DROID INCREDIBLE 4G LTE

The New Droid Incredible 4G LTE Has Been Spotted on DROID DOES.Com. Take a look just might be there..b33
http://www.droid-life.com/2012/04/23/droid-incredible-4g-lte-spotted-at-droiddoes-com-reveals-full-specs-before-being-pulled/

For a price tag of 299.99 i'll pass on it, only has 4" screen VGA front camera, and nothing special except for the fact it is running 4.0 Sense and Android. Horrible price point for a less than stellar phone. I'll just wait for ICS to come to the Rezound (which has a bigger screen, faster processor, better front camera, for a better price)

  • How to create unique notification sounds for email on Droid Incredible 4G LTE

I have three separate email accounts pushed to my Droid Incredible 4G LTE.  I can't for the life of me figure out how to set up unique notification sounds for each email account.  It was a snap to do on my old Blackberry.
Same question for flagging individuals within my contact list.  (E.g., if my wife calls it makes one sound, if a client calls it makes a different sound.)
Does anyone know how to do this, or, as they say, is there an app for that???
    Thanks in advance!

I don't think you can on the email but got to each contact and edit them for different sounds, I'm not sure if it works on that new phone that way but as they don't have a dedicated room yet for it you had nowhere else to ask htc has good forums also

  • Droid Incredible 4g lte global services not working in UK

Purchased global plan for travel in UK, got here, no service.  I contacted support and after nearly an hour with two different people, they've started a problem ticket.  I can get a list of network operators on GSM/  dual, but cannot connect.  I have tried GSM only as well.  It does not seem that I have the very latest software update, but when I check via WiFi for new updates, there aren't any.  Does anyone have any clues about how to get this thing to work?

The DROID Incredible 4G LTE should already be running either Android 4.0+ for its operations system. Which means you can disable many of the pre-installed applications. Go to settings > Apps > slide to the All view. Disable each application individually. You might have to uninstall any updates before the disable button is available.
The DROID Eris is only three years old. It was released in November 2009. 12 minus 9 equals 3.

  • Droid Incredible 4G LTE - Ridiculous bloatware killing phone (Staff response requested)

Before you even read all of it, please tell me if I'm barking up the wrong tree, and where I need to go to get an answer to this.
My question is: Why can't I uninstall default apps I don't want?
I was given a Droid Incredible 4G LTE for Christmas to replace my 4 year old Droid Eris, and while I really really like this phone, its battery life is an issue. So my first thought is, "keep the brightness down, install a task killer and see if that helps." Hardly. My battery life has gone from 6 to around 8 hours of minimal use, so I've done some more digging around. Looking around the advanced task killer app on my incredible 4g LTE, I am appalled at how many forced applications and services are on this phone, AND how they start up randomly and cannot be stopped. I have multiple examples prepared after only owning this phone for three days.
First off, what in the world is the deal with this forced bloatware? NFL Mobile, Amazon Kindle, TuneIn and Slacker radio, Amazon MP3, Verizon Tones, Google+, etc. These apps cannot be uninstalled, and many of them open automatically upon startup and slow the phone/eat battery life. Ex: slacker radio, google+, Amazon MP3 opens whenever I open my music. I can't even disable them without having to root my phone and use an app freezer, and I can't even do that because Verizon refuses to release an HTCDev unlocker for the 4G LTE. (but I can sort of understand that for people taking advantage of the 4g capability)
Why in the world would anyone think that this was a good idea?
I fully read the terms and conditions of my contract to ensure that this wasn't included, and after nearly an hour, Verizon does not reserve any right to manage a user's personal applications against their will, only the phone's operating system. I don't want NFL Mobile, Amazon Kindle, TuneIn and Slacker radio, Amazon MP3, Verizon Tones or Google+, and I have no way to uninstall or disable them. That is RIDICULOUS. I even have an option to defer from software/firmware updates, the fact that I can't remove these unwanted applications is insulting.
    Also, some other examples:
4 instances of Google Maps open at once for no apparent reason. I don't have anything (weather widget, clock, weather lock screen) that warrants google maps or location services needing to open. What in the world is going on there?
My bluetooth service cannot be force stopped.
My Notes (two instances of this app open) and Calender applications open randomly; although I intend to keep and use these apps, this is very annoying.
Facebook opens randomly for no apparent reason.

Go to settings > Apps > slide to the All view. Disable each application individually. You might have to uninstall any updates before the disable button is available.

  • Droid Incredible 4g lte won't charge

Ok I have had my phone for only six months and it was working perfectly. Then last night I went to charge it and the charge light would not come on and it would not charge. I have tried three different chargers and the same thing happens each time. I am not really sure why, is there something that i could have done to it or is it an error in the phone. By the way, I had the Droid incredible 2 before this, and it did the exact same thing.

        Hi Tymc,
I'm sorry to learn of the trouble you have had in charging your phone. Since posting your comment, has the issue been resolved? If you have tried three different chargers, the issue is most likely with the device. Has there been any physical or liquid damage to the device? When looking at the charging port, do you see any debris, slightly bent connectors, or a change in color? Please supply any additional details, thank you!

  • HTC Incredible 4g LTE

Excuse me, but where is the discussion forum for the HTC Droid Incredible 4g LTE?  I upgraded to this phone back in June.  Is there no one buying this phone?  I know there's basically no community development on it, because the ******** at Verizon Wireless re-locked the bootloader, even though they initially allowed it to be unlocked.  What gives?  Does no one care about this phone?
I feel like Verizon Wireless has a severe lemon on their hands with this phone.  Granted, spec-wise, it's not that horrible, but there are definitely issues with this handset.  Where the heck is the community for this phone?  I feel very alone having chosen this phone as my upgrade to the original HTC Incredible...

I have a HTC Droid incredible 4G LTE with no Sim card in it.  Was wondering if I get a version Sim card I can use it for prepaid Verizon service or if I have to get a normal plan?

You should be able to use it on the Verizon prepaid ALLSET plans for smartphones.

  • Motorola Droid X or HTC Droid Incredible or Samsung Fascinate or Wait?

    Hey Guys,
Im currently an At&t customer and I absolutely hate my service. I went with it for the At&t Unity Family Plans and Rollover, but have since found it sucks. I currently use a Blackjack II. Anyways, my contract just ended and Im looking at buying a new phone soon. I am only considering Verizon due to the reputed network reliability.
At this point I have several options in front of me, and I want you guys opinions on what you think is a good phone for me? I generally consume a few GB of data per month, send 2500 texts or so, and talk a little as well. My primary uses are gaming, multimedia, texting, and web browsing. Size isn't an issue, however I do a LOT of multitasking.
Please tell me which of the following is the best phone for me in your opinion?
    Motorola Droid X
    HTC Droid Incredible
    Samsung Fascinate
In addition, after doing so, do you think its worth it to buy now? Or should I wait a few more months and get the rumoured LTE phones or iPhone thats coming to Verizon in late 2010/early 2011.

I want to point out it is not my intention to ruffle any feathers. I used to considered myself a loyal Verizon customer, but maybe after nine years with any carrier you have seen too much of the true nature of the way they conduct business. In Verizon's case it is my opinion in the last three years particularly they have gone over the line in terms of unfair restrictions and misleading terms and pricing. This has been born out in succesful lawsuits ( http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2007/10/ny_verizon.html )
( http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/wireStory?id=10975100 ) there are more, but you get the idea.
Wicked One regarding Sprint and Verizon Upgrades, I am not sure about that but here is what I understand:
First Off ETF for Sprint is $200 for Verizon it's $350
"Verizon Wireless came under FCC scrutiny in early December after it doubled its ETF for netbooks, smartphones and some feature phones. No official action has been taken on the matter."

    RE: Phone Upgrades
As far as I know Verizon does not offer anything at one year, whereas Sprint does. The catch is what the new phone you are buying will cost you at one year into your two year contract. With Verizon my understanding is at 1 year into your 2 year contract, you pay a $20 upgrade fee and then you can get the new phone you want at a 1 year contract price. So if you were upgrading to a Droid Incredible today under these circumstances you would pay $20 + $269 ($369 - $100 rebate) or $280. With Sprint in the case of the EVO or any other plan where you pay more than $65 month you get the two year price after one year so you would be paying $200.
I wish I could say Verizon is the best, but I have found them to be more focused on pinching money out of our pockets, via weazle marketing gimicks, like "Unlimited" plans that are NOT unlimited, or convincing you that you get more when you actually get less or get a paragraph of restrictions in the small print. Verizon has the best coverage, but that does not balance out any more with me. Most of the time, except when I am traveling in rural areas, I think the other cariers will offer similiar service. I am very close to conducting a personal 30 day test.

  • Buying on Ebay a HTC Droid Incredible ADR6300VW Ve...

I already have a Skype account for my home phone.  Will I be able to use this droid phone with my current account?   I just want the phone for wifi access.   Thanks.

The original DROID Incredible and the DROID Incredible 2 are 3G only smartphones. So you can activate them on one of the prepaid smartphone monthly plans.
If it is the 4G LTE model, then it couldn't be activated on a prepaid plan.

  • Droid Incredible HD

Does anyone have any info on the Droid Incredible HD supposedly coming out in October?

    From Droid-life.com :
"The vigor/incredible HD should be able to hold its own though.
It’s rumored to be the first device with a true high definition screen with 1280 X 720 pixels and measuring 4.3-inches. It’s also rumored to have a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a 8MP rear camera.
Oh, and let’s not forget its 4G LTE radio, something we saw when it passed through the FCC.
All in all, it looks like a fantastic release but one that certainly will be met with stiff competition."

  • DROID Incredible Keeps Dropping Internet in 3G Hotspot Mode.

I keep having a problem with my DROID Incredible when using it in the 3G Hotspot mode. I live in a rural area and the local phone companies won't update their phone lines out here (the lines are at least 20 years old) to allow DSL capability (cost prohibitive). While using my cell phone as a 3G hotspot, it will intermittently drop internet connection anywhere from 25 to 50 times in a 3-4 hour period (I have many print screen images showing that my computer is connected to the phone, but the phone is not connected to the internet). Pages will stop loading so I have to reload pages up to 5-6 times before the page completely load on my computer. Of course, this eats up my 2GB download plan real quick. Also, when I check my Network & Sharing window on my computer brfore I log off, I usually average anywhere from 3K-7K download speed. All this living approximately 1 mile from a cell phone tower that I have an un-obstructed view of. The local Verizon rep thought a factory reset might solve the problem, but that didn't work. Any other ideas?

    MoparArt101,
Hi there! That's defiantly an insane amount of disconnects.
I've researched and found no related issues on the Incredible in regards to the Hotspot.  So, I'd like to take this a little further and ask if you ever get an error message when it disconnects? What security setting do you have selected in the application? Also, when it disconnects, are you losing data on the phone completely? No 3G, no browser? Or just the hotspot feature?
Please advise so I can provide assistance to further resolve the issue.
    Have a great day!
You know, I am really tired of seeing this response from Verizon about this issue. This issue is rampant with numerous Verizon devices from actual hotspots to phones, if you aren't seeing it, you are either blind or can't read. I had the exact same issue with the LTE Hotspot, and now it's even worse with the Droid Charge I replaced that device with after 2 weeks of banging my head against the wall with the hotpsot. I have seen people all over the forums reporting this or a similar issue, and every Verizon employee that responds says the same thing. The engineers I spoke to on the phone said the same thing. You guys know this is a problem, how about do something about it rather than tell us we are id10ts...

  • HTC DROID INCREDIBLE DESKTOP SYNC & CHARGER FOR 2150 mAh BATTERY

While I await my HTC DROID INCREDIBLE I did what I always do when buying any mobile device; I ordered the largest capacity battery so I never have to put up with the low batt message. Talk to people all the time & they are always having to charge their batteries cause they never get the extended battery. Anyway, two 2150 mAh batteries with backs, are in route to my house. Question is, where is a desktop/sync charger for this phone that  will also charge these larger batteries
I will be needing to sync w/my PC. Like the desktop docking station style. Easier to see too.
    Anybody looking into this one???
Oh yeah, Yes, I gave up the iphone. To much inconsistency about the truth of whether Verizon was getting it. Jobs may have said it's coming to providers but as usual, no date.
Yes, I know about LTE. My antique E815 is dying & so was my patients
Hope this Incredible is a good one. I did notice the touch screen was excellent. That impressed me
Found this Sync/charger online. Company says it will accommodate the 2150 mHa battery while docked plus charge the second 2150 mAh battery too. Not sure I believe them.  I asked them if it didn't work can I return it. They told me yes but there would be a restocking fee. I replied, "You are guaranteeing me it will work but if for some reason it does not you are gonna charge me a restocking fee???" They said, "Yes". Don't like the sound of that.
    http://www.thinkhtcincredible.com/htc-droid-incredible-desktop-charger-10078.html

i don't think that will work. the micro usb port on the phone is on the lower left side of it.....RIGHT where it appears the dock you posted has side grips for the phone. this looks more like a universal type of dock that would work.....if htc hadn't put the port on THE SIDE of the phone (don't get me started on this....i just dont get why they didn't put the port on the bottom???). i suspect that there is no real dock for the inc because the port is on the side and our homescreen doesn't go to landscape mode (don't get me started on that either). there are some decent universal stands that i've seen....but nothing that the phone will just plug into.

  • Droid incredible front facing camera

How do I set up camera on my Droid Incredible HTC phone to take selfies? All I get is a blank screen

We want to get you seeing the whole picture, mackdaddy59. There aren't any special steps that are needed to set up the front camera. While you're in the camera application, tap Menu/Settings then Switch Camera to flip between the Main and Front cameras. Make sure it you're using a case on your phone that it's not covering the top section where the front facing camera is located on the Incredible 2 or Incredible 4G LTE. If you have the original Incredible, there was no front camera.
