Droid 2 voicemail

On the Droid 2, is there a way to change the number of rings before it goes to voicemail?

Call VZW TS and they will be able to change it for you.

  • Droid x voicemail problem

I have been having a problem with my voicemail icon not disappearing after I have cleared out all of my messages.
I have checked to see if there is a way to reset the notification, and there wasn't.  I looked at the notification area and the clear button did not make it go away.  There was no x button or anything at the icon.  When I press and hold the icon it calls my voice mail and does not give me a option to delete it.
This is the second time around I have had this problem.  I did a full system reset on my droid x and that seemed to fix the problem for a couple of days.  But once I received another voicemail the icon will not go away again.
Any idea's on how to fix this or should I just call Verizon and get rid of it?

had the same problem, coming over from BB... Here is what I have found... You can do it (adding the pauses) by editing the number in the contacts list...  You MUST change the keyboard layout to multi-tap.....there u will find the pause and wait keys...... The only thing about doing this is that in order to use this feature is that u have to go into contacts and select Voice Mail... You cannot use the Voice Mail Icon on the home screen...  It is proprietary... I noticed the two little buttons at the bottom of the screen...(call voice mail) and (Subscibe to Visual Voice Mail)... Guess what.. If you subscribe to Visual Voice Mail you can use the Voice Mail Button on the home screen and not have to enter the paswword everyime....  Con: 2.99  month.... I subscribed to see how it works... Nice little feature.... shows who left the voice mail what time. etc....
Now there is an article over on the Motorola site about how to use the pause and wait features... I found it and wished I had bookmarked it....Do a search on "adding pause to dialing" in the support forums for Droid X... There are a few, but one had detailed instructions with pictures...
    Hope this helps.

  • Droid Razr Voicemail problem

I just purchased a Droid Razr phone.  I want to set up my voicemail for the first time but it keeps prompting me for a password which I don't have yet.  HELP?

Hi rocket77! Other than this little voicemail snag, I hope you're enjoying your new phone. Did you have Verizon Wireless service already? If you did, the voicemail password would actually be the same for your old and new phone. If you need to reset your voicemail password, here's a really helpful link on how to get back into your messages: http://bit.ly/OQ9fjL

  • Droid Charge has no data roaming, bogus voicemail notification

Recently traveled and was unable to use any data services while 3 hrs from home in places where I know they have 3G or 4G, like Raleigh, Greensboro, Charlotte.  My husband has a Droid Incredible and his phone had 3G the entire time.  My new phone had 1x or nothing.  Called Vz support and they had me switch to the CMDA instead of LTE auto switching.  Made minimal difference.  After I switched it, the phone randomly picked up a 3G signal, but hubby's phone kept his 3G Vz signal the whole time. Also, whenever my phone is rebooted, my voicemail notification comes up saying I have a voicemail message, dated Dec. 2004!  But there is no message.  Happens every time my phone turns back on.  Very weird.  Anyway, it really is annoying to have this nice phone and not be able to use Internet or get email when I am away from home.

Tammy, welcome to the club, not a great club to be in.  I and many many like you (just google up the various forums) have the same situation as you except my wife has the Verizon Iphone and I've got the Charge.  More times than I'd care to mention, I have no data and she has a solid 3G signal. She's getting fed up with my ongoing line "Honey, can I see your phone for a minute". Don't bother with master resets, battery pulls, going in and out of airplane mode, switching from LTE to CDMA, they all are short term (seconds, minutes?) solutions to a far more serious issue with either the hardware, the software, the towers of a combination of all of these.  Unfortunately the latest OTA software update did little to nothing for this particular issue.  It did solve the mobile hotspot issue, but for me it did nothing on the more important issue of data connectivity.
I don't expect this will be fixed until the 2nd gen 4G phones come out. This is an issue with ALL Verizon's 4G phones...bar none.  I've seen it in my numerous trips to Verizon stores and playing with the LG, TBolt and Charge. In fact when I went to a Verizon store yesterday, it seemed the TBolt was faring worse. I'm sure Verizon knows they've got a serious issue here and I think there's only so much they can do given the hardware they're dealing with.  The fact that the OTA software update was supposed to address this issue shows that Verizon knows the issue exists.  In our area (Long Island), I can't imagine any Verizon store employee with a Charge or other 4G phone that hasn't experienced this themselves.
Such is the price for being on the cutting edge.

  • Voicemail on Droid x

I just got my new Droid X, missed a call and the caller left a voice mail.  I got notified that I had missed a call but I got no notification that there was a voice mail.  I went to the Voicemail app and it indicated that there were 0 new voicemails. I do not have visual voice mail.
How do you set up notification of new voice mails and in the voicemail app how do you get an accurate list of new voicemails?

No. You don't have to pay $2.99 for Visual Voice Mail for a visual notification. Without VVM, as posted above, when someone leaves you a voicemail, you will see an icon in the notification bar on the top of the phone that looks like a cassette tape. You then must dial *86, enter your password, and follow the menu prompts to listen, save, delete your message and create greetings.
Visual Voice Mail is an application that allows subscribers to view caller and voice mail information and listen to voice mail messages in any order on their wireless device. Scroll through your messages, pick the ones you want to listen to, erase or archive them right from your screen on your wireless device. You can call back, text and add to contacts directly from the Visual Voice Mail screen.
    Other features include:
Get on-screen access to voice mail message status.
Access voice mail with one button and get instant playback.
Save up to 40 messages for 40 days, or archive them permanently
Create 10 different caller-ID based greetings.
Reply via call back, text, or even voice mail.

  • Voicemail notification for Razer Droid 4

Does anyone know if there is a voicemail notification sound in case you don't know if someone left you a voicemail.  I checked under sounds in settings.

    Hi
Not sure if this is the model # but try MOTXT 894.  Otherwise it is
motorola Droid 4.  I not signed up for visual voicemail.  I do not wish to
add another expense to my monthly bill.  Also, most of the time I have my
phone on vibrate but when it is on volume I'm not sure if I receive some
type of warning that I have a voicemail.  Even on vibrate I would hope
there is some type of vibration after a voicemail is left.
    Regards

  • My voicemail app is no longer working on my droid turbo

When I click apps under settings it shows it as still their and running, but when I go to my list of apps it isn't there. I only found this out when a person told me that my voicemail box was full. What do I need to do to get this voicemail app to show again? This may have started happening around the time I activated the HD calling or whenever that update happened.

        Blacryan
Here to help, I want to make sure you can recieve all your important messages. When was the last time you access the voicemail application?  When you checked in settings, under app, then "All" are you able to see voicemail?  Does it show that the is application disabled?  When is the last time you used the application?  Are you able to dial *86 to hear your voicemails?  Provie more information to resolve this.

  • I'm unable to retrieve ALL my voicemail messages on Droid Bionic

My voicemail states my mailbox is full with 20 messages but it stops after about 8. How can I get it to go on to the rest of them? Please don't say delete the first 8, there must be something that is not working correctly.

    Hello maxstaff,
I know that voicemails are important, and you wouldn't want to delete all of them. Have you listened to those eight messages and re-saved them? After doing this, do the voicemails still not play? I have included a link with the voicemail commands available.

  • How to check voicemail without droid razr phone?

How do you check voicemail without your phone?

Dial your phone number from another phone. When you hear your greeting, press the # symbol to interrupt it. You will be prompted for your password to enter your voicemail.

  • Droid 3  Handcent & Voicemail

Does anyone have a solution to the issue of Handcent sending 1 (or more) text messages for every Vis. Voicemail.  I have been using Handcent for several months and all was fine - no text messages at all.  About three weeks ago, I started getting the text messages for every VM message.

Oh no! Let's get that back into English!
Right when you call it, enter your password (i.e. 12345 ect) and then press #.
Then you can follow the prompts from the link here http://support.verizonwireless.com/how_to_use/basic_voice_mail.html to change the language. Depending on what state you are in the prompts may be different. Usually its' option 4, then 2, then 1, then 9. Or 4, 2, 1, 5 with the other prompts. Please try this and report back! Thanks!

  • Visual voicemail not working

....and hasn't been for over 3 weeks now. I really didn't know that it wasn't working. I just thought that people weren't leaving me any messages until my boyfriend asked why I wasn't responding to his messages. I called customer support and the lady there told me that they were doing some kind of testing in the area Of course the area she names wasn't even in the state I was in. Plus....testing for 3 weeks....I don't think so! Anyway. I've unsubscribed and resubscribed and it still doesn't work. i've called *86 and gone through someof the things there like re recording my voice message, etc. So far nothing has worked. I have my contacts synced online and I know that I'd have to redownload all my apps if I do a factory reset. Is there any way to save my text messages somewhere? there are some that I'd really hate to lose.
I've had many problems with this phone since 2.2. I wish there was an easier way to just put everthing back on the phone after a hard reset without having to download everything again and losing info.
I'd go back to regular basic voicemail, but i don't think it would work anyway since calling in to *86 doesn't work. It still tells me I have no voicemails...even though I asked a friend to leave me one and they said they did. Any help would be appreciated!

The bad thing here is that normally, I'd suggest that you re-install the Visual Voicemail app. However, that app is native to the phone (meaning that it comes installed on the phone and can't be downloaded or installed from the App Market. Therefore, you will have to do that dreaded Factory Restore to re-install the voicemail app,
I believe that Verizon Voicemail can be accessed without the visual app. I haven't looked at this process, but I remember setting up good old voicemail on my original Moto Droid before I subscribed to VIsual Voicemail. You get a voicemail and a notification in the, well, the notification bar at the top of the screen.
If you resort to performing the factory restore, be sure and follow the procedure described here as opposed to just simply letting the phone restore itself (WHAT?? No sticky yet?? Well, guys, I tried...)
"This has been verified as being the best way to stop a number of the issues that has developed after doing Froyo update, the system seem to keep the 2.1 app and settings during installation process and this seems to cause a number of incompatible issues with a number of devices.... Follow this process after completing Froyo Update to avoid problems..
Follow these settings during restore to avoid issues being restored automatically.
    1. Uncheck "Back up my data" under Settings/Privacy
    2. Click Factory Data Reset/Reset Phone
    3. After reset is complete only Activate Phone but do not input Google Email information
    4. Once phone is at homepage go back into Settings/Privacy and make sure the Automatic Restore option is unchecked, even if grayed out, activate "Back up my data" and quickly disable "Automatic Restore"
    5. After being sure that the Automatic Restore option is off it will be safe to log into Google and you can continue installing preferred apps and custom settings.
This process will stop all applications and settings from restoring automatically and restoring original issues that usually resolve a number of issues."
    Good luck,

  • Droid Bionic the most expensive Brick I've ever purchased

I just want to know when in November this update is going to happen.
This is almost worse than the gingerbread nightmare. I had a Droid2 which worked up until the Gingerbread update, then I purchase a "not-ready-for-primetime" Droid Bionic.
It took 6 months for my Xoom to become 4G, this when they said it would only be 90 days.
How long will I have to wait for my Bionic to do anything.
It's so bad that the fix to turn on airplane mode doesn't work now and half the time the phone doesn't even recognize it IS in airplane mode.
This has been this biggest Mongolian cluster ******** of a phone launch. God help those who upgrade to the RAZR with a battery that can't be removed.
I called to complain and received a refund on one month's data, but really why should I have to call on a phone that should work out of the box.
I love the phone I just want it to do what it's supposed to..
So again I ask, When can we expect the update VERIZON???
I'm just tired of the blame game, Verizon blames MOTO and then we find out some of the issues are because VERIZON wanted specific "proprietary mods" to the system...
    Please update the phone soon..

It's not going to be in the beginning like they said. It has been pushed back toward the end of November now, probably just to get pushed back again. With the Razr out (which is what Verizon is focusing on), do you think we will get the update quickly? No. We should've had it by now. In fact, we shouldn't need an update period. I'm doing playing around with customer service and not getting a solution I'm happy with. I've emailed executive relations and am hoping for a response but I'm not sure if I will get one, I left a message for someone on Wednesday and haven't heard back. I want this phone returned, period. I've got introuble twice with work now because my phone did not recieve some important calls and I almost gave my mother a heart attack (I ALWAYS pick up for her and one night she called and called and called and my phone never rang once, few hours later I notice I had a few voicemails). Customer service isn't even sending out replacements anymore. They admitted to the Bionic plague and that every phone has the same issue.
Like you, the "airplane mode fix" doesn't even work for me. I have to pop the battery and even then it doesn't always work.
I'm almost tempted to copy and paste the email I sent because Ive had a crap shoot with this phone. What really ticked me off is the fact that I was conned into getting a "free" accessory when I could've got $50 off the phone. Who wants a battery dock with two batteries. I dont want to sit there and have to switch batteries once a day.
I want to quote a Verizon executive relations rep from two years ago when I was following the Omnia 2, someone had inquired about release dates.
    Good morning Mr. X,
We are in receipt of your correspondence to Mr. Lowell McAdam concerning the release of the Samsung Omnia II.  We appreciate your enthusiasm and anticipation of the release of the new device.
While we are aware you are anxiously awaiting the launch, at this time, we cannot provide a definitive date for the release.   We do not like to set false expectations about a release date and then have to push it back, and instead only announce a release date when we get closer to the actual release.  Verizon Wireless has a responsibility to our customers and prior to the release of any device; we want to ensure the device passes our standards.  That includes superior performance on our network, our staff is fully trained, and inventory is available to meet the needs of our customers.  We'd rather wait to get the product right rather than rush out a product that causes problems.  Please check our website periodically for a news release about upcoming phone announcements.
Thank you for your feedback.  We value your opinion as well as your business.
    Sincerely,
    NE Area Executive Relations
Take note of what I bolded and underlined. Either Verizon changed their "responsibilities" in the past couple years, or they just aren't doing their job.
Will keep you guys updated. Hopefully I'll finally be able to get another phone that actually has the service that I've been paying for. I will say though if I do not hear back from the last executive relations rep I emailed, I'm filing a complaint with the FCC, the attorney general, and filing a dispute on my credit card. Maybe I won't get a new phone but with my last step I'll at least not have paid for a worthless phone.

  • Why can't I set up the default voicemail?

i Have an iPhone 4s with Verizon a and I am trying to set up a voicemail. However, when I try it says "setting up voicemmail" and does nothing.

Sure , I would love some help. My phone is a Motorolla Droid Turbo, it is new and I've Haven't been able to use the video voicemail in the month I have had the phone. I have tried. several times. to allow it to setup up when it showed a prompt, only to get a setup failed message. I asked the community if it was a common problem and received a nice guys message advising me to enable data and turn off the wifi. The setup didn't fail, but never ended and I became nervous about data usage as the setup never seemed to get anywhere. That is pretty much where I am at now. Any help would be much appreciated.
