Droid Pro keeps rebooting itself, what makes it do this?

Just got this Droid Pro and it is constantly turning on and off all the time, why?

    Hello there Cnsoldsigns!
I want your Droid Pro to be a pro and stay on! This is definitely not a normal function of the device. You mentioned you just got the phone.
Was it an upgrade? Did you get it from a buddy? Perhaps it has some apps on it that are causing it to shut off. Check for any Task Killers, Antiviruses, or Battery Savers and uninstall them, then reboot!
Keep me updated so we can fix this together!
Thanks,

  • My macbook pro keeps rebooting. What is the problem?

    Hi,
I have a macbook pro that I bought in August 2010.  Performance has been awesome until this past month when I noticed it getting slower.  This past weekend for the first time ever it would freeze and reboot itself.  I took the action to clean up large files, unloaded some apps, etc. all things they say to speed up your mac in the youtube vids.  Cleared up alot of space and it was moving faster for a day.  Then this afternoon it froze again and rebooted, but never successfully rebooted and now is just rebooting constantly.  I cannot even get to the log in screen anymore or turn it off completely....I am going to wait for the battery to die out, but what is the problem?  What can I do to solve this? I downloaded the newest IOS X update this past saturday, thats when I think the rebooting started, but the computer was getting noticeably slower before that.
Thanks for the help, really dont know what I am doing here

Time to see about the PRAM battery.
By the way iOS and OS X are different systems.
iOS is the operating system for iPads, iPhones, and iPod touch.
Mac OS X is the operating system for Mac labelled computers.

  • Mac Pro Keeps Rebooting itself

Hello, I am trying to figure out what is wrong with a Mac Pro I have.  It is 2.1, 3Ghz Quad Core.  It will run for about 30 to 40 minutes then automatically reboot it self.  I got it from someone else who told me about the problem, and I am trying to see if I can fix it.  When they gave it too me it was already booted up with Leopard, and a bunch of other programs.  It would stay on for about 30mins then cut off.  I wiped the hardrive, so I could do a fresh install of Snow Leopard.  It wiped fine, but when installing Snow Leopard it would get half way through and shut off.
I reset the ram, and even switched the ram out and the same problem.  I read that it might be the power that I plug in to, and I have tried different outlets and the same thing.  I am not sure what the problem is or what too do next.  I did pull the ram out, and it ran fine for about two hours.  Ofcourse there was nothing I could do without the ram in it, but it makes me think it is the ram, but I am not sure what else to do, as I have 32gigs of Ram, and I know not all the sticks are bad.  Is it possible the tray that the ram is in, can go bad?
If anyone can help me I would appreciate it.

There are two things that I can think of that might make the Mac Pro suddenly shut down, then immediately restart.
    1) Power cord. The Mac Pro standard power cord (if you are still using that cord) has a large square block of rubbery material around the computer end. This can make it more difficult than usual to fully seat the cord in the computer socket. A loose connection here could cause the behavior you describe, and would not leave a trace.
    2) Overheating. This can also make  a Mac Pro shut down suddenly. But in this case, i would expect that the shutdown reason would be in the log.
Regardless, there may be some logs of kernel panics or similar problems. Here is how to find them, then cut-and-paste a copy here:

Since installing IOS7.0.2 my iPad keeps rebooting itself every few minutes.  I can't do anything with it and cannot download the new IOS7.2 because it doesn't run long enough to accomplish the download.  What can I do?

    Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
     Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.
Or if this doesn't work and nobody else on the blog doesn't have a better idea you can contact Apple.
Here is a link to their contacts with most of the information below.

  • Driod 4 keeps rebooting itself and battery won't stay charged

What do I do about my droid 4 constantly rebooting itself after the verizon wireless update that was pushed out March 23 or so?
1st my phone was frozen after the update and I had to request a replacement phone.
2nd the replacement phone randomly just reboots, whether I am using it or not.
The battery barley stays charged even when it's on the charger.  I have all the data syncs off
I can't update my apps because the phone says it does not have network access., but I can make call and send text messages.
very upset about this, verizon should have tested the update further before pushing it out.  there was nothing wrong with my original phone, now I h ave a large paper weight that has to stay hooked to the charger.

        Hi alval!
I am sorry to learn of the rebooting issues with your phone after the latest software update. Let's get your phone our the paper weight mode and back into the awesome wireless device that it is! I had similar issues with my phone after the latest software update and I resolved all issues by doing a factory reset http://vz.to/TZvgLF as this clears any third party applications conflicts and any potential system errors created while processing update. Make sure to back up all your important media before doing factory reset as this process deletes all media and bring phone back to original state. Keep us posted.

  • Droid Maxx keeps rebooting after software update

Since the upgrade on 11/1/14 to 23.3.24, my droid maxx keeps rebooting. It has done this about 15 times since yesterday evening. Any ideas as to what could be causing this? It is also telling me that I need my GPS on and set to high accuracy mode in order to detect my location. Before the upgrade, I only turned my location on when I used the navigation app. Any ideas?

The Latest update is suppose to get the Phone prepared for Verizon's voLTE  it's hard to say how long it will be till all is functioning correctly with the system and the phones but, if your issues continue & it makes the phone unusable then I'd see if you can get another Droid Maxx hopefully one with out the new update..
My Current: Version is 21.11.21. my Maxx is still running with no issues

  • Macbook Pro Keeps Restarting Itself and then totally crashed

    Dear all.
    I am using Macbook Pro 13-inch (i7 2.9 Ghz, 8 GB DDR3, 750 GB) with OS X Maverick (10.9.4).
For the last few months, my Macbook Pro kept restarting itself and I usually ignored this issue until yesterday, my MBP fail to boot up, only display the grey apple logo and rolling icon below for almost 30 mins.
I tried the safe mode and reset NVRAM method and it still fail to boot up and sometimes a black text appears (aka kernel panic).
Then i took my macbook pro to the nearest Apple service provider and the technician said that it was probably due to the 750 GB Hard Disk since the HD itself is a faulty product, therefore we can't find any 750 GB HD nowadays. So he recommended me to replace my current HD with a new HD. I took his advice and I replaced it with 1 TB Toshiba HD. And then the technician reformat my MBP and installed the OS X Maverick. My Macbook pro able to boot up now.
However the next day I still find my MBP keeps restarting itself (until now) and take note that I didn't install any new softwares, I only updated the available  updates in Apps Store for the OS, iBooks, and iTunes.
Can anyone recommend me what to do? Is this a Hardware problem or software problem?
I'm thinking to switch back to OS Lion to see whether this is mainly due to OS Maverick.
    Thank you.

Unfortunately yes.   Since the computer is unable to boot up, that part of the software starts BEFORE the OS would.  Last time I had this problem, it turned out to be a faulty GPU (soldered to the logic board) and i needed to replace the logic board.    If you wanted to, you could indeed back up your personal data (you should ANYWAY, no matter what you do)  and you could try to do a fresh install,  but I'm fairly confident you are experiencing either faulty ram, or a faulty logic board.

  • Storm keeps rebooting itself then says low battery

My BlackBerry keeps rebooting itself at random times. After it reboots, it says it has a low battery. The battery is usually fully charged when it does this. It's annoying when I'm watching a video on YouTube or talking with a friend. I don't know what to do anymore!

    Hi,
You can try and remove the battery and allow your device to perform a hard reboot.  Next, try to update your PRL by calling *228 and selecting option 2.  Last, you can try to resend your service books.  Go to Email Settings, press the Menu Key and select Service Books the select Resend Service Books.  Hope this helps.

  • IPhone 3g keeps rebooting itself

yesterday all of a sudden every time i checked my phone i had no signal bars. i figured it was the area i was in. once i left it continued to have no service. i turned it off then back on and since then it keeps rebooting itself. i connected it to itunes to try to restore it and it restores but does not sync. it reboots midway through the process. can anyone help me out?

Well the post says the question is answered - but a quick search on Google for "iphone keeps rebooting" reveals many thousands of people with this problem... including me yesterday!
I seem to have gotten mine fixed... Somehow I managed to get the phone to reboot in recovery mode. This stopped it rebooting, as long as I didn't press the round button. After that, without starting it or pressing ANY buttons I plugged it into my laptop and selected restore. This restores the firmware, but when I tried to then re-sync the songs, it crashed again. I thought it was all over. However... the second time I did indeed manage to re-sync everything - and so far to day, everything seems reasonably stable. Mind you. I have to "reactivate" my phone connection with O2 in the process though... very odd and frankly Apple should be a bit more open about this clearly known issue and tell us what to do... either play around or get straight to a store.
    Dixon.

    Hello there, Fernandox26.
The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great steps for troubleshooting isues with unexpected power issues with your iOS device:
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2802
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?

  • K9A2 Neo keeps rebooting itself

I just had my motherboard and graphics card replaced but the new system keeps rebooting itself.  It can happen even if if the computer is just idling and I'm not doing anything with it but it happens a lot more frequently if I play certain games.  Windows was not reinstalled after replacing these two cards.  I don't know if it's of any significance but when I boot the machine the board beeps 5 or 6 times, instead of the 1 time I'm used to.  More often than not the unwanted reboot fails and ends in a blank screen but initial booting of the machine always succeeds.
I'm fairly green in these matters and would be really grateful if someone could point me in the right direction on this one.

Test each one memory stick alone with >>Memtest86<< , use the 1st DIMM slot close to CPU socket.
For details you can take a look here: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=103598.msg760534#msg760534
    What PSU you use? {List brand and details {amperes per each line}, look for them over PSU sticker. Example in my signature}
    Also check CPU for overheating.
