Droid Turbo working outside of the USA?
Hi!
Does anybody know, if I purchase a Motorola Droid Turbo from Verizon (full retail price), will I be able to use the phone in Sweden? Thinking of two issues:
1) is it SIM-free? and 2) can I use it in Sweden´s 4G net?

ABC app says I am outside of the USA
I have read other posts that have shown the abc app does not work outside of the USA. However, I bought a refurbished unit from the apple store. I live in the USA but am still getting this message. Any thoughts? Thanks
By any chance, is your itunes account based off a non-USA credit card? That could be it ... if not, I'd first try rebooting your iPad, and/or deleting and reinstalling the ABC app.

I bought an AT&T ipad air in USA. I spend quite a bit of time in Sri Lanka and have been using it the past month with a Sri Lankan carrier's SIM and it has worked perfectly.

hi, i want to buy an iPhone 4S but i would like to know if Siri works outside of the US with a US account. the thing is, i travel a lot, mostly to latin america because of work. does anybody know if i am ok with a us itunes account?
I do not know for certain it works or whether the localisations limit that, but keep in mind siri sends a lot of data back and forth (all the digital voice processing is done on Apple's servers, not the device itself). Unless you were somewhere with free wifi, I would expect use of siri to rack up a huge data roaming bill.

The wifi just stopped working outside of the house. Now it's basically a calculator that I carry around with me.
That's nice. Hopefully you'll have some mathematical problems for which to use your calculator.

The AirPort Extreme is a router which works worldwide, so you won't have any problem using it in another country. However, note that some Wi-Fi bands are illegal in some countries, so be careful. Apart from that, there's no a monthly charge because it's just a router -
Need to unlock an AT&T iPhone outside of the USA
Hi.
First of all, I CALLED AT&T. They said they have a new policy now, in which I HAVE to have a valid AT&T phone number in order for them to be able to unlock my iphone4. They said this new policy was enforced by Apple. I'm not a residant of the USA, and I have no AT&T serice in the country I live in.
Anyone can tell what my next actions should be?

you have two options. send your iphone to a friend/relative in the US(if you have) so that they unlock the phone with their at&t sim. i have the same problem here in greece and this is the only "official" way to do that.
the second option is to find someone that can manually unlock it for you but you will instantly loose your warranty and in case of hardware problems apple will not be responsible. if you do that be extremely careful with the ios version and the baseband. if you don't know how to do it don't try it yourself and don't let any "expert" do experiments on your phone.

Mail not working outside of the US
Why was I unable to send or receive email using the Apple Mail app on my iPhone and iPad (both had iOS 8.1.2) when traveling outside the US last week? The email accounts were functioning fine with Mail within the US. I was connected to secure WiFi networks in Mexico and Ireland. I was able to send/receive email if I bypassed Mail and signed on to each email account directly.
At this point, it sounds like it would be best to delete the email account and then re-add it again.
(the steps are also listed below)
Remove a Personal (POP / IMAP) Account - DROID INCREDIBLE 2 by HTC
From a home screen, select the applications tab (located in the lower left).
Select Mail.
From the preferred account, select Menu.
To change accounts, select Menu > Account list then select the account.
Select More.
Select Settings.
Not available from All accounts.
Select Delete account.
Select OK.
Add a Personal (POP / IMAP) Account - DROID INCREDIBLE 2 by HTC
Server addresses, security information and additional support can be obtained from the email provider.
From a home screen, select the applications tab (located in the lower left).
If performing Initial Activation and Setup begin with step 2.
Select Mail.
Yahoo, Windows Live Hotmail, AOL and Gmail
Enter the Email address and Password then select Next.
Ensure the following are correct.
Account name
The name of the account on this device.
Your name
The from name for mail sent from this account.
Select Make this my default mail account to enable / disable.
Enabled when a check mark is present.
Select Finish setup.

Flex Application does not work outside of the default dir
Hi,
I have developed a flex application which calls a http
service and displays the contents in a text area.
This works fine when I execute it from the flex builder or
from the directory where the flex builder stores it.
If I copy the files to any other dir or the server, after
making http call no result is displayed in the text area.
Is there any thing else i need to do other building
application in flex builder for deployment.

Dear fellow Nokia-users and Nokia-staff,
just as many other (potential) customers in europe I am deeply disappointed that we are not offered the Lumia 928 with its fantastic features in europe.
So my question is the following (and please don't answer with little to none knowledge..) :
Would an imported, contract free/unlocked Lumia 928 work in the european network?
And I mean fully work, not just single functions.
With my dilletant knowledge I can't see a reason why it should not - but I'm certainly far from being a specialist.
Please help me out here.
Thank you very much.Importing a 928 into Europe from the US would mean that you would not have a warranty should things go wrong. Also, the 928 is pretty much the same as a 920 apart from having a Xenon flash and an AMOLED screen. Why not wait until the July 11th announcement from Nokia to see what else they are about to show the world.

Imessage not working outside of the US. please help
Hello, i have an iphone 4 with a data plan from the united states. i traveled to mexico and used my imessage with wifi for a day. didnt have a problem but it stopped working with one contact so i turned imessage off and it wont work again. it says waiting for activation. ive tried restarting, turning off, signing in with a mexican apple ID and it still wont work. is there a reason why it wont work over wifi? my data is off please help and thank you.
Is there anyway to get around the uninstalling/instal processprobably, but in all honesty, you could have uninstalled and re-installed in the time it took to wait for a reply

ITunes access for Mac users outside of the USA
We are Mac users both for business and personal. We buy all Apple products and hardware and purchase photo books etc. We purchase all our equipment online and ship. Yet, I have no access to the iTunes free downloads nor am I able to purchase any songs because we do not have a US Billing Address for our Credit Cards! We have international cards and use it for everything else world-wide. Yet no itune!! I buy all Apple products using my card - yet no itunes! Not having access to even download the free songs is not fair, as I am being hindered from creating iMovies because I cannot upload a song. This is an application that comes with my Mac yet I am not able to use it. Come on, you have to help me out here! I need to make some iMovies and post! What can I do? Please help? Debra
Sorry, but there's nothing anyone here can do to help as far as the iTunes Store is concerned. Apple has not, for legal and/or business reasons, been able to open iTunes Stores in every country. If there's no iTunes Store in your country, you'll need to look to other sources of music.
I am being hindered from creating iMovies because I cannot upload a song.
You're not being hindered; iMovie doesn't need the iTunes Store to be completely functional. There are lots of sources for music, such as an imported CDs (you need legal permission to use any copyrighted music, of course, if you intend these movies for other than personal use). You don't need to be a able to purchase from the iTunes Store to have music for your movies.
