not only excuses!!

If you do choose to open a case please include a link to this discussion so the agent can see what I wrote.. I don't know that there's any such thing as a 'no compatible' ebook. It is, however, possible to screw up the book's activations in such a way that it's then unreadable. So, looking at some internal docs, it looks like Voucher Engine error 147 only occurs with Acrobat reader 6, 7 or Digital Editions 1.0. The problem you are seeing is due, unfortunately, to corruption of your vouchers. The solution is to remove the old vouchers and create new ones. o Exit Digital Editions o Delete the folder Documents and Settings/<username>/Application Data/Adobe/Digital Editions/Voucher. o Also delete the file manifest.xml in your My Digital Editions folder. o Restart Digital Editions Digital Editions should re-migrate your books and you should be able to open it again. IIf you bought your books using Acrobat or Reader, then you are done. For books bought with Adobe Digital Editions, you will need to re-download your books. Most vendors are happy to allow this. Again, if you're using ADE 1.5 you're -not- supposed to have this problem. But these are the pioneering days of ebooks, and as with all pioneers, sometimes there are problems. Hope someone has some ideas, cause I'm out.
The error (We can't Read the package) doesn't really tell me much.
I have tried to upload this package for a couple weeks and I did see some information one time about a "username" variable not being valid. I have not be able to reproduce the information about "username" for several

.ics file error : "iCal can't read this calendar file."

I would like to add my flight itinery to my iCal. Downloaded the .ics file from the BA website. When double clicking on it and dragging it to iCal this message pops up: "iCal can’t read this calendar file. No events have been added to your iCal calendar."

I also tried converting it to .vcs. Then iCal asks which calender I would like to add it to but still comes up with above message.

Hi!
I managed to import the file when I deleted everything that had to do with HTML code at the end of the file. I'm not exactly sure about the purpose of this code, but deleting it left me with my flights inside my calendar, exactly as I wanted.

Welcome to the Support Communities! If you are not able to connect to the iTunes Store to download iBooks, restart the device. If the issue persists, try these additional steps:

Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update(iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.

External HDD Error -36 ("can't read or write the file")

hi,
just got my WD Mybook 500GB. I reformated the HD to Mac OS Extended (journaled), 1 partition - and wanted to copy my files onto it. after copying 126 GB, the disk doesn't except any more files (any type) - with prompting me with this message: "File couldn't be read or written" Error -36.
does anyone know why?

Sometimes removing this file has fixed writing issues and reading issues of MyBook drives:
Macintosh HD -> Library -> Launch Daemons called com.WD.WDDriveServices.plist
Restart and see if it does.
If not, sounds like the drive case in question has an old IDE bus. I'd return it to the place you bought it, or ask Western Digital to apply a firmware update to it so it can write past 128 GB. This article seems to be relevant to your problem:

A -36 error is an input/output error.

Error-208 Can't read iTunes library

When I open iTunes in MacOS X I keep getting an error message that says iTunes Library can't be read: Error - 208. Afterwards iTunes "unexpectedly" quits. iTunes still works in Classic Environment or using MacOS 9. What is wrong and what do I need to do to fix the problem in MacOS X mode?

Converting WAV files to AAC Error convert Can't read from or write to disk

For several weeks I had no problem converting WAV files (from an Olympus Digital Recorder) to AAC format in iTunes, then one day I clicked "Convert Selection to AAC" and received the message "Error occured while converting the file. The disk could not be read from or written to." There is no Error # associated with the Error message.

I recently spent over 14 hours converting all my CD songs to WAV. WAV conversion was the only one of two options available with my older Nero software, and MP3 conversion was not an option. I intended to make mixed CD's. By the time I was done, I had over 300 songs that take up over 17 GB in this WAV format.
The thought of sitting even more endless hours making these CD's made me even more exhausted, and I realized that I should get with the times and get an MP3 player. So, I bought an iPod directly from Apple two days ago (12/16), and get this, MaclessInAZ, the sales person told me that I all my WAV files could be imported into my iPod with iTunes. (!!!)
I am very glad to have read this thread before I got my iPod. I would have been so upset if there was no easy solution. My new iPod is supposed to be delivered tomorrow, and I am looking forward to getting it. Many thanks to weavercs for the information on the Switch program that converts WAV to MP3. Even if I decide to buy the full version of Switch, it is a lot less expensive than other conversion programs that I just found online, like Roxio.

I am still facing this issue.
I have retried multiple times. There are no spaces in my app manifest.
Can you please tell what should be done here ? THis is such an old issue and should have been fixed by now.
It is so irritating for an app developers perspective, I have wasted so much time just for uploading the app.

MPEG Streamclip 1.8 error message "can't read frame size"

I receive message "Error: cant read frame size" after importing a QuickTime Movie file into MPEG Streamclip and choosing File-> Export to QuickTime as suggested in another forum to resolve the problem of no sound when importing a still camera QuickTime Movie file like the following into iMovie.
(MPEG Streamclip imports the sound but no video.)
Bottom line, how do I get the video and sound together in iMovie or Final Cut Express?

Solved my problem by opening the file in MPEG Streamclip and choosing Demux to AIFF and saving the AIFF file to the same folder as the original, then drag the AIFF file to the sound track in iMovie and the original file to the video track.

Can I read Kindle editions books on Adobe Digital Editions

So far I have only read E books through the library, but now I want to buy a book and I'm not sure if Kindle edition books will work.

Amazon has chosen not to support ePub files on the Kindle (as well as specifically not support ePubs with Adobe DRM). Because of this there is no way (that I can tell you about) for you to view ePub files (with Adobe DRM) on the Kindle.

My local newspaper states they will release a ebook this month through itunes. At another point in this announcement they refer to it as a ipod book. I am interested in the subject of this future ebook and want to know if and how I will be able to read it as well as other ebooks on my macbook pro. Thanks for any help you can provide.

If it is DRM-protected and distributed through the iTunes Store, you won't be able to read it on a Mac, only on iDevices. If not, there may be a variety of possibilities. You won't know until you learn how it is actually published and distributed.

I think I have sussed this. Go to https://itunesconnect.apple.com and then go to Manage My Books and you can view the details there and maybe it shows - 'Not On Store' as mine does. it says that it is in approval stage, hence cant see it yet. Hope this helps.

After many trial and error, you may be able to upload .appxupload file after creating the package without creating appxbundle. It doesn't work if it is created with appxbundle. I still don't understand why a package couldn't be read while trying to upload when the package passed local validation. Remove spaces from the name(s) of the file(s) they reference in their app manifest. this may work too.
