Droid 3 - Unable to connect to AT&T U-verse wireless network and unable to download apps using 3G

Hi,
I just purchased a DROID 3.  It will not connect to my home network which is AT&T U-verse.  It goes through the authentication process and then Wi-Fi shows as disconnected and the network shows as disabled.  Everything else is connecting to the router just fine, computers, printers, blackberry. I have toggled wi-fi on and off and get the same result.
I was able to connect to other wireless networks, AT&T DSL, mobile hotspots, just not AT&T U-verse.
In addition, I am unable to download apps using the 3G network.
Any solutions out there?
Thanks

Thanks for responding.  I've tried all of those already.  I've also manually configured my home wi-fi connection via "Add Wi-Fi network.  It still goes through the authentication process and disconnects.
Is there something that needs to be configured on my router.  It's a 2Wire 3800HGV-B.
Regarding downloads, I have a gmail ccount.  The message is that I need a Wi-Fi connection in order to download.
Thanks
On my router, it is set to accept connections only from devices (MAC Addresses) I allow. Maybe you have yours set up that way.
Also if you have a passcode on the router, you will need to search for the device, then add the passcode to your phone.

  • Unable to download apps using 3G, wifi download is working.

Hi, I am using iphone 4s, i os 7.0.2 and I am unable to downlaod apps thru app store using mobile internet. But my mobile internet is working fine. I can use it for email, facebook 9gag etc. Application download process is working fine when I am using wifi. I tried to reset all the settings twice, remove the sim card change the settings.
    Somebody please help me.

You can get compatible Apps for iOS 5.1.1 following a few steps.
You'll need to download the App you want to a computer running iTunes using the same Apple ID you use on the iPad.
Once that is done you can go to the Purchased Tab in the App Store App and find the App you just downloaded to iTunes.  Tap on the cloud icon next to it to initiate the download.
You will get the prompt saying its not compatible, but if there's a compatible version available it should tell you you can download the compatible version instead.

  • I am trying to connect my new ipay to my wireless network and I do not know the password, how can I connect?

I have a new IPAD and trying to hook up to my wireless network.  I do not know a password, how can I procees with the set up?

you need to find out what your wifi password is....Search your router online.
I know netgears are usually routerlogin.net (popup ADMIN- pass: password)
    Others have a different login.
You can always try typing in your routers IP address into a browser search field(ie. 192.169.1.1)
Some routers come with a setup CD.
Another route with some is reseting the router to factory default(no password). This will allow anyone to access it thats nearby, so Id recommend this ONLY for initial connection, then reconfiguring it. Hold the reset button in for 30 seconds.

  • Hi I am having problems downloading and updating apps on my iPad and iPhone. The message cycles between waiting and loading then I get an error message saying unable to download app. Eventually, after many attempts it works.

Hi Guys - for a few days I have been having problems downloading and updating apps on my iPad and iPhone. The message cycles between waiting and downloading then eventually says unable to download app. Sometimes after many attempts it wil eventually work. I tested it on an old iPhone 3G and got the same problem so it is not an iOS 5 issue. My WI-FI connection is working fine. I was wondering if this is an App Store problem? Anyone else in the UK having this problem?

    Hi John
iTunes Support wasn't of any use to me.
I have also been having another problem - with BBC iPlayer and other video streaming not working due to insufficient bandwidth, despite my overall download speed being consistently around 50Gb.  This is also affecting AppleTV downloads
I am using Virgin Media as my ISP, and was wondering whether you do as well.  This might be the common thread.

I am unable to download apps because my iOs is not up to date. No update shows up in my General settings, how do I update my iPad?

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily.  Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).
Tip 2 - If you are updating using wifi, locate your iPad close to your router so you don't get a wifi dropout (can cause update corruption).

  • How do I connect my printer to a new wireless network?

I currently have a MacBook Pro and HP Photosmart C4580 All-in-one printer. I have had the printer a long time, and have since lost the cable to connect it to my laptop, and any paperwork or cds recieved with it.
I have been unable to figure out how to change my printer's settings so it is connected to my new house's wireless network, the wireless test report showed it is trying to connect to my old one in another town. I have a usb cable I can borrow to hook the printer up to my laptop, but would like to be able to just print wirelessly. Is there any way to do so?

If you want to change your existing connection to a wireless network, follow these instructions.
    Open HP Device Manager.
Figure 5: HP Device Manager icon
From the Information and Settings drop-down menu, click Setup Assistant .
The HP Setup Assistant window opens.
Follow the on-screen instructions to change your connection type to an existing wireless network.
Although I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for HP.

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year. Then see if you can connect to the store.

    Hi Dellie909,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
The articles below may be able to help you with this.
About Free Apple Apps for iOS 7 compatible devices
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5913
iPhoto, iMovie, Pages, Numbers, and Keynote are free on the App Store for qualifying iOS 7 compatible devices activated or purchased after September 1, 2013.
The first time you launch the App Store in iOS 7 on your qualifying new or factory refurbished iOS device, you will be offered iPhoto, iMovie, Pages, Numbers, and Keynote for free in addition to other free software from Apple. When you tap Download All and sign in with your Apple ID, the apps will download to your device and appear in your store account. If you tap Not Now when you see the offer, you can search for the apps in the store and download them one at a time for free.
Note: If you aren't connected to WiFi when you accept the apps, any apps larger than 100MB will download when you have a WiFi connection.
If your new qualifying device came with iOS 6 installed, you will be offered the apps after you update to iOS 7.
If you already purchased and downloaded all the apps, they won't be available for free. You will, however, be eligible to download the updated versions.
If you have a computer, you can view your iTunes Store account and request assistance by following the instructions below:

  • Unable to download apps when updating

When I update my apps, I get a message saying: "unable to download app Kayak and 37 others" most of these apps were on my iPad and iPhone, but somehow got deleted. Now they seem to be in some twilight zone, where they can't be downloaded from.
Is it possible for an apple service employee to delete my: "to download" list...?
I have this problem on my iPad as well as on my iPhone...

    Hi,
I've been struggling to find a solution to this for days but just finally stumbled across a fix which worked for me.
If you are using your home wifi as your connection, go into the network settings and change the DNS to 8.8.8.8
I wrote my original settings down first in case this didn't work so I could put them back, but it worked first time.
    Give it a go!

    Hi saymjuke,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you are trying to download applications from the App Store on your iPhone but cannot unless you download them using your cellular connection. In this situation, I would suggest the troubleshooting steps outlined in the attached article. I know your issue is not the same as what is outlined in the article, but the steps within should still assist you. Please let me know if the issue continues.

  • Unable to download/update apps, lost App World from BB9780 and unable to download App World again

Hi, I see posts about this subject but none have helped me so far. I seem to have accumulated 3 issues
Since a couple of weeks I am unable to download apps from the app world or update apps from the app world.
    1. unable to download / update apps from App World
The progress bar of the download progresses some and the it hoves me the error "There was a problem during installation, please try again".
    2. While trying to fix this issue 1, the App World icon has disappeared from my BB9780. On the desktop software I see that the App World stll shows as installed on my device (version 3.1.1.121). a search on my device shows nothing though.
    3. I try to fix the issue 2 by reinstalling the App World. Everything goes well untill the language selection. Final message is whether I want to replace version 3.1.1.121 with version 3.1.1.121? When continuing I receive the error "Download failed". Detailed error mesage: "909 Application authentication failure".
Please help me how to fix this. I have tried:
    -battery pulls
    -security wipes
    -time zone synch
    nothing seems to help.
    Thanks in advance. Rob

    Hi, jimac.1729.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand that you are unable to download or update an App.  Sometimes simply forcing all apps to close and restarting the device can resolve this issue.  Also, try going through the steps outlined below.
Force an app to close in iOS
Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update(iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.
