Droid Razr Maxx HD wont turn off when charging....

I have been using Droids since they have come out and very familiar with them. I recently (three days ago) upgraded to the Razr Maxx HD and went to plug it in to charge (i already powered down) and when I plug it in to charge, the phone comes back on. I shut it off, while plugged in, and it power off and then turns right back on again. I have tried all combinations and can't get it to STAY OFF while i'm charging. Suggestions?

My girlfriend has the Droid Razr Maxx HD. Shes has it for about a month and a half a few days ago it was acting funny so i had her turn it off and then it wont turn back on. I have tried the power+down volume method does absolutly nothing. But when i put it on the charger it shows the green charger light but nothing else at all. Any suggestions?

Power button on my R Maxx (not HD) began to fail. But unlike your phone, plugging it into the charger did get it to go on. But once it cycled to black screen it stayed there. Moto replaced the phone. Nuisance moving from one unit to another. But when I did a full hard factory reset before returning the phone, strangely the power button acted much better. But then the phone had been wiped clean so you may not want to venture there.

Packet data wont turn off when connecting to wifi

Hi
my packet data doesn't turn off when i connect to WiFi. The H+ keeps showing on the top of the screen even when on WiFi. Now i am not sure if the phone uses packet data or WiFi for surfing. Each time i connect to WiFi i have to manually turn off packet data from settings.. Can someone tell me what this is all about?

HT201412 my ipod touch is stuck on a app and wont turn off when i hold the home and lock button

I tried to open an app on my ipod touch but it has just got a white screen , is been like this for a while. I have tried holding down the home button and lock button for 10 seconds but nothing happens, i have tried plugging it in and nothing happens and it wont turn off either..... pllease help me

Try the remaining items of:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Droid Razr Maxx HD - Randomly shuts off since last update

Ever since the last update my phone shuts down and I can't turn it back on unless I push the volume down button and the power button for 10 seconds (reset). Then I have to push the power button and it starts up again. The phone will shut down randomly at any time even while I'm using it. Anyone else have this trouble? I will contact support before doing a hard reset.

Droid Razr - how do it turn off internet radio?

Not sure how to turn off an app. Turned on my music and when I go into Manage apps, if I highlight STOP it cautions me that I could cause a problem. How do I know app is turned off or how do I turn it off (New phone, new user, need help)

Well usually when your in an app Say Like Slacker for Instance and your Listening to it But you want to Stop it. Well you would hit the Pause button then Tap your Menu then you will see an option to Exit once you do it will stop. But one thing you can remember that Android is Set up to were you can go from one app to another and the System will adjust to it.

Ipad air wont turn off when closing cover

my i pad air won t shutt off when closing the belkin cover i bought at sams, i put a 3m screen cover on i pad . noticed it covers small hole on bottom of i pad
could this be the reason closing cover doesn t turn off i pad

It most likely does not have the magnets in the correct locations so the iPad has no idea when you close the cover.

Ipod screen wont turn off when recharging

I have an 80Gig Ipod Video.
Right now I am charging it via USB on my computer and the screen does not turn off.
Is there something wrong with the Ipod?

The screen stays lit up so you can see what your ipod is doing while its plugged in. IE: OK TO DISCONNECT, or SYNC IN PROGRESS/EJECT BEFORE DISCONNECTING
If you see the OK to disconnect text try closing itunes completely, this will let your ipod know its not in use.

Phone turns off when charging/ringtone changed on its own, all/most contacts were removed

My phone has been acting weird for some time now, months. It started with the text icon showing I had 1 text, always, when I dont have a new one and also it showed the same text I had last over and over in the widget bubble. It still does the widget bubble but not the text number anymore unless there is a real text there. I think I deleted something Go SMS or something to help with that...anyways now all of my contacts are gone...and I cant get fb to sync, i click on syn now and it does nothing under settings. Im unhappy with the way my phone is performing as a whole. In addition when I plug it in, and yes its the charger it came with BUT now that I think about it recently I did use someones charger thinking if it fits and charges then its ok...now what? I cant take the battery out unless i unscrew things? Isnt that bad for my phone??? My ringer is all messed up...I deleted all apps thinking it was a bug/app problem. Still happened so I added them back... HELP!:)

It shouldn't erase any of your data, but you may want to remove the SD card first to be on the safe side.

IPhone 6 with iOS 8.2 turning off when charged

Hello,
I have just bought iPhone 6 a few days ago and from the start I'm experiencing a problem. In the evening when I go to sleep I'm connecting my phone to charging cable and everything goes OK, but when I'm waking up in the morning the phone is turned off and I'm able to turn it on only with hard reset. After that phone works fine and it has full battery.
Could somebody suggest me on how to fix this issue?

It seems like your iPhone is not responding after it's been charging overnight, and you need to hard reset it.
To troubleshoot this situation, I'd recommend trying this method from the support article If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn't respond or doesn't turn on:
Make sure that you have iTunes 12 or later on your computer.
Put your device in recovery mode.
When you get the option to restore or update, select Update. This will reinstall iOS without erasing your data.
Even though data should not be erased, you may want to back up your iPhone before performing this step, if you haven't already:
Back up and restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using iCloud or iTunes - Apple Support

Apple watch will not turn off when charging

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone is able to turn off their apple watch when it is connected to the charger?
When I connect the charger, the "power off" option is greyed out.. If I disconnect it from the charger and turn it off... It will turn itself back on as soon as I re-connect the charger!
Any tips would be appreciated!

Mine doesn't turn off but the display goes off after a little while. I believe that that's the design behaviour. Any specific reason why you want to turn it off on the charger?

Ipod Nano , wont turn off ,displaying "charging" icon instead

Hey y'all
ive been using this ipod nano for a while now,no problems
recently updated it to the newest firmware
anyhow it doesnt turn off now,instead when the stop button is pressed for a few seconds,the screen goes blank then the "charging" icon appears even when the ipod is disconnected
also,when the ipod is working the battery meter doesnt show,
and the "charging" icon is displayed instead
i tried restoring the ipod a few times,no effect
any ideas?

Hi, my ipod nano has exactly the same problem---won't turn off, shows the big charging icon instead, even after resetting it many times, and successfully restoring/updating the firmware to v1.2. It plays music fine, but it won't shut off.
What ever happened at repair shop, did they say what is wrong? Maybe I have to send mine to a repair shop too.

Laptop turning off when charger pulled out...

i charge my laptop completely and the charger time says 10 hrs or 5 hrs and sometimes even 100 hrs and it stays like that and then 5 mins later... it just turns off completely and i try to turn it on but nothing happens unless i plug it in charger again but when i do and turn it back on the battery says fully charged... i dont get whats going on...

I named my DROID X2 "Chucky" - It wont turn OFF !

I tried everything that people have suggested in here.
- Remove some apps - I only had 10 at the time - BIG DEAL!
- Take out the battery.
- Clear all Cache.
- Customer service walked me through a hard (Factory reset). What a PAIN - setting up all accounts all over again, etc...
- Most recently, I put it in Safe Mode, deleted all 5 apps AGAIN, cleared the cache & powered down. I just powered it back up. Now it's sitting here with the Motorola "M" on the screen!!! I'm going to have t remove the battery, I guess???

Since the factory reset things are WORSE than ever! The voice recognition wont do anything I ask it to, the GPS gets locked up all the time, now AND it still TURNS ON ALL BY ITSELF - NOT GOOD IN THE MIDDLE OF A MEETING!!!! I had to take the battery out while I was on a flight yesterday! It's like the Movie bad boy doll - "Chucky" It comes to life all by itsself!

Know what else - They sold me this phone as a "SKYPE" phone... I was telling my grandson in front of the salesgirl - "Look we'll be able to see Mommy on her business trip to Louisianna." There is NO forward facing camera on this phone!!! Yea, there is skype on it - but its a PHONE!!!! Why do I need audio skype when I have a phone in my hand??? Verizon really did me wrong!

The automatic-power-back-up after Shutting it Off is *STILL* a bug ... It was introduced with the release of Gingerbread back in June 2011 and Moto has not delivered on their (& Verizon's) "promise" to provide a software update to GB. The best way to get around that problem is just put your device into SLEEP MODE and be done with it. There is NO fix for the problem - at least that I've been successful at finding. Lots of suggestions, just no permanent fix (and yes, I've tried all of what you have heard.)
re: SKYPE - Correct, the DX2 (like the DX) did NOT come with a front facing camera for Skyping. If that was a necessary feature, you probably should have noted that lack of feature before buying it .. It is very well documented (the specs) that it only comes with 1 camera - which is on the rear of the device.

Everything works good, but when he selects Windows to shutdown, the OS goes through regular procedures, then the screen fades to black. However, the fans keep running and the PSU is still live..... so it seems the system isnt shutting down 100%. I have seen this issue before, but dont remember how to fix it. Something to do with the registry or within the system, alas, i cannot remember. please assist.

Have you tried searching at all? What BIOS version u using? I'd recommend flashing the latest.
