Droid Pro BOGO Promotion

Has the Droid Pro BOGO promotion been disocontinued?  Any word if they offer that again or have any in store promotions?

Hello tstormy22,
The Droid Pro by Motorola does not have a BOGO offer as of now. Promotional offers change at all times and we do not have an estimated time of when or if the BOGO will be back on this device. Please continue to visit www.verizonwireless.com/products to view our product line and pricing.

So, I saw on the website where the Droid Pro is BOGO.
I am eligible for an upgrade this week, and I wanted to know if I could give the other phone to another Verizon customer who is not eligible for an upgrade.
    Thanks!

Typically not, to take advantage of the BOGO sale both lines need to be eligible for an upgrade or be new lines of service.  If you have a question on this call CS.

  • How to sync Yahoo Calender into a Droid Pro

I switched to Droid Pro from a Blackberry Curve.  One thing I am missing.  I can not get the Yahoo calender into my Droid Pro as per Verizon Technical Support.  Is there anyway to get Yahoo calender into a Droid Pro.  I will appreciate if someone could help.

That is only for the gmail calendar. I know that yahoo has a couple apps in the market, you may want to check those out and see if they give you the option. I also know that through the gmail web interface you can sync with different calendars, like holidays, professional sports schedules, etc. you may want to check your options there and see if you can sync with yahoo that way, then you go into settings for your calendar on your phone and choose which ones to include.

  • Droid Pro Cycling On and Off

My brand new Droid Pro keeps going on and off.  Bought it yesterday, can't get it to stop.  Suggestions please before I return to store?

Take it back and exchange it. This is an issue with the Droid Pro. Some are worse than others. Mine does this about once a week, but others have had this happen several times a day. Every Verizon employee I have talked to insists it's either an app you installed that is doing it, or just a reset that will fix it. Neither are true, as people (including me) have had the problem even after totally resetting the phont to factory default with no additional apps installed. When I called them after owning the phone for a week, they said they would need to prove in the store that it was an issue before exchanging it for me. I said, how can anyone prove this if it happens only about once a week. He said "sorry, that's the best I can do." I should have insisted they take it back!

  • Droid Pro keeps rebooting itself, what makes it do this?

Just got this Droid Pro and it is constantly turning on and off all the time, why?

        Hello there Cnsoldsigns!
I want your Droid Pro to be a pro and stay on! This is definitely not a normal function of the device. You mentioned you just got the phone.
Was it an upgrade? Did you get it from a buddy? Perhaps it has some apps on it that are causing it to shut off. Check for any Task Killers, Antiviruses, or Battery Savers and uninstall them, then reboot!
Keep me updated so we can fix this together!
    Thanks,

  • Droid Pro sent SMS not showing up

Hi I just got a Droid Pro earlier today and I'm pretty happy with it except for one thing. I cannot find nor see my sent SMS messages. When I send a sms message, it will show up, then dissapear when I leave the conversation. Some will stay randomly but I'd say 95% of my messages do not show up in conversation threads. Is there any way I can find those messages or change the settings to have them saved in the conversation thread?

We would be glad to help with your Text message settings. Are you using a text message application like Handcent? If not Please check your settings Go to  text Messages then menu>message settings>then text messages and check your settings. If your still experiencing issues please PM me and we will further troubleshoot with you.
    Thank you

Golleeeee, your memory's worse than mine!  You remember how to set up a widget?  Long press empty space on the screen where you want it?  Select "Widgets>Power control widget".  Hope the Droid Pro is still the same.

  • Droid Pro not working after yesterday's system software update

I downloaded it last night and now my Outlook exchange mail account shows no messages. I can send an email from my Droid Pro Outlook account but it does not receive any.
Checked with corporate IT and there were no changes overnight to our corporate email system. My personal POP mail still works. Also Calendar is not syncing from corporate back to the Droid or from the Droid.
Even more disturbing is the phone is running Hot and I can not get the charge above 20%
I have restarted several times and all the settings are pre update.

    Hello:
I think you interrupted the update.  The behavior you describe happened to me as well, but the update eventually finished.
I would unplug the Apple TV for 30 seconds or so to see if that helps.
This article describes how to reset to factory settings:

  • How can I free up internal memory on my Droid Pro?

Hi, for the last few weeks i have received that lil triangle in the circle saying that i have run low on internal memory/storage. I have cleaned up my sd card and attempted to move apps to but they i can not do so. The few apps that I have left on my phones internal memory are smaller and my phone should be able to handle it. I am left to try and remove system programs which obviously i can not do. It is so bad that my phone is actually rejecting incoming text messages, most of the time i do not even get notified of this happening. It is driving me nutz. If i use my browser or any app i have to remember to clear my my cache or history so there is just a lil bit space to allow my messages to come in. If it feels like taking it. Does anyone know what or how I can get to the internal storage to clear more things out? I have hooked my phone up to the pc, did the verizon mobile stuff, just about everything my enough to be technical dangerous but not enough to do this for a living brain can think off? Help please. This is a Droid Pro. I love this phone and do not want to get rid of it. Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.

Have you done a system cached clear??
(Steps may vary slightly but should be close)
    Power down phone
Hold volume up/down & power simultaneously until you see the Boot Mode Selection Menu
Use volume down to navigate to 'Recovery', use volume up to select
Should see screen with triangle and exclamation point next to an Android
Press volume up/down simultaneously to go into system recovery
Use volume rocker to navigate to 'wipe cache' and use power button to select
Once finished, use volume rocker to navigate to 'reboot system now' and use power button to select.
Are you storing pictures or music on the phone?  Move them to the SD card.

  • Droid Pro erased all my contacts!

At some point in time over the weekend, my phone has lost all of my contact phone numbers and some people. 90% of my contacts are there and their email/birthdays show but the phone numbers are gone. How do I fix this? all of my text messges are just showing the numbers. I tried to use my backup assistant, but the numbers arent there either....maybe i am doing this wrond. HELP!!!!

elieq21, I'm sorry your phone erased all your contacts. I was unable to locate an issue with the Droid Pro erasing contacts randomly. Ann154 is correct, if your contacts are saved with Google you can import them back to your device. I have listed steps below to export and import your contact to Google contact and back to your phone.
To Import Contacts to your device:
From a computer, launch an Internet browser then navigate to the Gmail website.
Sign in with the Gmail account username and password.
    Click Contacts.
    Click More actions.
    Click Import.
    Click Choose File / Browse.
Select the desired .CSV / vCard file then click Choose / Open.
    Click Import.
    Click OK.
To Export Contacts from your device to Google:
Launch an internet browser then navigate to the Gmail website.
Sign in with the Gmail account username and password.
    Click Contacts.
    Click More actions.
    Click Export.
From Which contacts do you want to export?, select the desired option.
    The Group
    All Contacts
If Group was selected, then select the desired contact group.
    My Contacts
    Friends
    Family
    Coworkers
    Starred in Android
    Most Contacted
From Which export format?, select the desired export format then click Export.
Google CSV format (for importing into a Google account)
Outlook CSV (for importing into Outlook or another application)
vCard format (for importing into Apple Address Book or other application)

  • Droid Pro- how to delete apps and google maps question

is there anyway I can delete verizon apps off my droid pro?? I mean for example there is the google maps that came on it, a navigation, and VZW navigator that came it. I only use the google maps, and I want the other 2 off and I can't figure it out.
Also,  my google maps updated today, and the new feature on it is 3d maps. How the heck do I find the 3d maps?

Carrier-loaded apps are part of the phones everywhere; Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, etc.  I've had them on even the feature phones--Backup Assistant, Get It Now, etc.  They can not be deleted on any phone on any carrier without [Edited to comply with Terms of Service] which is another topic.  You can set up your home screens to your satisfaction by deleting any unwanted icons--press and hold the icon, then drag it to launcher tab which should be highlighted red--it serves as the trash can.  This is how it worked on my Droid 1.

  • HELP! Droid Pro user traveling in Europe...phone capability lost

    Hello forum...
I started a two month trip in Europe last week. Upon my departure, I signed up for an international data package so that I could catch up on email and use my phone's gps to navigate the areas I visit. I have had numerous issues since arriving, most dire is that I have absolutely no phone service whatsoever....there is a red circle and slash through the bars at the top of the phone's display.
I have been through customer service already. They have confirmed that I am on the data plan. They have confirmed that my SIM card is valid. I actually had service for a short time after that (2 days), but then the phone went dead again. At present, I am only able to use the phone through my hotels' wi-fi networks....but never is there any wi-fi available to the phone outside of these secured, password protected connections. I wouldn't be able to even make an emergency call if I needed to as the phone will make no calls whatsoever.
I have run out of ideas. I have gone through the phone's settings and everything checks out: wifi is enabled, data roaming is enabled, networks are set to global (gsm and CDMA do not work...the phone cannot find any available). The sim card number in my phone matches the number on the card.
I am close to simply suspending the account at this point, but ideally, it would be nice to have the phone's capabilities available to me. After all, I did purchase this phone with this trip in mind. Funny thing...I am writing this from my iPad sitting in a hotel in Turkey. The iPad has no plan yet works perfectly in spots where I can find wi-fi networks to latch onto. Only thing is...I don't want to carry it around with me everywhere I go.
Thanks to anyone who may have ideas for my problem!

The Verizon sales associates recommend activating the phone for international roaming the day before leaving the country while you still have Verizon service.  *228 and pushing 2 to confirm roaming takes a minute or two minutes for success. Roaming allows you to use Verizon's partner networks outside of the U.S.
I unfortunately do not know how to activate international roaming for your phone since it is outside of the Verizon network. From what I know, at this point, you cannot make calls using Verizon's partner networks in Europe with your Verizon SIM. So that is the reason your phone is not working.
However, with the Droid Pro, you have the alternative to unlock your phone. If you call Verizon global services (908-559-4899), they can provide you with an unlock code. This will allow you to use your mobile device with another SIM card such as a local cell phone service provider. This is good for calls around Europe, and incoming calls are free.
    Good luck!
