Hi Experts,
We were looking to apply the following patch:
Patch 12962660: Patch Set Update: 11.1.2.1.103 to fix login issues in hyperion DRM.
Can you provide any database schema updates with this? Or specific instructions on how to apply this?

What version do you update?
I've updated 11.1.2.0. to 11.1.2.1. and all db changes were made by Configuraion Console, but there were some problems with datetime type.

  • Still having problems with Yahoo's Music Service and my Zen Mi

    I think I did a pretty good job searching the forums for a solution to my issue, so please don't flame me if I missed something
    I'm having major licensing issues with Yahoo's Unlimited Music Service, even after doing the following:
    . I'm running Windows XP SP2 (all updates accounted for and installed)
    2. I'm running Windows Media Player 0
    3. I installed the Windows DRM patch for this issue: KB8922
    4. I upgraded the firmware for my Zen Micro from the factory setting to .02.05
    I'm still getting errors in MediaSource stating that a license is required to transfer the file I downloaded from Yahoo Unlimited. I get similar errors when trying to transfer in Yahoo's Music Engine.
    I read in the forums that firmware version .02.05 is more recent than 2..02. Is this correct? If so, shouldn't version .02.05 have all the enhancements and functionality found in v2?
    In any case, this was a gift to my wife for her birthday, and it's currently useless to her at the moment, so any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated!

    I've tried updating from .02.05 to 2..02 several times (although other posts on this forum suggest that this shouldn't be possible). After the dri've on the Micro is formatted during the upgrade process, I get an error when the unit tries to reboot stating that the unit 'can't be started correctly', and that I should reboot and start the process over. The update process fails in the same place every time.
    I've tried disabling the Enable Detector feature in MediaSource before updating, but that doesn't help either.
    Now, I'm guessing that the only way to upgrade to 2..02 was from .0.03, but I evidently chose poorly. Is there <EM>anything</EM> I can do, or am I stuck with crippled functionality?

  • Acer C710 - USB Ports not working with patched kernel

    Acer C710-844G01ii
    I have replaced the original SSD with a Mushkin 120GB SSD (MKNSSDCR120GB-7)
    I've used John Lewis' script at https://johnlewis.ie to flash the firmware. It works great. It loads 64 bit dual arch iso (2014.10.01) written to a USB flashdrive (Well, I'm actually using SD card in a USB reader. Not sure if that makes a difference) without having to utilize the workaround listed on the Chromebook wiki page (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ch … stallation). I just create a regular arch bootable usb and it seems to work fine. I can use the bootable USB tools. I can install arch to the hard disk fine. (I did this a couple of times on the original SSD that came with the chromebook before I replaced it, so I know it works without having to change the SSD).
    The problem I'm having occurs after I install the patched kernel (linux-chromebook-3.16.4-1-x86_64 or linux-mainline-chromebook-3.17-1-x86_64 I've tried them both. Both times I wiped the hard drive and went through the entire install process from scratch). After booting, everything loads up fine except that I lose functionality of my USB ports. The custom BIOS still reads the arch bootable USB if I choose to boot into it. If I boot from the hard drive though, as soon as the patched kernel loads, the USB ports are not working.
    The output of
    dmesg | tail
    is the same before and after inserting a flash drive into a usb port.
    Running the command
    lsusb
    gives output

    Updated the system, now using arch kernel 3.17.1-1

  • DRM Export creation issue

    Hi all, I'm facing issue with POC at the customer site.
    I cannot create any type of export.
    DRM 11.1.2.1.000 has been installed on Win 2008 server 64 bit machine - polish locale.
    I applied straight away after installtion 105 patch. Repositor has been created. We needed later to change server locale to english US.
    I imported customer's hierarchies fine and when I tried to create any type of export I'm getting following message:
    There was an error proressing your request
    The server returned an error: The added or subtracted value results in an un-representable DateTime. Parameter name: value
    I tried to google the issue - not successful - only one thread on OTN but not with resolution.
    I applied 106 patchset and still getting the same issue.
    Other things work slick in DRM in range I needed so far.
    Could you please forward to somebody that faced that issue if you're not familiar with

    We encountered the same problem running DRM exports in Ireland.
    Subsequently discovered the following SR opened by Oracle :
    SR: 3-5740964101 opened for the issue are having with running exports from DRM.
    Problem Description: Trying to run or save an export in DRM gives the following error message:
    +"The added or subtracted value results in an unrepresentable DateTime. Paramater name: value"+
    This error only occurs for non-US (in Ireland) where the DRM instance is hosted in the US; this error does not occur for US based users.
    We resolved this by installing patch Hyperion Data Relationship Management 11.1.2.1.107 Patch Set Update

  • Problems with Dynamic Remastering (DRM) with 10.2.0.4 on Linux Itanium

    One of my customers is having severe RAC performance issues, which appeared three times so far. Each time, the performance impact lasted around 10 minutes and caused basically a hang of the application. ASH investigation revealed that the time frame of performance issues exactly matches a DRM operation of the biggest segment of the database. During the problematic time period, there are +50 instead of 2-3 active sessions and they are mostly waiting for gc related events: "gc buffer busy","gc cr block busy", "gc cr block 2-way", "gc current block 2-way", "gc current request", "gc current grant busy", etc.
    In addition, there is one single session which has wait event "kjbdrmcvtq lmon drm quiesce: ping completion" (on instance 1) and 1-3 sessions with wait event "gc remaster". (on instance 2)
    Does anybody have any experience with DRM problems with 10.2.0.4 on Linux Itanium?
    I know that it is possible to deactive DRM, but usually it should be beneficial to have it enabled. I could not find any reports of performance impact during DRM operation on metalink. Support is involved but clueless.

    Oracle Support has requested stacktraces of lms processes during the period of performance degradation. We decided to enable OSWatcher to get systemwide linux data and procwatcher to get lms process stacktraces. We created a Grid Control User Defined Metric to check whether the symptoms of a DRM performance problem is taking place. Then we triggered the lms stacktraces with a Grid Control Response Action script of the UDM.
    Oracle Support has also requested global hanganalyze and system state dumps but we decided not to collect system state dumps because of the big additional performance impact.
    The oswatcher data showed that during the drm period, the lms processes had very high CPU resource utilization.
    In the meantime Oracle Support has confirmed that we are hitting 6960699. We have received patch 8516675 which includes the bugfix and have installed it. Now, we are waiting to see whether this indeed fixes the issue.

  • Problem installing DRM 11.1.1.2.01 on Win7 x64

    I am trying to apply the DRM v11.1.1.2 patch 01 server installation on my Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit OS. But the installation quits abruptly, leaving just an error message in the application event log (below).
    I have also tried the 11.1.1.2 installer, but with the same result.
    In the installation docs, all I can find about installing on an 64-bit OS, is that .Net 2.0 x64 must be installed prior to applying DRM. Which it is.
    Anybody successfully installed DRM on Win 7 x64, or have any ideas on how to solve this?
    Appreciate input on this issue.

  • Boolean property export issue in DRM

    Hi All,
    We have a boolean property in DRM. In DRM 1.1.2, when we export this property to Database, it populates value as -1 for True and 0 for false.
    But in DRM 1.2.2, the values appear as TRUE/FALSE in the column in the database. Is this an expected change in the DRM behaviour?
    This is causing problems in our integration logic.
    Any help on this would be appreciated.

    With the latest patch .306 and a series of prior ones , its more like the Character encoding sets have started working in DRM and they will slip in special characters here and there, I have faced this with the latest releases of DRM.
    It would be advisable to use US ASCII encoding or Western European Windows.. that should solve your issue.
    If you have to make changes on all the exports and if they are too many in number then search xml tag
    <drm:CodePage>20127</drm:CodePage>
    and make sure the code page is 20127 which represents US ASCII.

  • Hyperion DRM SDK 11.1.1 vs. WDK 11.1.2

    We're implementing DRM 11.1.2 and will need to do some custom work.
    I've downloaded both the WDK and the SDK from: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/data-relationship-management/downloads/index.html
    The WDK is at version 11.1.2 and the SDK is at 11.1.1. Is the version difference significant? I can't find anything that states whether the SDK (which uses a Java API) will continue to be supported or if Oracle is trying to move everyone to the WDK (which uses Web Services).
    Does anyone know why the SDK / Java API is still a version behind?

    Have to disagree with previous, 11.1.2 has many bugs apparently, even with the next patch due shortly, have been advised to avoid it for another 6 months. Just went from 9.3.2 to 11.1.12 with only one problem; labels no longer update in exports if you change them. Told they did this to help performance issues.

  • Hal-flash to watch DRM-protected content in firefox

    Hi guys,
    I'm facing a weird problem that I cannot find solution for.
    I have followed wiki and installed hal-flash + udisks2 on my desktop PC since I wanted to watch some DRM-protected content on internet (person of interest to be precise). All worked great.
    But then my wife, who also is running Arch on her laptop (samsung 900x series) wanted to watch the same content on it.
    So I quickly ssh-ed to her laptop, installed exactly the same hal-flash and udisks2 + I also removed all the firefox cache - but no success, flash video that is playing nicely on my PC does not play on her laptop.
    I checked all relevant software version (that is firefox, hal-flash, udisks2) - the same on both PC and laptop. To my simple understanding it should work on both computers...
    I'm feeling a bit dumb because I told my wife using linux will be as easy as using windws and now it seems I cannot figure out something that seems to be a 'simple thing' from her point of view (obviously after reading wiki I know it's a bit more complex and in the same time interesting issue)...
    So I humbly ask somebody to direct me what may be wrong here?

    Ok, so I installed pipelight and also I enabled flash - however flash is not appearing on the list of plugins. So I removed my flashplugin (the standard one I installed when setting up firefox) - it seems firefox does not recognise that there is a plugin installed... Trilby, should flash appear on about:plugins page?

    yes, it suits the purpose: photo editing while on the trip (good battery life).
    I had to customize a lot of things. This did not take much time but with Toshiba you are on your own as most users have Acer netbooks or AOpen and there is Arch wiki help for these, while Toshiba netbook does not have wiki entry.
    The only thing that does not work is suspend to RAM (kernel unable to handle dynamic CPU settings in BIOS), however suspend to disk works very well and system wakes up in less that 5s so I do not miss suspend to RAM very much.

    Hello, please help me up on this one, I'm rather new to Archlinux (couple months) but i really like it and feel confortable with it.
    My problem is this, i have a laptop with an ATI card (ati radeon xpress 200m), which recently was running fine with the catalyst driver on a downgraded system (kernel 2.6.29). After reading about the new radeon driver and KMS support on the new kernel i decided to try it out and update my system.
    Almost everything works fine, except suspension and resuming, which is strange since the site http://www.x.org/wiki/RadeonFeature marks suspension support as "done" for my card.
    If I undestood right, the issue is related to DRI (which i want to be on) explained in this bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … mments=all

    I've tried to compile the kernel and patch the file rs400.c but i get an error, it seems i dont know how to patch or some change must be done to the patch to work on ARCH.
    please help me patch the kernel, i've followed the archwiki without results. i have installed abs and copied the core/kernel26 folder to my home.
    How could i successfuly apply the patch to the 2.6.31 kernel?

    You cannot use this patch for 2.6.31 kernels. It is for the upcoming 2.6.32 release. You should wait until 2.6.32 gets released or, if you are the adventurous type of person, use the latest 2.6.32-rc kernel from www.kernel.org. You will have to compile it yourself, though.

    we applied patch 11.1.2.3.500 on 11.1.2.3. and the patch has successfully completed.and we have some problem with deployment.
    in read me it was mentioned as below

    Weblogic. The oracle-epm-drm-webservices.ear file is located in the
    %EPM_ORACLE_HOME%\products\DataRelationshipManagement\api directory.This step is only required if
    applying this patch to an 11.1.2.3.000 installation where the Web service application
    has been previously deployed. See the “Redeploying a Web Services
    Application” section in the Oracle® Fusion Middleware Security and
    Administrator's Guide for Web Services for instructions to redeploy using
    Oracle Enterprise Manager.
    we tried to redeploy but when we look into oracle weblogic server we dint find erp drm webservices on weblogic server. i think it is not deployed previously. any other way to find weather it is deploed eaerlier.
    if it is not deployed how to proceed further.

    Please ingnore this step becuase in your ENV that .ear is not deployed hence you can ingorne it..Essentially this .ear file is used for communication between EPM and DRM.while setup API adapter then it has to be deploy (this ear file).

  • Req: Muvo2 Firmware upgrade for Janus DRM compatibil

    We would like to have an opportunity to use subscription based services offered by Yahoo and Napster.
    Please make the Muvo2 Janus DRM compatible.

    I bought the Muvo2 last month. WMP 0 has been out since June 2004 now and was in beta for a long time before that.
    WMP DRM since a year has implied WMP 0 DRM. And the creative webpage on DRM still has Muvo2 listed under DRM compatible devices.
    This is akin to saying a laptop is Windows XP compatible but will not be compatible with the update patches. Or buying a iPod that doesnt work with iTunes 5.0 when it comes out.
