Droid X2 won't charge and shows a question mark...
I just bought my droid X2 yesterday and took it out of the box to charge today. I plugged it in to charge by computer and the screen shows a battery with a question mark on it. I'm guessing it is not charging at all because I've left it for over 4 hours and it still does not turn on. I have tried the whole remove & replacing of battery and card. No go...
Is there a way to reset it to work or charge?
Or would I have to replace the phone completely...

I hope I can provide some insight into this concern.
Typically when this occurs on an Android device it means the battery contacts on the phone are impaired in some way. Check the four copper contacts on the phone for debris, and press them down 3 or 4 times, replace the battery in to the phone and power on. Once fully powered on, tried to charge again to ensure it's working.

The iPod with video i just received doesnt seem to be carging.
I forgot to charge it after a day (of mostly listening) and when i went to another song, it froze. It stayed there for awhile (how long, idk because i put it away) when i came back to check it, it had turned off. I assumed it just needed a charge. I went to charge it through the USB cable and it doesn't seem to be working. Most of the time i get a display of a dead battery with the words please wait... very low battery. then it will flash to the apple display as if it were turning on. Then finaaly the sad ipod display shows up with the URL to the support site.
I've tried the 5 R's and nothing has worked so far... HELPI have a similar problem with my 40gig 4th Gen model I ran my old battery flat and then it wouldn't even turn on let alone recharge. So I went and bought a new battery and sure enough it worked again but now i can't recharge the new one it has only a small amount of power left in it but i'm too scared to use it in case it stuffs out again. I even restored my ipod updated it and everything but it still won't charge it keeps saying charged when ever i plug it into either the mains or a USB port. Any suggestions upart from a hammer (hehe)

Last night my phone got down to 20%. I was at a friends house, so i just set it on the table and didnt touch it besides to look at the time. It went down to 15% and then 10 minutes later it said 5%. 5 minutes later it died. I was on my way home and plugged it into my car charger. It came up with a battery display and a question mark. I got home and tried charging it from my wall charger. same thing. I've tried a method a saw online about holding the power button and volume down button at the same time. it came on for 30 seconds and the battery symbol in the corner of the phone was red with a question mark in it. It wont turn on again. I started a verizon plan last september. This september my phone broke, they sent it in to get repaired. It's been less than 3 months and this happened. What can i do?

We need to get your phone up and running ASAP. I depend on my cell phone for everything now days. What kind of device do you have that is having this issue? Was this the first time that you have seen the battery go that quick? Was there any kind of physical or liquid damage done to the device?

My MacBook Pro 2009 won't turn on. It suddenly won't charge and when it did, I shut it down and now it won't turn back on. Charging shows green and the green little dots are showing on the side. I tried smc reset, command+p+r. Any other suggestions before i take it to apple service center?
A four year battery could be dead. I'd contact an Apple Service Center.

my iPod shuffle 4th gen won't charge or show up in iTunes when i plug it in to the back of the computer and when the off/on switch is halfway it gives me a solid red light on the iPod battery status light for about five seconds does anyone know what to do
If you connect it to the Mac with iTunes NOT running, and run Disk Utility, does it appear in the sidebar as a "disk"? Also, you can run System Profiler or System Information (depending Mac OS X version). It is in Applications/Utilities/, but you can also run it from the About This Mac window. Does the shuffle appear as a device under USB?
The red light when you move the power switch to ON means very low charge in battery. That probably means the battery is not getting charged when connected. In terms of hardware, that could mean a bad USB port on Mac, a bad USB cable, or a bad connection on the shuffle. In any case, power is not getting to the battery. It might be a bad battery, but if that was the only problem, I think the shuffle would still appear in iTunes when connected. That's why asked if it appeared in Disk Utility or System Profiler/Information; if it does, the connection is working (even though iTunes does not see it for some reason).
You can make sure the USB port is working by using something else that is similar (like a USB flash drive) on the same port. If you happen to have another USB cable, you also try to rule out a bad cable. -
My game center won't load and shows up blank when I try to open it. I've already closed all of my apps and restarted it and it still won't work. Is their anyway to fix it without restoring it and starting over??

My iphone 5 won't charge and it's in perfect condition, I dont drop it and it's not cracked. I tried multiple chargers, none of them are damaged and my outlets work with other things so the problem is my phone. What's wrong with it and what should I do? Please help me I need my phone for work.
Make sure there's nothing blocking a contact in the charging port of the phone.

My Iphone won't charge and will only display an apple symbol that flashes on and off. The apple seems to have a split through it which I havent seen before. Theres no battery icon. I've plugged it into my coomputer and that hasnt worked. Tried to hold the on/off and power button together. Nothing seems to be working. Has anyone got any ideas. thanks

After updating to Yosemite, I updated iPhoto. Alert said to convert my library to new iPhoto. Then alert said I needed to repair permissions. Then a freeze. Then iPhoto won't find and show my library. How do I fix this? I can see the library icon on my external drive, but it doesn't show as a library in iPhoto. When I double click on the icon, nothing happens. When I choose it from alternate menu, doesn't open. Where do I get help?

Do you have a back up? What version of iPhoto do you have? Assuming 09 or later:
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

1. The most efficient way to charge an iPad is with the charger that came with the iPad and having that plugged into a wall outlet. Trying to charge while connected to a laptop often doesn't work because the USB port may not provide enough power.
2. Once an iPad battery has completely drained it may take an hour or more on the wall charger before the iPad responds. So after an hour on the charger reset the iPad. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.
3. If the iPad still does not start up make an appt at the Apple store. It will be far better if you have an appointment rather than just walking in because those with appointments will be taken care of before you are. -

The iPhone has a hardware problem - with the battery or something else.
The iPhone includes a one year warranty. If purchased new in October of 2012, it remains under warranty. Call AppleCare or make an appointment at an Apple Store if there is one nearby. -
I have an Iphone 3g and i can't turn on, but if i plug it on the Iphone charger i can see the Apple Logo but it quickly disappears(Apple Logo SOD) When I connect it to the computer it won't charge and it won't turn on, I tried DFU mode and it doesn't work. I tried STABBING IT(lol, it works sometimes) and i doesn't work again. If i can't connect it to the computer i can recover it but i know that it still works. WHAT SHOULD I DO!!!!!

Apple suggest a removal and re-install of iTunes to get over the 1601 / 1602 error message.
Other sites suggest trying a different USB socket… direct to the PC / Mac not a hub.

Macbook white won't charge, and problem with powering on.
Hi, I am helping a friend with his Macbook 13inch white model. A macbook3,1 model.
The battery won't charge and the Macbook itself won't usually power on, the only way to power it on is by pressing the power button and holding it down, then put in the magsafe, wait 5 seconds and release the power button and then press it once again. That way it starts up and works fine, only problem is that the fans are constantly running in highest mode.
Seems to be no way to reset the SMC on it, since when I shut it down, remove the battery and magsafe, hold down power button for 5 seconds, reattach battery and magsafe and press the power button once it won't power up, nothing happens.
I am clueless, anyone here who knows what can be done? Is it a faulty SMC on it?
Any answers on any solutions are appreciated.
