Droid Eris making single beep noises every 5 minutes or so sporadically
I am having the exact same issue. Only started since downloading the last update.
First the basic stuff, if you haven't tried it....
Pull the battery and restart the phone.
If this doesn't do it, then there could be an app causing the beep, even though it isn't obvious. If you have an app killer, shut down the apps one at a time and see if it goes away.
Unless someone else hopefully comes up with something more specific, you might need to do the factory reset and start over. I hope you something before it comes to that because that's a major pain in time.

Please help. I was watching netlix last night and my computer just went dark. It began making a beeping noise every second. It would not turn on or all the way off. I tried charging it which changed nothing--not the screen nor the beeping.
if its continuous it cant be every 3 seconds, logically
1 beep = no RAM installed
2 beeps = incompatible RAM types
3 beeps = no good banks
4 beeps = no good boot images in the boot ROM (and/or bad sys config block)
5 beeps = processor is not usable
hardware fault regardless. Still RAM
dead screen, no SMC reset possible, ergo:

Why ismy mac book pro making a beeping sound every few minutes?
My mac book pro 13" is making a strange sound evefy few minutes. It sounds like a rock being dropped in a pond. I replaced a faulty hard drive recently and I wonder if it is related to that issue.

Long single beep noise on startup.
When I started up my MacBook Pro after a software update (EFI and Thunderbolt software), it made a long single beep noise, then showed the Apple logo with a progress bar below it, then flashed the screen, and went to the regular startup with the Apple logo.
I have a MacBook Pro 17", that was purchased 2 months ago, and running Mac OS X 10.7.1 (Lion).
Is this long beep a problem? If yes, what could be the problem?

A long tone will be heard, then a gray screen with an Apple logo appears. There is a progress bar under the logo. As the progress bar moves, your firmware is being updated.

If it occurs again, call the free Apple support number, you have 3 months from date of purchase for support, one year warranty and up to three years for both if you purchased AppleCare.

When the system goes into sleep mode it keeps making a beeping noise. The system is shut down by holding the button in
and will then boot up again without any errors.
I Have replace RAMS, Motherboard and Power Supply. I have check the Bio's and Power setting on the unit. there is no place to cause this issue.

You didn’t specify where the beeping noise is coming from.
If it’s coming through your speakers, you could try to update your audio drivers since it’s possible they’re incorrectly sending a signal to the speakers as the audio chipset enters standby.
If the noise is coming from the motherboard, you’ll need to take a closer look at your system’s configuration or contact the manufacturer.

Empty disk drive makes beep noise every 30 seconds
My disk drive makes a beep noise every 30 seconds. There is nothing in it. It sounds like it is looking for a disk or something, but the constant noise is irritating after awhile.
call the company that repaired it. this is abnormal behavior and they need to correct it, especially since you state it was just replaced.

Does anyone know why an ipod mini might be making weird beeping noises. It makes like 9 beeping noises in a row, each note lower than the one previous. And it just keeps repeating this same 9 beeps. ??? Things seem to be working properly, but I worry that there is some kind of problem. Any help would be lovely .

JamieI recently restored my ipod. I completely erased all the songs off of it & everything. It still beeps. There doesn't seem to be much of a correlation of the beeping with anything. It usually does it right when I plug it into my computer. It does it quite frequently when plugged in - usually when I try to play certain songs on my iTunes. I tried deleting the songs that make it beep , but it doesn't get rid of the problem because sometimes the songs make it beep, sometimes it doesn't. While it is beeping, I can't do anything in iTunes - it totally locks up. When it beeps when it's not plugged into the computer, it's usually when I select a song to play - no music is played and after the beeping stops, it skips the song I originally chose & goes to the next song. I'm not sure what to do from here. Should I delete all the songs off of my computer, reformat it again? I'd rather not... for many of the songs I have, the only copies I have are on the computer and it would take way too long to put them all on CD - so I'd rather not have to do that. Let me know if you have any idea on what I can do to remedy this problem. Thanks, Jamie

Strange "twanging" noise every few minutes
My iPad is making a strange "twanging" noise every few minutes and I can't seem to find the reason for this. It is driving me and my whole family crazy. What can be causing this? I tthought it was some sort of alert, but can't find the source.
It's almost certainly an app alert. Go to Settings, Notifications and see which apps are yelling at you. ry switching them al to OFF, then re-enabling them one by one

IMac beeps about every two minutes. Why?!
I got home from work today and my iMac (early 2009 model) was beeping. It beeps once every 2 minutes or so. I ran the Apple Hardware Test (I think that's what it's called - the thing I have to insert the install disc to run). It came up with nothing being wrong. I have absolutely no clue why it's doing this. My sound is muted and it still happens and it happened even when I was in the Hardware Test.
Could it be a memory issue?
Any suggestions on what is causing this and/or what I should do?

Three beeps in a row means there's a problem with the RAM.

Boot from your install disk and run Disk Utility. (Not the same as Apple Hardware Test).
Insert Installer disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key until grey Apple appears.
Go to Installer menu and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
*(Check S.M.A.R.T Status of HDD at the bottom of right panel. It should say: Verified)*
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
When you are finished with DU, from the Menu Bar, select Utilities/Startup Manager.
Select your start up disk and click Restart
While you have the Disk Utility window open, look at the bottom of the window. Where you see Capacity and Available. *Make sure there is always 10% to 15% free disk space*

If you have a Seagate 500 GB 7200 RPM drive model ST9500420AS or ST9500420ASG, there is a widely reported problem with MacBooks that causes intermittent clicks and beeps. If that is your scenario, google for details.

Optical Drive making a beeping noise
This is really starting to drive me crazy. My macbook pro will every hour or so make a quick beeping and clicking noise near the optical drive. I dont have any apps open that would be trying to check to see if there is a disc and there are no discs in the drive when this happens. I can burn dvd/cd just fine its just that noise that is really starting to bother me I have had this since I got the computer from day one? Anyone else experience this?? Thanks!!
I have the same beeping noise but I can't tell where it is coming from exactly. Doesn't seem like it is the speakers though. It does seem to be front right corner somewhere near the optical drive. Mine is not very often so it is hard to trouble shoot.
My DVD drive also goes through a very noisy start up cycle, three times, each time I wake up the computer. A brand new (one week) 15.4" 2.53 GHz MBP. Does yours do this as well? -
Charger making a beeping noise and not charging.
Hi all, I have a problem with my 6 month old computer. The charger is making a constant beeping noise when plugged in and switched on.
It doesn't charge as well. I don't believe the battery has been overworked yet.

I agree with the user above. You should contact nearest authorized service provider to get a new AC/DC adaptor and let the guys check your notebook. Maybe this problem is related to the notebook too so you should ask for professional help.
If your notebook is only 6 months old, you will get a new adaptor for free I think because its a warranty case.

New RAM and hard drive won't connect to computer. It's still making the beeping noise. Any ideas?
My computer stopped working and I thought it was my RAM and hard drive so I bought a new one of each of these. However, when I tried turning my computer back on after replacing them, it still made the beeping noise. I am clueless. Does anyone know what could be the cause and how to fix it. Thanks!!

If you place it on the touchstone and it beeps this is expected behavior. Also note that you could be bumping the device shifting it off the charger and then back on thus the beeping noise telling you that it has been realigned again properly and is charging properly.

Some things that might help:
Restore one or all the devices as "new" and start from scratch.
Use playlists to control what syncs to the devices.
Create a "new" library in a different directory and see if that resolves the ongoing issue.
