  • Adobe Media Encoder CS4 converted FLV files have sound but no picture

    Hi,
It would be great if anyone can help - I am using the latest trial version of Flash CS4. I have used the Media Encoder to convert mpg4 files to FLV however the resultant files play with sound but no picture - just a black screen. Is there a solution to this issue?

mostly this problem is caused by lacking of
some nessery codec. Which means when reencoding your video to flv, it can not generate the video.
Does Riva FLV encoder needs any extra codec? I am using Moyea Flash Video MX 6. It do not need any extra code. It needs in the former versions but in version 6 it can convert nearly any video format now.

  • Adobe Media Encoder CS4 converts MOV to F4V without sound

    My environment:
    Mac OS X 10.6.2
MacPro dual 2.66 dual-core Xeon with 2 GB RAM
Adobe Creative Suite Design Premium CS4
I have a QuickTime movie that has both audio and video components. It plays just fine in the Finder and QuickTime Player. I’m trying to convert it to Flash video for posting as a streaming file to our Web server. I’m new to Flash, and this is a bit of an experiment, so it’s quite possible I am going about it all the wrong way, but whenever I use the Adobe Media Encoder to convert the MOV file (51.8 MB, 1152×648 frame, PCM stereo audio, H.264 MPEG-3 codec) to F4V for insertion into Flash and eventual generation of a SWF file, all I get out of the encoder is a video. The video claims to have AAC-encoded stereo sound, but nothing plays.
Does anyone have any suggestions for what I could be doing wrong or what’s not happening properly? I’ve applied all available patches to all CS4 applications. The movie was originally exported from Keynote, if that makes any difference.
    Thanks for any help!

  • Using Media Manager to convert movies to apple pro res

Using Media Manager to convert movies to apple pro res,  How can I convert my existing media files  from quicktime movies into apple pro res 422 ?
After they are converted will I have to re-point my fcp project to the converted files?
Thank You for taking time to answer these
    Carl

    Sorry, I am not following.
You said you have converted them to prores LT & are having this issue, or is it with H264 files in your edit?
How did you convert? using media manager, or compressor?
if you still are using the H264 media that would be the issue.
That is not an editing codec. it is a delivery codec.
The thing to have done would have been to convert to prores before you started editing.
    or did you do that?

  • Video faster than audio when use Adobe Media Encoder to convert f4v to mp4

I am using Adobe Captivate 5 on a  mac record a demonstration, and I have published my project to .f4v. Now I am using Adobe Media encoder to convert the .f4v file to .mp4 (to play on an ipod). The output LOOKS good, but the video is running much faster than the audio. To be clear, the audio is running at the correct pace, but the video is going by much too quickly.

From Captivate, I tried changing the fps to a variety of speeds (12, 20, 30, 40, 60) when publishing to f4v. Then in Adobe Media Encoder, when I converted to mp4, I tried keeping the fps the same as the source f4v, reducing it, or increasing it.  After all these experiments, I found that changing the fps in Adobe Media Encoder had no effect at all. Only changing the fps in the source f4v had an effect.  Reducing it to 12 made the probelm worse (the video went by even faster), and increasing it as high as 60 made a SLIGHT improvement, but not enough to get things in sync. Changing the key frame distance in AME had no effect.

  • N96 DRM media

I downloaded content off the bbc Vod website, using the code and my imei number of my phone, the content i downloaded works fine on my pc but windows media player 11 will not sync the DRM protected stuff to the phone it says device needs to be updated, i have the latest firmware update, i have the DRM license so i can sync but it still wont, anyone know what i may need to do?
    N96 software 11.101

You need to connect the Phone using PC SUITE mode or MEDIA TRANSFER.
Then you should see MTP devices (Phone memory, Mass Memory and Memory card) in WMP11.
BUT, your contents may not allow you to sync them. DRM may be preventing this. So check with the content provider and ask if they support sync with a mobile player.

  • Adobe Media Encoder CS4 converting mp4 to FLV

    Hi,
First up why is there no forum for Adobe Media Encoder CS4?
My issue is whith converting MP4 to flv.
The video is added to the que.
Problem is no video picture is shown, during the convert process.
When I go into setting and move the play head along the timeline no video is shown.

Does Adobe have some problem with MP4 created by Apple HD Movie?
    Regards,
    Simon

well im guessing or atleast hoping you 3 who posted on here got it sorted out by now but thought id post on here to help anybody who has the same problem in the future.i had the same problem and after searching a few different forums i found that mp4's are a bit troublesome when converting them.apparently a good way to get around it is opening the mp4 in quicktimepro  and then exporting it as an flv.i dont know if its that simple but i dont have quicktimepro anyway so i couldnt do it.
but here is what i did- i uploaded my video to youtube.
then using     keepvid.com   i downloaded it from youtube as an flv file.(you have the choice of a few different file types)
now it works in my flash perfectly.
hope it helps somebody and if anybody knows an easier way (there must be one) please let me know
    cheers

  • Nomad Zen Xtra - Why is Media Player 10 Converting to W

When I copy MP3's to Zen Xtra using Media Player 0, it converts the MP3's to WMA and I lose the track information. Can I avoid this? My MP3's are encoded at 300k. I do not want to convert to WMA...Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In WMP 0, go to Tools and select the Nomad in the Devices tab, then the Properties button. You'll now see Synchronize and Quality tabs. Select the Quality tab and uncheck "Convert files as required by this device"

  • E71X: wrong mode for media transfer, Nokia Ovi Pla...

I know this subject has been touched on before, but I'm frustrated!  I connect my e71x to the USB port with the cable, and select PC Suite mode.  I go into Nokia PC Suite, and then select Explore Ovi Music.  That invokes the Nokia Ovi Player, which tells me "your Nokia device is connected in the wrong mode for music transfer.  To connect in the right mode, try unplugging and reconnecting your device and ... choose one of the following: Media Player, Printing & Media, Media Transfer".  It also says to click on a "connect" button, but that doesn't do anything.
So I unplug and reconnect my E71x, which I have configured to prompt me on connection.  I select Media Transfer per the above message.  Then I get the information: "connecting your device: 1) Connect your mobile or MTP-compatible  device to your PC using a compatible USB cable, 2) on the device, select the mode that allows you to transfer media and, if prompted, select OK".
It appears that Nokia Ovi Player does not respond to either mode PC Suite or Media Transfer.  I tried reinstalling, and the version of Nokia Ovi Player I have is 2.0.1106.00.  The version of Nokia PC Suite is 7.1.40.1 - both should be pretty current!   Any ideas?

I have just tried to use the Ovi Player for the first time and encountered the same problems as above on my 6500 Slide.  I had issues with the Ovi Suite (which I recently uninstalled) only to find that the Nokia Suite had adopted 'Ovi Player' for transferring music. Why? It worked perfectly!  I've read a few posts on both features,  and, it seems that the new programmes aren't going down too well with users! Are Nokia going to iron out these problems, and, how did they release this new software with so many inherent faults?  Anyone out there any solutions as to how I can transfer music from my PC (Windows Vista home premium) to my mobile in the meantime.

  • Adobe Media Encoder CS4, converting mp4 to flv - seriously drifting sync

(Not sure this is the right forum for this - I didn't see a forum for AME but it's being used in conjunction with Flash)
I've  been trying to convert a 2:54 mp4 to flv, and when I'm done, when  playing the resulting flv it tells me it's now 3:37. Of course the audio  runs out at 2:54 so I have half a minute of silence.
The mp4 was ripped from DVD using HandBrake.
I  tried converting using a couple of different presets and keep getting  the same result. I can't seem to locate any sort of "keep video locked  to audio" option in AME CS4.
Maybe it's a frame rate  issue? I'm not sure how to determine the frame rate of the original, but  the DVD is a burn from the video house that produced the video - US  format. So probably 29.97?
    Help!
    - Bob

Well that did work. Unfortunately Viddler turned the previously 16 x 9 video into 4 x 3. Not sure why - found a thread there where they suggest this could happen if exported from a Mac. My source was ripped from a DVD (though it may have originated on a Mac).
So now we're just linking to it on YouTube. Crappy solution but best I'm going to get under the circumstances.
    Thanks for the suggestion.

  • Flash won't import mp4 from Camtasia, demands an FLV; Media encoder won't convert to FLV; H264 isn't accepted either.

Flash won't accept the basic mp4 output from Camtasia, it tells me to use Media Encoder to convert it to FLV.
Media Encoder won't convert to F4V or FLV.
I used Media Encoder to convert to H264, but Flash will still not import it.
Could somebody please tell me the best export / convert / import options for getting Camtasia video into Flash (as an embedded video - can't do streaming).
    Any tips much appreciated.
Flash Pro CC 2014 and Camtasia Studio 8.4.4.

  • Media encoder inserts black frame at beginning, when converting my MOV file to H264 for YouTube 720pHD

I'm using Adobe Media Encoder to convert my MOV file to H264, and selecting "YouTube 720pHD" (for Instagram) as I was instructed by someone at Adobe over the phone. But it inserts a black frame at the beginning or end. When I open the converted file on my desktop, the black frame is the first frame. After I upload to Instagram, the black frame is at the end. How can I get rid of the black frame?! Please help!

    Welcome to the furum, Forrest.
Hmmm. I don't recall hearing of that problem. There may not be many users who can offer a solution.
This workaround should work, however: Open the exported movie in QuickTime Player and remove the first frame. (I think it's only the first frame that is black, not the first second. Remove all the black, whatever it is.) Save the movie. That may cause QT Player to save it into a new movie. Use the modified movie for your Web site. QuickTime Pro is required — $30 from Apple.
Note that you've posted in the iMovie 6 forum, not the iMovie HD forum for iMovie 5. There are fewer current iMovie 5 users here. Most were iM5 users, however, so someone might remember this problem.

  • Adobe Media Encoder converts only audio

I am using Adobe Media Encoder to convert .mov files (to f4v). Some of the videos are converted fine, but some end up with no video, only audio. Interestingly, the ones that have audio only were recorded with the camera (an iphone) held vertically. That shouldn't make a difference, but here it seems to. Any suggestions?
