Droid x initial calendar synch

how do i synch my droid x to outlook calendar on my personal computer?

Thank you for your inquiry. A way you can do Sync Outlook 2010 is after you have you have setup your Google email, export your current contact list via Outlook as a .CSV file.  Afterward, import them into Google. There is an option in Google to do perform this task. The Droid X will default your contacts as it does not have a group option.  When you have completed this step, go into your Google Calendar settings and set up for mobile. You will be asked for your mobile cell number information.  As part of this process, download and install the "SYNC" software from Google.
Once it has been installed, you can configure it for auto-sync or do it manually on your computer/ device.
We also have support via our website at the link provided below that can help you with additional inquiries. The link is: http://support.vzw.com/clc/devices/index.html

  • Help! My calendar synch no longer works!

I use my work PC to synch my calendar + contacts, and my home Mac to synch music/videos with my iPhone. I typically synch my calendar with my phone every other day, and maybe once a week with my Mac.
Ever since I upgraded my iphone to the new Apple firmware update via my work PC, my calendar synch has stopped working!
    I tried the usual steps:
    1> Resetting synch history
2> Selected the option to "Replace iPhone calendar"
3> Deleted the backup entry AND reset synch history
None of these options seem to work anymore... The only change I now see is that my iPhone calendar is TOTALLY blank! At least, previously, it showed the old calendar entries without the new ones getting synched... Now, it's just a blank slate!!
Any suggestions / tips appreciated. The last time I had this issue several months ago, I had to do a hard reset/rebuild of my iPhone, and ended up losing all my settings. Hope there's a simpler fix than that!

Unbelievable, but true! My problem is resolved, after numerous experiments (reductio ad absurdum approach!)
Here's what worked for me... I create a dummy calendar entry in my (then blank) calendar on the iPhone. And then hit Synch in iTunes... Voila!! That did the trick, and my iPhone calendar now has all my Outlook entries.
Made an assumption that some MSFT developers might have joined the Apple dev team, and sure enough something as quirky as this workaround did do the trick

  • E72 MFE - Calendar synch from phone to exchange ac...

    Hi everyone,
I have had a good search through the threads here and can not find anyone with the same problem that I am having.
We support a lot of corporate users most of whom have E71's and are more than happy with them. A new starter has been issued with a E72 and I am having problems with the calendar synch.
Any calendar appointments that I create using outlook are synched to the phone with no problems.
If I create a calendar appointment on the device it will not synch back to the exchange account.
I have checked all the settings on the phone and the calendar is set to synchronise through the 'personal information manager' options. I can not see any option for 'one way' calendar sync anywhere on the device.
Am I missing something here? Also is there a way to turn on logging on the device so that I can troubleshoot where the problem is happening.
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Dan.

Are you talking about sync via OVI suite or sync of contacts with your company Exchange Server? Outlook is a client for exchange.

  • Droid razr maxx calendar does not show up on gmail calendar even though it says that it has synced?

droid razr maxx calendar does not show up on gmail calendar even though it says that it has synced?

I had this same issue. I solved it finally by downloading the free "official" google calendar disabling the phone calendar app (Google Calendar - Android Apps on Google Play) and disabling the phone calendar. Then you need to choose your gmail account to sync with your calendar app. Now my entries on the phone are showing up on my PC.

  • IPhone Outlook calendar synch issue

My new iPhone does synch with my Outlook 2007 calendar, but only some, not all, of the calendar items actually are copied over to the phone. When I create an event on the phone, it does synch back to the computer.
    Any idea what's happening here?

Similar, if not same, issue here, as no calendar items come across from the computer. While I run both OSX and PC, the phone uses wife's Dell running XP pro, and it's still no joy. Running latest OS and outlook patches, etc.
I would expect coders are still working on a fix...bought the phone expressly for this purpose--while the other features are great, until this is fixed, it's a rather large thorn.
If the definitive steps to a fix are arrived at, I am all ears...

  • Help Needed w/Desktop Manager 4.6 & Outlook Calendar Synch

Everything was working just fine prior to my holiday break. Came back this morning and attempted to synch my BBCurve (running 4.5.0.81) with my Desktop Manager (v4.6) and it is just skipping over the calendar sync portion. No error message. Everything else is synching just fine. Deleted and reinstalled Desktop software -- that didn't work. Disabled calendar sync and re-enabled -- that didn't work. cleared the BB Calendar of all entries and now have no calendar entries on the device. HELP!

I deleted the Intellisync folder, and reset the Desktop Manager configuration settings and I received the following Intellisync error message:
The operation terminated unexpectedly while reading from Microsoft Outlook Calendar
Then I tried to sync just from Outlook Calendar to Device -- that failed
Then I tried to sync just from Device to Outlook Calendar -- that failed as well
Then I deleted Intellisync folder again and rebooted my computer
Successfully synced from Device to Outlook
Tried to sync from Outlook to Device and it appears to be running, says one moment please and nothing happens and it returns to the Desktop Manager with no error message. Grrrrr.....

  • Calendar synch BB Storm, BB DM 4.7 and Lotus Notes 8.0.2

I am seriously frustrated with the synchronization issues with my BB Storm 9530, DM 4.7.0.25 and Lotus Notes 8.0.2.  I have searched this forum and Crackberry to find a solution and at this point I think there is just no solution.
When I sync my calendar, (two-way via IntelliSync) to Lotus Notes, the BB calendar ALWAYS has 75-80 items and tries to delete 100's of items form Lotus Notes (Lotus Notes is correct and I only have 370 calendar items).  I have to reject the sync, delete the BB Calendar database and do a one-way push from Lotus Notes to BB.  I have the "keep forever" checked on the BB, I have the "transfer all scheduled items" checked in in the BB DM and IntelliSync set up, I have done all the stupid stuff, like take out the battery, reinstall BB DM, checked/re-checked the memory, deleted and reinstalled the IntelliSync software, yada. yada and NONE of it works.
I have resigned myself to the fact I can only do a one way push from Lotus Notes to the BB...PERIOD.  I will get rid of BB when my contract is up, or sooner if it continues to make me crazy.  I love that RIM just unleashes software on the world and expects us to test it for them.  This is not rocket science.  I work in the software industry and this type of "release and let the world test it" mentality has got to stop.  Calendar sync is not that big of a deal.  I was a previous Active Sync user and I NEVER had an issue with this basic functionality.  RIM needs to either fix the BB DM or force IntelliSync to fix the sync program or write their own sync software and quit depending on a 3rd party.  Either way, I have had it.

    Hi,
I have checked this in Outlook, imported holidays of X country and even those holidays got installed in Outlook, but when i synched those holidays with Nokia N 79, those holidays were not synched with Nokia N 79 inspite of those entries are there in Outlook, same goes with Lotus Notes 6.5 [i don't have Lotus Notes 8.x], So its seems to be a limitation on sync side

  • Question about initializing Calendar attributes manually

Hi. I am setting up a Calendar object by initializing it's attributes like this:
    Calendar calendar = Calendar.getInstance();
    calendar.set(Calendar.YEAR, year.intValue());
    calendar.set(Calendar.MONTH, month.intValue());
    calendar.set(Calendar.DAY_OF_MONTH, day.intValue());
    calendar.set(Calendar.HOUR, hour.intValue());
calendar.set(Calendar.MINUTE, minute.intValue());The problem is that when I run a test case where I create 2 calendar instances with the same attributes ie - both of them set to 2008, 02, 25, 10, 00, the equals() method does not return true:
calendar1.equals(calendar2);    // Returning false, but have same attributes set as shown above
Now, the other attributes of the Calendar instances make the two instances not equal. I created a utility method to test just the attributes above for equality, and that works just fine.
My concern now is the after() and before() methods of Calendar. Can I rely on these to be correct based on what I see from the equals() method? I have ran several test cases with the before() and after() methods (testing with instances initialized differently), and they * seem * to be working as expected, but now I can't be sure... If not, how should I properly initialize the calender instances to make sure that I get the proper behavior out of the before(), after(), and equals() methods?
    Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. I am still not getting a true return value from the equals() method. Also, I made the modification you suggested with setting the month. When I do calendar.get(Calendar.MONTH) I always get back one less than the actual month. I have read that this is because the months are zero based.
Why wouldn't the Calendar class return 2 if I pass it a date with February in it? Is this just a bad design decision by the creators of the class?
    Thanks.

  • No tab for "Folders" in advanced options for Calendar synch

After updating to Desktop v 7.0, my secondary Outlook calendars do not synch to my phone.  Online help files state there should be a "Folders" tab in advanced settings within configuration where I can select the other calendar folders.  Nope.
I have a work calendar and a personal calendar in Outlook.  I want to sync both.  I could prior to v7.0 of Desktop install.

    Hi bvaron,
    Welcome to the Support Community!
Can you provide more information please? When you click Configure to setup calendar synchronization, is there no Folders tab in Advanced Settings? What tabs or what options on the screen do you see in this setting?
Are you able to follow the steps in this KB article to add the two calendars for synchronization? http://bbry.lv/Mob99p
If not, please try uninstalling the BlackBerry® Desktop Software, rebooting the computer and reinstalling it from http://bbry.lv/Ls1B9o Then please test by trying to configure your calendar synchronization again.
    Hope this helps.

  • Lotus Notes Missing in Drop Down List for Calendar Synch

    Hello there,
       A) I am attempting to synch my blackberry tour with my calendar in Lotus Notes 8.5.2.  I was able to previously synch my calendar when I had Lotus Notes 8.5.1, but since our upgrade to 8.5.2, I get an error saying it could not find a supported version of Lotus Notes.
      B)  When I try to go in and configure the organizer section of the desktop software, there is no option for the drop down list for Lotus Notes.  I have tried uninstalling, rebooting and then reinstalling (based on info from other posts), but none of that seems to work.  I have checked and all the connectors are there, but for some reason, they are not being recognized.  Is there some specific key or file that intellisynch is looking for to know that Lotus Notes is installed on the machine?
Now, I am assuming A&B are symptoms of a common problem, but I am at a loss as to how to move forward.  Any ideas on how I can get this software to recognize Lotus Notes?  I appreciate any help you can give.
    Thanks,
    Rick

  • Calendar synch time difference issue

When I synch between my Windows VIsta Calendar and my Blackberry Curve 9300, appointments synching from my Windows Calendar appear on my Blackberry two hours earlier yet both calendars are set to GMT,
Can anyone help me to solve this issue?

Hello corndoll and welcome to the BlackBerry® Support Community Forums.
Have you checked the Time Zone setting in your Microsoft® Outlook® to ensure it's set to the same as your device and computer?
When you create a new appointment in Outlook, is the Time Zone being used the correct one?
In your Device, when you go to create a new appointment, is the proper TIme Zone being displayed when creating the appointment?
    Thanks!

  • Initial Order Synch

I just ran an initial synch and based on the synch log the order synch completed successfully, no errors were displayed but when the delivery documents were synching I received many errors indicating the order document was missing. The problem is that the WebOrderId is missing from these orders and it looks like it's because they are fairly old and cannot be updated. When I try to update manually I get a "Series period does not match current period" (or similar) error. Hopefully there's a setting in SBO that will let these orders be updated but other than that I have 2 questions:
    1) Why weren't there error messages in the synch log for these errors? The order was created in Netpoint properly and the netpoint synchid matches the SBO doc num but it failed on the last step of updating SBO and it doesn't look like the error was caught.
    2) If we don't care about synching the pre-existing orders and delivery docs to netpoint, can I just manually delete them from the transaction queue before running the initial synch after I queue all SBO records? If I do this are these any other dependant documents I should also remove? Alternatively, I guess I can I update the WebOrderId UDF directly from a sql script that queries the Netpoint ordermaster table .. even though that's against SAP best practices
    Steve

    Hi Steve,
I'm not sure why that's not showing in the error log.  I'll take a look at it.
As for point 2, Invoices and GL transactions, if you are synching them, should be removed.
Invoices (object_type 13) will likely have a similar problem trying to update the weborderid.
GL transactions (object_type 13, 14, 24) won't cause a problem, since they don't record a synchid nor do they have any foreign key references within netpoint, but should probably be cleaned up for the sake of tidiness.
Updating the UDF, while frightening, should also solve your problem--though you'd need to get the invoice as well.

  • Calendar synch w/ Outlook failing - internal error #-725 (0x8004fd2b)

just upgraded device and desktop s/w to latest and problem did not go away.
Contacts and Notepad synch just fine.
    But Calendar fails:
    1) reads all device entries
    2) reads all Outlook entries
    3) then pops up a message: "Error encountered. Error code - 0x8004fd2b. Check documentation."
    4) the log says this: "Internal Error #-725. Translation Canceled!"

I would try deleting the intellisync folder and then trying to sync again. This may or may not help. Below are the instructions:
Close the BlackBerry Desktop Manager application.
Disconnect the BlackBerry device from the computer.
Double Click on My Computer> Local Disk (c>Documents and Settings>(username)>Application Data>Research In Motion>Blackberry>Intellisync
Note: If the Application Data folder is not present, click Tools>Folder Options at the top of the screen.
Click the View Tab, then click on Show Hidden Files and Folders.
Click Apply>Ok and continue through the remaining steps.
Delete everything within the Intellisync folder.
Launch BlackBerry Desktop Manager and attempt sync the device with the computer.

  • "operation terminated unexpectedly" during Outlook calendar synch

Help!  Everything was synchronizing fine but then one day, just stopped working.  I rec'd an error message from "Intellisync" stating "The operation terminated unexpectedly".  I've tried to uninstall the DM software & reinstall several times but that doesn't help.  I tried to synch only from the device to Outlook & it worked once but the second time I rec'd the same error on record 194 of 398.
PC Operating System = Windows XP Pro
    Desktop version  4.6.0.12 (May 22 '08)
    MS Outlook version 2007

In my desparation to keeping trying different avenues, I tried uninstalling the DM again but reinstalled version 4.3.0.15 (Aug 15 '07) instead of the more recent versions (had previously tried both 4.5 and 4.6 with the same errors messages received).
My first attempt to synch my Outlook Calendar with v.4.3 didn't work either but for some reason, it does work now.  Go figure?  I'm just going to cross my fingers & hope this older version will continue to work.
