Droid calendar entries delete on sync

When I first got my Motorola Droid, I downloaded the Google Calendar Beta Sync Software to sync with my Outlook computer on my PC.  I have 2-way sync set on the Google Calendar software.  I then sync my Outlook Calendar to Time Matters, which is our primary work calendar.  Over the past few months I have noticed new entries made on my phone into my calendar disappear upon connecting to my computer.  They both erase off the phone, and do not transfer into my Google Calendar on my PC.  Does anyone know how to correct this problem?

The best solution for synchronizing your Time Matters calendar (and contacts) is via the Time Matters Exchange Synchronization utility.  Of course this requires that you migrate from Google Calendars to Exchange.  That much said, there are a number of Hosted Exchange options that are quite affordable and work very well with the TM Exchange Sync.  Our firm provides Hosted Exchange for as little as $6.99/mailbox/month that is guaranteed to work with the TM Exchange Sync.  Your Droid will then connect to the Exchange host wirelessly.
With the TM Exchange Sync in place, you will no longer need to synchronize manually with Outlook.  Synchronization occurs continually throughout the day.  I strongly recommend that before signing up for a Hosted Exchange account or attempt the TM Exchange Sync setup, you first contact a Time Matters Certified Independent Consultant (CIC) who is versed in this technology.   Our website: www.PrecedentSolutions.com.

  • My iPhone calendar entries won't sync with my iCal using iTunes

    Hi,
For some odd reason my iPhone calendar entries will not sync with my iCal using the sync feature in iTunes.
The syncing of everything else seems to be working just fine but in the last couple of days ~ now the calendars won't sync.
Entries that I've made in iCal sync alright to my iPhone but not the other way around.....
Anyone out there got any suggestions???

First make sure you are entering the events on your phone to your Mac calendar and not some other calendar such as On My iPhone.  If you are, and they still won't sync, try resetting the SyncServices folder on your mac, as explained in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1627, then try syncing your calendar again.  (If you are prompted when syncing your calendar, choose Merge.)

  • Deleted calendar entries are not sync to the serve...

I'm using a E71 with MfE. The synchronization works fine except when deleting an item of the E71 calendar. The deleted item on the mobile is not deleted on the server. If I delete an item on the server the sync works correctly and the item is deleted also on the E71.
I'm using as well a Windows Mobile 6 device and there the sync with the server works correctly. Deleted items on the mobile calendar are deleted on the server too. That shows me, that the Exchange-Server is set up correctly.
Any idea what it could be?
    Thx.

    Hello venkat,
Please check this link, It might be helpful to you. I believe you have written the code for custom button in the events.
    http://help-abap.blogspot.com/2008/09/add-custom-button-on-maintianence-view.html
try to use insert statement in the event for the custom button. Let me know the peice of code you have written for this custom button.

  • Updated ios8 on ipad: new calendar entries do not sync to other Apple devices through iCloud

After  downloading the latest ios8 update, the calendar function on my iPad no longer syncs as it should with my other Apple devices.  Specifically, it will receive calendar entries made on those other devices but I can not make an entry on my iPad show up on the other devices.  How do I fix this?
Related to this, some of the support community entries suggest logging out of iCloud and then logging back in.  But then I read that what I have to do to do that is to delete my account.  I don't want to do that.  I want to keep everything I have on my iPad- mail, calendar, notes.  I just want the sync function for new calendar entries to work.

Check Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar (in the Calendars section) on your iPad and make sure it's set to an iCloud calendar.  If it isn't, make this change, then test calendars syncing again.
If your default calendar is set to and iCloud calendar, go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Calendars, choose Delete from My iPad when prompted (they will still be in iCloud), then turn Calendars back on.  Test your calendar and see if it syncs properly now.

  • Past calendar entries deleted

My past entries (4 weeks and beyond) have been deleted after I synced it.  Any one with a suggestion how I can retrieve it and prevent it from happening again in the future?

  • Calendar entries deleted on my laptop when synchronizing with 8220

Hi - I synchronized my BB today and found that it has deleted all my calendar entries on my laptop - fortunately they're all still on my BB.  How do I get them back onto my laptop?  This has not happened before. I have the setting on two way synch.

If the synch is on two ways, is very rare .
Try this, reset the device, with the phone turn on, take out the battery for 30 seconds and reinstall it again, try again

  • Calendar entries erased when synced!!

I am getting so fed up with this ipod touch already! when i synced my ipod touch, i noticed it erased a good number of my calendar entries. does anyone know if i can retrieve them? or why this happened? or how i can avoid it in the future?

Yes, this is the same issue I've been having. I've tried multiple restores in iTunes, and after hours of back-up attempts, none of my calendar information - old or new - has shown up back on the iPhone.
I don't use Outlook or Google Calendar, and yet the iPhone now shows three calendars: two marked "calendar" and one marked "home". I never added a calendar. I merely ran the calendar on the phone, presuming backing the phone up in previous OS's would save previous calendar dates.
Thanks for the link. I need to keep following to see how this goes...

  • My old calendar entries deleted themselves. I lost all  my history. WHY?

This is the second time my prior calendar entries have disappeared. Gone. Everything longer than a month ago.
    Why does this happen?
Is there a way to prevent it?

Make sure that Sync entries older than 30 days is checked in settings.

  • IPhone Calendar Entries No Longer Sync With iCal or MobileMe Account

I've been experiencing this for a few months now, and was hoping someone might have some ideas on how to fix this issue I am having.
Every time I enter a new entry onto my Calendar from my iPhone... those entries do not show up on either my Desktop iCal or Mobile Me account online (this used to work). However... if I enter a new entry on either my desktop or Mobile Me account... those entries do show up on my iPhone.
I do not sync my Contacts or Calendars using iTunes. That is turned off. I sync through MobileMe.
    Any help would be appreciated.

On your iPhone, go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
    Select your MobileMe account.
Turn Calendars off for over the air syncing. A warning message will be provided indicating your MobileMe online calendars and calendar events will be deleted from your iPhone with an option to keep the calendars on your iPhone or delete from your iPhone. Select Delete from My iPhone.
Follow this by turning Calendars back on for over the air syncing.
Enter a new calendar event on your iPhone to test if the new calendar event shows up with your MobileMe online calendar and with iCal on your Mac.

  • Some calendar entries do not sync: Windows Vista -- Outlook 2007 -- 3GS

I have a couple of calender entries that refuse to sync. beween my Windows Vista machine running Outlook 2007 and my iPhone 3GS.
I bought some airline tickets from USAir and they sent reservation information in an e-mail that I added to outlook. Although the "appointment" looks normal in Outlook it will not sync. I also have one event on the iPhone that won't sync "back" to Outlook.
    So far I have tried:
    * Reseting the sync. history in iTunes
    * Setting the "Replace information on this iPhone" for the Calendar setion.
    * Making an edit in the non-syncing entries so they would show as needing to be synced to the other device.
None of these things has made the entries sync....
    Any ideas apprecaited....

Ok after MUCH messing around it appeared that the problem was somewhere in one of my "repeating events". Myself and the Apple guy concluded this after exporting all of my calendar events to a CSV file and then re-importing them. All the events went to the iPhone without issue so the initial diagnosis was data corruption in one of these events causing a sync. failure.
I was willing to go along with this diagnosis and figure out which event was corrupt since that seemed to be the problem.
MY ONLY COMPLAINT to Apple at the time was that this condition should have given an error message during sync. - just a "basic" QA check of the sync. would show the number of calender events in Outlook did not match the number of calender events in the iPhone ... apparently this is NOT performed by the iTunes Sync. tool.
Anyway I deleted ALL recurring events from my calender sync-ed and all was well.
I started adding back the repeating events to find the "broken" event. This turned out not to be possible as it would "break" in seemingly random places.
For example I have about 60 annually repeating events (birthdays and anniv.) I added back the first 20 ... it broke. Ah-ha the problem is somewhere in #1 - 20 of 60. So I add just the "last" 40 ... it still breaks... hmmmmmm do I have MULTIPLE "break points"???
Ok ... so I just start re-adding them manually one at a time ....
I have a grandfather that was born in 8/28/1915. When I add his birthday to the calendar in Outlook (by entering his birthdate on the details page of his contact record in Outlook) a annually repeating event that repeats forevery starting on 8/28/1915 gets added to the calender. iTunes would NOT sync. this event.
I deleted it, re-resync-ed, then re-added the birthday and EDITED it to start the repeating event on 8/28/2000. This time a sync. worked OK and the birthday is on my iPhone ... this is very screwy. Again no error messages from iTunes at any time.
So I do not know what the "metrics" are for valid events, but if something as simple as the one above confuses iTunes I sure could have a lot of "bad" events that are in fact not corrupt.
So I do not know what the "metrics" are for valid events, but if something as simple as the one above confuses iTunes I sure could have a lot of "bad" events that are in fact not corrupt. There has got to be something weird going on with the way iTunes handles "repeating" events in terms of a "ceiling" as to how many times it can repeat or the total number of repeating events that can be sync-ed or something like that ... that seems to be the only "thread" I can find .... it does not appear to be corrupt data, but perhaps event types that the iTunes/iPhone can not handle???
    Not a happy boy.

  • ICal/Calendar data deleted during sync with MM

Somehow I managed to delete the contents of nearly all my calendars last night.  They're gone on all my handhelds and from my iMac - there is still a nearly-complete copy on one of my MacBooks.  I shut off wifi on that computer until I can figure out a way to fix this.
Based on reading other Q&A, I believe that I have to either use the iCal Backup command for each calendar, delete the calendars in iCal on that MB, and then reimport them and sync with MM.  I also thought there might be a chance that I can just back up the calendar files that are in my Library, delete the calendars in iCal on the MB and reimport.  It may be possible that I could just back up the calendar files in the Library and reopen the sync to MM and see what happens - I can then force the sync to use the data that's on my computer.  I'm leery of doing that last one because I don't know what will happen when I turn wifi back on to allow the sync to happen - I'm afraid that the MM contents (now nearly empty) will wipe out the iCal information on the MB.
I think this all happened because I was syncing a large amount of data from 2Do on my iPhone to MM Calendar (or so I thought) and the latest update from 2Do had reset the default sync server address to be in iCloud.  I'm in the process of moving to the cloud, but so far all I've done is updated my iPhone and iPad to iOS5.1 (within the past couple of days).  After that sync process went on for some time, I got a sync error from either iOS5.1 or from 2Do, and in response I chose the "revert to server" option (instead of the "use the data on my computer" or whatever it said), and by that time my MM calendar was toast.  Everything was working just fine up to that moment, and I've been slowly getting ready to move to iCloud in the next day or two.  This problem won't stop that if I can get the calendars restored - I have far too much information in iCal to just ignore the matter and move on.
So my question is whether or not the process outlined in paragraph 2 above is the appropriate approach to repairing this inconvenience, or if there's a better way to do it.

    Greetings Mike,
Something has gone wrong in the sync process.
As you indicate your best set of data is on your MacBook I would suggest:
Make an iCal backup:  Click on each calendar on the left hand side of iCal one at a time highlighting it's name and then going to File Export > Export and saving the resulting calendar file to the desktop of the computer that still has calendars.
Go to me.com and add 1 new blank calendar
Delete all calendars but the 1 new blank calendar (this removes any potentially corrupt data being stored in MobileMe).
Turn WiFi back on on your Macbook and go to Calendars > Refresh All -- The calendars that were feeding from MobileMe should vanish as you deleted them from the server.
Go to File > New Calendar > MobileMe and create a new calendar for each of the ones you exported from iCal do your desktop.
Double-click each of the calendars you exported to the desktop one at a time and import them to the new calendar place holder you created for them in step 5.  Allow each calendar to import and upload to MobileMe before you go to the next calendar (this may take some time depending on your Internet connection upload speed which is traditionally low for most consumer level ISPs.)
    Side note:
Your profile here says you are running 10.6.7.  I assume you have upgraded to Lion as that is required for iCloud: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4759
If you haven't upgraded to Lion: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4949 you will want to do that before MobileMe service ends in June.  Keep in mind before upgrading you want to make sure all your commonly use Applications are Lion compatible and that you have a current backup of your data: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1427.
    Hope that helps!

  • Calendar entry syncs in to my iPhone but not my iPad

I have a really strange problem where a few calendar entries do not sync to my my iPad but are in my iPhone.
They are complex entries (Reoccurring, different time zones, and meeting invite) but they do appear in my iPhone but not iPad. The settings on both devices are identical, and I've tried to delete the calendar DB from the iPad and re-sync. Same problem.
    Any help would be appreciated.

OK, I've worked out that is it not syncing meeting requests that I have sent....any ideas?

  • Calendar entries slow and no longer synchronising with iCloud and devices

I have a MacBook Pro Retina, Maverick IOS 10.9.2 is the master. Why do new calendar entries no longer sync with other devices and why is there a coloured bubble and I have to wait for an entry to be in the the calendar for about 30 seconds time? Before, new items could be put into the calendar very fast. I have this problem since a few days. Everything else (email, contacts etc.) are synchronising well. I habe checked if there is a tick and everthing looks ok to me. Thank you for your help.
    Regards, Chris

I use gmail for my calender so I sync calender to gmail and icloud. Right now, neither are showing up in calender on iphone.
I did have gmail notes syncing as well as Icloud notes, but turned that off last night in case that was causing the confusion. It hasn't resolved the notes problem.
Any ideas? It does seem a bit odd.

  • Outlook calendar entries all gone!

I have done some searching on this and this seems to be a common problem, but I didn't find any solutions that worked for me.  I realized today that nearly all of my Outlook calendar entries are gone!! I have the Desktop Manager set to two way sync. I tried a one-way sinc from the BB to Outlook to try to get things back, but that didn't work. Thing is that there are a few calendar entries left.  The ones that appear to be gone are older the "repeat" ones.  In other words, if I set one to occur every month or so, those appear to be gone from Outlook. All but one. There is a new repeat one I put in the other day into the BB, and it sync'd just fine, but everything else is gone!
How do I get all of my items back into outlook?  And, once I get them there, how do I keep them from disappearing again?
    Jesse

OK...I upgraded the BB Desktop software.  I was running version 4.5.  I'm now running version 5.0.  I also did a "Check for updates" and it found a bunch of software on the BB that needed to be updated.  I let it update everything.  I synced again, and some of my calendar items came back, but not all of them.
I've just noticed something, but I don't know what I can do about it.  When I look at the calendar entries that are syncing, they say "Send Using: {my bb e-mail address}".  When I look at one that is not syncing, it says "Send Using: Device Default".  I don't even know what this "send using" thing is, unless it has something to do with sending an invitation (probably something I'll never use).  I guess I need to associate those entries that are not syncing with my BB e-mail address, but I don't see any menu item that lets me change that.  Can someone point me in the right direction?
    Thanks,
    Jesse
