Droid X - Windows 7 - Missing bluetooth Peripheral driver

Anybody know how and/or where to fix the missing bluetooh peripheral driver to my windows 7 laptop?

If your computer does not have built-in bluetooth, and very few do, you have to buy a Bluetooth dingle. It has a usb connection. Once you place the dingle into one of the usb slots, Window 7 will do its thing and recognize the bluetooth.  Once this is accomplished, you can then have the Droid X bluetooth search for it and connect to it. However, I have a question. Why go through all this trouble, buying a bluetooth dingle, having the Droid find it, etc. It's so much easier to just connect your droid to your computer with the provided cord. Your computer will then show a new drive (your phone) and you can transfer files on your computer from your computer drive (usually C:/) to your phone (whatever letter is assigned to your Droid) and visa versa. It's so much easier and almost foolproof. Whereas, with bluetooth, its sometimes a hit and miss operation.

  • Missing bluetooth peripheral device drive

I recently formatted my system and lost the functionality of several things. The most pressing being I can't connect my laptop through bluetooth to my phone (Nokia Lumia 920) and speakers (logitect boombox) and other devices. I am always told my bluetooth peripheral device drive is missing. I've updated my bluetooth through device manager but still nothing.
    Please help me!!!!

Is it only the Bluetooth you are having trouble with? Are you able to connect to the internet wirelessly or with an ethernet cable?
Are there any errors showing with the Bluetooth in device manager or with your wireless adapter?

If you are experiencing general problems both with Bluetooth and wireless internet as well, it may be that the wlan card in your notebook is the problem.

  • TS3253 Need Bluetooth peripheral driver for IPAD 2 on PC with Windows 7

I have Windows 7 on my PC.  One of the devices I have conntected to the PC is my IPAD 2.  I keep ketting a trouble shooting message that my bluetooth peripheral device has no driver.  Can anyone tell me where I can download this driver?

Huh??  What exactly are ou trying to connect to your iPad via Bluetooth?  If you are trying to connect your iPad to your PC, you can't.  Bluetooth on iPad is specifically designed to pair Bluetooth Headphones, Keyboards and Speakers.  Nothing more.  And try as you might, there is no way you can download a driver of any kind to any iOS (iPad, iPhone, iPod) device.

    Dear Nokia Support,
Nokia 5230 my Windows 7 32 bit is not able to load the Bluetooth Peripheral Device driver. Unfortunately its not available on the automatic Microsoft Update too.I read the topics related the same problem on difference cell phones but none of the proposed solutions can be applied.
Can Nokia answer please to this common problem ?
    Regards

The required Bluetooth drivers for the PC Bluetooth hardware should come with Windows (for the most part, that's been the case since Windows XP Service Pack 2).
Nokia phone related drives have always come with the Nokia PC Suite, later also with the Ovi Suite (which I guess is now being renamed to Nokia Suite).
In the past, at least, Nokia has had a "PC Suite Cleaner" app available, that could help if you have PC Suite issues. Uninstall PC Suite or Ovi Suite, and reinstall the latest/newest version (with or without the "PC Suite Cleaner", if some version of it is still available on Nokia's support/download pages here).
If that doesn't help, you need to come back with more details on what, exactly, is going wrong (what doesn't work, how, and what error messages do you see, etc.).

  • Bluetooth Peripheral Device driver failure in Windows Vista and Windows 7 (solved)

I had problems setting up Bluetooth HotSync.  Following the directions for pairing the device resulted in a "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" missing driver in Device Manager.  I finally figured out how to setup HotSync and am able to sync over Bluetooth to Windows 7 64-bit.
    On the PC
Right-click on the Bluetooth icon and select Show Bluetooth Devices
    Delete the Palm Phone
Right-click on the Bluetooth icon again and select Bluetooth settings
Turn Discovery on for the PC
    On the Palm Device
    Select Bluetooth
    Turn Bluetooth On
Set Visibility to Hidden (if desired)
Select Setup Devices on the Bluetooth screen
    Select HotSync Setup
    Click Next
    Select your PC
This is the important part:  Click Next 3 times (don't do what the screens tell you -- just click Next, Next, Next)
    Click Launch HotSync
    Viola!
    On the PC
Right-click on the Bluetooth icon again and select Bluetooth settings
Turn Discovery off for the PC (if desired)

I am having the same problem with a new RocketFish Bluetooth adapter.  I did NOT have this problem when I was using a Kensington USB Bluetooth adapter.  One big difference that I notice between the two adapters is that the Kensington adapter came with an updated version of the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack software which contained its own DUN drivers.  However, the new RocketFish Bluetooth 2.0 EDR USB adapter does not seem to work with the Toshibal BT Stack.
Maybe this helps.  Maybe it doesn't.  Either way, I don't care.  It's how I roll.  I'm a smart ass.
I will check back for any additions to this thread.  I hope we can figure it out!  I will also post more Prose of Indifference.

  • Bluetooth peripheral device driver missing

Droid bionic connects to pc  win 7 64 bit  in bluetooth just fine, can play music through pc speakers, transfer files , use as a modem.  but in bluetooth devices it shows bionic with a yellow triangle. i right click on it and says trouble shoot . says unknown device, no driver installed. it did load several drivers when i first connected, but this one didnt for some reason. have been to windows update with no luck. bluetooth adapter on pc has latest driver. i have latest motorola usb drivers installed also on the pc.. I may have to contact tech support at motorola for this. also i will try reinstalling my adapter drivers. if anybody has any ideas, please let me know ty.

I tried several other solutions but none of them worked perfectly as the last one that I tried after vigorously searching online.
Here's what I did when bluetooth on Windows 7 PCs that I had:
    - Download the 'Windows Mobile Device Center' ( current version is 6.1 ) which you can download it from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...-download.mspx
this works for both Vista and Windows 7. I've tried it on both.
    - Install the downloaded software but it may not look like it worked on Windows 7 PCs. Vista automatically configures the settings on the bluetooth devices but for those who have Windows 7, here are the things you should do:
    - Go to 'Device Manager' from 'Control Panel' -Or- just right-click on Computer Icon and choose 'Properties' and then click on 'Device Manager'.
    - You'll see an 'Unknown Device' named 'Bluetooth Peripheral Device'
    - Right-Click it and click on "Update Driver Software" -Or- anyway you find it easy to bring up the Update driver window.
    - Click "Browse My Computer for Driver Software" button.
    - Click "Let Me Pick from a List of Device Drivers on my computer".
    - Select 'Bluetooth Radio' from the list if it asked you to select and then in the next window, it will show a list of drivers with Company Names in one list and Drivers in another. In the Company List choose 'Microsoft Corporation', not only Microsoft.
    - From the drivers list there may be one or more drivers with the name "Windows Mobile-Based Device Support" with different driver versions. Select one or the latest.
    - Ignore any warnings and keep pressing next and then Finish at last. If all goes well, the last screen will show the message that device driver is successfully installed.
Now, after manually updating the driver for your bluetooth device, in 'Device Manager' when you click on 'Bluetooth Radios', it should display one more item which will say 'Windows Mobile-based device support'.

  • No sound on my Sony Bluetooth Headset because Windows 7 can't find Bluetooth peripheral device driver

SO, I am dealing this problem for the second day in a row and no working solution still. I own the latest iMac 2014 (though the model is exactly as 2013) 2,7 Ghz with Bluetooth 4.0, I've installed through Bootcamp Windows 7 x64. My bluetooth headset Sony DR-BTN200 http://store.sony.com/bluetooth-headphones-zid27-DRBTN200//cat-27-catid-All-Home -Theater-Headphones (which is on Bluetooth 3.0 and of 2013 year model) is working fine with Mavericks and Yosemite on my MBP, but not working as it should on iMac with Windows 7..
THE PROBLEM: I find the headset, connect it, but afterwards Windows writes that no drivers for Bluetooth peripheral device were found (3 or 4 encriptions like this, so, 3-4 drivers needed). The headset itself guarrantees fine working with Windows 8, the producer doesn't give any drivers to install, you won't find them on Sony's website - it should work as plug-n-play, they say those drivers are preinstalled on Windows 8.
WHAT I'VE TRIED: So, the problem, as I've read from many-many-many sources is common for everybody running Windows on Mac devices. In cases with notebooks it is easy to solve (if you know it) - download the Bluetooth software from Broadcom (the producer of Bluetooth adapters/receivers of  Macs) http://www.broadcom.com/support/bluetooth/update.php - install, it finds the devices and istalls correct driver. This worked with my MacBook Pro 2010, on iMac it stucks on recognizing devices - nothing happens next, like it doesn't recognize any bluetooth device. Downloading many other drivers packages didn't help either, nor Toshiba Bluetooth helpers could detect Bluetooth headset to properly download the correct drivers (though it was already recognized by Windows, just couldn't connect properly), nor different other programs like Bluesoleil, Blue manager and so on.
On other notebooks and computers many try to install manually the drivers, usualy Microsoft Windows mobile-based device support. I've tried to install many drivers, all of the Broadcom drivers I've found (including the Broadcom Bluetooth 3.0 USB driver that makes the headset work on MBP), and I must say that Windows recognizes (doesnt show the yellow triangle next to the icon of the driver) only for the Microsoft Windows mobile-based device support driver. Though it's like that, the sound still is not playing out of my headset. On MBP after the drivers were installed, I chose the device in Printers and devices and there was an option of Control (maybe I remember the name wrong), it went first in the right-click menu, and aftewards there was a page were I could connect my headset through ticks/checks on different options. Nothing like this appears if I install any of the drivers on iMac (nor Broadcom, nor Win mobile-based). I must also mention, that some kind of package that I've downloaded from Toshiba or Acer's Broadcom Bluetooth kit, I don't remember, installed some bluetooth drivers (Bluetooth Audio, "receiver" if I recall it correctly and 2 more), that were recognized as right drivers for peripheral device when I connected my headset, but even then - no sound came out of the headset.
HELP ME: What shoud I do? I've tried all of the methods that are on the net. Sony store won't help me out, because the problem is not in the device - it's in the software/hardware of "your iMac". The headset works with Mac OS, should work fine with fully-Windows PCs, it just doesn't with iMacs on Bootcamp Windows. The interesting thing is that updating windows to Windows 8 might also not help, since Sony guarrantees only work on pre-shipped with Win 8 devices, not with the upgraded devices. I do think the problem is with drivers, that Mac's Bootcamp utility doesn't come with pre-installed Bluetooth drivers for connecting Bluetooth headsets, only for the Apple mouse and keyboard. I must also mention that I've tried to install manually many of the Broadcom drivers, all of which were for Bluetooth 3.0 or 4.0, they didn't help.
It's awfull that I've got the latest iMac, so the latest hardware and face such problems. I only think that a cheap 5-7$ bluetooth-usb adapter could help, maybe it could recognize the headset and therefor install its own drivers for its manufacturer. But I don't imagine how would it work and connect since iMac has a peinstalled Bluetooth receiver. Is there a software sollution? An app or driver?

So, finally I found what worked for me: Re: Full Bluetooth functionality in Bootcamp (audio, A2DP, FTP, OBEX) third variant, none of first 2 worked.. The only trouble was to find the correct link since on Acer site there is no download link. I've googled for "Bluetooth_Atheros_7.4.0.96_W7x64_A.zip" since this is the archive the guy is actually talking about. The 4th link on google was http://www.laptop-software.com/Acerdriversdownload.php?GDFiles/Driver/Bluetooth/ Bluetooth_Atheros_7.4.0.96_W7x64_A.zip?acerid=634556349384706773&Step1=Notebook& Step2=Aspire&Step3=Aspire%204830Z&OS=721&LC=en&BC=Acer&SC=PA_6 and I chose to downlad from the first download link. Then the steps are:
    1) unzip the folder
    2) don't look for x64 or x32, there is only a one installer called "Bluetooth_Suite_win7"
    3) install Bluetooth_Suite_win7
    4) after it installs Windows starts downloading and recognizing drivers, I don't know how it actually works, but it also downloaded and recognized the unrecognized before drivers for my Bluetooth headset.
    5) Restart Windows
    6) Turn on headphones - they connect automatically, everything works and works great, the quality of sound is exactly the same as it was on Mac OS, nothing that would bother me.
****, it took me 2 full days... finally...

  • Bluetooth Peripheral Device Driver Error - Bootcamp w/ Windows 7 Professional

Dear Super Amazing Fantastic Bluetooth Superhero,
I've got a MacBook Air that I've used bootcamp to install Windows 7 Professional.
Everything is pretty great except my bluetooth connectivity is not functional while booted in Windows.
When I go to device manager, it shows 2 to 3 Bluetooth Peripheral Devices not properly installed.
I've tried several times, from different approaches to install these drivers. But to no avail.
Searching the internet shows me that this is a somewhat common issue. However, the solutions tend to be specific to the computer type.
I had this issue with a similar set up with my MacMini and solved it with this:
    http://download.cnet.com/SlimDrivers-Free/3000-18513_4-75279940.html?tag=mncol;2 #editorsreview
(I normally wouldn't go for this sortof middleware, but I was desparate. Much as I am now, haha)
I tried this software with my Air and it failed me.
I can post pics/screen caps and will be checking by regularly.
If you need any information: specifics or attempted solutions, etc, please ask!
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks you kindly.

After viewing some other posts I wanted to add:
My specific goal is to connect a headset/headphones (AF32 by MEElectronics.)
And my ultimate goal is to connect any bluetooth speaker.

  • Bluetooth device driver - Windows 7

  • Need Bluetooth Peripheral Device Driver

Dell PC O/S Vista.  BlackBerry 8830 World Edition.  Local service provider is Cellcom
Just updated my software: PC to BB Desktop v4.5.0.16 & BB Handheld v4.5.0.138.  Upon reboot of PC I get a message 'Found New Hardware' with three options; 1) 'Windows needs to install driver software for your Bluetooth Peripheral Device'.  or 2) 'Ask me again later' or 3) 'Don't show this message again for this device'.   I choose 1) 'Locate and install drive software'. PC tries but cannot locate driver.  Next window, 1) Insert disc or 2) I don't have the disc. I choose 2) 'I don't have the disc'. Next window, 1) 'Check for a solution' or 2) 'Browse my computer for driver software'.  I've tried both with no success and receive a message the 'Windows was unable to install your Bluetooth Peripheral Device'.
Any help from this forum would be appreciated.

Actually this is how I fixed this issue (thanks to Ghostie3599).
PREAMBLE: Bear in mind this is a Research In Motion issue, and not a Microsoft issue. The Blackberry software should have the appropriate .INF files that allow Windows to install the correct device drivers for all detected Bluetooth Peripherals.
Go to the Control Panel and choose the Device Manager applet
You should see two items called Bluetooth Peripheral Device being listed with an yellow icon, meaning that they can't be"used" due to missing drivers.
Right click the first Bluetooth Peripheral Device and choose Update Driver Software...
When asked how do you want to search for the driver software, select the second option Browse My Computer for driver software
When asked for what kind of hardware this is, select the option Ports (COM & LPT) and click Next
At the Update Driver Software Dialog, click on the bottom option that is preceeded by a green arrow Let me pick from a list of device drivers from my computer
In the next dialog, make sure the option Show compatible hardware is NOT SELECTED
From the list of Manufacturers at the left, select RIM Virtual Serial Ports
The list of Models at the right will drill down to RIM Virtual Serial Port.Select this model and click Next.
You should get a confirmation that the driver was successfuly installed.
In my case, following these steps gave Windows vista the hint that the other Bluetooth Peripheral Device would work with the same driver. So after doing these steps for the first Bluetooth Peripheral Device, I got both devices working OK. However, if you still have the second Bluetooth Peripheral Device being listed with the yellow icon (i.e.: missing drivers), try repeating these steps to see if it works. If it doesn't, then the Bluetooth Peripheral Device might be something else (i.e.: not a virtual COM port).
    Hope this helps!

    P.
