I have a Droid Razr HD that froze on me and I cant figure out how to reset it or take the battery out of it. Please Help!!!!

I had to force reboot my droid razr. PLEASE HELP!

I had to force reboot my droid razr except that's not what happened. It turned off and is now just vibrating and will not turn back on. Please help I have no other phone.

Have you tried holding the Volume Down button & then pressing the Power on button (while holding the VOL Down?)
Can you boot into SAFE MODE ?
- Press & hold BOTH vol up & down buttons at same time
- Power up the phone - continue to hold the vol buttons for like 1-2 mins ..
If successful, should come up saying "SAFE MODE" in lower left corner. Does THIS work? Power off & on as usual then. What happens?

I'm glad your phone is up and running again and the tips here helped. There's many factors that could cause this, but it's mostly the maintenance of the phone, such as closing apps you're no using and downloading safe apps. I had this same issue. I solved it finally by downloading the free "official" google calendar disabling the phone calendar app (Google Calendar - Android Apps on Google Play) and disabling the phone calendar. Then you need to choose your gmail account to sync with your calendar app. Now my entries on the phone are showing up on my PC.

Droid Razr software update issues

Anyone having issues installing new Droid Razr update? Selecedt Settings, About, System Update and it states Your Device is Up to Date? Its actually not up to date.

I revived the update and it failed to update and wouldnt recognize my sim!
I did a factory reset and it froze my phone.. I have had 7 razr's with problems and I should not have to deal with this. They told me I can call motorola...*** gfy! I am a costumer ...you call! They said I can switch out my phone for a droid charge or thunderbolt...are you joking you *** hole they sell for ten bucks on ebay. They said that there was no know issues for the razr on their system...bull **** the last ten techs told me there was..with the screen and battery and with 4g not holding. Then she said the update was to fix the battery life...but you just got done telling me there was no know battery issues..so they must of just been updating it for??? the razr maxx has a bigger battery and a screen with a different glue to fix two know issues. thats why it was released 4 months after the razr...they sure know how to sell ********?? or do they?? being a part of the purchasing department our 300 employees will be choosing a different carrier soon.

Droid Razr Maxx/Issues with Exchange Sync and Texting

I have a Droid Razr Maxx. Since the KitKat update to 4.4 in May 2014, my Exchange email account will not sync. My Comcast account does. If I power cycle the phone, it will sync the Exchange account for a short time until I receive the following error message: 'couldn't open connection to server due to sec..." When I touch the error message, it just goes away. If there is more of the error message, I'm unable to see it. I have removed the Exchange account and added it back in three times. My IT department indicates they have not made any changes to the security levels, but have fielded several questions from other Android users with the KitKat update. My text messaging service also stopped. I've been reviewing all forums and tried different things, but to no avail. I went to the Verizon store, who just said that there have been 'lots' of complaints about KitKat and that I should buy a different phone. This $200+ phone is only 7 months old. Please help!!

After deleting and adding my Corporate account, visiting the local Verizon store several times, visiting my IT department, and now wiping the phone and re installing all software, the Corporate email still only syncs when I power cycle the phone. We are a BYOD company which means every other phone works with the Exchange account. My phone also worked up until the KitKat update in May 2014. The only recommendation I have received from Verizon is to replace my 8 month old Motorola Razr Maxx with a entirely different phone at full price. The tech I spoke with at Verizon made the statement that she has avoided updating to KitKat given all the customer issues she has had to deal with.
I'm in a technology field and understand when glitches occur, but also expect functionality issues to be addressed. I've been with both Verizon and Motorola for a long time, but very doubtful I will continue this relationship when contract time is up for renewal. I'm carrying my iPad around to get the Corporate emails and the Razr Maxx has been relegated to just being a very expensive phone.

Droid Razr Calendar Events synced from Gmail not visible in month only in Agenda

In my old windows phone, I could see the events of the day in the monthly view, but on my droid razr, I cannot see what events there are in the monthly display but only in the agenda display. I have searched and still not able to find if this is possible with the droind razr. I can see in the Google calendar the events showing in the monthly display. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated. I love the phone, but not this lack of calendar visibility. Perry

Good morning! I know the importance of a monthly view on the calendar, as I was just looking for this on my Galaxy Nexus the other day! I recommend checking out the Android Market for a calendar application (or even widget) to get the experience that you enjoy the best! That's the great thing about the customization of Android. I'm glad you love the phone otherwise, I'm sure the Market will have what you need to love everything about the Droid Razr.

I know this is not Verizons fault but it's also not mine. I would like to change my phone to an iPhone 5s and keep my same plan but switch to the Edge program. Is this possible? I don't think I should have to pay an early termination fee or anything like that since my phone has become almost unusable. I know under normal circumstances you have to wait 2 yrs to upgrade but due to the update and the poor service I'm now getting I hope Verizon can make an exception. Thank you.

How recently did you switch? If it's less than 60 days, then Verizon simply reinstates your previous account. The fact that you were on the EDGE plan and mailed the devices back, and they apparently are somewhere in the system, could cause complications, and it might just work out that you just go back on the same plan and they set you up with the same devices. I'm not sure how it will go - but since you are still being billed for the devices...

Droid RAZR maxx hd glass

Having a problem with a brand new phone sucks. No one knows what to do. I recently purchased a DROID RAZR Max HD and the employee put a screen protector on for me in the store. I removed it a week later because he screwed up. After I removed it the glass has these places on it that look strange. Not quite sure how to describe it other than trying to pour water over a waxed surface. These "marks" are around the edge of the glass and in the two places I would swipe my finger across the phone more frequently. I tried cleaning the screen but to no avail. I went to verizon and four employees tried to clean the phone and then said it looked better and asked me if I would like to pay my bill while I was in store. Needless to say the screen has gotten slowly worse. The only conclusion I can come up with is that the adhesive from the protectors removed some sort of coating on the screen. Anyone have any ideas? I'm going back to Verizon today and going to raise some more hell. Please let me know if anyone is having similar problems with their DROID RAZR Max HD or a corning gorilla glass screen. Sorry to hear about your screen problems! I have actually not heard of anything like this happening so I am intrigued. The parts of the screen that are affected, other than visually, can you tell there's anything there? Were you having any problems with the device other that the touch screen? Droid razr maxx

I have an Apple Airport Extreme and am trying to utilize the wirelss function with my Droid Razr Maxx...the reception is poor at best on my Droid (3 units) and Motorolla says to contact Apple for resolution as the Droids have good reception with all other routers I encounter. I assume it is some sort of setup in the router that needs to be changed as my Macbook Air's and other devices have great reception with the router.

Droid Razr M: KitKat update problems

Hi there, I have a few questions/problems with my Droid Razr M since the KitKat update was pushed to my device a few days ago.
1. I was on vacation in Europe (Austria/Hungary/Croatia) when the update was delivered to my device. I think the download happened in Austria or Hungary. Now I appear to have a non-US version of the update on my phone. For example, Airplane Mode is called "Aeroplane Mode", and so on. Do I have the correct version of the update? I'd like the version applicable to US phones. Can I re-download it somehow, now that I'm back in the US, and correct this?
2. Bluetooth no longer pairs with my BMW X1. My phone does not even see the car in available devices.
3. WiFi does not work with Bluetooth enabled. My phone will recognize my home/work networks, but will only say "saved", and not connect. I am reading that this seems to be a known issue. I use Bluetooth for my Fitbit and my car (referenced above). I cannot just go to 5G because my work WiFi does not have a 5G option (my home network does have the 5G option). I also would like to be able to use WiFi in public places like I did before the update.
Please let me know how to address these three issues. Thanks!

I had some hiccups when I got the upgrade to my LG G2. I know others have had problems with their KK updates, on Samsungs and even HTC.
I believe the KK upgrade, while in the ideal should leave the phone running perfectly under the new operating system will potentially fail because of the variation in how people use their devices and what they've downloaded, and the fact that some memory isn't initialized properly when the new OS loads onto the device. This is true regardless of phone manufacturer, OS upgrade, and even carrier. I think this is a reality with Android.
I think the only option is to perform what is called a "Factory Data Reset". But first you should backup any important photos, music, or videos, or other downloaded files. You should also jot down where you've placed icons, and even the settings for things like mail (incoming and outgoing server).
After an FDR, you'll have to do some work to get your device back running to a state you are comfortable and familiar with. In my experience, doing maybe 10updates over the years on 4 Android phones, about 40% of the time I didn't need to do an FDR. 60% of the time I did.
It is also possible there are some bugs in the new software load, but a good many of these odd behaviors, across a range of devices (LG, Samsung, Motorola, HTC) occur because people did not perform an FDR following the update.

Droid Razr Dropping Calls

Is anyone else having problems with the droid razr cutting in and out then dropping the call. Today is the 4th day that I have been experiencing this. I've done a full factory reset twice already and the phone is up to date. Could it be effects from the hurricane? Verizon doesn't seem to have any answers for me. My phone is only 5 months old and have never had this problem until Sunday. They checked the area for problems and there were none. Please Help. I'm getting very irritated and my cell is my only way of communicating.

After Doing a Factory Reset you need to Let the Phone Get it's Legs under neath of it sort of Speak) it takes a while for it to Get things Re-organized in itself as it was before the Reset and you did two of them) Don't get me Wrong a F.D.R is good thing to do just give the little guy some time to catch up) And it should be fine. b33

Droid Razr M: KitKat Update Fail

I have tried to update my Droid Razr M with the OTA KitKat update and it fails every time. It downloads fine, but only installs about 25% then goes to the Android laying on his back with a exclamation point. It then restarts and says, "Software Update Failed". I have tried several times and even done a hard reset and it still fails. Please help.

Uneventful update: My stock red Motorola M had been gone since I tried to (removed) I had thought (mistakenly) that this indicated my system was corrupted but now I realize the logo is just that...an image.
Before the rest of you posted, I believed that if I did a hard reset, Kitkat would load. But apparently that is not the case.
(removed) though I did have before Tuesday.
Is it possible to wipe delvik and cache with a locked bootloader? If so, how?
