Droid 3 = no 4g = WTH?!

Question

I have been waiting for months for a 4g phone with a physical keyboard and today I read a hands-on review of the final market version of the Droid 3 says that it will NOT have 4g?!  What in heaven's name are the folks at VZW thinking?  There are many of us using the Droid 1 or 2 or other Android devices with physical keyboards who have been resisting the temptation to jump to Sprint or other carriers because we have been waiting for Verizon to get on the ball and catch up with its competition in this market segment.  
My Droid 1 is near the end of its life (hardware is starting to fail) and I am *NOT* going to rig up to another 2yr contract for a phone with only a virtual keyboard.  Not one I have ever tried is even remotely as good as a mediocre physical keyboard.  I am text and email heavy and there's no way in hell I am signing on for two years to experiment and try to adapt to Verizon's wholly inadequate device offerings.
10 years with Verizon and this may be what it comes down to.  Not even so much as a leak or a hint that a 4g android phone with physical keyboard is coming may finally drive me to another carrier.  And I am far from alone.  Look over in the 4g forums at the two threads full of like-minded customers.
Can you hear us now?  Or will it only be after we close our accounts?

Why do you want 4G?  Is it even available in your area yet?   Most people I know with 4G phones have never seen a 4G signal on it...
Also, I think the main reason there is no 4G on here is because it's a CDMA/GSM worldphone.  They probably don't have a chipset available yet (or maybe just recently) that does CDMA/LTE(Verizon 4G)/GSM all in one. 
Also, I agree on the phys keyboard... a lot of the 'on-screen-fanboys' go on and on about who careas about 'feeling' and it's 'just as good' but many of us who really prefer phys keyboards want it for one very glaring reason.   -- It Doesn't take up SCREEN space --.    Stupid as it may be, i'm preferclty fine with an on-screen keyboard as long as it doesn't cover up the screen.
Tho I guess if you're just a snot nosed kid texting your friends in l33tsp33k all day long you don't need a phys keyboard. But if you're trying to do any actual work with your phone instead of lugging a laptop around  a real keyboard is quite handy. 
The keyboard on this phone is the best yet quite frankly.  A dedicated number row so i'm not double-tapping all day long when I work with numbers, useful keys like the / and @ hard mapped with no double tap...  \ and | available as well (double tap but hey better then having to use a remapping program like I did on the TouchPro2).
