DROID INCREDIBLE - CANT SEND A TEXT - READ WITHIN

OK so i have had my Droid Incredible for a month exactly with no problems what so EVER!!! so last night at 8 pm was the last outgoing text made.
I can receive texts, calls and outgoing calls... was on with tech support for 90 minutes and was sent to three different people and many power downs/battery pullouts and *228 programming calls.
He even programmed my number in a new phone next to him and couldnt send a text, sooooo that tells me that its the network,, riiiight??
Anyone heard of this problem??? EVER????
Just thought I would toss this one out there for all the other droid users.

I recommend a factory reset. Make sure you back up your device before performing the reset.
The most convenient way to do a factory reset is via the phone settings.
Press HOME > MENU, then tap Settings.
Scroll down the screen, and then tap Privacy > Factory data reset.
On the Factory data reset screen, tap
Reset phone, and then tap Erase everything.

Cant Send SMS Text from iPhone

I cant send any SMS texts. I can send iMessages and MMS (pictures), so when i want to text a non-iphone user i have to text, let it fail to deliver, then take a screenshot of this and send screenshot pic to the person.

Manual cutting of a SIM is always a risk, as you have witnessed. It is best to get a SIM directly from your carrier that is designed for your particular model of the phone. That eliminates these types of problems.

I cant send long text messages

I have noticed that everytime I try to send a long text message (over 160 texts) the person never recieves it. In combination with no notificatin of going over 160 characters, not being able to resend or cut and paste this is becoming a big and annoying problem for me. Is there something Im missing or is this just another major inconvience of the iphone? I love some things about the phone but there sure do seem to be some major flaws. Any help/advice?

thank you for such a quick response. Yes the recipient is another at&t customer using a blackberry. I never had a problem sending long text messages before getting my iphone (think the record with my old phone, a sony ecrisson w580i was 10 text messages long). I tried testing it today sending one that was 159 characters and one that was 161 characters, the 159 was recieved while the 161 was not. I tried contacting at&t and recieved a very shady answer (they suggested maybe the signal in the area which I reluctantly accepted at the time, however as time has gone on it has become obivious this is not the problem). I figured it must be another iphone characteristic however the lack of other owners mentioning this problems led me to seek help.

With full reception I cant send/receive texts or make/receive calls

This started 2 days ago randomly, even with reception I cant send or receive or make or receive calls. It doesnt happen all the time, but very frustrating. I phoned vodafone and they suggested a network reset, doesnt help. I also tried taking the sim out and putting it back again. Nothing works! Any ideas?

Can you dial *228 option 1 and reprogram the phone? If that also kicks you out, you may want to take the phone to your nearest Corporate Verizon store or call Customer Service if you have another phone that's working correctly. There may be an outage in your area or something similar going on at Verizon's end.

I cant send a text off my n81

i can do everything else but send a text
it comes up saying that the memory is full and there is to many applications open so close the applications and try again and i have deleted all my inbox and sent items
and it still wont let me send a text message

Perform a backup & format your phone or reset it to factory default.

I had my iphone yesterday everything works except for facetime and I can recieve txts and send imessages but i cant send normal text messages??????

I had my iphone ysterday set it up and updated it as it told me to. Everything works but my phone will not let me send normal txt messages. When going onto setting ands facetime and imessages it is still saying waiting for activation. It will only let me set imessages thru my email its nt giving me the option to send thru my phone number!! can anyone help!!!

Talk to your carrier. Your account may not be provisioned correctly for text messaging. That would explain the problem activating facetime as well, since it uses SMS to activate.

Without more details, we would just have to guess what the problem is. What is happening when you try?
You can only send iMessages to other iOS or Mountain Lion users. The iPad has no native SMS app.

It doesn't say "apple needs software update".
"Apple" is a company, and does not need an update. What exactly is the message? And why can you not update whatever it is?

2330 - Cant send long texts

Hi. First post so please be gentle! Love my Nokia 2330 but people are saying my texts only half come through. This seems to be on my longer messages only where they go into 2 or more texts in the one. Is there a setting I need to change so that long messages get through or is this a problem more with my service provider (Orange)?. Any help would be great. Many thanks.

If it's a new phone, chances are it's a problem with the way your account is provisioned by your carrier. If you ported your number from a different carrier, the port may not be complete.

Cant send text message

I am not able to send message but i am able to recieve messages and i can even send imessage but cant send normal text message. i removed the sim and used it in an other phone and i am able to send message. so its not the problem with the carrier. i also used different sim and i was not able to send message from my iphone with that also. i reset the to factory settings and i still have the problem :-(:-(. please help.

Contact your carrier regardless if this works when the SIM card is placed in another non-iPhone. Messaging with an iPhone is provisioned differently by carriers.

Phantom Text keeps reappearing Droid Incredible

I have a Droid Incredible. While deleting texts from an individual, a text came in. I now cannot delete it or read it. It only shows up when I've sent or received a text. Tried turning off phone and clearing notifications. Its been 3 weeks of this, annoying! Any advice?

I have a droid incredible and my best friend has an ipod touch. She can send texts to me and I receive them just fine but when I send texts to her, she doesn't receive them. Any suggestions on what might be wrong?

She is using the message free app and I was just using the regular texting option on my phone. I set up an account on text plus free cuz I thought that might help but she still can't receive them. I can send messages to other people with ipod touches just fine. I just started having a problem with her receiving my texts.
