Droid RAZR ap to sync with Outlook

I am looking for a (hopefully free) ap to sync my PC Outlook contacts, emails, calendar, tasks with the appropriate RAZR aps. The Android market and VZ market reviews of the products are all over the board with some saying "Great ap" and others saying "Junk" about the same product. Anybody found a really good product that syncs reliably between your RAZR and Outlook?

There are a ton of options, which is part of what makes it confusing.   You can look at this grid which shows you which programs sync what data and how.  You can even click on the program and get instructions on how to do it.
Sometimes people write bad reviews because it doesn't work with their version of Outlook, or it doesn't support sync of some feature (calendar, tasks, etc.) that the software never claimed to sync with.  The chart should help you filter down your options.  Many of the apps have free or trial versions too so you can try it.
I used to use Outlook but have since switched over to Google for mail, calendar, etc. so I'm afraid I can't give any personal recommendations.  Having said that, it looks like MyPhoneExplorer has a lot of downloads and good reviews - and it's free! DejaOffice-Outlook also got good many good reviews and is free.  So maybe they're worth trying.

  • DROID Razr M Not Syncing with Gmail

For the last day or so, my phone, which I've only had a couple weeks, hasn't been syncing with Gmail automatically. I've restarted the phone twice to no avail. It will sync if I trigger it.
I also noticed that my phone slipped out of 4G into 3G a day or two ago. After the first reboot, it went back into 4G, but the 4G indicator and bars are grey instead of blue, as is my WiFi indicator. My Twitter app isn't having any issues connecting and updating.

        Hi thagrrrl79,
That's terrible! Let's get your phone syncing again.  What isn't syncing on your phone? From what I am reading, I would recomment powering your phone off and pulling the sim card out.  I would keep it out for 1 minute and then put it back in.  It sounds like your phone just needs a soft reset. If you still have problems, please send us a private message with your contact info.

  • Why build a phone that wont sync with outlook??

I know I can upload all my contact info to google as  .csv, but why OH WHY did they design this thing that will not simply sync with my outlook calendar and contacts. Unbelievable. My iPad was seamless, flawless, simple.

Your premise is not true - the Razr (and any Android device) will sync with Outlook Calendar and Contacts.  There are many different options depending on how you are using Outlook (personal pc, corporate exchange server, etc) and what and how you want to sync.
Here is a pretty complete list of software to sync Outlook and Exchange to an Android device. If you click on the software's title you will learn more about it and it often will show you how to set up the connection.

  • Blackberry Desktop Software will not Sync with Outlook

    Hello,
I recently installed Blackberry Desktop Manager 7.1 for Windows on a PC and it will not allow me to sync with outlook calendar, memos and contacts.  It will however sync windows Contacts, if I try to select the option to sync with calendar or memos it gives me an error that now compatible software can be found and to visit blackberry.com/desktop/docs.  I am running Outlook 2010 32bit in Windows 7 with the latest Blackberry desktop software.  I am not to familiar with Blackberry so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well I believe I have figured out the answer to my own question, I ended up having to do a repair installation for Office 2010 and I was able to sync from outlook to the Blackberry.

  • Pearl 8110 will not sync with Outlook Calendar

I have a Blackberry Pearl 8110, and I upgraded the Desktop Manager, then it quit syncing with outlook calendar.  It does sync with noes, memos, addresses, but no calendar.  when the sync is getting to the calendar it says "please wait" then just kicks me out.  No error message in the log, nothing.  I even retrograded back to 4.7.0.17, but no changed.  Here is what else I have:
    Blackberry 4.5.0 Core Applications 4.5.0
    Blackberry 4.5.0 System Software Properties
    Blackberry MDS runtime Properties 4.5.0.20
The calendar is the big thing for me.  Any Ideas??
    Thanks

I just wanted to let you know that I'm having the same problem with my 8120 and it started on the 18th.  I spent 3 hours, 39 minutes, and 42 seconds on the phone with BB support yesterday with no luck and we tried every trick they could think of.  I'll certainly let you know if I find any information since I too can't live without my calendar.

  • Calendar Will Not Sync With Outlook

Calendar won't sync with Outlook 2003. Tasks, memos, and contacts will though. Under default services, it lists Facebook as my Calendar (CICAL). What do I need to do to change this so that my calendar syncs properly?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I think I have the very same problem, but I'm not techno-savy enough to understand the solution. Can you elaborate more? Like where do I find "Default Services"? And, where do I find "CICAL"? Please, make my day. Thanks

  • How can I get iCloud to sync with Outlook 2011 calendars??

Recently got a new MBA11 and use an iPhone and rely heavily on Outlook. All I want to do is be able to sync my calendars and contacts across devices. When I used to be on Windows I could simply do this with Google Calendars and Google sync.
Outlook 2011 isn't or doesn't support syncing with google (not sure who's fault this is).
I thought iCloud would fix this however iCloud creates new calendars in iCal that won't sync with Outlook.
Does anyone know a work around?
Personally I would have thought this kind of thing would be simple, easy and a necessary function whether it be on google, apple or microsofts part!!

Microsoft have not made Outlook for Mac compatible with iCloud since they haven't bothered to include support for the industry standard CalDAV and CardDAV protocols iCloud uses.
    See: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2648915
Apple cannot do anything to rectify this, as they don't make Microsoft Office. It is in Microsoft's hands.
It wasn't necessary to buy Office for Mac to sync with iCloud. All Macs come with all the applications required for syncing with iCloud for free.
Use Apple's Mail, Address Book and iCal.

  • How do I remove one of the calendars from iCloud but keep it on the iPhone to sync with Outlook by USB and keep the other calendars synced on iCloud ?

iPhone 5, Macs and iPads at home, Windoze7 system at work.
Using iCloud to sync calendars, contacts, etc on all the home devices.  Used USB cable to sync at work with the Windows system, with the Outlook 2010 corporate account (corporate server).  I need only the Outlook calendar to be synced, syncing the contacts created too many problems with duplication, etc.  No need for that.  Worked fine until the latest upgrate to iOS7 and iTunes 11.1.  Used to have a calendar that was not on iCloud and was simply and exclusively syncing between the iPhone and the Windows computer at work. The other 3 calendars synced fine with the macs and iOS devices via iCloud but not with the machine at work - keeping private records private.
Upon the iOS upgrade, all calendars are now on iCloud.  I am no longer able to remove one - for security too - from the iCloud and sync it with the Windows computer exclusively.  I managed to sync it once on the PC with iTunes by switching iCloud off on the iPhone before connection by USB cable.  Trying it again, it tells me that it will erase all items on the Outlook account (the "more than 25% of your records are going to change" alert) and won't add or modify any.  I stopped the sync in time...
Tried on the iCloud site for a solution to remove the calendar, nothing.
There is no iCloud setup on this corporate computer - no access permitted. The USB cable connection is the only solution and up to the upgrade of the iOS this went seamlessly.
    Any solution out there?
    Thanks
    Vladski

I share a similar situation (usb iTunes sync with Outlook with my corporate laptop; personal calendar on icloud).
With IOS7, at first, iTunes/Windows does not propose Outlook sync anymore. I need to switch off calendar from iTunes to enable usual usb sync with Outlook. I had to sync it twice while checking "replace iphone data" to get a stable behaviour (like before) IOS7.When I try to re-enable icloud calendars, it proposes me to merge them...
I did not test merging so far...
IOS7 and iTunes 11.1 are not completely polished ;-)

  • I use iCal, work wants me to sync with Outlook, how do I do this?

    Dear Community.
I'm happily using iCloud to run my diary across all my Apple devices, how do I get my current setup to sync with Outlook so my office can see my diary?
I don't want to change how I make appt's, I can make an appt on my phone, iPad or MacBook and it'll sync nicely, I just need to be able to share one specific Work diary in my iCloud/ Apple account with Outlook. I use Outlook on my MacBook for email only, I have no interest in using the calendar function other than to keep it synced to allow my colleagues to access it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's bad enough that people want to be able to track my daily schedules, without having to spend hours trying to figure out how to keep the system I have for diary management and not have to move everything just to placate someone.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Crackyrich,
I may have a possible solution for you.  Since you have everything set up in iCloud, have you tried the Calendar sharing feature?  You can create a work calendar to keep it separate from your personal calendar, and share the work calendar privately or publicly.   Here's how:
    iCloud: Calendar sharing overview
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2689
You can share a calendar both publicly and privately with other people. Sharing gives you flexibility in managing calendars. For example, you could create a calendar for your child’s sports team and share it privately with just the coaches so they can edit it. You could also share it publicly with all the parents so they can view (but not change) it whenever they want.
    Sharing works as follows:
Public calendars can be shared with anyone. To access public calendars, visitors need to use Calendar on a Mac, Microsoft Outlook on a Windows computer, or any other app that supports the iCalendar file format.
A public calendar can’t be edited by anyone but the calendar owner (the creator).
Private calendars can be shared with other iCloud users.
Participants can view the calendar using iCloud Calendar; the Calendar app on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or a Mac; or Microsoft Outlook on a Windows computer.
As the owner (creator) of a shared calendar, you assign edit privileges to the invitees to control who can modify the calendar. There are two types of access privileges that can be assigned:
Participants with View Only access can:
View the calendar and change their view (from day to week, for example), without affecting the view of other participants
    Change their own calendar preferences
Participants with View & Edit access privileges can do everything listed above, plus:
    Create and delete calendar events
Change details (for example, the name, date, and time) for calendar events
Track the responses of guests invited to a calendar event
Participants can’t invite new people to a shared calendar.
Note:    If multiple participants try to edit a shared calendar at the same time, the changes that are saved first are kept and reflected in the calendar. The person whose changes arenʼt saved sees a message that his or her changes werenʼt saved.
If you disable your iCloud account, any shared calendars you created become unavailable; all participants automatically receive an email notifying them that the calendar is no longer shared.

iCloud: Share a calendar with others
You can share a calendar both publicly and privately with other people. For specifics about viewing and editing privileges for shared calendars, and how participants can access the calendars, see Calendar sharing overview.
    Share a calendar privately
Click the Share button to the right of the calendar name in the sidebar, then select Private Calendar.
Note:    You can also share the same calendar publicly. For instructions, see the next task, “Share a calendar publicly.”
Type the invitee’s email address in the Add Person field and press Return.
Click the pop-up menu with the invitee’s name and choose access privileges (View & Edit or View Only).
For each person you want to share the calendar with, repeat steps 2 and 3.
When you’ve invited everyone and set their privileges, click OK.
Invitation emails are sent from your iCloud email address to the participants you specified.
    Share a calendar publicly
Click the Share button to the right of the calendar you want to share, then select Public Calendar.
Note:    You can also share the same calendar privately. For instructions, see the previous task, “Share a calendar privately.”
To invite people to view the calendar, click Email Link.
Type one or more email addresses in the To field, then click Send.
The people you specify automatically receive an invitation email that includes the calendar’s URL. An invitee doesn’t need to be an iCloud user to accept an invitation to view a shared public calendar.
In the sidebar, a shared calendar has a dark Share button.
You can also resend invitations to one or more invited participants at any time.

  • The last update turned on iCloud. How do I get my calendar to sync with outlook now?

The last update turned on iCloud. How do I get my calendar to sync with outlook now?

iCloud wasn't on, I accepted iTunes offer to upgrade to 6.1.1.
Next time I went to sync through iTunes, iCloud was on.
Your advice appears to have solved my problem...for now.
    Thank you.
Historically, the upgrade to 6.0 lost all of my contacts.
A manual restore brought them back.
Tech support said "Oh, that happens sometimes, you have to back up before upgrades", fortunately I do.
Again, thank you for the help.

  • IPhone will no longer sync with Outlook 2007

I've had my iPhone for about 16 months - the sync with Outlook 2007 worked great until about 3 months ago (I'm guessing previous update to the one that happened today.) No changes to the laptop I synch with - Vista.
In iTunes under the "Info" tab for Calendars I see the message "No supported calendar application can be found."
Normal sync for music works and photo uploading works fine.
    Help!
    Thanks!

    Hi P,
Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes and Outlook. You can download the latest version of iTunes here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

  • IPhone no longer syncs with Outlook Contacts/Calendar

For months I was syncing with my computer at home for music and videos, then I bring my iPhone to work and sync my Outlook Contacts and Calendar.
Now, when I plug in my iPhone on my work computer, everything operates as it used to, it still says it's syncing contacts, then syncing the calendar, but after it's done, when I look at the calendar or contacts in my iPhone, nothing has changed. It's simply not syncing with Outlook anymore, even though the status bar at the top of iTunes says it is syncing.

It appears I have solved the issue myself and thought I would share the solution in case anyone runs into this problem.
In Outlook, I only have one profile. However, Outlook somehow had some settings changed where it prompted me for which profile I wanted to use each time I started Outlook (even though I only have one profile). Because it was prompting me to choose when I start Outlook, I am guessing that when iTunes tried to access Outlook, it was also prompting iTunes to choose which profile to use as well. Since iTunes didn't know which profile, it wasn't syncing properly (note, iTunes never asks you which profile you want to use).
To fix this, I went to the control panel, double clicked the mail icon, clicked the button that says "Show Profiles". I highlighted the only profile I have listed in the drop-down menu and checked the box that says "Always use this profile".
I then sync'd iTunes with my phone and the calendar and contacts finally updated!

  • Palm Treo no longer syncs with Outlook 2007 calendar

Foolishly I upgarded to Office 2010 not realising that my Palm won't sync with Outlook 2010. I reverted back to Office 2007 but now my Treo won't sync with the calendar. All else appears okay. I get the following message:
This handheld is associated with a differentprofile. To synchronize with that profile, close Outlook and synchronize again. To use this device with current Outlook profile, open the Hotsync custom dialogue and change the conduit settings to use this Outlook profile. See the Oultlook conduit help for details.
The conduit settings only allow me to change which over-writes which - computer or Treo. When I chnage to get the computer to over-write (as this is where my up-to-date info is, the same message appears. I going to get an iPhone soon if I can't get help. This is crazy.
    Someone out there help...please.
Post relates to: Treo 680 (Unlocked GSM)

If I understand correctly, then the old Outlook 2003 is no longer available to you. If that's the case, then all of your information should have been taken from your local outlook 2003 and put into the new outlook 2007 exchange. The only way you can sync with exchange is by using EAS. You will need the server address, domain name, and the username/password you use to log into outlook. I expect you may not have some of this information, which is where your IT department will be able to fill in the blanks. You won't need to use the Treo for email, but now that outlook 2003 is gone, that isn't an option for your contacts/calendar/notes anymore. When setting up the EAS on your device, it will ask what you want to sync, and you can select/deselect the options you prefer.
Hope this clarifies things a little bit.

  • N86 no longer syncs with Outlook Calendar and Task

I have been having much troubles with syncing my N86 (recently updated to 30.009 firmware) to my Outlook 2003 with Ovi Suite 2.1.1.1.
At first, the Contacts kept duplicating themselves.  I have about 1000 contacts in my Outlook, but Ovi Suite (and my N86 device) ends up sometimes with 1800 contacts -- of which 800 are duplicates.  This is very annoying and time consuming to clean up of course.  I have discovered that the problem is somehow linked to Ovi.com.  I have since turned off syncing to Ovi.com and only keep my N86 device in sync with Outlook and Ovi Suite.  But that wasn't before I had to basically delete all my contacts from the N86 device and from Ovi Suite, followed by a sync to Outlook.
Around this same time, I have noticed that my N86 device was missing appointments that I had entered into Outlook 2003.  I discovered that the N86 device no longer syncs to Outlook through Ovi Suite.  I keep getting the error message "Sync Canceled -- Could not sync calendar items and tasks. Plug the USB cable into your device again or connect via Bluetooth. Then sync again."  I did reconnect my N86 device but the same error message shows each time.  Basically, Ovi Suite has stopped syncing Calendar items with my N86 device now.
Can anyone suggest what might have gone wrong?  Has anyone else experienced this problem?  What can I do to get my calendar items back into my device?
    - Kin

    Hi Tickles,
Could you be more specific about your issue.
Which operating system do u use?
Are you trying to connect thru cable or thru Bluetooth?
Go to OVI suite -> help -> About nokia OVI suite -> System information. Paste the information...

  • My iphone no longer syncs with outlook 2007

My iphone suddenly no longer syncs with Outlook 2007.  I have checked the Outlook add-ins list.  I can find no solutions.  Apple phone support did not help, genius bar did nto help.  Any suggestions ??

Is it everything that no longer syncs, or is it just one of the things, i.e. just calendar, contacts, notes? Many times as mentioned in the earlier post, it can be caused by a corrupt .pst file. Run the scanpst.exe application that resides in the Office folder. That will run a repair on the .pst file. Go into iTunes and reset the sync history and then try the sync again. If that doesn't help, it is possible there is a corrupt appointment in the calendar. That can cause a problem with syncing.
Try those couple of hints and see if that helps. Come back if it doesn't and let us know some more specifics.
