  • Transfering pictures from Droid Razor Memory Card to Macbook Pro Laptop!

I have a Droid Razor & I'm trying to transfer my pictures from my memory card to my Macbook Pro Laptop. It's not working. Can someone please help me nobody seems to know anything about how this is done through Apple or Verizon. I can transfer my pictures onto my Dell Desktop with no problem. I'm getting very frustrated. I knew I should have bought the IPHONE but Verizon talked me out of it! Please someone help me A.S.A.P.
    Thanks So Much,  Ann

Thanks Mike for getting back with me. I'm trying to uninstall VCast from my laptop now. Hope it works. I've had my Droid Razor just before Christmas, my husband bought it for me for a Christmas gift. Now when I slide the bar across to unlock the phone it goes real slow. I'm really not very happy with this phone at all, but I guess I'm stuck with it. What do you think as far as to which you think is the better phone the IPhone or Droid Razor. I'm having a hard time uninstalling VCast from my apple too. If you have any suggestions I would really appreciate it. Thanks so much.    Ann

Thanks for following up Ann. When you plug in your RAZR, is VCast opening up on your laptop? If so, I suggest uninstalling it from the laptop so it does not interfere with what we're trying to do.  When multiple programs are trying to read the same USB device, it causes conflicts. As far as the iPhone goes, if you're still within your 14-day exchange period, feel free to exchange the device for one that you want.  Please keep me updated when you have the time.  Thanks, MikeS_VZWFollow us on Twitter @VZWSupport

  • DROID DNA SIM CARD ERROR (PREPARING SIM CARD)

Contact VZW for support.  They will either need to register your SIM, send you a new SIM or send you a new Jetpack accordingly.  Nothing you can do about that one other than reseat the SIM and try again.

  • Droid X Memory Card

So my 16GB memory card that came with my droid x randomly failed on me.
I was driving home one day and I hear my phone go off and it says I have a blank SD card.
Puzzled I took it out and replaced it, same thing. It wouldn't even let me format it. I even took it out and placed it in my computer, the computer couldn't read it and it wouldn't even let me format it.
While I am a little dissapointed that I lost all my photos it is fine.
I have the extended warranty (I can't find it on the website here to save my life, if anyone can direct me to where I can look at it, it would be nice.), does the warranty cover the card and if so how can I replace it?
I swear veizon does all it can to prevent you from replacing something on here. Haha. I can't find any information on how to return something. Haha. I'm just a verizon website newbie. Hardly on here.
    Thanks for the help. n_n

Verizon doesn't handle the Extended Warranty (Phone Insurance), but they should be able to give you the number to call for service.

  • Droid x2 SD Card

How do I remove the micro sd card from my droidx2 and is there a certain card I should buy to expand my memory?

You can't just drop app folders onto your new phone like that.  You may need to go about reinstalling the apps.
This is correct, also you sound like OP may be tring to access the internal memory instead of sd card and the device will not allow any changes to be made to root directory of device or copyanything to the internal memory.

    Hi,
I'm the proud owner of a brand spanking new X2. I purchased a 32GB card from VZW in anticipation of the X2. I have a strange problem or it may be a OS "feature" but It's causing problems with my apps.
    I
n the root of the phone are at least 2 entries for sdcard and for a strange folder called sdcard-ext.
There are entries under the "mnt" folder and also in the root of the phone.
My apps only show a 4.31GB SD folder not the full 29.xGB size and can't seem to find files that I put on the "SD drive" while in Windows 7  and the SD card in the USB Mass Storage mode..
Is this sdcard-ext an OS folder and is it because the SD card is a 32GB card?
Please help me. My apps can't find their files that I sent to the SD Drive in the SAME folders and structure that they were in on my Droid X.
Thanks everyone for any help and info...

1st thing, you are posting in the Droid X area not the Droid X2 but the devices are basically the same so you can still get help hear but that site may have a bit more info at later date..
Now back to your question, it you have the .apk files you can run them and they will allow you to sideload the apps to device, just copy them to sd card and click on them one at a time to install but it may be easier to just log into your Google Market app on new phone and download them from the market, kust click menu and My Apps from market app.

  • Trans file from pc to droid eris sd card

How do I transfer a file from my pc to the sd card on my droid eris phone?
    Thanks,

Connect via usb, drag down your notification bar, click "connect to copy files to/from your computer". Then find your phone under "my computer", it should show up as a drive. Then, just drag and drop.

  • Will Droid 2 SIM card work in a droid Bionic?

I have an old Droid 2 phone and I want to purchase a used Droid Bionic that does not have a SIM card. What would I need to do to make it work? Can I put the SIM card from my Droid 2 in the Bionic? Also, can I use the bionic with prepaid if I decide not to renew my contract?

I saw a very detailed tech report on that awhile ago.  Verizon is being very clever in that they are using some of the features of the dual-mode R-UIM-like features of the nano-SIM (C-SIM ?) slot for personal account information and LTE data provisioning.  But the Verizon CDMA network connection data is still stored in firmware and the integrated whole (in terms of connectivity to Verizon's own network) gets pretty complicated.
(and the older I get, the less interested I seem to be to follow the details and understand the technology - does one grow out of geekness over time?)
Regardless, from the OPs point of view, he'd need an iPhone with CDMA capability, regardless of how the voice and data network provisioning and account info is split between firmware and SIM.  A A1429 GSM-only iPhone is just that, GSM-only, no CDMA.

  • Droid Bionic Sim card

I just received the Droid Bionic today and the Sim card is not recognized by the system and therefore cannot be activated. Technical Support is closed by 11pm and it is now almost 12 midnight. There is no online support to address the issue of a sim card that is not recognized by the Verizon system.
Any suggestions other than waiting to go to the VZW store when it opens?

You will probably have to go back to your store.
The SIM is supposed to be activated when the subscriber info is entered into the system, either by the CSR at the store, or over the phone on that 877 (?) number. Then the card is inserted into the phone and the phone should activate over the air.
Supposed to, that is. My Bionic attempted to activate for 24 hours without success. The store guys were finally able to make the phone activate the next morning by inserting the card into an HTC Thunderbolt, letting the SIM activate, then re-inserting the card into my Bionic, where I was able to set the phone up from there.
Maddening, yes. But you might suggest this to the store guys when you take the phone in this morning.
    Good luck, Geri O

Can you tell me where I can get an SIM card for the Droid Razr.  I ordered one from amazon and it didn't come with a SIM card.  I would greatly appreciate any help.

SIM cards are free at your local Corporate Verizon store, or you can order one via Customer Service.

Please reply if you have a Droid DNA and are experiencing SIM card errors.
    1) Have had it more once every couple of months.
    2) Occurs more than once per week.
    3) More than once a day.
If you aren't experiencing SIM card issues, can you reply to the other thread?
    Thanks!

No sim-card issues here also...! I feel sorry for people who have to deal with this "Known" problem on a daily basis. I'm almost certain owners of the DNA are feed up with the run-around tactics Verizon and HTC are implementing. NOBODY wants to take ownership of this problem and in doing so would cost Verizon and/or HTC millions..!     So ------ what do they do in the meantime - they play the blame-game ---- pointing fingers and saying, "It's not me - it's you or in this case it's a software problem --- no it's a hardware problem"...!  At this point --- WHO CARES --- I just want a resolution once and for all...!  No --- I don't want a third sim-card to try (going on fourth---actually I've lost count), No --- I don't want to take-out the sim-card and clean it then reseat, and above all else No --- I don't want a refurbished phone when my "Brand-New" one is 2 months old..!

As demmo86rt, I'm not expecting too many folks to notice this thread, and so it's not a scientific poll or anything, but it would nice nice to find out if any DNA doesn't have this issue.

  • Droid DNA Sim Card Error

I know that this error is common with the DNA however it is extremely inconvenient and unfair when we have to pay our bill and the phone gets that error and drops service constantly. It is like Im paying for service that I can't even use. I went to our local verizon and asked about putting a different sim card in and they said it wouldn't really help. Does anyone know when this glitch may be fixed or if it is even being worked on?!?

    Hello SLRoss,
We want you to love your Droid DNA just as much as we love you. It saddens me to see that you have a frown face for the DNA. Well have no worries as I am here to change that all around. Let's get these dropped calls taken care of once and for all. May I ask what city, state, and zip code are you in? First, I want to verify that there isn't any network enhancements that may be affecting your service. Also, have you had the sim card exchanged already? If not then I would like to diagnose the device with the original sim card first. If you can be so kind as to send me a private message with your full name, mobile number, and a brief summary of the issue then I can begin an investigation for you. I'm looking forward to your reply.
    Thank you...

  • Droid Incredible SD Card Specs

Does the Droid Incredible utilize a Class 2 or Class 4 SD card? I just had my Sandisk 8gb card die on me (it was automatically removed from my phone). I have tried to load the SD card on mac and Windows platforms, but it isn't readable.
I am looking to buy a new one, but I want to ensure I am purchasing the correct type of SD card. I would prefer to not buy another Sandisk--any suggestions?
Also, has anyone heard anything regarding the 32gb causing issues? Or does any gb SD card work ok?

I have the full 206-page PDF of the HTC User Guide open here and page 202 full specs list verifies SD 2.0 compatible for the MicroSD expansion.
If you want an alternative to SanDisk I would look at PNY, Kingston, or Lexar.
Never tried a 32GB card so I cannot speak to that personally but the issue they had initially was where you could not properly format the 32GB card on the phone and to format it with computer first...Google admitted this was an issue.  Not sure if that has since been resolved.  Perhaps another user can expand upon that.

  • Droid X - SD Card issue

    Hello,
Droid X has been in use for 1 week now.  Have a possible issue with the SD card.  Yesterday I received a message on the upper left corner of the home screen that read "SD card removed"  I proceeded to restart the phone but the message remained.  I then unmounted the SD card, turned phone off, took out the battery and SD card, and restarted the phone, no message this time around with the SD card uninstalled.  Well, I reinstalled it and attempted to format it, but that option is ghosted out because I got the same message again "SD card removed".  Has anyone experienced this?  Any suggestions?

I had the same problem with my EnV Touch.  It was a defective SD port in the phone.  The card was fine.  The port where you put the card in the phone was bad.  Check the same for your phone.  If the problem is intermittent, then the connection is loose, it connects some times and not at others.  In any case, the phone hardware is the problem, not the card.  Your data on the card should be safe.
Your screen goes black when the automatic screen lock comes on when the back light times out.  Turn off the automatic screen lock if you are tired of always unlocking the screen all the time, however, remember to lock it when you put the phone down or your phone will be doing strange things when you put it in your case.

  • Motorola droid HD, SD Card

Verizon has known these phones have had a design problem with the SD card slot for sometime.  Getting a new phone through the insurance policy doesn't help because you end up the the same problems with the new phone.  Disappointed Verizon didn't step up and make things right with their customers.

pbz, We surely know that managing applications on your device is important. Let's look into this. Thank you for providing the error code. Do you receive an error message when trying to install and uninstall applications? It sounds like a good step would be to Clear the Data and Cache of your Google Play Store application. Go to Settings>Apps (scroll to all) > Select Google Play Store > Clear Data, Clear Cache (if available). Any change?
